"Aoi Shiori"
γI wish this moment would last forever
that in the end we would be together
But time is slipping away too fast
so please don't go and say,
that we'll forget this anywayγ

Chisa's most striking feature is her large, brown eyes that are complimented by high arching eyebrows. These features work together to give her a very innocent appearance. Chisa's eyes seem to always be moist, as if she could break out into tears of joy or sadness at any time. Her cheekbones are very round, making her cheeks rather wide and chubby. She tends to blush rather easily, which tends to embarrass her. Her nose is small and narrow and turns up slightly at the end, and her mouth is almost always slightly open, whether in alarm or fascination. If her mouth is not open, her face usually falls into a rather blank yet curious expression, as though she is still trying to figure out the world.
Chisa's small size makes her seem younger than she is. She is very compact and seems almost chubby, though healthy. She has somewhat long legs and a short torso, which make her look almost like a small child. Her feet are also small proportionally, which lends to her overall clumsiness. in general, her movements are often uncoordinated, but without looking ridiculous unless she trips.

L I K E S
β Reading || For Chisa, reading is a way to see the world without having to go through all the terrifying uncertainty of actually traveling far away from home. It is a way to expand her horizons while staying in a familiar setting, and that is just right for Chisa.
β Cooking and Baking || It is always fun to see how things will turn out and making new recipes. It is always worth it to Chisa if she can bring a smile to someone's face!
β Taking walks || Though the island is small, Chisa has always been able to find something new when she walks around it. Plus, just walking in general, especially on the beach, is extremely relaxing.
β Swimming || Though Chisa stumbles more often than not on land, she is an excellent swimmer. She can often be seen at the public beach swimming around and relaxing in the warm waters.
β Window Shopping || Though she probably knows every store on main street, she cannot resist the fun of simply walking around and seeing what new merchandise is out. Especially when she is with a few friends, this could occupy an entire afternoon and Chisa would be perfectly content.
βMeeting new people || Chisa finds new people, no matter who they are, to be fascinating. She loves to hear people's stories and to get to know whoever she can.
βAnimals- Whether it is a dog, cat, snake, or grasshopper, Chisa is likely to want to hold it, play with it, and care for it. She has always been an animal lover and that is not likely to change anytime soon.
D I S L I K E S
β Traveling || For Chisa, traveling only seems to cause anxiety, discomfort, and sometimes sickness. She is not sure if it is the drastic changes or the modes of transportation, but she simply cannot relax when off the island. Planes themselves terrify her. The only thing she does enjoy about traveling is meeting new people at the destination.
β Big crowds || Living on a small island has made Chisa very used to only dealing with small amounts of people at a time. It quickly becomes far too overwhelming when there are lots of people in one place at a time, and it makes Chisa feel panicked.
β Cold || Chisa tends to get cold very easily, and she hates shivering. She would rather be too hot than too cold.
β Disorder || Since Chisa likes to keep things fairly neat, though not overly, when things are a total mess, it tends to make her feel ill at ease. She will quickly get the compulsion to deep clean whatever is in disarray.

β Uncoordinated|| If there is any possible way to trip over something, Chisa probably will. She has never been great at sports because of this, and could not catch something if it was thrown from a foot away.
β Ends Sentences with a Question || Especially if Chisa is uncertain about something, she will state declarative sentences like a question even when she is not asking. It can irritate some, but she mostly doesn't even realize she is doing it.
β Rescues strays || Chisa probably knows and is friendly with every stray animal on the island. The only reason she hasn't taken them all in is because her mother put her foot down after the third dog she brought home.
β Space Case || It never takes much to send Chisa off into her own world. She has weirded many people out by blankly staring at them when her mind was elsewhere.
β Freebies|| Likely because of her expressive face and child-like manner, every once in a while shopkeepers will just give her the little trinkets that catch her eye, but that she is hesitant to spend money on. Every shelf in her room is covered in little, cutesy knickknacks that she has accumulated over the years. It always makes her feel guilty, and she never begs, but often people insist.
F E A R S
β Darkness || Whenever it starts to get dark, Chisa is usually at home. She doesn't much like even being out at night, but she can stand it if she must. The only thing she truly fears is pitch darkness, when she cannot see enough to know she will not walk off a cliff or into something. She cannot even sleep without a night light.
β Acrophobia || It is not hard to see why Chisa would be scared of heights. After all, she is terribly clumsy, and when up high, that can have pretty serious, fatal consequences. However, she does take it slightly farther than a logical fear, and has a hard time even looking straight up without feeling dizzy and off-balance. Even standing on a chair feels too high.
β Loud noises || No matter what it is, Chisa's automatic reaction to a loud noise is usually to drop down and cover her ears.
β Planes || For whatever reason, Chisa has never liked planes. She is fine seeing them from the outside, but get her in those cramped quarters and up in the air and she will be in a state of high anxiety the whole flight. This is a major part of her dislike for travel.

Chisa is one who has a soft-spot for every living thing. Whether a person, animal, or even a flower, she can easily get attached to it. She is the kind of person that is usually late because she will get distracted by literally stopping to smell the roses. There is nothing too insignificant for her to care about, and she will go out of her way to care. Though she so highly enjoys plants and animals, other people are definitely the most important part of her life. She is highly compassionate and will always stick up for those she cares about. She is also very clumsy. It never takes long to see her bump into things, drop something, spill something else, and trip over something nonexistent. She has very little coordination and people often teasingly call her Grace. At the diner where she works with her mother, there is always an extra set of dishes and broom handy, since she so often spills things. She is also something of a daydreamer. It is never odd to see her staring off into space, absorbed completely in her own thoughts. This also means that she easily over thinks things, loses track of time, and loses track of what she is doing. She is still able to go with the flow until she figures out what she missed, though.
Chisa is highly sensitive, and it is not unusual to see her start to cry when she gets too overwhelmed. Still, she hates crying, especially around others since she doesn't want to be a hassle. Usually, she will quickly brush the tears out of her eyes and pretend everything is fine. When she makes a friend, she is extremely loyal and will do whatever she can do for them. There is no favor or activity too small, and she will always enjoy spending time with those she cares about. At the same time, Chisa is very trusting. This often means that she is very gullible, and can be tricked into just about everything. She has always been the girl that believed everything her friends told her, and still has suspicions that mermaids exist since one of her friends told her about seeing one and showed her a blurry picture in the fourth grade. Still, even when tricked, Chisa will always take it in good humour and laugh it off rather than get offended.

H I S T O R Y
There was nothing especially terrible or exciting in Chisa's childhood. She was born to her parents five years after her older sister, Yukiko. In fact, she was somewhat of a surprise baby, but was welcomed all the same. Yukiko, of course, was both thrilled to have a new little sister and jealous of the attention. Still, they got along well as Chisa grew up, though they were not terribly close. Yukiko was more and more involved in things outside her home as time went on, and even studied abroad in high school. Chisa, on the other hand, clung close to her mother's skirts for much of her young life, and was not very adventurous. Unlike her sister, Chisa was not terribly eager to stray far from home. In fact, Chisa had only been off of the Island twice. Once was when they took a family trip to see her mother's side of the family in the United States. The second was to attend her maternal grandfather's funeral. She had only met him once, but they had sent each other letters back and forth since then. This was the closest person that she know who passed away. She also has other grandparents in Japan, but has not met them.
Still, the main people Chisa has known as her family have simply been her mother, father, and sister. Her mother runs a small diner style restaurant on the main street of town. As soon as Chisa was old enough, she started helping in the diner and has loved it ever since. Her father, on the other hand, is a businessman with a large international company. His position requires that he travels frequently. It is very rare for him to be at home for more than a week at a time, and Chisa is not very close to him for this reason. Her sister was more like her father in that she immediately took to travel. She was much closer to their dad, and would go with him on his trips when possible. As soon ans Yukiko was old enough, she moved to the United states and makes a living as an executive assistant. For now, Chisa is content to continue helping her mother with the diner and exploring her little island.
She was so sure she knew every shop down main street, since she works there. When a new shop suddenly appeared, she was quickly lured in by curiosity, and simply could not resist such a good deal on such a strange lava lamp...
γThere are too many things that cannot be expressed just by words.
Will they be forgotten over time?
Is this the path to adulthood?
That old me who chased after my childhood dreams
Also becomes afraid.
...
Even without an answer, even if we donβt understand,
Surely we can greet tomorrow with a smile?γ
My original theme that already got taken off...-_-
