Unreal Tournament Universe

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Blueman on Fri May 09, 2008 9:14 am

I have found everything I can, weapon, race, and vehicle wise for this game that I could, and I plan on this thing being big...since there are a bunch of Unreal fans out there. My concept for this game isn't based around war, although occasionally I will introduce an actual mission for the people that like fighting for a reason other than being a famous killing machine. I want this to be more like the actual deathmatch, team deathmatch, CTF etc.

Anyway here we go.

The setting is placed in a vast, new, Tournament Dome created by Liandri, the hosts of the tournaments and championships. The Dome is a huge multi-environmental building used for the single purpose of fighting. The respawning technology has never failed, which lets players live after death. The weapons are numerous, the areas vast enough for full scale vehicular combat, and the races countless. This new Dome has joined many alien races together in the fight for conquest over all else. It is the new Unreal Tournament.

Races:

Skaarj: The Skaarj are a war-like reptilian race that has conquered a large portion of the galaxy, and who are currently at war with humanity.

Drakk: A mysterious race of ancient and extremely powerful insect-like machine. The Drakk are engaged in cruel biological experiments on captured members of the other species, attempting to create the perfect soldier by grafting body parts from humans, Skaarj, and Kai together.

Necris: Necris are a species of nanotechnologically modified humans who were originally designed by the Phayder Corporation to function as ultra-high performance Black Ops forces for hire from Phayder. White-skinned, gothic-looking and with advanced nanotechnology-based equipment designed by Phayder.

Automatons: Lightning fast reflexes and powerful synthetic musculature allow Automatons to jumpp higher and dodge faster than any other race in the arena. Automatons are gods compared to everyday humans, and have proven that point many times in the arena.

Gen Mo' Kai: Fast and agile compared to humans, but lack the durability and vitality of larger opponents. They make up for there weakness in close combat with the ability to distance themselves from the opponent in seconds.

Juggernauts: Physically augmented abominations, the Juggernauts are slow, but have the ability to shake of gun fire and rip through their enemies in quick succession.

Anubans: The Anubans have proven themselves time and time again by using their unique affinity for acrobatics and stimulants. They have been called show-offs by some, because their great ability to navigate any arena in the safest way possible.

Humans: A dying, but proud race. Whenever humans aren't at war, their duking it out in the arena. Their ability to to adapt to almost any arena and quickly find out the weaknesses of an enemy are the best Liandri has seen yet. These abilities make them formittable foes in the arena.

Weapons:

Translocator - Allows the user to translocate themselves with the discs it shoots, the translocator can also kill any opponent by translocating beneath them. Such an act is called telefragging.

Shield Gun - A combination of a shield to parry rounds of unfriendly fire and a combat weapon that when charged releases large amounts of physical damage, turning one's opponent to chunky salsa.

Assault Rifle - A basic rifle equipped with grenades, lacking any substantial firepower.

Bio Rifle - The "goop gun" which releases bio waste. The alternative fire prepares a large load of goop which can be used at a temporary mine-like blob. Also when used correctly, it can he a one-hit-KO.

Shock Rifle - A much more powerful rifle emitting blue shock beams, while the alternative fire releases a slow moving ball of energy. When used in tandem with the primary fire, a large explosion takes place, which is very effective in slaying opponents.

Link - Unleashing green particles, the link gun is useless unless used in a team. The link gun can be linked, hence its name, via secondary fire. By using the link beam and shooting a teammate who is also using the link gun, the damage of the key link gun user is dramatically increased.

Minigun - Your standard rapid fire machine gun. The secondary fire produces a slightly faster firing rate with reduced accuracy. A general tip in using the minigun is to always tap the trigger, so the minigun stays "primed," reducing the time it needs to start up to release carnage.

Flak Cannon - A cross between a shotgun and a cannon, the Flak Cannon can be extremely lethal in close proximity. In Unreal Tournament, the secondary fire (the cannon ball) has a friendly smiley face on the front.

Rocket Launcher - A weapon that shoots rockets(hence the name). The rocket launcher can fire up to three rockets at a time if loaded with the secondary fire, and can lock on an opponent.

Lightning Gun - A form of sniper rifle, the lightning gun causes a wealth of damage. However, it takes a fair amount of time to reload. Nonetheless, a head shot with the lightning gun almost ensures a frag.

T.A.G Rifle / Ion Cannon - The T.A.G. sends a beam to a satellite to initiate a nuclear strike, killing anyone within the immediate radius of about twenty yards of the strike.

Impact Hammer - A weapon much like the shield gun, but concentrates only on the attack.

Sniper Rifle - A long ranged weapon that can take out even a Juggernaut with a few shots.

Tarydium Stinger - A larger, more devestating version of the minigun, but fires at a slower rate. One of the weapons created by Liandri.

Vehicles:

Manta - a fast hovercraft which is more maneuverable than any other

Raptor (air superiority dogfighter)

Scorpion (light assault buggy, now equipped with mortars, blades that unfold in the front, and now has a speed-boost option which can be used to kamikaze itself into another target)

Hellbender (armored jeep, the driver now operates the air mine gun reducing the crew to 2)

Cicada (a two person air support vehicle), Hellfire SPMA (remote bombardment cannon with a significant improvement in handling)

Paladin (infantry support tank that uses an energy shield)

Goliath (battle tank)

Leviathan (heavy weapons platform)

Necris Viper - most similar to the Manta, a quick strike ground skimmer armed with single-bouncing energy pellets and a kamikaze function

The Nemesis - essentially a mobile energy turret with adaptable snake-like treads

DarkWalker - a heavy offensive vehicle, featuring a twin blast beam on a tripod walker

The Fury - the basic air vehicle of the Necris, with jelly-like propulsion

Nightshade is a cloaking stealth vehicle with deployables

Scavenger is an orb-like vehicle with a complex attack mode that shoots energy beams while the orb itself is moving towards the target
