IMPERIAL ARMY

PART I:
PART II: SOLDIERS
Imperial Infantryman
Imperial Knight
Infantrymen are the bulk of the Imperial Army, and are flexible in terms of adaptability to duty, though they aren't professionals like the others. Paratroopers and commando frogmen are also included here. Imperial Knights are similar to infantrymen, except knights are bound by a code of honour, and can also be employed as hell-jumpers. They are also similar to the White Guard, but aren't as fanatic.
The White Guard/Belaya Gvardiya/Waffen-WeiĆgarde
The White Guard is an elite force of soldiers, usually bigger and tougher than their regular Imperial Army counterparts. They are split into two:
- The Armed White Guard: elite soldiers serving in the front who are better at fighting than their Imperial Army counterparts, but are used for specialised or desperate situations. They are fanatics and would rather fight to the death rather than surrender, adding to their ferocity in fighting.
- The Homefront White Guard: soldiers serving as specialised police. Basically the Spetsnaz. The Caesar usually has five of these escorting him.
Cavalrymen
Though rarely used, cavalry units are some of the most important units in changing the course of a stalemate, as the mechanical horses used by these soldiers can traverse through terrain that cannot be traversed by regular tanks and vehicles, allowing them to climb very steep mountains while pulling medium to heavy artillery. They are armed with very long anti-tank spears with HEAT grenades attached to them, pistols, rifles, sabres, and regular spears. NEVER can be used in the frontline.
Heavy Infantry/Interplanetary Infantry
The two terms aren't interchangeable. Specialised heavy infantry is used as the soldiers in massive advances against heavily-protected places, or used in the main line of defence. They carry massive 20-30mm autocannons and carry only regular-calibre weapons as sidearms. However, regular infantry can also wear and carry the same weapons as heavy infantry, especially if they battle in space or other planets with different gravities, as heavy infantry suits can modify their own weight, but can also resist autocannon calibers of up to 25mm if the weight is modified to be lighter.
