Official League Rules:
Sleep Clause:
Two or more of your opponents Pokémon cannot be put to sleep by a sleep inducing move. Rest, however, does not count.
Evasion Clause:
Moves that increase a pokémon's evasion are not allowed. This also includes moves that lower accuracy such as Mud Slap, Sand-Attack, etc.
Species Clause:
Pokémon of the same species cannot be used in the same team. Species is determined by the pokemon's number in the pokedex. ex: porygon-Z and porygon 2 in the same team would not be in violation of the species clause.
One Hit KO Clause:
OHKO (One Hit KO) moves are not allowed. These moves are:
* Fissure
* Guillotine
* Horn Drill
* Sheer Cold
Self-KO Clause:
When you are on your last pokemon, You are not allowed to use a move that will force a tie i.e. Explosion or Selfdesctruct. Doing so will result in an automatic loss.
Uber Clause:
No Uber Pokémon are allowed. Ubers include the following Pokémon:
Arceus
Blaziken
Darkrai
Deoxys-A
Deoxys
Dialga
Excadrill
Garchomp
Giratina
Giratina-O
Groudon
Ho-Oh
Kyogre
Lugia
Manaphy
Mewtwo
Palkia
Rayquaza
Reshiram
Shaymin-S
Zekrom
Genosect*
Keldeo*
Meleotta*
*=These Pokemon are banned because their respective events have not been released yet and have not yet been placed into a tier yet.
Item Clause:
Your team cannot have multiple of the same items, meaning each Pokémon must hold a different items.
Items that are excluded from this rule are:
* Life Orb
* Leftovers
* Black Sludge
* Choice items (Specs, Band, and Scarf)
Wifi Clause (PO Battles only):
You must mark the "Wifi Clause" box in all NPL battles that take place on PO.(Pokemon Online)
Hax (Luck) Clause:
No items that involve luck may be used.
Items included in this clause are:
* Brightpowder
* Focus Band
* Lax Incense
* Lucky Punch
* Quick Claw
* Razor Claw
* Razor Fang
* Scope lense
* Stick
Soul Dew Clause:
The item Soul Dew may not be used.
Abilities/Ability Combos Banned:
Moody ability has been banned.
The use of Drizzle AND Swift Swim together is also banned.
Non-Released Clause:
Anything that is not available to the general public without hacking, whether it be a DW ability or a Pokemon species, is not available for use.
EX: At this time Genesect is unavailable to the general public without hacking and therefore is not available to use.
*New* Discretion Clause:
Competitors are not to disclose the comprising Pokemon of any Gym Leader or Elite Four member's team. Failure to abide by this rule will result in a permanent ban from competition.
*New* Rematch Clause:
Competitors will only be allowed to challenge any one Gym once a day, unless the Gym Leader allows otherwise.
