The Basics:

In the world of Cree, there are two systems of using Magic. Firstly, which is used the most often, is the Willpower M System (WMS for short). WMS uses the minds willpower to cast magic; this system of magic requires extreme imagination. You have to picture what wants to be done. WMS magicians usually start using the other system of magic when casting complex spells higher up in the rank system.

The other system is called Sigil M System (SMS for short). This system is rarely used due to its complexity; however it bares the strongest magic. Even a basic fire spell can be deadly if used correctly. The reason is because the Sigils and Magic Squares give a direct connection to the magical source the caster calls upon. This system is more mathematic and complex, so wizards of this system are rare. There are only (20) Wizards all over Cree who can use this system (Giruvegan Ueto being one of them).

Each system allows you to do the same spells, although the strength of the spell varies depending on caster and system. The (7) types of magic are as follows: Elemental, Spiritual, Arcane, White, Time, Green, and Binds/Seals. I will explain them and give some examples of them later on. Firstly, I would like to clear something up about these systems of magic.

This magic is not like others which call upon demons, angels, or other spirits of the world. Crees magic differs from the occult magic you often hear about. You know of the (5) Great Dragons of Cree correct? As well as a few of the legendary creatures: Pheonix, Pegasi, and Phooka? Cree’s magic calls upon these entities. Also, the basic Sigil sign is built upon in the SMS system when trying to do other magics. Sometimes it requires a mathematical number square to figure it out or you can make it up using some theories and hope to get it right. I will also include which entity is used with what type of magic and sub-categories. Now that the basics are over, let’s learn some magic!

*Tip*
Before casting a spell, to make it more accurate and powerful it is best to say a certain phrase before it. Depending on the type of magic you are using or element, it varies. (you can add your own spin to the phrase) Using this technique helps you greatly and improves more chances of success in Spiritual magic especially.

Chapter 1 - Magical Abilities

"... Alpha Stigma, which is said to analyze and comprehend all magic."

The Alpha Stigma
This is a unique magical ability that is hereditary and only found in the Japanese villages of Wyverbourne. Most originate from Nippon village however it is rather equal. While the majority of people refer to the Magic Eyes as "Demon Eyes,” the bearers themselves have taken to calling them "God's Eyes.”A Stigma is an ocular condition with five variations, the Magic Eyes give their hosts incredible inherent magical abilities. Despite their increased magical power, or perhaps because of it, Magic Eye bearers are almost universally hated and feared in all known countries. Once a person is confirmed a bearer they and their close family and friends are killed. That is why a secret village covered in illusion has been created to train and house these Alpha Stigmas and guard them from the outside world. Some are accepted by society, like Giruvegan by showing extreme mastery of their ability. He is in the 20 most powerful mages in the world, most are Alpha Stigma bearers.


The Alpha Stigma is known as a trait which happens in a rare few humans across the land of Cree. It is the magic eye which is able to analyze and understand all magic. It is also possible for the Alpha Stigma to analyze structures around the bearer. The Alpha Stigma is usually activated by the death of a friend or family member, which causes the user to go on a rampage, seeking destruction and death for those around the user. Users seem to have a god-like persona, which has to wreak havoc until either the body burns out and the user kills him/herself, or the Alpha Stigma is crystallized and gouged out. Crystallization occurs by disruption of the user's eyes or mind, which drives the user to the edge of madness and beyond, allowing the crystal to be gouged out. The most probable reason for the Alpha Stigma to be more common is due to the nature of the Alpha Stigma. The Alpha Stigma's tendency to go berserk and kill, in comparison to the other types, might be the reason it is the only one so widely known.

Lino Doue
The Lino Doue is able to devour the lives of humans. In addition, the bearers seem to have a lust for human flesh as well. One who uses the Lino Doue is able to absorb magic and mana from humans, due to the fact that the human body within Cree uses magic in a mana based text. The Lino Doue seems to not have a point of insanity similar to Alpha Stigma, but the users have been shown to become angered when provoked. When a user of these eyes absorbs magic or the lives of people, they can regenerate their wounds and become stronger, though they can still be wounded or killed. The Lino Doue is one of the more rare stigmas . The only known bearer of this type is within the 20 Mages, known as Miyavi Keifer.

Ebra Crypt
Ebra Crypt is an ability, similar to the Alpha Stigma, except that it allows the bearer to look into a person's dreams. It has the ability to see into others dreams and the user seems to be able to access these dreams upon their own free will. Though it is said that most of the time the user will access random dreams of strangers, once they are able to access the dream of someone, it seems they are able to find his dreams again. However, bearers can only see fragments of the dreams they access, and it is never shown whether or not this eye can drive the user insane like the Alpha stigma does.

Will Heim
The eyes of envy. Allows the user to see others' weaknesses and strengths, but causes the user to see themselves as inferior. Jealousy sets in and the user begins to hate those around themselves. They have a higher tolerance for other Demons Eye users, however. This stigma, along with lino Doue, can hear what some refers to as 'God's Voice'.

Torch Curse
When activated, this eye stops the user's growth and development, so they do not appear to age, but their body 'decays' quicker. It appears as red birds over the bearer's eye, and allows the bearer to see into the future. Using this power appears to have negative effects on the body, as one user became blind (to present, she was still able to see future), apparently from overusing Torch Curse. With each use, the bearer's eyes and hair become more purple. It's the rarest of all stigmas. It is said that Diablo holds one at his side.


Chapter 2 - Elemental


Elemental
Elemental magic originates from the Five Great Dragons. I will list some spells available. Variations can be created from these, since most magic consists from imagination. These are the basic founding blocks (and to give you inspiration for your own magic ideas. Please add them here if you have any ideas for spells).

Draconem – Fire
β€’ Fira – A basic fire attack
β€’ Firaga – 2nd level fire attack
β€’ Firagaja – 3rd level fire attack (Strongest)
β€’ Igneus – Lava
β€’ Glandis – Literally translates into Fireballs in latin
β€’ Ignis Laqueum – write a sigil on a certain area and when a person gets near it or walks over it they will light on fire
β€’ Ignis digitus tips – Fire Finger-tips, these can be used as light to guide you in darkness, burn someone, or make chokes/punches stronger. Use varies.
β€’ Ignis Pluvia – Fire rain, this causes fire to rain down from the sky
β€’ Ignis Murus - Fire wall
β€’ Ignis Curvatura – Fire bending, temporary allows you to bend fire but takes a long time to cast and lasts for only 30 seconds. If using a sigil, will last longer and take less time to cast. High level magic spell
β€’ Ignis Scuto – Fire Shield. Usage varies.
β€’ Flare - Deal massive damage to one foe. Like a bomb or firework. High lvl magic)

Depollo – Ice
β€’ Blitz – A basic ice attack
β€’ Blitiga – 2nd level ice attack
β€’ Blizzaga – 3rd level ice attack (strongest)
β€’ Glacies – Surrounds the foe in an embodiment of ice
β€’ Glacies Pilam – Ice bombs, throw an ice ball at the target and it will explode, sending sharp, glass-like ice everywhere
β€’ Glacies Laqueum - write a sigil on a certain area and when a person walks over it their feet will be trapped by ice up to their knees.
β€’ Glacies Articulos – Ice Knuckles, these can strengthen your punches
β€’ Glacies Pluvia – Ice rain, this causes ice to rain down from the sky
β€’ Glacies Murus – Ice wall
β€’ Glacies Scuto – Ice Shield. Usage varies.

Tares – Earth
β€’ Terrae – Basic earth attack
β€’ Terraeaga – 2nd level earth attack
β€’ Terraeja – 3rd level earth attack (strongest)
β€’ Terrae occuldo – Earth Close, trap the target in a circle ball
β€’ Terrae Pilam – Earth Ball, summons a boulder. To summon multiple big boulders you need a sigil, to summon multiple smaller ones (if number is under 5) you do not need to draw a sigil.
β€’ Terrae Laqueum – Draw the earth sigil on a certain area and when a person nears it, a wall of earth will block them in. If drawn on a place where a door is, you can block them in. To block them in walls of earth you need to draw 4 sigils, and when they walk in the middle of it the sigils will go into action.
β€’ Terrae Pugnus – Makes earth wrap around your fist, can strengthen punches but it is heavy. Combined with the right magic it can be light, but mixing magic attacks gets into more complicated terms.
β€’ Terrae Calcitro – same as Terrae Pugnus instead with the leg.
β€’ Terrae Pluvia – Earth Rain, same as other Pluvias.
β€’ Terrae Curvatura – Earth bending, temporary allows you to bend earth, takes a long time to cast and lasts for only 30 seconds. If using a sigil, will last longer and take less time to cast. (High level magic spell) *Note: You cannot bend ice.
β€’ Terrae Scuto – Earth Shield. Usage varies.

Aquarius – Water
β€’ Aqua – A basic water attack
β€’ Aquaga – 2nd level water attack
β€’ Aquaja– 3rd level water attack (strongest)
β€’ Aquaies– Surrounds the foe in an embodiment of water, could suffocate them or make them pass down. Could embody a burn or wound in water to cool it down. Varies on usage.
β€’ Aqua Laqueum - write a sigil on a certain area and when a person walks over it they will get trapped in an attack like Aquaies
β€’ Aqua Venenum Pluvia – Casts a poisonous acid rain to fall, can affect user if no shield applied. (Can get through earth & ice, strengthens through fire shield, wind shield moves it but it could still get on you, water shield will absorb it).
β€’ Aqua Murus – Water wall
β€’ Aqua Scuto – Water shield. Usage varies.
β€’ Aqua Curvatura – Water bending, temporary allows you to bend water but takes a long time to cast and lasts for only 30 seconds. If using a sigil, will last longer and take less time to cast. (High level magic spell) *Note: You cannot bend ice.

Ares – Wind
β€’ Ventus – A basic wind attack
β€’ Ventaga – 2nd level wind attack
β€’ Ventaja – 3rd level wind attack (strongest)
β€’ Venties – Surrounds the foe in an embodiment of wind which could suffocate them or make them pass down. Varies on usage.
β€’ Ventus Laqueum - write a sigil on a certain area and when a person walks over it they will get cut by wind or thrown up into the air. Writing a (1) or (2) above the sigil could chance the trap. Needs to be used with SMS, if used with WMS than it’s possible it won’t go to the one you want.
β€’ Ventus musa – Wind gust. Usage varies.
β€’ Ventus Murus – Wind Wall, if people try to get through could die from cuts(loss of blood) or be thrown up into the air. Writing a (1) or (2) above sigil helps. Needs to be used with SMS, if used with WMS than it’s possible it won’t go to the one you want.
β€’ Ventus Cogita – Wind reflect, can reflect things. Usage varies.
β€’ Ventus Curvatura – Wind bending, temporary allows you to bend wind but takes a long time to cast and lasts for only 30 seconds. If using a sigil, will last longer and take less time to cast. (High level magic spell) *Note: You cannot bend ice.


Chapter 3 - White

White – Phari
White magic consists of positive energies, and is the easiest to use without sigils. It a magic that consists of healing health or status effects enlisted by Arcane magic. The elemental attacks of light are put in this region because it is separate from the dragons powers. Holy magic is most effective against Arcane magic and the dead/evil beings. For example, Goblins.

β€’ Cure - Restore a small amount of health to one ally (beginner)
β€’ Erigo – Raise, revive one unconscious ally
β€’ Cura - Restore health to all allies in range ( 2nd level)
β€’ Regen - Restore health over time
β€’ Esuna - Remove harmful status effects from one ally
β€’ Curaga - Restore a large amount of health to an ally
β€’ Poisona - Remove poison
β€’ Blindna - Remove blind (cannot remove true blindness. Only the touch of a unicorns horn can do this)
β€’ Vox - Remove silence
β€’ Stona - Remove stone/petrify from ally
β€’ Cleanse - Remove disease
β€’ Dispel - Remove beneficial status effects from one foe
β€’ Curaja - Restore a large amount of health to all allies in range
β€’ Dispelga - Remove beneficial status effects from all foes in range
β€’ Arise - Revive and fully restore health of one unconscious ally
β€’ Esunaga - Remove harmful status effects from all allies in range
β€’ Sanctus - Deal holy damage to one foe
β€’ Lux Pluvia – Light Rain, holy light rains down from the sky
β€’ Mico – Flash, this flashes a bright light to blind the enemy temporarily


Chapter 4 - Green

Green – Goblins
Green Magic is that of buffering, it increases certain your skills for a certain amount of time depending on your endurance with magic/how well you are with it. The most complicated spell here is Duplicare, and the most out of place is Oleum.

β€’ Protect - raise one Allyson defense
β€’ Shell - raise one allies magic resist
β€’ Oleum - increase fire damage dealt to all foes in range
β€’ Shellga - raise magic resist to all allies in range
β€’ Protectga - raise defense to all allies in range
β€’ Duplicare – Duplicate a certain amount of copies of yourself. # of Sigils required every 5. 15=1Sigil, 20=2Sigils, 25=3Sigils, etc.
β€’ Furtum – A magic that steals a persons item or money, it’s a bit like a green mist.
β€’ Celeritas – Increases speed to ally or self
β€’ Fortitudo – Increases strength to ally or self
β€’ Defensio – Increases defense to ally or self


Chapter 5 - Time

Time – Pheonix
Pheonix is the entity which manipulates time. Every year it must mate, and every 10 years it must be reborn and dive into a volcanoes turning into Ash. Pheonix’s use a combination of White, Time, and Elemental: Fire Magic. Time magic is extremely tricky though and may or may not work. More chances it will work with a Pheonix and or Sigils.

β€’ Disable - Prevent all foes in range from taking action
β€’ Propatulus - Turn one foe into stone after a short time
β€’ Volito - Allow allies or thy self to float
β€’ Segnis - Slow one foes actions
β€’ Repercutio - Cause magic to be reflected from one ally
β€’ Perversio - It explains itself. Can only do it to yourself unless Alpha Stigma
β€’ Stagno - Immobilize all foes in range
β€’ Haste - Speed up one allies actions and speed *no side effect like lvl. 5 haste
β€’ Festinatio - Halt the actions of one foe completely
β€’ Segnisga - Slow the actions of all foes in range



Chapter 6 - Binds/Seals

Seals are very tricky. There is one seal and depending on how much stronger you need it to be you make the Sigil bigger, including the number sum. There are also a couple of binding spells. Seals can ONLY be used with SMS.

β€’ Sigillum Aetername – This is an eternal seal and it can only be released with its counterpart spell.
β€’ Reserare sigillum – This unlocks the Eternal seal. However, only high class magicians can use these two spells. There is a specific monologue that goes along with it that only high class magicians know because they can unlock the code. The phrase is within the numbers of the Sigils.
β€’ Plantate Ligaveris – Plants (vines) rise from the ground and wrap around you to bind you.
β€’ Ligaveris Glacies – Ice bind
β€’ Ignis Ligaveris – Fire bind
β€’ Aqua Ligaveris – Water bind
β€’ Ventum Ligare – Wind bind
β€’ Ligaveris Super Terram – Earth bind
β€’ Sanctum Ligaveris – Holy bind
β€’ Tenebris Ligaveris – Dark bind
β€’ Ligatis Lapidem – Stone weighs down your feet
β€’ Spiritus Ligaveris – Spirit bind. This changes your mood and bounds it into depression. You are so depressed you can’t even move or think.




Chapter 7 - Spiritual

Spiritual – Degore & Spiritus

Spiritual Magic is a combination of the element of stone and the dead. The reason is due to the fact that Spiritus himself was a Gargoyle in his life-time. This adds the stone spice, Degore becoming a new figure in the world of Cree has opened many doors to stone magic that scientists are still studying. It seems to also strengthen Spiritus power. Warning: Using this magic without a Sigil is asking for a death wish. Without the sigil, it is suggested you use the phrasing. However, you are still pushing your luck. Please avoid this magic unless you know the SMS.

For SMS Users: Drawing the left half of the sigil by itself will give you magic power from Degore. While drawing the right side of the sigil by itself will give you access to Spiritus’ magic. The two combined do other things.

1. Thought-form(Degore)
β€’ Popules Lapidare – Stone people, summon things like Golems
β€’ Shock - Deal heavy electric damage to one foe

2. Thought-form(Spiritus)
β€’ Lapidem Spiritus – Stone Ghosts, summon the dead Gargoyles
β€’ Infantem Lapidem Spiritus – Summon dead baby Gargoyles
β€’ Cane Spiritus – Summon ghost guard hounds, they are stone/scale like

3. Thought-form(Degore + Spiritus)
*Side Note: using Thoughtform Degore+Spiritus (magical term is TF Osseus Spiritus), you MUST use sigils. Also, this magic is tricky and deadly and requires a high skill in magic, concentration, and a strong mental willpower. These summons can turn on you, so also knowing how to fight to save your butt if you can’t cancel the spell helps!

β€’ Capita Osseus– Skeleton heads. Can be used to attack and eat victim (can summon up to 3 without a sigil), as bait, decoy, usage varies.
β€’ Truncumque Osseus Spiritus – Ghost has high magic power, can decapitate target(it likes to remove the heads of its enemies), can be used to scare, usage varies.

β€’ Draconem Osseus Spiritus – Summon dead dragons (have a skeleton form, some will still have flesh on them or decay)
β€’ Veneficus Osseus Spiritus – Summon the remains of dead wizards
β€’ Bellatores Osseus Spiritus – Summon the remains of dead soldiers.



Chapter 8 - Arcane

Arcane - Tenebris Equum
Arcane magic, also known as "Nether Magic" is a type of magic that deals with direct damage or negative Statuses that distort the judgment of either ally or foe. This is considered Dark magic. Arcane Magic is the skill set of the Arcanist. The spells that comprise it focus primarily on spells attuned with Gravity and Darkness, and include several spells dependent on level.

β€’ Syphon - Drains magical power (abb.MP) from a unit; User regains health equal to amount drained.
β€’ Gravity - Causes the gravitational force to pull you down, you can resist it with perseverance
β€’ Drain - Drains health from a unit; User regains health equal to damage dealt.
β€’ Graviga - 2nd level magic attack of Gravity, very hard to resist. Almost impossible.
β€’ Lv.3 Dark - Dark-elemental damage to all units within range
β€’ Lv.5 Haste - Bestows Haste to all units, produces an ungodly speed. Negative side effect: you will not be able to move for a week after spell use. Only lasts for a few minutes.
β€’ Snake heads - Transform the hair on your head into 7 venomous snakes that will stretch out and attack
β€’ Shadow - Calls upon the shadows to attack (power depends on how much shadow is in the area)
β€’ Fear - Summons darkness to surround you, installing your worst fear. It is a bit like a hallucination
β€’ Black Crystals - Like ice crystal attacks but with black crystals
β€’ Scourge - Inflict sap and deal heavy damage to all foes in range
β€’ Sap – Sucks health from an enemy at a fast rate. High level magic.
β€’ Disease – Causes the target to lose health at a alarming rate and not even know. *When the target goes unconscious, if it’s an ally, you must first make them conscious and heal the disease before they are attacked, and then heal their health.
β€’ Silence – Takes away a persons ability to cast magic unless Esuna is used.
