Well, it has BEGUN. Almost. There's an introduction page and rules. That's sort of a beginning.

Now for the exciting creation of character pages...
(I'm more or less just rambling in order to do away with that randomly generated message and prove that I'm actually here and awaiting OOC conversation.)

Sounds good! I just added Jacob, though I'm sure I'll be fleshing that info out a bit more as we go (Most of his story revolves around your character, so I'll have to get to know her a bit before I can think too much into it, haha).

Don't kill yourself! I just recently graduated from college and essays are heeeell (in the sense that they are fairly easy to BS, but super crazy infuriatingly inconvenient when you would rather be doing everything in the world except writing an essay). XP

Oh, it's only three pages... about an inane subject OTL But I got this done! If anyone has a character idea that would work better with some tweaks to this, just say so and I'll be happy to work something out.

Victory's parents dragged themselves out of poverty with hard work and sacrifice and named their first daughter after their success, expecting her to follow suit. From a young age, Victory learned to deal with her problems by shutting herself inside her own mind. Using her favorite fantasy books as a template, she created a colorful world to serve as her fortress into which she could escape from her parents' high expectations. When she was around ten, her parents realized that she spent quite a bit of time shut up in her room and began to send her on playdates. The imagination games she played with the other kids only served to strengthen and grow Precaria.

In middle school, she became a target for bullies because she lacked a large network of friends. Through the first half of middle school, this pushed her further into her imaginary world, but around the latter half of seventh grade, she became frustrated when Precaria failed to solve her real-world problems and gradually stopped visiting. She turned her attention to her schoolwork, which improved her standing with her parents but kept her reclusive.

She became more outgoing when she joined the color guard in high school. In parallel, she started to become more aware of her attraction to other girls. She tried to push it aside, assuming it was unnatural, but it continued to bother her throughout high school. In her junior year, she managed to get a job at the local post office in order to save for college for radio journalism.

After she graduated, she kept her job, deciding to take classes online while she worked. Her parents had her move out in the summer, so she now lives on her own in an apartment. After a long bout of self-doubt, she found a girlfriend, hiding the relationship from her family for about a year. It reached an explosive end, however, just after her parents found out about her girlfriend. In the meantime, she's had to find a second job at a bookstore and sell her plasma to pay all the bills.

The bit about her leaving Precaria as a gradual process gives me some ideas. Jacob would have been waiting for her to come back like Fry's dog, though at some point he would have given up or just plum forgotten what he was waiting for.

I'm thinking Jacob was probably someone Victory met only briefly, but saved her in some way. He was one of the first in Precaria, so she would have been very young and it might have been something as simple as rushing into a street to stop her getting hit by a car. A fleeting glance and a few simple words like "I've got you, you're safe, it's okay" and then her protector had a face.

IDEAS. Hmmmmmm!

There's space! The list of available characters is a good starting point, if something there appeals to you, but if you have a different character in mind, feel free to suggest them. ^^
