Guidelines to Faction, Race and Character Creation

Just to be clear, one can role-play as a character from an existing race without permission. When someone creates a race, unless they have obtained permission from the moderators of this RP to do otherwise, they are making it public and available for grabs.

Permission from the faction's current lead RPer is required to role-play as a character from said faction.

Faction Creation
As this is a time of unrest, different factions are required to wage war against one another or form friendly alliances between themselves. Here, in Terra Nostra, we are doing things a bit differently in the sense that we encourage role-players to create their own nation and puppet more than one characters of said nation. War will take place between NPCs and outcomes will be dictated by the strategic choices of their characters, usually a relatively high-ranking official of their faction, and the faction's manpower. Outcomes are not 100% based on "stats" for we have very few of that here, but will rely instead on strategic move and placement of armies. Keep in mind that army power aren't dependent of your character's might. We frown upon the concept of "one-man-armies" so popular in the media. Your characters are stronger than the average soldier, being more educated and having a larger arsenal of powers and skills, but they are still a single warrior. This implies that critical and strategic thinking are a must for success and that is where you come in, as the strategist that will lead your people to either victory or defeat.
