An in-depth look into each power and skill.
Speaking with the dead allows the player to speak with Ghosts, even ones that are not specifically connected to them.
Seeing Ghosts, and sometimes death echoes (which are looped visions of the ghosts gruesome death)
Controlling Ghosts, or more specifically being able to control the Ghost that is connected to the Anathema. Other Ghosts cannot be controlled.
Self-Possession, which is allowing a Ghost to posses you in order to get a message across. Can be helpful in the event that a Ghost cannot 'voice' by themselves.
Seeing Through A Ghost, again more specifically the Ghost that the Anathema is connected to. If the Ghost is somewhere away from the Anathema they can look through each others eyes.
Telepathy, between yourself and other Anathema. This rarely works on anyone who isn't an Anathema, but can be very helpful in the event that you need to get a message to someone quickly without anyone else knowing.
Possession, of humans, and animals by your Ghost. This skill allows the Anathema to create a passage way to another person/animal in which the Ghost can enter and begin manipulating the body. A noticeable problem however is that the possession will be visible to others through the eyes, which often times roll back as if the person is having a seizure. The person or animal being possessed will also walk weird, and if the Ghost is not particularly practiced at possession they will be unable to properly speak.
Astral Projection/Switching, a practice between Anathema and Ghost where the body of the Anathema is possessed and the Ghost forces the Anathema out so that they can Astral Project themselves. This is a power most effectively used during sleep, as the Anathemas body will be able to rest while the Anathema themselves continue on.
Drawing Energy, an extremely painful process (for both parties involved) that makes use of a Ghosts spiritual energy by drawing it - kind of like a magnet - into the Anathema. This power if underdeveloped can lead to nasty migraines and awful nightmares, and usually isn't all that fun to do. The Energy gained from the Ghost however is one that can heal physical wounds, and give extra strength to the Anathema.
Memory Sense, the ability to see a memory by touching a person, animal, or object. Memory Sense can only happen if the Ghost connected to the Anathema is also touching the object at the same time, opening up a pathway between past and present in the Anathemas mind.
A Few Rules When It Comes To Powers And Skills.
All Anathema have the basic powers + 1 Special Skill. However if anyone wants an additional skill they have to give up two of their basic powers. If they want three skills then another two basic powers would be given up. 3 is the maximum amount of special skills an Anathema can have without losing all of their basic skills. This may seem a little unfair but it allows for less power playing.
