The Elves of Aedillon

General Appearance
Average Height for Men: 5’10 – 6’8”
Average Height for Women: 5’5” – 5’10”
Tall and slender, angular, Aedillonians are generally pale in coloration. Their skin is verging on cold marble, a hint of color the only indication that they aren’t carved from it. Hair colors range from a pale, diluted blond to snow white, some bearing a seemingly blueish tinge to the hairs. Their eye colors are as pale as their hair, and there are few colors beyond pale lavender, pale blue, and pale green, and silver, the colors often so pale as to almost appear white. As a race that prizes purity of blood and arcane power above most all else, they are a very similarly featured strain of elves.

Pointed chins, high cheekbones, large, slanted eyes, and thin noses are all highly common features found in their facial structures, and their ear tips extend up to two and a quarter inches past their hair to a delicate point. Facial hair beyond eyebrows is nonexistent for this race, despite living in such a frigid climate.

Preferred clothing and accessories tends to revolve around silvers, whites, and mostly silks. Moonstones, diamonds, white gold and silver are prized as jewelry, and can often be seen glittering upon the tunics of highborn citizens and nobility.

General Attitude
Aedillonians are a lofty strain of elves. Their attitude toward other races and other strains of elves is generally very much a ‘higher than thou’ kind of snark. They pride themselves on purity of blood, intellect, and arcane power. Women are not fighters, instead meant to remain at home and tend to their children, cooking, and affairs of the house and family. Women taking up arms is a foreign, shocking concept to the Aedillonian society, and a woman ruling a fief, much less a kingdom, is tantamount to the sky falling. That's not to say women aren't respected in their own right. They just aren't allowed to lead.

Aedillon is deeply ingrained in the arcane arts, and their connection with the land is much diminished from what it once was. As such, they feel little concern for cutting down a tree to make paper for their tomes and not planting a sapling in return. They have little regard for nature in general, being far more fascinated by the stars and the Auroras that dance almost every night through their skies.
