Personality: Paralyzed from the waist down, Compassionate, Patient, Understanding, Healer, light sense of humor.

Information: Melanie is the wife to Mercer Laynes, the Mayor of Crossroads. She’s the current town surgeon, even though she’s confined to a wheelchair due to an attack on the settlement twenty years back. She’s a kind and caring woman, almost to a fault. She’ll stay up for days with a dying patient just to make sure that if they do pass on her watch, they don’t go alone. While many consider her handicap to be an impairment, one that could lead to her or others death rather quickly, she will never admit to it being so. Her entire clinic has been modified in consideration to her condition, and everyone agrees that she’s probably one of the better doctors out there in the Gulf.

Information: James Everret is the current Guard Captain of Crossroads and performs his job with an unbridled yet aggressive enthusiasm. He’s the first person to suggest a retaliatory or pre-emptive strike, and will stop at nothing to protect the people of Crossroads. His past isn’t the most glamorous or even ethical thing to look at, but his skill with a firearm and his cool head under pressure have brought him into a position of power over the security of Crossroads, answering only to Mayor Laynes.

Personality: Happy-go-lucky, clean mouth, pleasant, intelligent, impatient, optimist, naive.

Information: Tom Tom is the resident go-to man for anything mechanical or electrical in nature. His abilities with tools, ranging from water purification systems to armor smithing to weapon modification is nothing short of extraordinary. Despite this, he has a rather ‘nice’ view on the world that doesn’t match the ugly underbelly that everyone can see clear as day. He’s too quick to trust, to easy to manipulate, and sometimes ends up costing people with his naivety. He wants to help people and make the world a better place, unfortunately he simply doesn’t have the necessary common sense to help do that without serious oversight.
