Emily stands at a striking height of 5'9 thanks to a pair of toned, elongated legs. Her legs hold up a slender frame which was once a bit 'chunkier' than it is now. Due to stress and lack of a desire to indulge in food, she has taken on a quite slender frame. Though she is thin, it doesn't appear to be in an unhealthy way. Her slender figure is carried in the most graceful way, even by the way she walks. She is delicate, dexterous and simply pleasing to the eye. With a heart shaped face, her cheeks always seemed to be raised in an action as if she is smiling. When she does smile, two dimples are sunken in to her cheeks but only visible when her lips are curved. Her eyes are wide and appear 'dream-like' but also have an almond shape to them. They are a deep turquoise color, which can leave a person in awe. Her eyes are surrounded by thick eyelashes which usually are never covered in make-up since Emily already holds dark features. Her hair is a soft dark brown with a few shades of light brown and is always loosely hanging down her back to its center in a wavy curl.
Persona
There is always that cousin in your family, who is just distant from the rest. They might share a laugh or two, but when it comes to conversation they are more kept to their selves. That has always been Emily. Her demure and timid personality has always been a characteristic of hers. She is indeed very quiet but only because she is observant of people and her surroundings. When she does speak or strike a conversation it is most likely words of importance. At least to her. Even though she holds back from being spontaneous, she is still the kind of girl you love to have around because of her uplifting attitude. At times, she might crack a side joke and even bring a crowd out of gloom with roaring laughter. She always manages to see the brighter side of things even through the biggest trials she has struggled with. With intelligence and smarts, she has pulled her way through academic challenges, paving the road for a bright future. She is very in tune with her education as well as life itself. She likes to see herself as too determined to be defeated. To most, she seems perfect. She has forced that image upon herself because she refuses to expose her flaws. In ways, she has always gotten what she wants and when she doesn't, she can be demanding and impatient. Her current relationship has also put a strain on her, causing her to be much more depressed and stressed than usual. But knowing Emily, she doesn't let that show. She covers it perfectly. With a perfect smile.
Brief Bio
Emily was born and raised in a small town, just next to Boise, Idaho. Star, Idaho. Small, rural and everybody knows everybody. She was born to a beautiful 'sweet' mouthed woman named Marie Ann Carter and a hard working father named Daniel Carter. She would be the last addition to their children, having 3 older siblings. They lived a pretty normal and settled middle class life in a middle class home making a middle class living. They were happy and even though times could get rough, Marie especially never let her children witness their struggles first hand. At the age of 10, Emily's mother realized she couldn't shelter her children from much, and they all were witness to their fathers neglectful ways. He was a drunk. A complete drunk. He lost his job, rent wasn't able to be paid and bills shot through the roof. The family eventually lost their home. Her mother blames herself, but Emily has always blamed her father. When she was 11, they relocated to a small apartment, still in Star, Idaho. Her mother sent them off to a new school, hopefully giving them a new change and something to distract them from the trouble at home. There, she met Sam. And it was there, they became inseperable. Some found it odd, how a boy and a girl could be so close. But they were blind to what the world saw. They only saw what they felt. She loved him and he became the most important person in her life. Her rock, her shelter from the world, her solace. Over time, their lives grew slowly apart, but not out of sight. She held on to their childhood memories as they both succeeded through high school and moved on to college. She never went through a day, without Sam crossing her mind at least once. She had to admit, that when she found out someone else was holding his heart, it hurt her in a way words could never do justice to describe. She eventually found herself in arms of another. Nick. She loves him.
Hobbies/Interests
Emily is very fond of reading and writing and even though she has changed her career interest, she remains faithful to literature. She enjoys swimming, running, being outdoors and she loves the snow. She might not be spontaneous or outgoing at times, but she does enjoy a good time.
Something no one knows
Emily has picked up a terrible habit of smoking and even having the occasional drink when she is under stress, something she has never done. She is usually verbally abused by her boyfriend Nick, but not physically.. yet. She swears, there is good in him somewhere.
