Tips: 0.00 INK

Okay, first of all, I wasn't sure where to put this question, so I decided to put it here.
Ahem. I consider myself a pretty good player/writer. I have good grammar, good language, can write posts of varying length and without excessive detail. But I do take a while to post. The problem isn't typing slowly, having to correct my mistakes a lot, not knowing what to write or anything respectable. The thing is, 80% to 95% of the total time I spend on making a post (starting with thinking of a post and ending with sending it) I waste on picking words. I know what I want to write, but I can never pick the words that I feel would express my opinion best, even when they all mean almost the same thing.
I didn't think this was a problem in the past, but I recently got into a new 1x1 roleplay. I'd say we're on about the same level in writing. There are two differences. One, their posts contain a bunch of typos, but that isn't really a problem since I often skip right over them. Two, they take fifteen to forty minutes to reply, while I take forty minutes to over two hours to do so, when our posts are of the same length/quality. My partner hadn't said anything about it, but it's really bothering me.
So, any tips on being able to put your thoughts into text faster?
Irony is lost on those whose behavior is ironic. Isn't that... ironic?
