It was probably about nine o'clock at night at the moment, and seventeen year old Ariel and her best friend she called Flounder, were out again. Out as in, out in the ocean. The girls went for late swims like this every night...and somehow they were never spotted by anyone from the island. Which was great because if they were, Ariel would be sent to her father to most likely be scolded, and Flounder would be sent to her own home. Most likely guilt ridden. At least that's what happened when the two had ever been caught going on adventures before. Ariel loved going on adventures. Especially with Flounder, even though the girl protested half the time. The redhead didn't really mind it of course, it was something she'd grown to love, actually. And honestly, Ariel would miss it if she didn't get to hear Flounder's "But Ariel!" every time she wanted to take her to do something.
-

"What's that?" Ariel asked excitedly as the two floated aways away from the shore of Atlantica. Her bright blue eyes were focused on what could only be a boat...a bigger one than she'd even seen before. "It's just a boat Ariel." Flounder assured her friend. "Please don't get any ideas." the blonde added. Ariel turned to look at her, giving a big smile. "Oh but come on Flounder! When will we ever get to see a boat this big again? Or people from the Mainland?" the girl informed "We'll just swim over, see it up close for a few minutes, and then we'll go home, okay? I promise." she added before immediately starting to swim over to the boat, which seemed to be stationary at the moment...or just moving really, really slowly.

"But what if-" "Don't be such a scaredy cat Flounder!" Ariel interrupted as she so often did.

Going for daily swims had it's advantages...like being able to swim as far out to sea as she wanted. And right now that was very helpful, since that boat seemed to be a little aways away from where the two had previously been. Ariel made it though, and apparently so did Flounder since the blonde was at Ariel's side, holding onto an outside ledge of the boat. "See? It's not so bad." Ariel told her friend with a very happy smile. "Well...I guess it's not." Flounder said defeatedly. "Now. Let's see what going on on this thing." Ariel instructed before letting go of the small ledge to swim around the boat to look for a place to watch the people from. "But that idea might be." Flounder sighed before following after the girl.

Soon enough, both girls were standing on a blow-up lifeboat that had been lowered into the water for some reason or another. Both girls watched the happenings on the boat from a little opening just at deck level...and Ariel couldn't have been happier. "Isn't this exciting Flounder? Just look at them..." Ariel said, trailing off softly.

Nala practically bounced up and down (as seven year olds often did) as she waited at the front gate of her estate for her mother to come let her out. She had to get to Simba's house before he came out to greet her! She had what she would call a "Surprise" for him that he couldn't know about. "Come on mom! Hurry up!" the little girl practically yelled as she started running down the path that connected both family's houses. "Okay, okay, calm down! We'll be there in a second." Sarafina assured her daughter, quickening her pace just a little.

"Open the gaaatte!" Nala begged, waiting at Simba's front gate impatiently. Safafina took out the gate key the other family had given to her, and unlocked the black barred gate, letting it swing open. Almost as soon as the gate was open enough for her to squeeze through, Nala bolted in. She ran across the grass as fast as her little legs could carry her, towards Simba's big house. But instead of running up to the door, the little blonde girl turned, and ran over to a big bush that was planted fairly close to the doors of the house.

And now, Nala was crouched behind said bush, ready to pounce. And her victim was Simba. "Mom, could you tell Simba to come out here please?" the girl asked her mother innocently, poking her head over the top of the bush. "Of course." Sarafina agreed, offering the girl a smile as she walked up the rest of the way to the house, before disappearing inside. Now, all Nala had to do was be patient. She was sure that Simba would come running out any second now...

School had just gotten out, and Peter was on his way out of the doors. A few of his friends were with him, which was to be expected since he was popular. One of the most popular guys in school, actually. He'd always been kind of, since the sixth grade...but being on the football team had helped when he started high school three years ago. And being the quarterback for two of those just made everything even better for him.

"Hey. Since there's no practice tonight and I'm free, I was thinking of taking you to dinner in an hour or so." Peter offered the girl who was on his right, while the other couple people in the little group talked amungst themselves. She blushed enough for it to be visible, and the boy couldn't help but smile in slight satisfaction. "Okay. Where are you taking me?" she asked somewhat quietly. "How about that little diner on the corner? You know which one I'm talking about, don't you?" Peter asked, offering a smile that could most likely be described as "Cute". He was pretty good at smile like that by now... Actually he was pretty good at all of the aspects of getting girls by now.

"Yeah I do actually. Soo I'll meet you there at-" "Seven." the boy instructed. "Alright. See you at seven." the girl replied before speeding up her pace, leaving Peter a ways behind her.

Lucky for Peter, he didn't live to far away from school...or the diner for that matter. So, he had plenty of time to get ready for his most recent date.

Woody sauntered out of his front door, and started down the sidewalk in the direction of his friends house. Bow's house to be specific. He knew the way there very well, since he spent quite a bit of his time there. Especially during summertime, which was due to be over in a week or so. Kind of sad, yes, but that also meant he was due to be a senior. Which was something to look forward too really...even though it wasn't clear what was in store for him after this coming year.

He'd much rather just stay here than do anything else honestly. Find a job for himself, get his own house...and most importantly stay where he could see his friends whenever he wanted. They were pretty much his life. And if they left him, or if he had to leave them...then he wouldn't know what he'd do. So to save himself from that trouble, he'd try his best not to let either of those things happen.
-

Woody arrived at Bows house after not too long with a smile clad on his face. How could he not wear one when she was probably his favorite person around? As soon as e made it up onto the girl's porch, he gave a few loud knocks and then took a step or so back from the door to leave space between him and it. The boy's smile was held as he waited to be greeted by the girl.

A boat ride was certainly not one of Eric's plans for that night, but he wasn't one to complain. When his mother had suggested it, the eighteen year old went along with it. No point disagreeing with a party. So that's where he currently was, on a fairly large boat, slumped in a rather comfortable seat. "You could help out, Eric." His father said, a stern look on his face. "I could, couldn't I?" His eyes sparkled mischievously at his father and his father chuckled. "Well you are right there." His father cracked a smile and Eric grinned, satisfied, before his eyes glanced around the boat. There were a few girls dancing, a few of them scantily clad. However, Eric preferred the few girls that were in summer dresses, not mini shorts. Natural beauty is what he would call it.

"Want a drink, dad?" Eric asked, standing up from his chair. "Yeah, get me a beer?" Eric nodded and walked off, towards the esky. Making his way around a few girls and his mother, he grabbed an ice cold beer out and a can of coke for himself. He quickly headed back over to his dad, handing him the beer before he cracked open his own can and headed for one of his friends. "Enjoying yourself, Anderson?" He asked, leaning against the side of the boat, where two girls were hiding. Taking a sip of his coke, he nodded at his friends response.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
"I'm bored." Simba whined from his bedroom, and his father groaned from where he was in the hall. "Your always bored, buddy. Just be patient. Something fun will happen." His father said as Simba appeared in the doorway of his bedroom, unhappily. But then someone appeared at the front door, stepping inside. 'Nala requests Simba." Those three words made Simba grinned and he turned around and ran back into his room. Plopping himself down onto his floor, he pulled his runners onto his feet and carefully did them up before getting up and heading out of the room again. 'Careful bud." His dad warned. Simba didn't reply, he was too busy hurrying down the stairs.

He ran outside and frowned. Nala wasn't there. "Well this sucks. She said Nala wanted me." He glanced inside, before glancing around again, impatiently.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Complaning. Ellahated it. She also hated it when they used her full name. "Isabella Stacey Tremaine why do we have to walk?" Stacey whined. "Because she said so. And she's busy getting some fake tan or something." Ella sighed, referring to her step mother. "You know, it's just going to take longer if you keep dragging your feet like that. Plus, you'll ruin your shoes." Ella's eyes slowly trailed down to Stacey and her other older step sister's shoes. "We can just get new ones. Unlike you." Stacey giggled and Ella pursed her lips, and started walking faster. Enough with them. She'd just get home faster then them. But, then, they spotted Peter and Ella could barely contain her groan. Stacey walked over, fluffing her red hair up and Ella just continued on, rolling her eyes, before she made sure her reading glasses were tucked safely into her bag. "Ella, won't you stay?" Stacey crooned. "I've got to get to work." Ella managed a polite smile before she continued to walk, in the direction of the diner, ignoring the giggles from her step sisters. It was annoying enough to be around them at home. Add school in and it was a nightmare.

Bowwas draped across the couch, her legs hanging off the edge. She was wearing a floral tanktop with a pair of her dark denim short shorts, and a home made anklet around her ankle. Home alone. To some people it would be fun and some people would blast music out and have fun. Not Bow. She preferred to have her family home. She was gazing lazily at the muted tv when the knocks on the door startled her. Jumping up, she headed for the door, a small smile pulling at her lips already. When she opened the front door, she couldn't help but giggle.

"If it isn't darling Woody, come to be in my presence again." A cheeky smile tugged at her plump lips as she stepped forward, wrapping her arms around him for a quick squeeze of a hug before pulling away. "So, what's up?" Bow asked, her eyebrows kinking at him.

Ariel was leaning right up against the boat, still very curious about everything and everyone aboard it. Flounder on the other hand had sat down a minute or so ago, arms wrapped around her legs that were brought up to her chest. "Ariel, can we please go now? You said we'd only be here for a few minutes, and-" the blonde started to complain. She was stopped by Ariel who was now crouched down and covering her friend's mouth with her hand. "Shh Flounder. Do you want to get us caught? We'll go home in a few minutes more, just be patent." the redhead whispered before standing back up.

This time her eyes caught on a boy who didn't seem to be much older than her at all. And suddenly, he became her center of attention... Ariel's blue eyes followed him from the chair where he had been previously sitting, over to where he came up with what the redhead could only say was drinks. A smile made it's way onto the girl's lips when she saw him coming closer to where she and Flounder were hidden. She was slightly surprised by him leaning against the rail of the boat then, and leaned back just a little bit to look up at him. Well, the back of him anyways.

Flounder leaned back too. But maybe a little too much, since she fell back into the water with a splash, and a second of a squeak she was able to get out before disappearing. Ariel glanced back at where the salty bubbles were starting to form from the blonde falling in. She rolled her eyes after not seeing her friend return for a few long seconds. If she was right, the girl had taken that chance to leave. The redhead stayed though, and looked back up to where the boy was still. If Ariel was just a little bit smarter, she would high tail it out of there with her friend to avoid being seen. But she didn't...not yet she wouldn't anyway.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Nala had grown slightly impatient in the minute or so she'd been waiting for Simba. But that didn't mean she was just going to give up on her plan, oh no. She was too determined for her plan to take action.

Finally, she heard the door open and close loudly and then the familiar sounds of Simba's footsteps falling on the ground. She crouched down even lower and moved closer to the edge of the bush, smile stretching across her face. Nala couldn't help but hold back a tiny giggle that escaped after hearing Simba speak and almost immediately jumped out from behind the bush, yelling a slightly high pitched, "Raaaaarrr!" as she pounced on the boy, knocking him down. And then, with her goal achieved, Nala laughed happily. "Did I surprise you?" she asked with an excited smile as she stood up, having calmed down her laughter.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Peter was so close to being home when he was approached by a pair of girls. He was just a little surprised, since he was pretty much used to this sort of happening. But it was usually during school time, or right after football practice. That didn't mean was was about to complain though. His green eyes fixated on the girl who he heard called Ella for a few seconds. She hadn't stopped though, and apparently she wasn't going to. That didn't really bother Peter though...well, maybe just a little bit.

"Have fun then!" he called to the blonde girl before almost immediately turning his attention back to the other two girls. "I'm sorry girls, but I'm afraid I can't take either of you out tonight." Peter informed, knowing that had to have been the reason they came over. "I'm free tomorrow though." the boy added, offering a wink and one of his smiles. And with that, he started off, glancing back at the two just before turning to walk up the concrete path that led to his house and disappear inside. Now he had all the time in the world to get ready for tonight's date.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Of course." Woody replied matter of factly, as he returned the blonde girl's short hug. "Oh, I just came to see you is all. Was just wondering if you wanted to do something." he explained, offering a shrug. He glanced inside the house quickly before returning his gaze to Bow. "Maybe you could let me inside so we can think of something to do?" the boy asked, smiling some once again.

The boat trip wasn't entertaining. Especially since his mother kept on trying to set him up with girls she thought that were suitable for her 'baby boy'. Everytime he head those words, he gently steered her away from him and towards his father, knowing his father would distract her for at least ten minutes. He was stifling a yawn, getting tired, just as he heard a second of a squeak. It was very quick and high pitched, and Eric frowned. But apparently no one else had heard it. "What's wrong, Eric?" One of his pals asked as he glanced around. "Oh, nothing." He laughed a little, taking another swing of his drink. His friends just shrugged it off as he threw his empty can into a bin.

Eric walked over to the edge of the boat, leaning on the side, sighing as he stared out at the expanse of water in front of him. He didn't even notice Ariel or her friend desperately swimming away. He rested his face on his palm, yawning tiredly.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Simba let out a small yell, scared when something pushed him to the ground. And he laughed when he saw it was Nala. "Oh Nala!" He laughed, scrambling up to a standing position, brushing off his shorts. "Yeaaah, you suprised me!" He nodded. "But you laugh really loudly." Simba teased, poking her side. "I thought you left me by myself though."

Ella was getting really frustrated with Stella's need to flirt with everybody and Amy's need to follow Stella around like a puppy dog. She had to go home and get ready for work. But no, her older sisters had other plans. When she heard something which didn't sound like it was to her siblings, she turned around just to see Peter turning away from her. Ella opened her mouth to reply but she shut it. She had better things to do, like earn money to pay for things. Yes, that was oh so much better then hanging around with her sisters and a boy. When the boy disappeared from her sisters sight, they came up to her and started pestering her. "Ella, did you hear that, he is free tomorrow night! He is so going to go out with me." Stella babbled, excitedly. "You can help me with my hair and makeup." Stella added. "Amy would just mess it up." She smirked. Ella sighed. "Maybe." She turned up a path, heading up to their house, which was a few houses away from Peter's. Pulling her key out of her pocket, she unlocked the door and stepped inside, leaving it wide open so her siblings could get inside. Ella darted up to her room, quickly changing into her work outfit, which consisted of a light grey dress, that ended a few inches above her knee black flats on her feet. Tugging her blonde locks into a messy ponytail, she grabbed her bag and hurried out the door, yelling to her sisters that she was leaving.

Ella arrived at work just in time. She clocked in, tied her blue and white apron around her waist, flashed a smile at the manager for her shift and got to work.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Wonder no more, of course we can do something." Bow smiled. "Inside? It's a little bit messy, but nobody's home and I don't like cleaning so...yeah." She tugged him inside, closing the door behind him. Bow walked over to the couch and sat down on it, sitting cross legged. "So when you were wondering, did you come up with any ideas?"

Ariel let out an inaudible sigh when she wasn't spotted. One that was both of relief and disappointment at the same time. Because half of her really wanted to be caught, but the other half of her knew that that would probably not be a good thing. That was the half of her that made her scan around the area to catch a glimpse of a still retreating Flouder and decide to follow suit. With one last glance at the boat, Ariel dove down into the water before swimming behind her friend, however so far away she was.

It was strange that there was actually a bouey as close to Atlantica as there was. That's were the girl had decided to rest for now, partially because Ariel refused to go to all the way home yet. The two sat there exchanging surprisingly light conversation, while still keeping an eye on the boat that was still in view. They were accompanied by a Sea Lion who'd apparently decided to nap up there...but she didn't seem to min the two at all. Flounder layed back in the piece of metal, to look up at the sky after she was pretty much over the whole boat and people thing. "Hm. Were there clouds out before Ariel?" she asked randomly, causing the other girl to look up too. Upon seeing said clouds, she shook her head. "No...I don't think so." she replied, before deciding to try her luck at petting the animal that was practically right beside her.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Nala couldn't help but giggle a little, proud of herself for surprising him like she'd wanted. "I do not!" she protested stubbornly after his laughing comment. She was actually quite aware of what her laughter sounded like...she just wasn't willing to let him know this. Nala gently pushed down his arm, keeping hold of it to make sure he wouldn't be able to poke her again. "I wouldn't leave you Simba!" she assured happily. "Especially when I came over to play with you."

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Peter took his sweet time in getting ready. He watched a little bit of TV before he decided to take a shower and get dressed into a new outfit, and then watched even more TV with the little bit of time he still had to spare. By the time six fifty rolled around, he was more than ready for this date to happen...and then finally be over with.

He waited outside fifteen minutes before his date for the night finally showed up, and ushered her inside. He was even nice enough to pull out her chair for her when they were taken to their table. There wasn't much conversation between the two while they awaited someone to come and serve them. It was more her talking and Peter listening. But he wasn't much of a talker, really. Well actually, that was kind of a lie. He was a talker sometimes. It was just that he hardly had anyone that really listened to him. So this, what was going on at the moment, had pretty much become normal for him.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The boy couldn't keep back his own smile at the girls confirmation before letting her bring him inside. "It doesn't bother me, really. It's nothing worse than what I've seen before." Woody assured. Having a couple kid brothers, he was used to messes. Way worse messes than what Bow thought her house was in. He sat down in a rocking chair beside the couch, facing the girl then. "I didn't actually." he admitted, reaching back to rub the back of his neck almost embarrassed. "But I'm sure we'll be able to decide on something in no time." he added optimistically, giving a confident smile.

The boat decided to head home, but there were darkening clouds in it's way. No one really noticed, until Eric decided to point it out. "Dad, those clouds look dangerous!" He said. When his dad actually noticed, he agreed. But he was a little too late. The winds started to pick and up the water started to get a bit rocky under the boat. His dad ran to inform the crew and Eric sat on his chair, worriedly, as the rain started to pour down. That's when he ran for cover, the boat started to rock from side to side, causing him to feel nausea's, as he curled under a tarp.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"What do you want to play then?" Simba asked. "My dad got me new lego blocks that look like animals!" He chirped. "There's lions, tigers, bears, pelicans, and penguins." He said, getting a little out of breath. "And heaps more!" Simba nodded. "There's two of everything, and then there are these little plastic people. And they have a house." He explained. "Or we could play ball. Dad re pumped my soccer ball but we can't find my tennis ball."
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Work wasn't that bad, actually. Ella got a few nice costumers to serve, one granny that was always a regular. And on her break she got to sit down and talk with the granny who loved showing pictures of her kids which made Ella smile. But then it was back to work. "Ella, get your backside into the kitchen, we've got dishes overload!" The manager called, throwing a tea towel at her at she hurried past. But now she was back to serving and taking orders, waiting patiently in the kitchen before another waitress came and said table twenty needed to be served. "Alright, I'm going." She nodded, handed the waitress the plate for table seventeen. She approached table twenty and was a few steps away from the table before she realised who it was. Oh boy. She stepped up to the table. "Good Evening." Ella smiled brightly. "Welcome to Oakley Diner. I'll be your server for tonight. Here are your menus." She handed each of them the green menus. "I'll be around in a few minutes to see if you are ready to order, but in the mean time would you like to order some drinks?" She reached into her apron pocket, pulling out her notepad and pencil, looking at the two expectantly. She was hoping that Peter wouldn't recognize her.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"It may not be as bad, but it's all girly mess. All my mother's magazines and work stuff, and then my sister's stuff, and then there's mine. I don't even know where mine went!" She exclaimed. "You didn't?" Bow's eyes widened. "How dare you?" She asked before she burst into laughter. "I'm sorry, sorry. I couldn't help myself." She offered him an innocent smile. "Well, we could.." Bow trailed off. "Go to the park? Make cookies? Have a water fight?"

Flounder and Ariel were both freaking out a little when the waves got more rough, and the wind was blowing, and the rain was coming down ice-cold on them. The Sea Lion had left as soon as the first few drops of rain hit her, and was smart enough to retreat to a safer place. But the were worried about pretty much two different things. Flounder, ever the more practical one, begged her friend to go back to the island with her. Ariel however was more concerned about the people on the boat. "Flounder just go, I'll be fine, I promise you! I just have to make sure those people are okay!" she had to yell over a couple close rumbles of thunder. Both girls jumped when the sky flashed white with lightening.

"Go now Flounder!" Ariel demanded, giving her best effort to stand on the rocking piece of metal. The blonde, feeling scared and just a tiny but hurt, obliged then making her best friend promise she wouldn't be hurt or killed. Ariel did of course, and having successfully stood up, kept a close, watchful eye on the boat that was still very visible, just hoping that it was going to get back to where it came from safely. Because all she could do at the moment was hope. It wasn't like she could just stop the storm in it's tracks...

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"I wanna play with animals!" Nala decided immediately. Because honestly, how many little girls wouldn't? Especially with so many options? "Do you think your dad will let us bring them outside? Cause if we play outside then it can be more real." the girl asked hopefully, bouncing just a little bit with the excitement of what they were planning. She was pretty sure that they'd get to take them out though. Because Simba's dad was really nice.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Peter almost immediately looked up when he heard another voice at the table. It didn't quite register that he actually kind of knew the girl that just given them menus and was asking what they wanted to drink. At least not until he really looked up at her for the first time while he requested a Dr. Pepper and let his date ask for whatever she wanted. "Heyyy..." he trailed off with a smile when he recognized the blonde. "Ella, right?" he added, "So this is where you work...huh."

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"You'd better be sorry," Woody replied with a mock-angered tone, "I was about to up and leave." he finished. He was kidding of course. There was no way he was going to go home without being at least a little bit entertained first. "Maybe we could go to the park and have a water fight there? Because I think baking might get too hot. It is still summer after all." the boy suggested.
