Target located
The thought bounced through Claire's head as she caught a glimpse of what appeared to be her target. The source data that had described the girl had been remarkably detailed. They had included hair color, eye color, exact height and approximate weight, as well as what accessories usually accompanied the subject. Claire glared at the color photograph and bio as if to make the paper confirm that this was indeed the person she was supposed to bring in for study. The bounty hunter in her wasn't overly fond of kidnapping people and sentencing then to a life as a lab rat, but when the pay was good enough, Claire supposed she'd do just about any job.
Claire followed the target through the streets of the abandoned city, keeping a good distance from the red haired girl in order to avoid being heard or seen. Eventually, the supposed target entered what appeared to be a Dojo, and Claire moved over to a window to keep tabs on the girl. It seemed like the girl had removed a belt of vials of some type of red substance, as well as her jacket and shoes by the time Claire had found a suitable vantage point to observe this girl from.
Red hair, Check
Purple eyes, Check
Smaller build, fairly light looking, Check
What really confirmed that this was the person Claire was after was a roundhouse kick made by the girl named Alyssa. There, on the bottom of her left foot was a ruby red birthmark, exactly where the file said it would be. Tucking the file into one of the inner pockets of the oversized army jacket, Claire moved away from the window and back to the front door of the Dojo. It was the only opening to the building, minus the few windows, so Claire decided to confront her target here, where she'd be cornered with no place to run.
Realizing the element of suprise was on her side, Claire reached into her bandoleer and pulled out a discharge knife. The knife was specifically designed to hold electrical charges, and could discharge varying powers of electrical current through the air depending on how long the knife was charged for. Claire clipped this knife into her left hip holster, allowing a low electrical hum to come from the holster as it charged the knife.
Claire walked into the doorway and looked directly at Alyssa, her camouflage military attire looking like she had just gotten off duty. Raising her voice to sound authoritative, Claire pointed directly at Alyssa with her right index finger, staring the girl down like she was a lost tourist.
"Hey, these ruins are government property. You aren't supposed to be here."
In truth, Claire had never been to this planet before, let alone these ruins. She wasn't even sure this place had a government. Perhaps Alyssa didn't know either. If she didn't, this hunt would be easy as pie.
