Gathering Blue Interest Check

It'll be based off of the book Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry but it'll be twisted around a lot.

Plot:
In a simple village best described as a future-past society, a small group of officials, known as the Council of Guardians, rules over the population. The Guardians live in the only modern structure in the village, the Edifice, where they administer the laws of their people, while maintaining their history by taking in children that show special signs of useful gifts or features. These children/teenagers will be forced to live in the Edifice and perform their abilities whenever asked but other than that the children are free to roam the village. Although the village is very low in technology it is like any other society. The rich on one side and the poor on the other. The weak are left to die and the strong can fight for what is theirs.

I've gotten through about half way through the book, Gathering Blue. Up to where Kira has moved in and Matt had escaped taking a bath. If you have an idea for a unique plot for the setting, and outline of the story, then send me a PM. I can always pitch in to come up with a different kind of plot.
