So during the time I write this post, the game ARMS releases tomorrow. I for one am hyped because of its unorthodox nature as a fighting game. So I do want to discuss and converse about the game in general, hear hype, debate on who the best character is, and make fun of each other on our opinions... Okay, maybe the latter is a little uncalled and maybe against RPG code of conduct, but maybe something of the similar nature. So let's hear what you guys have to say.
I prefer to start off with a few simple paragraphs:
The aesthetic, I just love the aesthetics and art that went into the game. A cast of colorful characters and vibrant and memorable backgrounds and arenas. The style is very pleasing and helps the fighters stand out and for players and viewers to see the action that much better.
I admit, I did have a few questions about the inclusion of items into the game, but so far, it seems like they can not only be turned off, but are not overly broken. They still greatly turn the tide of battle to one's favor, but they're not an instant win. The stages also seem to be competitively friendly too, albeit I do see some being banned from competitive formats for a slight chance factor. But unlike Smash, there are no stage hazards that inflict damage! I can still see some form of counterpicking stages, but they only seem to play up weaknesses and strengths so far.
On another thing, I really do hope the roster is balanced.
