((Please ignore first post, going to try this again with new people))
Hunting is a long going tradition in the world and is still strong today. Though nowadays Hunting has taken a much more sport like approach rather than out of necessity like in the older days, though a wandering wyvern can still sometimes cause panic to a city. Blacksmithing and Hunting have advanced much like any other technology in the world, many new weapons, styles of old weapons, and armor have branched out recently. In this world good hunters have become like celebrities with the Forbidden Hunters at the top of the ladder.
Sul was a Wandering Hunter, he had recently landed himself in the trade based city of Lacio where the guild hall was famous for big monsters. He was hoping to hunt enough to show himself as impressive enough to try for a Forbidden Hunter Licence. Forbidden hunters were special in that they were allowed to wander wherever they pleased even to hunting grounds in search of a Wyvern chosen by The Guild. That kind of life seemed rather exciting to Sul, rather then settling down in a single town and hunting whatever was asked by the people. Though Sul's experience is still considered 'Low Rank' in the eyes of the guild that didn't stop his determination.
The Hunter's icy blue eyes looked at the Hunting Board here in Lacio, his hands folded infront of his chest as he 'hmm'ed. Sul’s armor was less bulky then one might assume, he was more of an agile hunter knowing dodging was the better option for him then getting hit and trying to guard. Sul had traveled far so his armor was made from the highest quality pieces of monsters he had hunted previously. Barioth plates provided protection for his chest and stomach, smaller plates from likely the monster's tail were stacked on his shoulders and forearms, a long sleeved shirt underneath. He wore no head armor but the shirt had a thin black hood on it for hot areas to shade him and a white hood with Blangonga pelt providing warmth around the edge and a piece of Diablos plating was attached to his left shoulder piece as a last second guard. His pants were made of a loose and rich material tucked into boots with a metal plate on each with two spikes for a less then friendly kick, the sides of the pants were adorned with plates from a Zinogre. A belt held up the pants with a few small square leather bags attached to them for items needed on quests as well as a more pouch shaped one for money, a black sash under it kept the belt from being too big on Sul. The Switch Axe attached to his back was around his height and was definitely a more modern weapon. The axe was a combination of parts much like his armor, sturdy monster bones provided an excellent base to keep a machalite steel blade in place.
There were only a couple of sheets posted by people around, but nothing seemed to pop out. Even bothering to lift some of the papers to check the ones under them, he sighed when still nothing was there. Turning on his heels he walked over to the bar on the other side of the hunting hall with multiple other hunters hanging around telling stories or meeting with their partners for a hunt. Sul knew that was what was keeping him back, the board did have large hunts that would impress the Guild but such things would be stupid for a single hunter to take on.
Sitting down heavily at one of the barstools he folded his arms in front of him keeping his ears open. "What'll you have, nya?" A small felyne walked over wearing a purple vest and a knotted headband to keep sweat from his eyes.
Sul put a few z* on the table with a small metallic noise, "Moga Cola..." Sul honestly wasn't used to the city here and felt a little out of place. After being handed the drink in a chilled glass bottle the hunter turned around looking for anything interesting.
* - For anyone who doesn't play "monster hunter" z is the rather ambiguous currency (i.e. 3900z)
