Jet woke up on the soft grass beside Twinleaf town, his Eevee laying across his chest. "Eh.. Where am I?" He asked himself as he sat up, cradling the silverish creature close to his chest. He looked at the opening in the trees towards the town and stood up, walking into it. "Hmm... Twinleaf town..?" he whispered to himself as he read the sign in the middle of the town, looking around at the four houses that stood around him. He blinked and walked up to one of the houses, reading the nameplate to see that it was Aja Apolo's house and knocked on the door, hoping to find a place that his Eevee could rest without laying near tall grass.

"Hello, is anyone home?" he asked as he knocked a bit loudly, tilting his head to the side. He didn't even know how he got t this place, yet his body was willing him to knock on a stranger's door for assistance. He sighed and sat down on the ground in front of the door, falling asleep with his head against it.

Aja was laying in her bed staring at the ceiling. It was still early in the morning and the room was dark. The twins were asleep together at the foot of her bed and chikorita was laying on her chest. She breathed slowly, the rythimatic rise and fall of her chest lulling the creature to sleep. There was little sleep for Aja though. Her mind was unsettled, playing out the happenings of her past again. She had been awake for two hours now, paralyzed by her unwillingness to wake Chikorita and by her own memories playing out in her mind over and over again.

There was a knock on the door. She ignored it, if it was the mailman he would go away soon. Then there was another knock and she became scared. What if it wasn't the mailman. There was a third knock and she decided that maybe she should get the door. She lifted Chikorita up carefully and placed her next to the twins. It was no use though, when she moved to get out of bed all three of them woke up and were looking at her. "Oh fine, You all can come too." She quickly adjusted the shirt to her plain white pj's, They were to small for her but she didn't have the money for new ones, Several nasty scars were showing on her arms but she wasn't worried about them. She had long ago accepted her appearance. She patted downstairs with her three pokemon padding along behind her. She slowly opened the front door and peeked out to see a tired and disheveled boy sleeping against her house. He had a few pokemon with him too. She leaned over a bit, though not that far, Aja was short and even sitting she could tell this boy was older and taller then her. Her pokemon were standing beside her almost protectively, god she loved them. She gave the boy a gentle tap hoping he would wake up. She was afraid of him but she couldn't just leave him here either.

Brandon woke up in a bed at the pokemon center he had gotten into Twinleaf town two days ago and was now staying a pokemon center. He slowly crawled out of bed and went and got cleaned up when he was done and dress he grabbed his backpack and walked to the lobby. He waited at the front desk till nurse joy appeared with a cheery smile on her face."Hey nurse joy how are my pokemon" the nurse smiled getting three pokeballs from chansey and putting them on the desk. "Your pokemon are all rested and ready to go" Brandon smiled grabbing his pokeballs and putting them in his back pack "Well thanks for everything nurse joy gotta go" Brandon put his bag on his back and walked out of the pokemon center. Brandon was walking around when he saw a boy who appeared to be sleeping he walked over and just as he was about to tap the boy a door opened and he stepped back now a little lost at what was going on.

Vora had awoken early in the pokemon center in Sandgem Town. His Cyndaquil had decided that he needed a face full of smoke screen to wake up, the smokescreen had set off an alarm in the pokemon center and Vora was forced to walk out onto route 201, dripping wet with his Cyndaquil. He wished that Cyndaquil was as managable as his Scyther, as he had no problems with Scyther as of yet. In his mind he was still questioning why his Father had sent him to the Sinnoh region, if the pokemon he was searching for all lived in Johto. He had studied the route upon arriving and came to the conclusion that the pokemon nearest to him were something he didn't entirely need for his own personal quest. He looked at the Signpost which lead to either back to Sandgem, or Twin leaf. But as he looked off to the path that lead to Twin Leaf, he saw the split in the road that lead to a rather forested area. Pulling out his map, he tried to figure out what part of Sinnoh that was, but seeing as each corner of the map had been burned slightly by an ember. "I Wonder if there's any bug type in there.." Vora put the map back into his bag and poked at the four spots on Cyndaquil's back. "Burn me and I'll make sure you never get another bite of pokemon food." Cyndaquil gave a boring yawn and fell over. "Oh now you're tired? After that embarassment in the pokemon center.."

Jet yawned and stretched, holding Eevee in his arms still as he got up. He looked up at the girl in the doorway and at the boy across the lane and blinked. "My Eevee needs a place to rest.." he said softly, holding up the sleeping pokemon. The Eevee twitched in it's sleep, causing a small smile to form on Jet's face. Jet looked up at Aja with a worried look, "Please at least let him stay here."

He stood up and stretched again, holding the Eevee over his head but being careful not to drop it. "Oh, um.. My name's Jet... Sorry for randomly knocking at your door, but it seemed that you were the only person that would understand."

Aja didn't respond at first, she was conflicted, looking Jet over and then the Eevee. Her heart went out to the small pokemon and she looked at it. There was no way she was going to be able to deny it. "Come in." Her voice was soft and almost not even audible. It was always soft but more so when she was scared or worried. She opened the door to him and walked back inside. "There is a spare bedroom down the hall. She watched him take his pokemon into the room and she headed for the kitchen. She had to stand on the tips of her toes to get to the higher cabinets but she pulled down a small dish and some milk. She opened up another cabinet and pulled out several different berries and crushed them together before putting the juices in the milk. Then she added some honey to it and stirred it all together.

Aja made her way to the spare bedroom slowly, careful not to spill any of the drink and knocked before walking in. She placed the bowl on the side table, "When Eevee wakes up, feed him this. It is filling and well help heal and rejuvenate him. I put some honey in it because the twins like it sweet." The twins mewed playfully at her feet and she crouched down and petted them trying to get them to calm down some. She looked at the Eevee on the bed. The sun was rising and it was reflecting off the pokemon's silver fur. She had never seen an Eevee with silver fur, heard about them but she thought it was only a legend. She noticed he had two other poke balls on him as well. "Do you or your other pokemon want anything?" she said a bit shyly "I'm going to make some breakfast since were all up."

With the two people in the house he decided his pokemon could use some time out of their pokeballs so he left Twinleaf town and went into the forest when he reached a clearing he took off his backpack and looked through it until he found his three pokeballs he threw the pokeballs into the air and his three pokemon appeared in front of him as the pokeballs fell back into his hands. He put the balls back into his bag then looked at his pokemon he patted Bayleef head. "Okay you guys go have some fun stay close and try and stay out of trouble" the three pokemon nodded and then went off. Brandon walked over to a tree and sat down under it.

The sun shined high above the earth. A long girl with long black hair, that was in a neat ponytail sighed as she looked up at the hot sun. She was just leaving Sandgem town talking to the professor. She had a mission to complete in Sinnoh, she had got it from Professor Elm, in Johto. Fixing her clothes she started to head for Twinleaf town. Grasping one of her poke'balls she through it into the air. And out came a Milotic. Its scales shining lovely in the light of the sun. She hopped onto its back as it floated through the forest. The black haired girl relaxed as she lay her head on her pokemons neck. "We are heading to Twinleaf town Milotic." She said softly. The lovely creature nodded making a lovely sound then kept floating. Suddenly out came another of her pokemon. Sitting on her lap now was a tiny teddy bear looking pokemon. It looked up at the girl smiling. "Teddiursa..." She sighed. It then jumped up and hugged against her chest. She sighed softly then patted her head. "Ok ok you can stay out." She giggled. Soon they were almost to Twinleaf and she hopped off her Milotic. "This looks like a good area to take a rest huh?" She asked her two pokemon. Then let out her Dragonair. Once it was out of its pokeball its lovely pink scales shined in the bright sun. "Okay everyone lets find us a nice tree to rest and eat at." She said as they walked around the forest.

Jet smiled and called out his pikachu and dratini, watching them look around at their new surroundings. "Um.. Do you have something that Tini here can swim in?" He looked up at Aja with a hint of worry in his eyes, but that faded when pikachu ran up and jumped onto her shoulder. "Pika pi!" it said and smiled, licking her cheek. "Heh.. She likes you." he said, looking from Aja to his friend.

He moved slightly to pet Eevee, wondering why it hant woken up until it opened it's eyes and yawned. "Hey there buddy." he smiled and put the milk, berry, and honey mixture in front of eevee, smiling as his best friend and partner drank it. "Thank you." he said, smiling up at Aja.

Smiling, Aja looked over Jet's pokemon. They looked happy and looked like they loved Jet very much. "I'm sorry, Tini" She said looking at the dratini. "I'm afraid I don't have anything for you to swim in." She was sad, not being able to provide for it. She laughed a bit as pikachu liked her cheek. Chikarita looked down from her head at the pikachu. She gave the mouse pokemon a little playful push as if to say, "heeey that's my job." Aja was also glad to notice that Eevee had awoken and was enjoying her drink. She gave the twins a little pet. She was laughing, she was enjoying herself with these pokemon, something she only did with pokemon, A side she hid from others. But she had forgotten Jet was there. It was funny, how other people disappeared from her sight when pokemon were around. "Oh yes, breakfast, you all must be hungry."

She left the room and went back to the kitchen. She pulled down 6 bowls and went around the kitchen filling the bowls with a nice mix of color. All of her food was fresh made that she went out to pick or grow herself. She had normal pokefood but unless traveling she kept it away. Her's was better for pokemon anyways. Suddenly remembering about jet she pulled down 2 bowls for herself and him. Aja filled these with cereal and placed an apple on the side. The twins were climbing up each other trying to get up on the counter. She picked Rous and Mia up and placed them back on the ground "Now, behave you too, you'll have plenty in a second." Chikorita laughed at them and Rous kinda glared. She couldn't help but giggle some at it. She carried in the pokemons food first and let them start eating before she went back for her's and Jet's breakfast. She was just entering the room when the morning sun broke through the window. The sudden sharp pain in her eye felt like a knife and she tripped. Hitting the floor the plates fell out of her hand and shattered on the ground. She could feel tears in her eyes from the pain in her eye and also a glass shard that had entered her hand. She leaned up against the wall and shut her eyes. Blind she reached into her pocket and pulled out her patch and tied it over her eye. She had tears running down her face, "I'm Sorry" She said quietly, beginning to pick up the pieces.

Soon the four found a nice peaceful area close to a small lake. As the four sat and relaxed Rika putted their pokemon food out and let them eat while she ate a sandwich. Her Teddiursa that was known as Teddi came up with its small cute paw in its mouth. "Ur...Sa..." she purred staring at her. Looking down at the Teddy bear pokemon she sighed. "You want some?" She asked pointing to her sandwich. The pokemon smiled and nodded. "Okay fine..." She sighed smiling as she broke off a small piece. "Here.." She said then gave the pokemon the piece. Happily it ran off to the lake and ate its sandwich. Soon the other two came over wanting some too. A heavy sigh came from her lips.

Giving them each a small piece she smiled and finished her sandwich. She loved her pokemon. She was always different around it was like she was her true self around them. As she finished she walked to the lake taking a sip. "Mmmm..." She smiled looking at her pokemon take a sip as well. "Okay you guys can relax for a while then we will be heading for Twinleaf." She called to the three. She herself relaxed under a tree, as Teddi lay on her lap, Milotic wrapped around her laying her head on her knees. While Dragonair took a dip in the lake. Her scales shining in the sun making then sparkle. Smiling she got a idea for her next contest. Closing her eyes she smiled. She hadn't relaxed in a while it was nice.

"Oh no.." he said running over to her and picking up the hand that had the glass shard in it, gently pulling it out of her. "Are you okay?" he asked, looking into her eyes with a sincere worry that he had only felt before with his pokemon. He grabbed a bandage from his bag and wrapped it around her hand gently, trying not to hurt her. After tying the bandage in a bow, he sighed and helped clean up the mess, picking up the pieces instead.

"It's ok.. What happened?" he asked her, looking at her hand.

Aja froze up when he touched her. She didn't want him to touch her. She was afraid. Chikorita was nuzzling on her chest trying to comfort her and the twins had stopped eating and looked at her worryingly. She got herself back under control fast, quickly replacing the more open look with her normal emotionless face. Jet cleaned the wound and put a good bandage on it. He was being careful not to hurt her but wounds such as this do not hurt her anymore. Her hand had a few smaller scars on it and the palm of her hand had more. She could tell that he was very worried for her but she would not open up for a person. She didn't even open for her aunt. She picked up the pieces with him and threw them away. When they were done he turned to her and placed a new bandage on her hand as the original had bled through. Jet was looking at her,"It's ok.. What happened?".

Aja didn't respond at first, she never did. It was a conflict, whether or not to tell him the truth. Finally Aja sighed and tacking her hand she gently touched her eye patch. "My eye is damaged pretty badly." she said slowly "All it takes is a sudden bright light and then" She snapped her fingers to make an instant "A knife blade enters my head" Normally she woke up early enough so that her eye can slowly adjust to the suns light but if she looked straight at it like she did then the piercing will still happen. "I'll go make another bowl. You can come if you want. The pokemon will have fun playing."

He nodded and sighed softly. "I'll help you if you need." he smiled and then looked at the eye patch. "How did you hurt your eye.. If you don't mind me asking that is." he said, tilting his head to the side with the worried expression back on his face. He reached up into the cabinet and brought down two bowels and set them on the counter for her. He felt Pika climb onto his shoulder and hand him a berry it found in his bag and the smile returned to his face. "Thanks Pika" he said and watched as the yellow mouse pokemon ran back into the room to play with the others.

"Here. It's an oran berry, it should help with the pain a bit." he smiled, handing her the round, blue berry. "I don't like seeing people and pokemon in pain." he said, looking down.

Aja enjoyed his silent company for awhile. She re made the breakfast for them and pulled out two spoons for themselves. She had heard the questions but simply was relishing the silence. "Keep the berry. The pain has subsided to a dull roar. It will leave in a minute." She began to eat her breakfast again not answering his question. She didn't care if he was worried for her, she would not say it, not to a person. She finished her breakfast and washed the bowl out before sitting back down at the table. It was a wonderful day, a great day to go and paint.

Finally she gathered the courage though to answer part of his question. Her face hardened and the pain of the memory was obvious. "A knife did it, It was an accident." Well it wasn't an accident but she was not going to say anything about it. She sat there quiet for awhile. Letting her words sink into the room. She thought back to eh silver Eevee and Jet. She needed to get her mind off of her past. "Will you do a favor for me?" she asked "Will you and Eeeve allow me to draw you? She knew a perfect spot and really wanted to be able to paint a portrait of the pair.

After thirty minutes of being in the forest all of Brandon pokemon had returned to him. He put them all back in their pokeballs then put the balls back in his bag. He had decided that he would go back to the pokemon center and feed his pokemon and himself then after that it would be off to start his adventure. He figured he would try his hand at earning gym badges so his first stop would be in Oreburgh City. He stretched first before starting his walk back into Twinleaf town.

He looked at her, knowing her answer was not the full truth, but nodded anyway. He called his eevee out from the other room and smiled as it jumped onto his shoulder. "Hey Evon, wanna be drawn?" he asked the silver pokemon and it nodded, jumping onto Aja's shoulder and licking her cheek. "I guess that's a yes." he smiled and looked back at Aja. "Where would you like us to be?" he asked, picking the eevee up off of her and holding it in his arms like a young child.

Aja was extremely pleased she would be able to draw Evon and Jet. It wasn't every day you ran into a silver eevee and she wanted to make sure she captured it. She exited the kitchen into the study which she had turned into a little art room for her. She grabbed her portable stand, a piece of canvas, and her paints and came back in the room totting it all. It was a bit awkward but she got all of the stuff prepared. "Follow me please." Upon hearing the door open chikorita and the twins hurried to catch up with her.

It was a bit of a walk but she knew exactly where she wanted to go. There was a small trail exiting the town that cut through a field. The trail went on for about a mile but she was the only one who ever really used it so it was quite empty. The fields used to be an old farm but it had gone out of business and turned into a prairie. She walked up a small hill to the top and set up her paints. Aja looked around her, the prairie and the wild flowers. The angle of the sun and adjusted her easel as such. "Okay, please sit on the ground as if your leaning back some. Place your right hand behind you on the ground and look like you just staring out across the hill. Evon, if you would sit on Jet's chest and look in the same direction." She let them take their position and began to rough their outlines and that of the hill. She would add clouds, flowers, light, and all the such later but for now she had to position them in the painting. The wind blew and rustled the grasses and Evon's fur. She was stunned at the little ripple of wind and knew immediately she would put it in the painting. The twins and chikorita were brawling with each other a short way off and she could hear their laughter. It was a sweet melody to her ears.

Jet smiled and did exactly what she had asked. He liked the feeling of having Evon curled up on his chest safe and secure. The sudden wind gently tilted his hat a bit and he blinked, having forgotten that it was even there. "Vee?" Evon said, his small head looking up at Jet as he started to chuckle calmly but that calm wasn't long until the ground started to rumble a bit.

"What was that..?" he asked, standing up as his Pikachu ran from the house carrying Tini who was back in her pokeball. "You guys ready for whatever's about to happen?" he asked Aja, standing up in front of her to shield her if anything were to happen. Suddenly, a giant drill cam out the ground in front of them.

"Hand us those Eevees and no one get's hurt." said one of the people from inside of the machine. "Make us!" Jet replied, holding Evon close to him and keeping an eye on the twins.

"Huh.. It says I'm on Route 201, near the Verity Lakefront." Cyndaquil looked at Vora and the map before speeding off towards the sign just outside the entrance of the forest. He jogged in order to reach up to Cyndaquil. Despite Cyndaquil's short legs, it was still rather fast. He read the sign outloud, "Lake Verity ahead, according to legend, the lake is home to the pokemon said to be "The being of Emotion" It is because of this Pokemon that people can experience sorrow and joy." Cyndaquil looked over at Vora. "Do you think we'll find the bug pokemon we're looking for in there?" Cyndaquil shook his head and turned away from the sign. "Alright, I'll take your decision on this." Cyndaquil moved back towards Vora. Vora looked around and said. "Well seeing as theres no bug pokemon around, I think we should go back towards Sand Gem town." Cyndaquil nodded. For once, Cyndaquil seemed like it was starting to mature a bit.
