You all wake up in a sterile white room. Your surrounded in a cage of glass panels that isolate you from the walls of the room proper. You've lived in here with your fellow test subjects for a month now. Each day you hope that the test will begin so you can finally leave and go back to your families. Your becoming claustrophobic in your confined space. The orange jump suits you each wear make you feel more like a convict than an employee. Another meal is lowered from the ceiling. The food is apparently nutritious but it tastes bland.

"Hello. and welcome to the Apeture Science Enrichment testing Environment. We hope your stay in the Relaxation bed,has been a pleasant one."

The Bed opens,allowing you to stand.

"Todays Enrishment Testing shall be different,You will work with a group of other Enrichmentees,to overcome challenging tasks, and then there will be cake....c.c..c.c.c.caaakkkeee.."

After the speech is a zapping noise,the light s flicker for a second,before returning to normal.

"The portal will open in three...Two..One"

A portal opens on a wall to a room to take the person to the other enrichmentees.

A woman, a little shorter than you'd expect to be at her age, slowly arose up from her uncomfortable bed. The look in her sky blue eyes was a dull one, which perfectly matched the expression on her face. Bored, unhappy, wanting to be somewhere else. Ever so stiffly the woman, who's commonly known as Susan, stood up on her two feet. Well, on the pair of shock absorbers placed on her feet. The robotic voice emitted from GLaDOS meant nothing to her. Just another common sound that rang through her ears daily. No, hourly.

That was until a portal opened up. A ring of what looked like fire danced around it and welcomed her to crawl through to see a place outside of her cramped room. Susan's chocolaty brown hair swayed slightly as she wandered over to the curious door way, wondering whether or not she should enter. After all, it could be some kind of trap...

Kyle sits up in his relaxation bed and has his feet over the side of the bed. After a few moments he raises to his feet and zips his jumpsuit back up to about halfway up his chest.

He approaches the portal on the wall, slowly. He knows he's being watched at all times, not that he minds, in fact he finds it strangely erotic when he knows someone is watching and following him around town. However, here it just freaked him out. This place gave him the creeps ever since he first entered the facility. He has never seen another living person in the building before today. It was all automated AIs and robotic arms. He was beginning to think he was the only person under going these tests. Now he gets to meet some of the others.

Kyle steps through the portal and has to catch himself. He will probably never get used to the feeling of going through those portals. They always made him feel disoriented. Upon exiting out of the otherside, Kyle had to shield his eyes until they adjusted to the brightness of the next room.

"please enter the Portal SUBJECT"Susan Creegan."

The Curiosity Core took over for a slight moment,Another flicker in the lights.

"Oh Hey!Your the lady taking the Test!Hi!"

The Morality core soon took control back of itself.

"Sleep mode initiating in Three...Two..zzzzzZZZZzzz.."

GLaDOS`s voice cuts out at one.all the portals still working.

Slowly letting out a whispery sigh, Susan cautiously stepped through the portal. This wasn't going to be over quickly. First her right foot, it slipped in-between the walls of fire look alkies and gently touched the ground. The process was repeated with her left foot. Finally her gaze swept across the newly entered room. There was a look on her face that was slightly tinted with curiosity now that her regular schedule of doing nothing had been altered. And for the first time in a long time, a question entered her head. What happens next?
