I really like these. They're all pretty cute, and kinda chibi-ish (Not really my favorite type of drawing) But they are well drawn.
PS: I LOVE the first one!

Hey hun, if you want to try and practice the japanese or cartoon or simply illustrated style, practice your lines and make them clean. If you notice in animes, mangas, examine wallpapers of your favorite shows or Japanese comics, you notice the lines are clean and exact on form. They are also complimented by the right amount of shading to make up for the lack of detail. Keep practicing and remember, real life or quality photo reference will go a long way in you study values, forms of the human and other anatomy, as well as shading in different intensities of life. Keep it up! Do full pieces! Not just one character or two. Challenge yourself with backgrounds. There are many different types as resource stock images on Deviantart.

Jeido, you haven't logged on in a while, but thanks to some creeping, I have noticed that your dA is still active. So let's go!

Fantastic advice, Opossum. Strong, confident linework is certainly a key to the fundamentals--contour drawings are excellent practices in exploring the surface of your subjects. If you ever decide to do some gesture work, try to not to lift your hand off the page. Seek other influences aside from manga and anime to increase your artistic resources, but more importantly, as Opossum mentioned, draw from life. Find reference when you can, and never limit yourself to one style. You'd be amazed at what experimentation can do for you.

Elo-Elo! Satomato dropping back in. Just wanted to say thanks for posting your artwork!

I'm not in any capacity technically gifted when it comes to describing and suggesting things when it comes to art, but I did want to just say I liked it! Much like a small child, I enjoy anything with color, so go bolder with it, for sure.

Seeing something Hamtaro related has sent me into a sort of frenzy. I now have to go listen to the theme song. Way to go. Look what you've done.
