Bump, Bump, Bump.
"They're here."
Nathan grabbed a shotgun from the kitchen table, loaded it and subbed with a kitchen knife in his pocket.
He also got a biro and scribbled on a notepad,
'If you come to this house, LEAVE NOW. You are not safe here. They come at night, and only then and feed on whatever's in the house. Including people.'
He could hear them outside, scrambling up pipes, smashing windows, attacking cars...it would only be 5 minutes until they got in.
There were 20 people who lived in the mansion, 8 of which had jobs here. Cooking, cleaning, washing. But now they were treated as equals, and fought bravely. 8
Then there was him and his two sisters and brother. 12
His mum and dad. 14
Auntie Pauline and Uncle Dave. 16
Grandma. 17
Victor, the owner of the house. 18
Lauren, his daughter. 19.
And the spirit. It lived in the attic, sometimes helping and sometimes not helping. Except it didnt like the creatures, and would help fight. 20.
They had all gone to where they thought theyd be most helpful.
Nathan was in a kichen and across the hall the girl Lauren was in a dining room. She was leaning out, talking to Nathan and they were a pretty good team. A crash from downstairs. Theyre in now.
Lauren gave a reassuring smile.
A crash from their floor, in the bedroom at the end of the hall.
Nathan leapt out from the kitchen and aimed down the hallway.
"Now, you die. Bastards!" He screamed.
Their was 25 people in the house. 5 died last night.
They were Grandad, slaughtered by three creatures in the downstairs bathroom.
Sarah, Victor's wife, giving up her life for Lauren's.
Neil, a young man who was a close friend of Victor's, taken from the back by 2 creatures.
Wendy, a policewoman stopping at the house, pushed down the stairs by a creature.
And little Jimmy, who Nathan had accidentally shot.
They had to fight to survive, and sometimes thats not enough.
"Never read my posts. If I tell you not to you probably will anyway. If you do though, you will have read it, which means you will have ignored my comment at the start of this sentence. Which means you will have read it and just done the same thing that I told you not to do that you did. Which you will again, until you ignore the thing you are reading now which you will repeat, and you wont be doing the wrong thing because you already ignored the right thing, which is totally wrong."
