Dune: Galactic Insurrection

The planet Arrakis, known better as Dune. Land of sand, and home to the Spice, Melange. The spice extends life, the spice expands conciousness, the spice is vital to space travel. The spice controls the empire. Whoever controls Arrakis controls the spice, whoever controls the spice, controls the empire. The Prophet, Paul Muad'ib, Duke of House Atreides, formerly known as Paul Atreides, whose Jihad to conquer the galaxy, has not yet occured. It is three hindred years prior, and tensions flame. Vast armies have arrived on Arrakis. Now, six house fight for control of Dune;
The Noble and Just House Atreides,
The Evil and Corrupt House Harkonnen,
The Technological and Machine House Vernius,
The Mercantilistic and Misleading House Richese,
The Imperial and Powerful House Corrino,
and the Insidious and Stealthy House Ordos.
All five are equally poised, all five are equally capable, and all five are equally committed.
Only one house will prevail: the battle for Dune begins...

You take control of your house, as the leader you must appoint Commanders to your Armed Forces, manage your economy, establish alliances, discuss trade, deal with rival houses, and the Bene Gesserit. Perhaps even find a bit of romance along the way, but be warned, there is a war brewing, one that threatens to erupt into galactic conflict.

STARTING OFF:
This RP is going to be a growing RP, put simply, your character will start out at a young age, an adolescent. And grow over a series of time lapses, only ranging from 1/2 a year, to a full year. There can be siblings in a single house, though, only one, will become Heir Apperent. Your character will learn of the Duniverse and how to run a Noble House in this time, or whatever else it is you do. Once your character is grown, the RP will enter into the Diplomatic and Violent stage of war and politics. Don't sit with your back to any doors, m'lord.

LIST OF IMPORTANT PLANETS:
Arrakis: Arrakis is a desert planet home to the Fremen. Home to the Spice. Arrakis is the third planet orbiting the star Canopus, and it in turn is orbited by two moons, one of which has the image of the desert kangaroo-rat, Muad'Dib, on it; the other possesses the image of a human fist.
Caladan: Caladan, later Dan, is the "third planet of Delta Pavonis" and the ancestral fiefdom of House Atreides. The Atreides have lived on Caladan for twenty-six generations in the ancient Castle Caladan. The farming of pundi rice, supplemented by fishing and wine making, is the primary economic activity of Caladan.
Chusuk: The "fourth planet of Theta Shalish; the so-called 'Music Planet' noted for the quality of its musical instruments."
Corrin: Dune it is noted that the Atreides-Harkonnen feud had begun millennia before when "an Atreides had a Harkonnen banished for cowardice after the Battle of Corrin." Mankind's final victory over the thinking machines took place on Corrin in the year 88 B.G.; to commemorate this triumph, Viceroy Faykan Butler took the name of Corrino, founding the House Corrino that would rule humanity for over 10,000 years.
Ecaz: "Fourth planet of Alpha Centauri B; the sculptors' paradise, so called because it is the home of fogwood, the plant growth capable of being shaped in situ solely by the power of human thought." Ecaz is also home to a variety of plant growths from which numerous drugs are extracted, including the Elacca drug, Sapho juice, Semuta and Verite, and is the source of hufuf vine strands used to weave krimskell fiber and rope.
Giedi Prime: Giedi Prime, is a planet of Ophiuchi B (36) and the homeworld of the vicious House Harkonnen, sworn enemies of House Atreides. A bleak and dark planet, it is heavily industrialized and its people are very oppressed.
Ginaz: The home of the famous Ginaz Swordmaster School and the House Ginaz. Ginaz is a tropical, oceanic planet with multiple, small archipelagos that constitute its only surface land on which all the major population centers are situated.
Ix: The ninth planet from the star "Alkaurops" (Rodale), named for the Roman numeral IX due to its position in its solar system. It is renowned for the production of complex machinery which often flouts the proscriptions of the Butlerian Jihad. Ruled by the House Vernius, Ix's primary competitor is Richese, but it has always maintained a healthy lead in technology.
Junction: Original headquarters of the Spacing Guild. The planet is a vast array of landing fields and repair docks with almost no native population.
Kaitain: The capital planet of the Imperium and the seat of power of House Corrino. It was chosen as the new capital after Salusa Secundus, the former capital, was made nearly uninhabitable as a result of nuclear warfare.
Richese: The fourth planet of Eridani A, is classified with Ix as supreme in machine culture. Under the rule of the count of House Richese, the planet is noted for technological advances, especially in miniaturization. An artificial moon created for scientific and industrial research, Korona, orbits Richese.
Salusa Secundus: The third planet of the Gamma Waiping system and the homeworld of the Imperial House Corrino. After it was left a barren wasteland due to atomic war after the Butlerian Jihad, it became the Emperor's prison planet and the training ground for his elite Sardaukar troops, the imperial capital now residing in Kaitain.
Sigma Draconis IV: The icy world of Draconis IV is House Ordos' home. Like the Atreides world of Caladan, Draconis IV has been left mostly in its natural state, but it is as inhospitable as Giedi Prime, the Harkonnen homeworld. Home to the Technocratic House Ordos.
Tleilax: The sole planet of the star Thalim, is the homeworld of the Bene Tleilax. Its capital is Bandalong. Most of the planet is off-limits to outsiders, as the majority of the planet is considered holy by the religious Tleilaxu.
Wallach IX: The ninth planet of Laoujin. It is the site of the Mother School of the Bene Gesserit.

Physical Appearance: Standing at 6'3", he has piercing emerald eyes, with blonde brown hair at medium length, wears a crisp Ordos Military Dress Uniform at nearly all times.
Perosnality: Very, very serious. Though, once you have earned his trust, warms up greatly, yet retains stark Ordos efficency.
Sexuality: Straight
Biography: Grown in a Fleshvat, Duad was brought up as an heir to the incredibly old, and ageing Executrix, to become the new leader of the House, and restore it to glory. However, he was never informed of the possiblity of siblings...
