Eros Inn action/adventure and romance

Eros Inn, simply named after cupid, son of the goddess of love Aphrodite. This Inn is very technologically advance, to provide its customers with the highest comforts available, built on a paradise island next to a waterfall with ancient trees all around. But such a secluded place does have its dangers if you pass the borders of the Inn. The truth is, after the inn was built, they founder found that such a paradise was actually actually a quarantine zone for the growing number of mutant humans that had been subject to lab testing for the larger pharmaceutical companies. The inn properties were safely fenced off and screened so people visiting the inn would have nothing to worry about, and the employees were instructed not to breathe a word about it.

Nayo stepped off the giant cruse ship among a crowd of excited passengers, all jittery with excitement at being the first to stay in the new inn on such a beautiful island. Nayo walked uphill along the cobblestone path, falling back a short distance from the rest of the group so he could get a better look at the inn. It was beautifully built modeled after an 18th century Irish castle, but given a closer look you could see clearly that technology bloomed from every corner of it. Nayo gazed at the turrets longing to get a room in one of them. Just imagine the view from up there! Nayo thought to himself spotting multicolored bird flying overhead and grinning.

Nayo’s grin widened as he reached the castle courtyard. A giant fountain in the form of Aphrodite the god of love sat majestically in the center spraying a beautiful array of colored water high into the air. He slowly made his way to the reception office. He reached out to open the door, and stepped back in shock as it disappeared into the floor at the blink of an eye. He stepped over the threshold cautiously and made his way to the reception desk. A row of women stood behind computers checking guests in to their rooms. Nayo got in line, and slowly made his way to the front. When he reached the desk the receptionist gave him a warm smile. “Please place your hand on the scanner.” She said kindly and Nayo obeyed. Light played around his fingers and disappeared. She proceeded to issue him a watch. "This controls many acessories around the inn like your stereo and hot tub. We issue them to everyone to avoid the use of remote controls. Thank you, your room is number 414 on the third floor. Enjoy your stay.” She said with a smile. Nayo began to walk away but turned back. “Wait is there any chance you could put me in one of the towers? I’ve kind of grown an interest in them.” “Not a problem.” The receptionist replied. “We happen to have an open room at the very top of the north tower. Its yours.” Nayo smiled at her and began walking toward the north tower, a new excitement forming in him.

Rules:
This is an rp forum, basic rules apply, no god modding etc. And please don’t wander off the inn property yet. I will base a storyline on that later to begin the action adventure part of this rp.

Otherwise, she would have been completely content, working at her father's office, where she worked as his secertary. Tod Styles, her father, was a rich businessman and her mother a resturaunt owner. Rose was their only child and they thought she needed a good vacation, maybe a chance to meet someone....so they sent her to the grand opening.

Description: A rather weary American with brown hair and a scruffy chin.
Bio: Zachary became the head of his father's company, Salven Industries, when his father died. He found the work incredibly tiring, and when he found an ad advertising the Eros, he jumped on the chance to leave work behind a while and take a nice vacation.

Nayo stepped into an elevator. He placed his hand on a touch screen which scanned it, and zipped to his room in seconds. He stepped out into his room and the elevator disappeared into the floor. Nayo looked around the room and noticed a thin metalic book laying on the bed. Which was quite comfortable looking. Nayo walked over and picked up the book. Manual was stamped on the front in big letters. He opened up the book and was greeted with a blank screen and a speaker. "Hello." erupted a voice from the book. "I hold descriptions of all utilites in this establishment. Please select an item from the touchscreen you would like to learn about." Nayo scrolled down and tapped on elevator. The voice answered immediately." The elevators at the Etros inn are state of the art. Designed so that only the occupant of the room, and those that they permit can enter the room. The touch screens in the elevator scan your hand which is registered in the computer database. It will take you directly to your room, or if you would like to visit someone else's room just speak their name and the elevator will take you there if you are permitted to enter. You will find that many scanners are used here to make things easier, as your print was scanned upon checking in."

Nayo gave a satisfied grunt and set the book back down, taking a seat in an easy chair and gazing out the window.

Description: Nayo has an athletic build accented by venom green eyes, and dirty blond short hair which he usually spikes. He normally contents himself with blue jeans and a white T, but can clean up quite nicely.
bio: Nayo comes from a rich family, and actually bought his ticket to the Eros in instead of winning it like many of the others had to earn their stay at the grand opening of the Eros Inn. His father was a military general, and his mother a California real estate agent. Nayo moved out when he turned 18 and held a job engineering new technologies. The new technologies at this inn however were far more advanced than the ones his company was producing, and they asked him to stay and see if you could learn any of the secrets behind it.

Isabella "Izzy" Day dragged her suitcases on the trolley off the cruise ship. Three suitcases in all. She got a few looks, heard a few jokes about the typical female traveler packing her whole closet. In truth, only the large suitcase held her clothes. The small suitcase had her shoes, make-up and hair supplies. The medium suitcase was the heaviest and held all her books. Izzy was an avid researcher in all things Greek; history, mythology and culture. This trip was her celebration after the divorce, and going to an inn named after Eros, the young god of lust and love, seemed to be appropriate.

She had to stop before getting to the front door of the hotel and massage her sore arm. Everything looked so wonderful here. The huge statue of Aphrodite appealed to her and the feel of paradise soothed her. She could feel the anger she had felt at her ex-husband fade away.

Walking up to the registration, she handed over her confirmation for her room.

"Mrs Day, place your hand on the scanner," the receptionist told her.

"It's Miss Day," Izzy said, watching the light from the scanner play over her hand and fingers.

The receptionist handed her a watch, explaining how it would operate several amenities in the hotel; like her tv and hot tub. She handed Izzy her key with a big smile.

"Room 315, on the second floor, east wing. Enjoy your stay."

Izzy smiled and pushed her trolley over to the elevators. On the way, she picked up some brochers on what the hotel had to offer. Exercise classes, a spa, a movie theater and pools - Izzy was in heaven.

After stepping off the cruise ship, Rose flipped her hair over her shoulder and pulled it back into a loose ponytail, feeling the wind pull at it. Her tri-blue eyes scanned the area and she let a small sigh pass her thin red lips as she took in the beauty of the inn. How exquisite... she thought to herself as she lifted the two suitcases. The wind smelled of flowers and the ocean breeze as it wrapped itself around her like a gentle caress from the hand of a lover.

"Ms. Styles, please, place your hand upon the scanner," the desk clerk said softly. Her eyes dropping to the scanner in front of her.

"Oh..." Rose said softly, the heavy English accent played softly. Upon placing her hand on the scanner, Rose watched the lights and studied it quickly, taking in the pattern swiftly. How interesting... she thought. This place is phenomenal.

The desk clerk rattled on about how a watch would control the various items in the inn as she wrapped it around her wrist and then caught Rose's attention when she said, "Your room number is 413, ma'am."

Rose smiled softly at the clerk and picked up her suitcases, which she carried a few dresses and normal clothing, but most of all, all her paperwork from the office and a few menu ideas from her mother's resturaunt. Moving down the hallway, her eyes drank in the sights lying just outside the windows. Exquisitely beautiful, she thought and finally arrived at her room.

Slightly startled at the swiftness of getting to her room, Rose opened the curtains to the windows, turning to view the space around her, and smiled softly at the decor of the room. "Now, this... this is home," she laughed lightly and left her bags where they sat. Moving to the couch, she laid down on it and felt her body beginning to relax.

Nayo took a quick stroll around his room, examining his room. He had a hard time finding many accesories until resorting to his Manual which explained that everything was built into the wall and hidden behind panels to free up more space for the rooms occupant. Nayo tapped a button on his watch, and a section of wall slid away to reveal a high tech entertainment system and gigantic TV. Nayo grinned and shut the wall panel again. "I think I can get the hang of this watch thing." He said satisfied. Nayo turned and walked over to the corner of the room the elevator dropped him off in. He pressed another button on his watch and the floor dropped out from under him, taking him with it.

Nayo stepped out into the courtyard a moment later at a loss of breath. "Thought that would take a little longer." Nayo muttered. "G force elevators. That's new to me." Nayo walked off, headed to the gift shops. The shops were full of a mix of midevil and modern items. There were various machines that did various things all stamped with the Eros logo, stacked up next to racks of midevil armor and swords to compliment the inn's theme. Nayo glanced over them and selected a particularly nice looking flamberge encrusted with rubys. He lifted it off the rack, looking at the sharp blade carefully. "If you do not plan on buying it please do not touch." Came a voice from behind the counter. "Oh...sorry... I'll take it." Nayo stuttered and payed the man and proceeded to leave the store.

Rose moved from the room and went to the gardens. Their beauty captivated her as she moved down the rose-arched walkways. Roses, orchids, and various other beauties were being grown along the paths, accompainied by weeping willows, oakes, maples, and others. The serenity of the garden filled Rose as she moved silently down the path. The wind picked up slightly, making the loose white tanktop she wore cling to her torso. Her black jeans soaked up the sun as its rays showered the garden.

"My.... this place is heaven," she whispered softly and continued her slow walk through the rather large garden. She studied the various flowers and saw a stone bench. Rose decided to sit down and scan the surrounding area. She could hear the small trickle of a river nearby and smiled softly as she closed her eyes to enjoy the warmth of the sun and the calmness of the garden.

Nayo dropped the sword off in his room intent on studying it further later, and headed back out to explore more. He headed toward the gardens, stopping only for a moment to toss a coin into the fountain. Nayo entered the gardens and smiled at the serenity captured inside its stone walls. Classic birds of paradise flitted from tree to tree, their bright colors painting the garden, and only contested by the dark violets and reds in the flower bed that greeted Nayo. He continued along the path, watching the birds picking fruit from the trees and flying off over the walls with it. Probably to feed young. He stopped for a moment to smell a group of flowers that were new to him. and reveled in their tangy scent. He kept walking along the path, inspecting the master engineering and architectual work put into the making of the stone archways and walls. He glimpsed a masterly made stone bench off to his left, but what caught his attention more was the beauty gracing its presense.

Rose took a deep breath and slowly opened her eyes as she heard the twitter of a nearby bird. A smile graced her thin lips as she turned to the left toward the beautiful Cardinal that sat on a tree limb above her. "Hello, little Cardinal," she said softly to it and then watched it fly away. Her eyes scanned the area around her once more, stopping briefly on the man that stood down the pathway and she inclined her head to him, offering him a smile, before she stood and moved off the path.

Spotting the river, she moved down to it and studied its path, taking in the various trout and catfish that were visible from the surface. Blinking against the reflection of the sun off the water, Rose pulled down the sunglasses off the top of her head and shielded her eyes from the glare.

Nayo returned her smile and watched her slip off the path. Intrigued, he followed her, standing a short way off. watching her by the stream. Finally working up a little nerve, he took a few steps forward. "Beautiful isn't it?" He asked breaking the ice a little. "My names Nayo. Just what name could bring justice to your beauty miss?" Nayo asked with a nod of his head. He stepped up beside her by the stream and gazed at the trout while waiting for her reply.

Rose tensed slightly at the voice behind her and then turned to see it was the man from down the pathway. "Oh... the river is magnificent," she said softly, her English accent plays softly along the notes of her voice. "My name is Roselia." Her eyes studied his face before they darted back to the river in front of her. "The beauty is more around us than just the beauty of a woman standing beside a lonesome stream in the middle of the glorious wonders of the garden."

Ah but the combination creates a masterpiece. Nayo answered with a kind smile. Nayo took a seat alongside the river, the trout scattering as his shadow passed over them. This place really is a marvel of architecture isn't it?" He asked, watching the light reflecting off the river dance across rose's face. Nayo commited the image to memory before looking back at the water waiting for her reply.

Laughing softly and then flipping her hair over her shoulder, Rose turned to look at him and then let her gaze wander around them. "This is magnificent in itself. It seems to be filled with such differential beauty it seems to be a mystery how they can gather the rarities in life and place them in such refine captivity," she said as she let her gaze fall back on him. The wind picked up once more and she stepped into the shade of the nearby Weeping Willow, letting its long branches brush across her slender face. She took another deep breath and walked slowly to the tree to place a hand upon its rough bark.

"Actually, from what I've gathered about this place, everything here is naturally occuring on this island. Who knew such a perfect place existed," Nayo stood up and stepped up beside Rose. "So is there any chance that two people with a similar appreciation for beauty could meet up again here say around lunch time for lunch? Maybe bring along a picnic basket?"

Slowly turning to him, Rose felt the beginning of a blush creep along her cheeks and she smiled softly. "Are you wanting to have a picnic with me?" she laughed softly and leaned against the tree as she studied him some more. Appreciate the view, Rose... he may turn out just like the rest of the gentlemen on the ship... assholes... she thought to herself, but kept the sarcasm from her face. "I'd love to, Nayo," she said softly.

"Well than that is settled." Nayo said, and turn without a word and began walking off." I'll meet you here in an hour." he called over his shoulder. Nayo returned to his room and searched around for some common picnic materials. He found some wines and champagnes. Which he packed into a basket along with some glasses that he had room service bring up for him. He found some fruit on his kitchen counter and packed that also. He made up a few sandwiches and packed them, then hurried back out to the garden 15 minutes early, and took a seat leaning up against the willow.

Rose jogged down the path and went to her room. She changed into a skirt and let her hair down from the ponytail. She didn't know what else to do, but grab a small jacket. Moving to the elevator, she went back to the gardens and took the long way back to the Weeping Willow. Gulping slightly, Rose saw him waiting for her and walked up to join him. "Well, we are both early," she laughed lightly.

"Oh great." Nayo chuckled "There goes my chance to break down and run away before you got here." Nayo patted the picnic basket and said "Have a seat. I don't know what you like, but I've got turkey sandwiches, plenty of fruit, and your choice of wine or champagne." Nayo reached in and pulled out a bottle showing it to her. "Not that I'm trying to get you drunk or anything mind you." He said with a smile.

"Oh?" she laughed slightly as she pulled out the bottle of wine and studied it. "This is a good year." Rose turned to him and smiled as she took a seat on the otherside of the basket from him. The wind blew her hair into her face and she moved with practiced grace to tuck the strands of hair behind her thrice pierced ear.

Izzy took the elevator to her room and unpacked. The view was wonderful and she was itching to go out and explore. This place had everything she could need or want. Shopping, a salon, fine dining...she didn't know what to try first.

Changing out of her clothes into something cooler, she took the elevator back down to relax by the pool. She really didn't need to work on her tan, having a natural dark olive complection thanks to her Italian side of the family. She did just want to relax. For the time she was here, she was going to pamper herself. Lord knows she earned it.

Opening the book she brought down on Greek history, she sat herself in a louge chair. If only this life could last forever. However, she was only here because she won a ticket on the radio. She knew that it would seem like a short time before she was back home, dealing with the divorce again.
