((OOC: please make sure to read the Forgotten Planet OOC forgotten-planet-ooc-t6110.html to add your character at anytime and to learn more. Feel free to ask any sort of questions there as well as add suggestions. Thank you))

Back story: In the very distance future the government has approved of animal and human gene splicing testing lab. The lab was put into being for the governments hope of making super soldiers. However, the lab was discovered by reporters and the lab was forced to shut down and all the test subject were put in an advanced cryogenic status and over time forgotten for a thousand years. In such time humans have all but left Earth to live on the newly transformed Mars due to the ever growing Vampire population which was unstoppable. and Earth has returned to the wild (think of the movie:I am Legend). The populous on Earth consists of some humans (mostly the poor who could not afford to move).
But now those forgotten soldiers, left to sleep for a thousand years, has awakened... Will they be the new food for the Vampires? Will they be the saviors of the few remaining humans? Or will they take the Earth for themselves?

Opening: Deep with in jungle an old test lab lays unused for a thousand years... Inside there are several Cryogenic Status chambers and Nisci study subject 4426 has been released.

The chamber opens and Nisci's eyes become alive and she gasps for air as she steps out. Stubbing at first she trips over a tree root that had been growing there for a long time, and holds herself up against another chamber still holding another subject inside. Nothing looked as she remembered it everything was so green and covered with life among the chambers. She rubbed her eyes and looked into the chamber, at least something didn't change she thought. But then an overwhelming sadness welled up inside her as she realized she never really knew any of her fellow subjects. She remembered that they were not allow to speak to each other and that she mostly was told to spar. She wondered if it would be ok to open them... or if something bad would happen... she didn't even know how hers came open.

Jake drifted in an eternal dreams, wandering far and wide in the depths of his mind during his thousand years peaceful slumber. Dreams unknown to waking minds played out and started over, charging, just a few things or a brand new dream all together. He knew that his body had changed from the gene splicing but in his dreams he was always a pure human.

Sometimes, small flashes appeared in his dreams about the experiments. Tubes in his nose and throat, a strange green colored primal soup, pain as his body twisted and contorted into a new being. The feeling of fur spurting all over his body was one of the biggest memories that kept sneaking in. The transformation had left Jake weak at the time of the lab shut down and he had been place into a cryogenic status chamber with out a fight. Had he been awake, he would have struggled, to see his sister at least once more.

The dreams rapidly faded away, for some reason, cryogenic status was failing. Jake blinked a few times. He was inside a chambers, laying on his back. He could see the rounded, ployplastic, shield of the chamber above him. It was malfunctioning and had not opened.

Jakes shortened and furry fingers pressed against the cool plastic and pushed. It was stuck. "Gods" he thought, "I hope someone is out there." with a hope and a prayer, he started to bang on the shield, hoping someone would hear him and come to his aid.

Nisci whipped around to the sound of the sudden banging nose and let out a sharp scream from being startled. This sent the macaws and peacocks in the building to fly off suddenly towards the exits. Breathing heavy and covering her head from the now very startled birds of many colors. She swallowed hard and slowly walked to the sound which lead her to a tube at the a far end of the hall.

Looking inside she could see he was a male and that of the fox gene experiments. He was much further along in the experiment and had fur covering his whole body. His face looked nothing of a humans and she had encountered one as far along as this. They were sometimes savage and more animal than human most didn't even know how to speak.

Her cat ears went back and flattened while her tail went between her legs. Slowly she placed her hand on the glass of his tub and felt that it was warming up dramatically. She looked up at him quickly and stared deep into his eyes. If she didn't break him out would he die she wondered and If she did break him out would he be too savage and try to hurt her?

The scream really did not penetrate the ployplastic shield of the cryogenic status chamber, so Jake was unaware of the girl's fears when she appeared in his line of sight. She had two black cat ears that soon flattened against her head. When she placed her hand on the shield and studied him, he placed his right had on the plastic under hers.

"Help me" said Jake, though the shield muffled the sound down to barely with in human hearing. "Help me" he repeated, placing his other hand on the shield and pushing. It was starting to get hot inside the chamber. Had the cooling unit failed or was the chamber simply out of power? If it was out of power, then the air wasn't being recycled and he only had a limited amount of breathable air left. The chambers had a back up to bring in air from the outside but if the power was off, then the new air would never come.

Jake wasn't panicking yet. The thoughts of doom running around in his head weren't troubling him yet but if he was in there much longer and the air started to become less breathable, well he might panic then. There was still time for now. He continued to push and ask for help.

Nisci heard his voice and could tell he didnt have any anger moreover that he was speaking English. Her ears went straight up and she pulled her hand back then nodded to him. "Ok! I am going to get you out!" she yelled. She looked around the chamber and knowing the outer casing was breakable to her, she didn't want to risk hurting him. There had to be a release button she thought as finally noticed a small red blinking button at the bottom of his chamber. She could read the word around it (they never taught her to read). Next to that button was a green one that was not on and a blue one that was dim.

She looked back at him and yelled, "I will be right back!" Then ran as fast as she could to her own chamber to look at the buttons her hoping it would give her an answer as to what to do. She was a blur to normal eyes but her running made no sound unless you ears were snap and more advance than a humans. She reached her chamber and looked at the buttons, the blue and red ones were completely off and the green one was glowing brightly.

A bright red light had now come on over the fox's chamber and a siren was blaring loudly. She ran back to it again but she could feel the heat coming off the chamber without touching it. The piles leading to it from the back wall were glowing red and she knew she was running out of time. she reached down and pushed the green button...but nothing happened. She then pushed the blue button and the blue light went out. She then went back to the green button but the red one was glowing brightly and not blinking anymore. She took a chance and pushed it instead.

The siren and bright red light above the chamber stopped and she could feel with her hand that the chamber was cooling quickly back to normal. When the red button was no long bright but dim, she reached over and pushed the green button. the Green button light up and the chamber lid opened with a pressure release sound and steam spilling out around the edges. she quickly got out of the way as the lid feel completely open. Looking in she could see the fox was still alive and breathing.

A soft shuffling echoed down the hallway, where the entrance of the room ended, perpendicular to a hallway running in the opposite direction. A scraggely looking, dark-haired boy strode passed, peeking his head in as he did. He stared at Nisci for a moment, then glanced to the foxboy. His tail flicked once, and his ears perked up.

"Oo cooduh ju- pawped i- ope-..." he managed to say, attempting to voice over the large bone in his mouth. He gnawed on it once more then raised his hand making a punching gesture. He turned and continued to walk, adjusting his pants as he did.

He grabbed the bone from his mouth and took a few steps, then stopped. He leaned back into the entrance of the doorway. "Also, clothes are over there," he added, pointing to the lockers, and giggling a bit.

Dreams are composed of hopes and desires; a history and a future. Thus he had no dreams. He has no hope and no desires. His past was deprived and his future was stolen. He had no dreams despite having the darkness enveloping him for thousands of years. To his slumbering consciousness, it was an illusion, a brief moment of closing the eyes. From light to darkness and darkness back into the light. It had always been that way; it was their way, his way, of life.

His conscious was slowly flooding back into reality. Again. The scientists needed him for more testing and more training. Again. He would be taken from the chamber strapped onto carts and security measures to prevent him from going on a rampage again. Again. His eyes slowly opened and he could hear the sounds of leaking gas. Again....?

Zion's ears woke before his eyes could adjust to the light. He listened to his surroundings searching for the familiar sounds of machines humming, scientist's heart beating, conversations of bio engineering, physics and occasionally government officials on inspection. Yet, things were quiet. There was nothing. His eyes began to adjust and he could see that plants, trees and moss, roots and animals, had conquered the lab. His cryogenic chamber began to open but almost instantly jammed, caught in a thick root that had grown and obstructed his way out.

How many years has it been for the lab to be so overgrown with plants? How many years have they been abandoned? Then his ears picked up sounds of life, of words that belonged not to animals. His hands moved, but still weak from the millenniums of slumber.

"e...es....an...ere"

Even his voice was weak from the slumber. Weak. And he was supposed to be some super enhanced soldier. The all powerful experiment was now stuck because he could not lift a finger. He gulped some saliva and tried again. He knew by the voices, he could recognize the sounds and knew that it was the other experiments. They were freeing themselves just as he was. Their conversation suggested as much.

"es... anyone... there..."

Angel suddenly woke up in her cage, wich unlike most cages here looked a bit like a bird cage... She noticed that she was on the ground and that her wings were tied on her back, she wasn't able to get them loose. "Why are my wings stuck?" She said since she hadn't noticed she had been asleep for a long time. When nobody reacted she finally figured it out. She knew she wasn't able to get the cage open herself and started to panic a bit. She knew her cage was kinda far away from the other 'subjects' and her chances were small. She ran towards the door and started to bang on it and screamed, hoping the others were awake to, "Please, somebody get me outa here!!!"

Derikku paused, cringing at all of the sudden sound. He looked back to the room, finally retracing his steps to the door.

"Jesus, you guys, don't scare off all the food." he muttered, taking a few steps in the doorway. "I mean, come on, you don't all have to jump in and help at once."

He wandered over the papers and wires, recently covered in moss, dirt, and general botanical wonders of an unkempt forrest, making his way to the far corner. The most recently deactivated pod seemed to have had difficulties in releasing it's subject, as indicated by the flickering red warning light.

"Look, all I'm saying is, at the very least," he started, as he pressed his hand against the glass, then quite easily, through the glass, "You could keep quiet. That's all; a simple request," he added again, as he shifte his fingers about, wriggling them free of the frozen shards. He then grasped the door, and with a gentle tug, removed it from the sealants and hinges. He then leaned in to the new comer.

"Yes, as you can tell, we are here, a number of us, too loudly."

Nisci looked around as so many of us were waking now or had been awake. She looked down at her clothes and saw they were a bit revealing but nothing were changing over as Derikku suggested. Derikku was like her in that much of their human features still remained which as the animal parts where more like small attributes. she then turned her attention back to the fox boy who had passed back out. Seeing that Derikku was releasing the other asking for help she reached in and lifted the fox boy with no problems. She placed in on the ground among the plants growing there.

She looked up at the cage and tilted her head, why on earth would the scientist go through the trouble of making her cyo- chamber to resemble a cage she thought. She stood up and took a running leap to the cage. She landed on top of it without a problem, "I am going to try to get you out, but you should hang on to something." She looked at the large set of cables that were hold the cage up. "I think if I pull these cable the cage should fall and you should be able to break out. Either that or i can try to find a button somewhere like the others which should open this up."

She laid down flat on her stomic and into the cage at the bird type experiment. She was beautiful and almost heavenly to look at. "The choice is yours but i think the first way would be faster."

Derikku sighed, dropping the door to oneside with a heavy metal clank. He stepped down from the pod, wandering over to the cage. He smiled and crossed his arms, sitting on a nearby table.

"This, I gotta see..." he chuckled, looking up to the large cage. He put his finger in his mouth, pressing it against the inside of his cheek, and forced it out, making a popping sound. He made a punching motion as he did.

Jake waited as the girl left. He hadn't hear her every well but he got the gist of it. Soon she returned, after a siren started to sound and a red light came on. That had made him sweat a little or was it just the rising temperature in side the cryogenic status chamber? It look like the cat girl was hitting a few buttons. The ployplastic shield popped open with a hiss. The heat had made Jake pass out as what little air he had dwindled into nothing.

When Jake opened his eyes again, he was laying among roots and small plants. It was just too surreal. Jake lifted a hand to his muzzle, touching lightly the soft red fur. He could see the top and his nose but it needed to be touched to conform it in his mind. Screaming from down the hall perked his interest though.

Jake stood, a little shakily, and looked around. He was forced to grasp the side of the chamber to stay up right. The burst of adrenaline that had gotten his muscles to work had worn off and now his muscles had to remember how to work on their own.

Angel felt very happy when she saw oher experiments, one just standing ther watching and anotherone climbing on the cage to help her.
"Okey I'll stick with option one...I just want outa here!" Angel said to the catgirl that was trying to get her out. Usuall she would fly to her stick were she was usually sitting on, but this time she needed to climbe. So it took a few minutes, but then she was able to hold on to it. "I'm ready, just do it!"

Derikku sighed inwardly, lowering his head. Things were taking too long. There were things to do and people as well, as far as he was concerned. He brought his legs up and crossed them on the table flickering his tail about as he did.

"Look, we have to be out of here by..." he glanced out the window. "Sometime." he finished, realizing he had no idea what time it actually was. "Sometime soon though."

Zion waited within his cyrogenic chamber hoping for rescue. Yet no one paid attention to him. It might have been that his still form failed to catch their attention or it could have been just that his voice was too soft to be heard. Sadly, he could not claim that he was unfamiliar with isolation and separation from the world.

Slowly, he could feel his strength return. He gripped his fist, slowly at first, but progressively gathering power. He waited and he listened. His cat ears twitched and his fingers began to move. Then just as he was about to extend his claws Derikku cleared the obstruction and opened the chamber for Zion.

"Yes, as you can tell, we are here, a number of us, too loudly."

As Zion exited his chamber he could feel his legs still weak but had recovered enough that he was able to lean on support without falling. Looking at himself his body was naked. He could see his own muscles rippling on the strong frame but definitely not excessive like weight trainers. Clothes, he remembered Derikku's instructions on their location. Zion clothed himself and sat on the ground against a machine waiting for his body to recover.

Looking to the left he could see the others trying to get out. Their animal features indicated that they were the other experiments. To the right and above he could see the facility overgrown with plants.

"Hey..." Zion turned to Derikku. "Thanks. Name's Zion, Zion Tremor"

Then his enhanced cat ears perked as he picked up sounds of a tremor as though something large was coming their way. A beast? A machine?

"Something is coming."

Subject 3858 was her name in the lab. She woke still trapped in her tube, knowing only slightly where she was. Yawning, her ears twitched. Noise? No it couldn't be. She knew what had happened, but her ears were picking up voices and as she got more awake even parts of conversations. What was going on?
She hit the top of her tube to see if anyone would notice, then searched around for the things she asked to be kept with. Maybe no one else had that, but she threatened until she was frozen with her clothes and hat. Shoving it awkwardly on her head to cover the ears on top of her head she began banging repeatedly on the top, hoping it would either break or someone would notice. "Hello?! Are there people out there?! Let me out please!!"

Derikku nodded to Zion. Waving a hand. He turned back to the rest of the group. Sticking a finger in his widened doggish ear, he itched it widly.

"Exactly. See, even the rather senseless one here knows something's out there. I mean, it's not as if you all have been sleeping this whole time or anything... Oh wait, that's exactly what you've been doing!" Derikku began to rant wildly. You see, Derikku had been awake for the passed week, woken from his sleep in the lab next door. Though, that was the last thing he wanted the group to know. His cryogenic pod was labled "failed experiment".

He glanced down in mid sentence, quieting for a moment. "The point is, we need to move soon." he finished, taking a few steps towards the door.
