I've taken great interest in books by H.G. Wells. The Time Machine and War of the Worlds are among books of his I liked. Les Miserables was a great book I remember reading in the sixth grade for an R project. It took forever getting through, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have neglected to read most of the titles mentioned in this thread, as I amk not a fan of classic literatur. I mostly read adult fiction from authors like James Patterson and Harlan Coben. However, I do find some classic literature good, and I have found a few good book series that I like.

One of my favorites is Hunter S.Thompson's Fear and loathing in las Vegas. I think it's a classic, though not many people have heard of it. It's so completly different from other things I've read. It's so completly pure and honest and gritty, no-one from nowadays has even gotten close to this masterpiece. It's also quite funny. It's madness! Some times you can't tell what's real from what's inside the main character's head. it's also so gloriously disturbing in what it portrays, and how it portrays it. You've got to have a strong stomach if you're going to read it, there's a lot of perverseness and blood.

I also like 'to kill a mocking bird'.
