Only one more agonizing hour until it was officially summer vacation. Then, Justin would be free. Free; yes, he would be free. Free from the constricting prison cell called school. At least, it was for a good while. Really, as he thought about it more now, the whole concept of it was stupid. You'd start school at, let say four years old, bound to the whole program until you were almost thirty. By then, your life was almost over. You'd work for a few years, get married, and your youth would be gone before you knew it. Of course, there was always the concept of dropping out. High school dropouts; college dropouts - he didn't think he'd ever heard of a middle school dropout before, but it was possible. That was really how he viewed school; stupid, a waste of time, useless. You're thinking why he wouldn't just drop out, right? Since he was the one who suggested it. Well, the whole story associated with that would take a while to explain. But, we'll probably get to the whole explanation of that sometime though, so don't worry.
Justin leaned back on his desk, a sigh escaping his lips as the teacher continued to drone on about behaving during the summer. Partying, drinking, etc. The risks about what would happen and all that good stuff. Resisting the urge to say anything aloud, he kept his gaze elsewhere. They weren't stupid. Of course they knew to behave. He doubted any one of them wanted to end up in jail. Screw up their whole life and being treated like a peace of crap until they died. Though, the idea of doing something reckless appealed to him. He loved to stir up some trouble and drama once in a while. It kept life exciting. Must as well enjoy your youth while you can, right? He stretched out his legs under the desk in front of him. Though he wasn't too stupid to get himself arrested- his father taught him that. He suddenly moved his thoughts elsewhere, trying to avoid thoughts of his father. That cold-hearted jackassed bastard. Honey, get him started about his father, and he would go on forever.
He thought of the summer next. Hot girls in bikinis; the beach. He'd even thought about his grades. It was the first in years that he didn't have to spend his summer in summer school. Next year, he'd finally be a senior. Ah, that brought a smile to his face. It was a wonderful change of topic. Finally getting to rule over those little freshmen runts and boss them around. He remembered what it was like to be a freshman, being cold and lost in a big old high school. The seniors had been horrible to them too, to top it all off. Time to carry on the high school tradition, he thought, now smiling slightly. They were 'fresh meat' as his friends liked to call them. Justin couldn't wait until Freshman Friday; he already had an amazing prank in mind. It would be the best prank ever.
30 minutes. 20 minutes. 10 minutes. Five... Ring Ring Ring!
And school was out! It was time for the best summertime of Justin's life. Little did he know, that something would happen that summer that would make him wish he'd only got stuck with summer school. And it all started somewhere where he would least expect it...
