Good evening this is Lodnir, I'm looking forward to a pleasurable role playing experience here.
That being said, I have very little experience doing online role play. While I can imagine many parallels to regular role playing, I only have a vague idea what is different, so I would appreciate any amount of patience you could lend me during my first few sessions.
My intent of joining this board was to find a fairly active role play with a bit of professionalism (while my sessions with my friends were very fun, my game masters had only been GMing for a comparatively small amounts of time prior) though I suppose I should play many more sessions before even trying to measure a GM's story-telling ability, let alone ask them to let a novice like me join. That being said I don't really have the confidence in my attention span to see a story I think to be uncreative (or other) to the end. I suppose this makes me sound fairly conceited but I hope that doesn't dissuade you for considering me for a player or a peer, as my idea of a "good session" isn't especially tied to lime-lighting or discourtesy.
That being said my main interests in the role playing field are past fantasy settings (not necessarily Tolkien though I'm cool with that too), and modern day settings in fictitious universes (which could also be modern day setting with fictitious elements). I'm not looking for any explicit role plays. My role playing experience has mainly been in Shadowrun and Dungeons and Dragons (4th edition), as well as a bit of Dogs in the Vineyard and Fight!
I suppose this is well enough for a introductory post and I thank you for you time up until now.
