Hello.

You may call me Ravyn.

I have never roleplayed officially, but I am here and willing to give it a go.

I have a character but I don't completely understand how to make the profile of them. The profiles of other characters are all so long and descriptive, I fear mine will just be a background image shrouded and consumed by the well-thought out characters.

If anyone has a bit of time on their hands, could you send me a message explaining, at least a bit, of how to write a profile. What I need, and what is extra information nobody cares to read.

I have written fanfics before and original fiction, so writing is far from new for me. Rping is an entirely different matter.

well if you are like me and always coming up with new characters then you might want to wait and see what rp you join and what the character skeleton (character info) is.

as for just one character then you want to make one with generic information that works for everything for example:

name:
appearance: picture and/or description
age:
gender:
orientation:
bio:
personality:
race:
weapons:
abilities:

and then you just fill it out...if you want more examples click he link in my signature that says check out society's notebook

Welcome to the World of Roleplay Ravyn!!!

If you want, you can call me Pioneer or Cadet, whichever you prefer. I have spent a couple of months with this site, and I can honestly say, even though there can sometimes be things that are confusing, I recommend building on your writing first, and then worrying about your character's abilities. Do not start too powerful and let the character give the impressions, not how powerful his weapons are. Then as you become used to roleplay, you can let yourself make more powerful characters, as long as they have the personality to back it up.
