U.S Immigrants

Hello RPG-ers!

This is your resident slushie-addict Lilaiy speakin'!

I'm taking a public speaking class during the summer semester, and I'm looking for some help. For our next speech we are required to interview someone who is an immigrant to the United States (someone who either immigrated as an adult or after the age of 10.)

Basically, I will be taking your story and presenting it to my class as if I were you. If that makes sense. I think this is a very interesting and intriguing assignment. If you fit these parameters and feel like you'd want to help, I would love if you would PM me as soon as possible.

Here are some basic questions that I may ask (the last three are required for the course.) But most of all, I'm interested in your story!

*When and how did you immigrate to America?
*Did you have difficulty immigrating?
*Do you regret your decision to be here or are you glad?
*What barriers did you find in America to becoming a part of the culture here?
*Is (or was) becoming an American citizen important to you? Why or why not?
*Did all of your family immigrate or part of them or just you?
*What do you tell your family members (from country of origin) about the U.S.?
*Mandatory:
*What do you think of the current national debate regarding immigration and the "beefed up" US/Mexican border patrols (doesn't matter if you are from Mexico or not).
*What is the best part of having been an immigrant to the U.S.? The worst part?
*Would you do it again?
