Interest Check: Out of the Ordinary RP

This is an rp idea I have thought on for a while now, say what you think! It all is going to start in a modern world like ours, but with a twist of fantasy. It is February 2012.

The world changed but not in the way most people thought it would the year 2012. People changed in different ways by a green light that flashed through the entire earth at new year eve 2011, exactly when it became 2012. The flash also bringed some fragments of an unknown material that scientists started researching about, right away. But the material wasn´t the only thing that followed the green light, mysterious and dangerous beasts now lure in the darkness for their chance to take over earth.

The Shifters

Every people in the world have animal genes that almost allways is human. But some of us that lives have an mix up in our own gene system, and have got an different animal gene that exists in our body. Before the light, that gene were unactive and didn´t make a difference at all. But the light activated the genes within those people and made them "The Shifters". "The Shifters" can change at will to the animal that they have in their gene system. When a person transforms into their animal they either rip their clothes apart or they become so small that the clothes are to big for them. The shifters often tries to hide their ability to regular humans.


The Unhuman

We also have some other people in the world that have animal genes that sin´t human, but in another way. If they have animal genes that have melted together with the human gene, they became an "Unhuman" after the green light. It is those people who are vampires or werewolves. They are also the ones that have wings on their back or a tail. It can also be small differences, like they get claws or sharper sight. These persons are not welcome in the world if you ask the regular humans. But if the regular humans dont notice the change, like better sight, they don´t know anything about that person and they treat those persons like an equal.


The Mages

Some people also have pure energy genes that exists in their body but that were capsuled untill the green light hit the earth. Then they unleashed and made those people gifted with the capability to use magic. Some need energy sources like ancient stones, or help with spells in way of wordknowledge, to use magic. Those words and stones are found in new age shops or in ancient places. Some mages don´t need those equipment at all and can use magic anyway. Those people can either choose to explore the dark parts of magic and learn curses or other dark magic. Or they can explore element magic, healing magic or whatever they wish, just if they find the knowledge required first. Some come up in the open with these abilities, other tries to hide them for everyone.


The Ordinary/Humans

These are the last type of persons and also the sort of persons that are absolutely regular. They didn´t have any special genes in their body that could change during the green light. Most of the humans hate the ones who got these different changes. They all have different reasons, jealousy or fear are common reasons. But some of the humans don´t care or actually, like, the gifted, escpecially if one they care about have become one. Some of the humans are trying everything to eliminate the ones that have an gift, and they are called the eliminators. They use highly technilogical devices that were made only for that cause. The devices are made by the material that came with the flash and the devices are really powerful. Sometimes they also capture "special people" and turn them into an eliminator.


The Beasts

With the light followed powerful beasts that now lure all over the world. The beast often has a big strength like for example: "The ability to kill dead and living things with a touch", but they also have a big weakness like for example: "But its can also be killed by its own touch". The creatures can look in many ways, often with an animal charatheristic. The beasts gets more strength for every living thing it absorbs energy from, but so far not many have noticed the beasts, because of their very good hiding. They are often hard to kill because of their natural great armour and their strength.


Some use these different knowledges for their own personal goals, other, to help people. Will they soon be aware of the beasts presence? Will people join the beast or try to defeat them? How will things turn out? You decide!

Everything doesen´t have to be surounded around the beast it can be a little side plot that you eventually start to roleplay or that your characters just sometimes meet one of those beasts and that your characters then continue their ordinary life or something.

You need to re-read what you wrote, some of it was very odd to read and seems out of order in a way.
