In another world, far away from our own, there lies a Labyrinth. In the center of this Labyrinth is a Goblin City, and in the center of that, there is a Castle. In the Castle, the Goblin King rules, stealing children from all who ask for it (literally), and eventually turning these children into Goblins. Every so often, the families and/or friends of these children will regret asking for the child to be taken, and will ask for the child's return. The Goblin King does not often grant these wishes, but on a rare basis, he will allow one person to enter his Labyrinth; if they can get through it and the Goblin City, then get the baby from his Castle in time, he will allow the child's return. If they gave up, on the other hand, they will slowly but surely turn into something far different from what they were when they first entered the Labyrinth.
Recently, the Goblin King has fallen in love with one of the young women who entered his Labyrinth, in search of her younger brother. The woman made it to the Castle in time, but upon doing so, she did something no one had ever done before: She chose not to leave. Instead, she stayed with the Goblin King- fore she had fallen for the man along her quest. After a few years, the two had a child of their own. That child is now grown into a handsome young man, lively and tricky like his father, determined and daring like his mother. His parents, on the other hand, have gotten ill, and both of them are sure to be passing away soon. The Goblin Prince has not yet been trained by his father, so he does not know much of the ways of the Labyrinth.
A new era is beginning, and with it's rulers in distress, the Labyrinth has been thrown into chaos; and now, four random strangers have been sucked into the Labyrinth in their sleep. When they awake, they will find themselves in a world far different from their own.
In the Labyrinth, everything seems possible, and nothing is as it seems.

Rules
- I am the GM, and chaoticsunrise (Linn) is my co-GM. What we say goes; especially if we agree. -
- Be literate. I understand typos and such, we need to be able to read and understand what you're saying. -
- No fighting in the OOC. If you must, take it to PMs; but I would really rather you just not. -
- No god moding. It's gross. -
- Linn and I will be playing the random NPCs and such, and we will control time, and Events. We will post Events in this thread just before they are to happen in the IC. -
- To prove that you read the rules, put "Ludo" in big letters and some random bright color at the bottom of your sheet. -
- Basically anything can happen in the Labyrinth; let your creativity go crazy. -
- Yes, anything can happen; but you are not a superhero. These characters are normal humans. Play them as such. -
- I/we reserve the right to change these rules at any time. -
- Violence and Romance are both allowed and encouraged. Have fun. -
- Cursing is allowed, but unless your character has turrets, don't make them talk like it. -
- Everything that enters the Labyrinth and stays there end up turning into something different, for various reasons. -
- This is based on the '80s film "Labyrinth", but with my own little twists and such. Credit goes to Jim Henson and Lucasfilm LTD. -

Creatures
* = Changed from Humans
Worms :: Worms come in all different colors, and have tufts of bright colored hair. They have big eyes, and are found cute by most people; this opinion is often reinforced by the all around innocent kindness of most Worms. Obviously, they are worms that have gotten into the Labyrinth and gradually transformed into their current state. Many of these creatures are found in various walls and such of the Labyrinth, but most of them don't know their way around more than a few meters' radius of their home.
Goblins* :: Goblins are greatly varied in shape and size, much like the humans that they used to be. They tend to be a bit on the clueless side, and are rather slow to understand things. Also, they are very energetic. These creatures were formed from babies taken from their homes on Earth, and changed in the Castle to become what they now are. They are not necessarily bad, nor are they necessarily good; they are just very loyal to their King.
Begrabens* :: The Begraben, also known as 'Junk Ladies', are young women that have gone into the Labyrinth and never came out. When they were human, they were very materialistic, and cared far too much about their toys and things than they should have. So, when they went into the Labyrinth, they found a large junkyard surrounding part of the Goblin City. In this junkyard, they found objects that resembled the ones they treasured from home, and began finding more and more of these objects. Eventually, the objects became part of them, and the young women became old-looking, with rough, dark gray-brown colored skin, with hunched over backs piled high with random pieces of junk. They are often a bit grouchy, but are easily distracted by any object they like.
Talking Doors* :: Talking Doors come in pairs. Some of them are door knockers, some of them are strange creatures hiding behind a shield attached to their door; point is, they come in all different forms. Something that is always the same, however, is the fact that they are pretty much there to confuse anyone stuck in the Labyrinth. Anyone who confronts the doors is given an option: which door to walk through. Not many walk away from the doors, so they don't consider that a third option. Some of them were Changed, for various reasons, and some of them were created by the Goblin King. Every one of them has a different way to twist the words and minds of many, confusing quite a few out of going any further.
Helping Hands* :: The Helping Hands are blue, dirty hands. They were young men at one point, way back when the Goblin King's father ruled the land. They were pushed into a hole, and a dirt tunnel was built around them, going straight from the surface into one of the Labyrinth's many oubliettes. Many of them managed to get their hands out before the rest of them died away, but that was it. Their hands stayed alive, and once they Changed, the hands could talk- but only if they worked together to make faces that moved as if they were speaking. Their job is to make sure people that fall down the tunnel don't die before they hit the bottom; half way down the tunnel, whoever fell down it is given a decision: Up or Down. Whichever one they choose, the Helping Hands push them to their chosen end.
Gestanks* :: A Gestank is a generally tall, thin creature. Back when they were humans, they were probably a bit clumsy; how they changed was falling into The Bog of Eternal Stench. They drowned in it, and eventually sank to the bottom. There, they slowly changed. The average time it takes for the Change from Human to Gestank is about two months, though sometimes it takes only a matter of days, and sometimes it will take almost a year. Once Changed, Gestanks emerge from The Bog, and are much taller and thinner than humans, with slimy hair. Their skin ranges through a few different shades of blue and green, and is usually covered in large bumps, which burst open at random, releasing a stench much resembling that of The Bog itself. Needless to say, they aren't exactly the sweetest smelling of creatures.
Faeries* :: The women who tended to be backstabbers, and relied on others for support; these are the ones that shrunk down, and grew wings, becoming a much prettier version of a mosquito. A lot of them didn't even make it into the Labyrinth, and now remain on the outside, as if guarding the entrance. They bite people and drink their blood to survive, and some Goblins carry around spray bottle filled with a liquid mixture to spray on them, which instantly takes away the Faeries' ability to fly, and slowly kills them. These creatures are generally about 2 to 5 inches tall.
Kotewkins :: Kotewkins used to be house cats. Somehow, they managed to get stuck in the Labyrinth; now they are much larger, ranging from three two six feet tall, and about twice their height in length, plus their tails. Their fur is usually the same length it was when they got stuck in the Labyrinth, sometimes a little longer if anything; but their fur is now very sleek and soft, and the have markings of many different exotic colors. Each Kotewkin has different markings. Their tails are quite long, and have a single spike at the end. They have ridges on their head of hard bone, almost like crowns or helmets. As they changed, they gained the ability to speak; they also gained the ability to fly, due to large wings that now protrude their backs. These wings are covered in feather-like fur, and often have pale colored marking adorning them. These creatures are usually very insightful, and rather confusing. They love riddles.
Quens :: The Quen are creatures evolved from dogs, and often travel throughout the Labyrinth in packs of about three to eight. They are about four to six feet tall, and walk on their hind legs. They have long, floppy ears, and large horns on the top of their heads. Their paws have elongated 'fingers', with sharp nails usually about three or four inches long. Their fur is shaggy, and though most are usually all one color, some have spots. The colors range from all sorts of reds and browns to black, and every once in a while, white. They have rather large eyes, that are all colors of the rainbow. Quens are probably the nicest creatures in the Labyrinth, and are definitely the most loyal; problem is, they are loyal to basically everyone who is nice to them- so if they have good encounters with the Goblin King, and then have good encounters with the humans trying to take babies back from him, things can get a bit complicated. Anyhow, yes; Quens can talk. For the most part, though, they prefer not to- they would much rather make noises and such to express themselves.
Feketes* :: These are the Black Widows of the human race. They suck the life out of the ones they love; why depends on who they are. Point is, they come in to the Labyrinth, and maybe make some friends. When they do, the Labyrinth sees how they are, and slowly but surely, these women begin to change. Their fingers turn to things resembling spider legs, their skin turns black, and their eyes turn red. These 'leg fingers' spit poison into wounds, as long as they made them; the wound then mutates, and if the wounded does not find an antidote in less than 24 hours, they will die a slow and painful death. These creatures live alone, in small, web like houses called Gerinks, built in the many corners of the Labyrinth. From there, the Fekete spin webs of illusion, tricking people and creatures into doing what they want. The only way for them to lose their ability to spin these webs is if they are blinded. Compared to some other creatures in the Labyrinth, Fetekes are rather smart.
Fireys* :: [[-I'll edit this in later-]]
-More to Come- (By the way, there are probably almost always going to be MoreToCome; we are most likely going to randomly create creatures throughout the role play...)

Places and Things
The Wall :: The wall goes around the edge of the Labyrinth; there is a door that ever goblin knows where is, but most only know how to get into the Labyrinth through it- not out. When you are inside this wall, it looks as if you are in a hallway, that goes on and on forever with no turns, corners, exits or entrances. Of course, nothing is as it seems.... [This is where Alicia will wake up.]
