A loud, grating sound echoed throughout the somewhat crowded garage. It held only two cars at the moment, -a 1973 Chevrolet El Camino SS and a 1988 Honda Prelude- though it could hold five. Most of the space was filled with what could only be a mechanic's dream come true. There were two welding units, enough tools and parts to rival any professional auto sports team's arsenal, and then some. Everything was strewn about in disarray, but the owner of the garage found herself at home in what most would call a "mess".

The owner, and the source of the noise, was a small young girl in oil and grease-stained coveralls, currently taking a grinder to the engine casing for the El Camino. Kayuk Raevanna Revirn, known simply as Kray, had a look of pure determination and hatred on her face that it seemed she was oblivious to the world around her. Indeed, the garage doors were wide open, allowing for the chill air to circulate into the garage, though Kray hardly noticed. She was too busy being angry at the stubborn engine casing, which she had been attempting to bore out to fit a bigger engine for several days now.

Leif walked through the streets searching for the garage that held his quarry. Quarry? the thought to himself, a little disappointed in his train of thought. He knew better than to think of this as hunting. He was never one to like the word, let alone the concept. What he did, he reminded himself, was right wrongs, and protect people. Though, this original case bugged him.

The townsfolk of this area had hired him, since he was passing through and they were desperate, to rid their home of the assassin, Kayuk Raevanna Revirn. Apparently, they had reason to believe she was just undercover, the more wealthy residents believing she were after them. He couldn't believe either, but he thought, even if he didn't kill this person, that he should at least see what was on her mind.

After an hour of stumbling around, he happened upon the decent sized garage. His brow crinkled as he made his way to an open bay door, and he peered in. The place was a mess, tools and car parts thrown around haphazardly. With a shrug, he knocked on the metal track of the door.

"Excuse me? Hello?" He waited a moment, and hearing a grunt and slamming of metal on metal, he stepped in, not waiting for a reply. "Excuse me, I'm looking for someone..." he spoke softly, but the cement shop allowed his voice to carry, since there were no machines in use.
As babies, mustn't we learn to crawl before we walk? Then, why as adults do we speak before we think?

The sound of the grinder stopped as soon as the man stepped inside the garage. Once the man stopped speaking, the grinder would come flying past his head, but would miss and clang into an upright tool box. The young woman would appear from within the empty engine casing, as she sat on the bumper of the El Camino, scowling at the intruder.

"Just who do you think you are, walking into my garage without invitation like that?" Kayuk "Kray" Revirn growled, the menacing appearance clouded by the blots of grease on her pixie-like face.

Ducked, his eyes wide in surprise, and evaded the flying grinder. His mind whirled as the woman appeared from inside the car. He hadn't meant to offend anyone by entering. But, he had a job to do, and he wouldn't cow down.

"I'm sorry, I am just looking for someone and I was told she would be here." His voice carried across the room though he hadn't spoken more than just a whisper. He wasn't sure, but he thought this may be the person he was searching for. She certainly fit the description...

He looked about the garage. Then realizing his silence. He asked, beginning to expect the forthcoming answer. "Would you know where I can find, a-uh, Kray Revirn?"

A soft, innocent chuckle escaped the girl's lips, though the light in her chocolate brown eyes made it seem... not so innocent. She leaned back against the frame of the El Camino languidly, brushing back a midnight blue spike of hair from her face as she glared at the man.

"You're looking at her, shit-stain," Kray replied, pretending to clean her nails on her coverall front. "Now, if you're here just to waste my time, I'm going to have to ask you kindly to get the fuck out. Else I might get irritated and decide to kick your ass out myself."

Kray yawned loudly, somehow looking all the more threatening with her lazy and unassuming manner.

Grimaced as the woman assaulted him with her words. He wasn't one to run away, especially if it meant relieving a town of someone as vile and rude as this. He glanced back out of the garage, the way he had come in. The sun was just reaching it's arch as he turned back around.

His bright, electric green eyes flashed with a hint of anger as he heard the threat. "Actually, I am here to escort you out of this town." He emphasized the word, to demean her statement of his leaving.

He stood straight, his posture showing he was relaxed. He didn't feel that way though. He knew that this was not going to be an easy trip. Why didn't he get the easy jobs? Mentally shrugging, he tossed the thought to the back of his mind and waited on the pixie-like woman to respond.

Kray stared at the man, quite bemused. Never in her seventeen years had she met a man who didn't go belly-up for her. She slid her small form off of the vehicle, lighting up a cigarette. Despite the haphazard appearance of the garage, there were no open containers of flammable liquid, nor any evidence of any spills. Kray knew full-well what could happen if a stray ember might happen to land on these.

"Escort me from this town?" She mused, taking a drag. "Why would I want to be escorted from this town, pray tell?"

Knowing he needed to get the upper hand, even though this place was this girl's, he leaned against the edge of the garage door. His long black ponytail laid on his shoulder, the front dipping about his eyes. He crossed his arms over his slender but muscular chest.

"I don't wish to be rude, but, I have been asked by the towns folk to escort you out of their town. They do not wish to have assassins living around them." The voices shifting through his thoughts enforced his anger on the word. He remembered the vehemence of the wealthier townsfolk and grimaced.
