Re: New here :]

Welcome, Brooke! Hope you find RPGateway to be to your liking. To get a feel for how RP tends to pan out around here, I suggest taking a gander at the Manual, the Rules, and the Guide. All sounds similar, but each is a bit different.

Hope to see you around!

Re: Harbingers (Discussion/OOC/Sign-ups)

Okay guys, I am way less confused now. Thank you xD And thanks for the PM, Dalmar. At least my confusion was well-founded!

Re: Enter the Hero of Two Worlds

Welcome to RPGateway, Garibaldi. We're all pretty busy now that school semesters have roared to life again, so don't feel bad. Your username and profile are fascinating and incredibly confusing, and it's quite obvious this was what you strove to accomplish. Putting Garibaldi's name in place of Fifi ...

Re: Harbingers (Discussion/OOC/Sign-ups)

Ohh how interesting. I am confused, however, because I don't understand why Lars would would work with a demon. From what I've read of the RP this far, isn't he part of the group attempting to beat down the baddies? Perhaps I don't fully understand that intricacies of the world you've created. Slaye...

Re: Harbingers (Discussion/OOC/Sign-ups)

Welcome aboard That'sNotPoetry; you're character will work quite well in this RP. The appearance is fine. The normal citizens of Pandora are blind to it anyway. Oh, no, Viktor's appearance is very visibly warped. Unless confronting other "denizens," he doesn't step foot into the public ey...

Re: Hey

Hello Josh! Sorry to hear you've grown bored with past RP sites. I hope you have better luck here. I suggest taking a look at the Rules and Manual threads in the Main Lobby and Welcome Desk. Member guidelines, starting RPs, and joining RPs tends to be a bit different with each website. I wish you th...

Re: Harbingers (Discussion/OOC/Sign-ups)

Myrin pointed me to this. I haven't read any IC posts yet (trying to wrap up some homework before I head to work.) I am interested in joining, as the two other RPs I have going seem to be dying rapidly. However I'm worried my character might be a bit out of place. Dalmar, how do you feel about demon...

Re: Post Rating and Member Reputation: An Explanation

Remæus, question! I see that you have altered the stars to have alternate next for further explanation. I like that! It also creates less clutter under our icons and user names. But now I see something else that confuses me. It says I have a 3.6 rating, but shows four stars. It says you have a 4.6 r...

Re: Childhood Heroes

Oh shit! I think Fist of the North Star is a pretty cool guy, eh destroys bodies from within and doesn't afraid of anything. Also the mention of these heroes reminded me of one which I am ashamed to have forgotten: SEGATA SANSHIRO http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/1763/3im1.jpg I heart you, Ken. Also...

Re: The Mouse Comes Outta It's Hole

Lordie, I know so much about you all of a sudden xD Great intro, and welcome to RPGateway! Into the romance, eh? BFFs, yay! Just remember that this is a kid-friendly site, so consider the depth of your romantic content before posting. (For example, I like some really descrptive stuff, so I take that...

Re: Some dragon artwork.

This is an RP site, R&P (can I call you that? xD) Folks generally come here for RP, so the OOC forums aren't always as active. I have a few suggestions for you. I hope you find them useful. :3 1: Consider resizing your images before you post them. 2: Dragons are fantasy creatures, yes, but they ...

Re: New role player here

Welcome, Jennula! For a Swedish-native, your English is quite commendable! Better than a few of the English-natives I know, both on and away from the internet. I'm sorry to hear you're RP communities have shrunk so much over the years. But, that's how hobbies go, I suppose. This place is pretty big,...

Re: The Video Game thread!!

Tried RE4 but couldn't get past the first part with all of those zombies in a big group and ambushing you every-where.I thought the merchant dude very funny popping out of nowhere, like how'd you even get here.I watched my brother play it and he beat it easy.It wasn't that scary. I don't think it w...

Re: The Video Game thread!!

Oh mang! I'm not big on RPGs, especially not MMORPGs, but I have been obsessing over FF12 for like a year now. Oh, Balthier. A man after my own heart. Primarily, I like horror and adventure. My top two favorite series are Resident Evil and Silent Hill, but not for the same reasons! I hate comparing ...

Re: Pretext and Past-tense

Welcome to the board! I am sorry that you can't "go" anywhere on the web without being smacked with Australian cliches. Of course, going on about it likely doesn't help your case, but it's still frustrating, I'm sure! I'm curious what some of the biggest American cliches are, other than &q...

Re: Doth Thou Haveth Variety?

People tend to go with what they're good at, and it's easier to be good at the same sorts of stuff over and over again. There are a lot of kids here between the ages of 14 and 17, so they will have a lot of characters their own age in familiar settings, such as high school. Anime, vampires, and the ...

Re: Your most unusual hobby

I belong to a Sci-fi club where more than half do some sort of role-playing so its not that unusal for me. I just create symbols or design all over my hand untill you can't see the color of my flesh. Unusual means not of the norm. Roleplay (especially online freeform text) isn't a very normalized h...
