Welcome to the Asylum for the mentally ill and phsycologically deranged (in other words WELCOME ALL LOONY'S!)
This is Stanley house- NO RICHARD NOT STANLEY'S HOUSE, STANLEY HOUSE- a care home for people with mental health problems.
Did I mention we have a very nice Cafe? Our special today is fish and chips

Anyways, you have been sent here by family, friends, careworkers, guardians, flying fish...whoever you want really-
Brain: What's with all the fish comments today?

thank you. Now, where were we? Ah yes, the asylum has been around for a number of centuries, so as you can imagine the building is antique, very old and delicate-
Brain: You mean It's falling apart?
Quiet you. As I was saying, the building's not exactly what you would call modern- and therefore, it consists of many rooms, attics and basements alike, and can hold alot of people.
YOU ARE THE PATIENTS (or carers if you really want to be) and your job is to go through each day in this house being as crazy as possible, depending on what your 'illness' may be.
So, can you step it up and embrace the challenge? Who knows, but meanwhile, the asylum awaits...

Reason For Admission [Includes Personality & Bio];;
Billy hasn't spoken a word since he witnessed his father murdering his mother when he was seven years old. Shortly afterwards he developed a violent imaginary friend who told Billy things he wished he was brave enough to do, like kill his father, but Billy himself never spoke a word. His father was sent to prison and Billy passed through a succession of foster homes, where he became disturbing around children and animals, whom he seemed to enjoy hurting, and where he also started daubing violent and often disturbing messages on the walls, sometimes using candle flame. He also has horrific nightmares and often wakes up screaming.

Eventually, social workers set him to a mental institution when his behaivour just carried on getting worse and worse.

Billy has just been sent here.

Appearance;;
Billy has short blonde hair and is good-looking in a rough, chiselled way, but his face is waxen and his eyes are surrounded by dark, tired circles. Often his eyes are filled with hate, but perhaps more frequently he just appears dead to the world.

He stands at around 5'6", which isn't particularly tall for a boy his age. He is very skinny - his ribs are plain under his shirt. He is also covered in scars, burns and cuts all over his body, and his eyes are always surrounded by deep, dark hollows caused by pain and tiredness.

Reason for admission/Illness: She was sent here because she has an illness which makes her learning cababilities and how she thinks change drastically in just a matter of moments[Like the multiple personality disorder except it's more of her acting different ages and intelligences]. At one moment she can be acting like a perfectly normal teenager and at the other she'll act like an fifty year old. At first her parents just thought she was bipolar and was having mood swings but as she got older it just started to creep them out.
How long have you been here?: One year
Personality: Alexandra's personality is always changing. Sometimes she can be a completely normal girl and yell at the doctors for keeping her here when she should be out with her friends but the next moment she could be comlplaining of a back ache like a fifty year old women and the next moment she could be hysterically crying because someone touched her. Most people think she's normal when they first meet her because atleast fifty percent of the time Alex is acting like a normal teenager but then they will start to see how she changes.
Bio: Alexandra was born to a middle class family. Her parents both worked as highschool teachers and she had two older brothers. She lived a completely normal like for about ten years. She was a freat dancer and competed in her state for gymnastics. Her parents were always very proud of her yet they never pushed her over the limit or make her do anything that she didn't want to do. Out of the blue one day she randomly started acting like a child. Her parents thought she was just going through "teenager stages" and that she was just being whiney because of that but the next moment she started telling them that she was the president of the United States. Her parents took her to therapy classes every day and it seemed like things started to get better. She was able to go to school once again when she was eleven but was taken out by her parents and brought to this home when she was eleven because she was too much to handle.
Appearance: Alex has brown, naturally wavy hair. When she is acting normal she will attempt to let one of the nurses let her use a brush and when she is allowed to her hair actually looks nice because the natural waves will become more bouncy and compliment the thin, pale face. Alex has large brown eyes that normally are filled with tears because she does cry a lot. She weighs 78 lbs and stands at 4'3.

Reason for admission/Illness: multiple personalities(3 to be precise)
How long have you been here?: three years
Personality: Normally she she is very quite and keeps to herself.She's very shy and easily scared, however one of her other personalities is mean,snappy,judgmental and obsessed with the living dead and pixies and such while the third is very hyperactive,loud and likes to play trick on people.
Bio: She was always a very strange child and spent most of her time living in her head. Her parents died when she was 6 and she lived with her siblings, cousins, aunt and uncle ever since. She was never very popular and shortly after her multiple personalities developed her aunt and uncle sent her here and haven't come to visit her since.

Reason for admission/Illness: Devin has become insane in the way that he is extremely violent and portrays this cruelty in very strange and disturbing ways.
How long have you been here?: Devin has been here for about three months.
Personality: Devin is not normally socializing with people, insteading he is plotting violent things which obviously he can't do being watched 24/7 but he always attempts it. Devin is known to be very violent and cruel in a disturbing way. He enjoys destroying things and people in ways that will cause them as much pain as possible. This is not always how Devin acts though. Sometimes his sanity will come back to him and he will act normal, being bored with his insane self but that usually only lasts for a few minutes because something or someone will spark his interest to destruct.
Bio: Devin was born on January 2nd, 1992 to Celia and Greg Hale. His father worked as a poilce sheriff and his mother was a nurse who worked a night shift. Devin grew up normally as a boy who loved to play sports, mainly football and baseball and had friends. He got good grades and was an all around good kid until he was sixteen. Two months after his sixteenth birthday, Devin's father was shot in a bank robery which he was called to help out at. Later that night he died. This was the main factor that caused Devin to turn insane. He began to vandalize the school and eventually got expelled. That was when his mother decided he needed to get help and she sent him to this mental institution.

Evalin like's to experiment in strange ways, she enjoys the pain of trying to kill herself and likes the taste and smell of blood, they have a pet name for her at the home, 'vampy'.
How long have you been here?
Evalin has been living here since she was 6 and everybody knows it- she's like a less bimboey version of queen bee.
Personality
Evalin's personality is a struggle to describe, probably 'interesting' suits her best, she's very clever and can be cunning when she feels like it, Evalin likes to stare at people, studying them alot, she is a curious character but can be very intimidating alot of the time, some of the bolder patients at the home call her things behind her back, regarding her appearance and mannerisms, she can come across very flirtacious but that's just her way.
Bio
Evalin's parents are dead, but no-one really knows what actually HAPPENED, just that there was a lot of blood and it was a gruesome scene that only Evalin survived. She was found sitting curled up on a tiled floor, her eyes wild and frantic and covered in blood and bits of intestine.
The doctors took her to hospital and checked her out, but when they realised she was acting incredibly strange they called in the specialists.
They tried desperatley to figure out what had happened from her but she wouldn't speak, the therapists put it down to shock and stuck her in a home for a few months, but when her erratic behaviour continued and there seemed to be more and more scars on her arms and legs, they decided to send her here, diagnosing her as, 'Troubled'.
The problem is, Evalin doesn't remember anything about her past before the home, or at least she seems not to- many phsycologists have tried -and failed- to get a look in inside her head, but she usually unnerves them in such a way that SHE'S the one ending up getting inside THEIR heads. Strange don't you think...? 0.o

Long straight raven black hair with layers, pixie like features except wiht large piercing silver eyes, translucent skin, slender and fairly tall and very beautiful

Reason for admission/Illness: Ever since she could walk, Summer has been in the company of an imaginary friend - or, as she likes to put it, her Ghost Friend Abigail that died in 1801. In the books under "Schizophrenic".
How long have you been here?: Five years
Personality: Summer is usually a very calm person, preferring to sit in silence and draw rather than interact with people. She could be very talkative if she wanted, but chooses to speak to no one but her sister - and, of course, Abigail - mainly because it annoys the carers.
Bio: Summer was around two years old when Abigail first came up. At first, her parents dismissed this as something she would grow out of, until they noticed the difference. When asked about Abigail, Summer would smile sweetly and say "She's my ghost friend." Not only that, but Abigail wasn't just a childhood companion; she's stayed with Summer right up to now. After nine years of watching their eldest daughter talk to herself, her parents decided she was schizophrenic and packed her off here without a first opinion, let alone a second.
Appearance: Shoulder-length blonde hair, sometimes curled, sometimes straightened, always layered. Childlike features, blue eyes, etc. Slim figure, average height.
Other: Shares a room with her sister, Autumn.

She kills people...lots of people...people whom she doesn't feel should live. shortly, she doesn't like when people irritate her which is very often the case.

New arrival as of when we start.
Personality:
Calm and quiet. She has a ghostlike grace about her and she more glides than walks into a room. In a crowd she seems to be the loudest but she really does not speak much, standing alone in a corner usually where she can just watch. She does warm up to a few selected people, those who are not rude to her, and has a dazed like expression on all the time like she's watching everything through a cloud.
Bio:
Back at her neighborhood, anyone who was ever seen talking to her or about her poorly was found dead in some bizarre accident the very next day. One man had shouted at her to get off his lawn and he was found run over by his own lawnmower. A lady tried to talk to her and find out what was wrong and Ruby took offence and the woman drownd in her own sink. No one found evidence to prove Ruby was killing these people but the neighbors and her parents were scared still to do anything. The deal was settled when one day at her new school they had gotten together to know each other and when it came her turn to introduce herself her words were. "Hi...I'm Ruby...And I hope you all said your prayers today." It was that that officially sent her to the facility.
Appearance:
She has very pale skin and almost white blond hair that falls all the way to her waist. Her eyes are the bluest eyes you could ever see, like the color of the sky on the clearest day. She is short for her age, and thinner than she should be, weighing close to nothing. She looks so frail when standing next to most anyone but she is stronger than she looks but not by much. Despite the creapy look in her eyes, she is quite beautiful in a deadly sort of way. Many have expected her to be innocent after seeing her but they are very mistaken.

Personality: Lucy is a shy girl who tends not to talk very much. She prefers to sit and read rather than face the difficulties of striking up a conversation with someone.
Bio: Ever since Lucy has been friends "Becca" her parents wanted nothing to do with her. Her family are well respected round their neighbourhood and couldn't afford their reputation to be ruined by their daughter's "Condition" so they kept her illness under wraps until they couldn't take it any longer and sent her away.
Appearance: Dark brown soft curly hair. Brown smouldering eyes. Slim Figure. Average Height.

Reason For Admission/Illness:Autumn had always been very close to her sister, so when her parents packed Summer off to a loony bin and denied her any access to her, Autumn became depressed. Eventually, that depression lead to several suicide attempts; her parents decided they couldn't cope with yet another screwed up child and packed her off to the loony bin too.
How Long Have You Been Here?:4 years
Personality:Autumn is usually very quiet, not really wanting to communicate with people, she usually just sits by herself or with her sister. The only people she really communicates with are herself or summer.
Bio: Autumn never really clicked with her parents, the only person she could really talk being her sister, Summer. So when Summer was sent to the loony bin Autumn felt like she was alone, this drove her to several suicide attempts. When her parents finally decided they couldn't cope with her they sent her to the loony bin aswell.
Appearance: Blonde layered shoulder-length hair. Grey eyes, very petite figure.

Gentle and very patient. She is never rough with her patients and seems to have her own charm that helps her with breakthroughs with even the most stubborn patients. She knows everything that goes on in the asylum and knows every child and patient by name and also their ailments by heart. Her best interest is helping others and is very smart.
Bio:
Jenny grew up with her aunt and her mental brother. Her brother was born with ailments in his brain that made it so he could not tell what was real and what was fake in the world, suffering from hysterics and hallucinations. he was only ten when he ran into traffic thinking he saw jenny in the road about to get hit by a car. he had just imagined it though and was killed at the scene. jenny then dedicated her life to studying psycology and other different studies that might help her with troubled kids like her brother. She was very smart and graduated high school when she was fouteen. By ninteen she was already an intern at the asylum. By 20 she was a top doctor there.
Appearance:
Tall with brown hair and clear, warm colored skin. She had brown eyes as well and is very attractive. She always dresses casually because she noticed kids seem to react better to a more layed back appearance than the standard lab coats and plain shirts. She is always smiling and although she is slim, she is very strong.

Reason for admission/Illness: Attacked his sister but had no recollection of the incident as he blacked out. ( I cant really describe it it'll branch en out as the RP progresses)
How long have you been here?: 1 year
Personality:Lee is very quiet and terribly shy. He often wants to be alone, Lee gets uncomfortable and confused in some situations, its not all clear why.
Bio:Lee attacked his sister when arrived home from school. He doesn't remember any of it as he blacked out during the attack. He came back to reality to find himself holding a bloodied knife. His hands covered in his sister's blood and her covering in the corner screaming in pain. Hearing her screams Lee's parents come bursting into the room. He couldn't explain himself as he couldn't remember doing it. His parents thought this would happen as they had started noticing that Lee had started talking to himself when he was alone. So that drove them to the decision of sending him to the house.

Yeah i thinks he's really good as a comedian. It took me ages to think of a first name on my character usually it doesn't take me long to think of a name. if i start to write the name Mark instead of Lee then its probably because I'm thinking of a similar character in a separate thread. I'll probably correct it before i post if such an event does occur. i hope the IC threads up soon. lol.

haha, I know what you mean, that tends to happen to me alot too- for instance one time I was playing a character in a fantasy roleplay called Jade, and another called Kaiyah in a different roleplay, so I kept switching between the two names accidentally, leaving everybody scratching their heads, utterly baffled

just writing up the IC btw all
