need some help :(

Ok, no matter what I do, I can not make a good Romance scene. I have tried to act cool, surprised, and all situations (heck i took a part in a roleplay just about that, BleachxOC with 2 different people.) Sadly, the website i was attempting these on, got deleted and replaced by some crappy redirection site, so i lost all my actual posts. how ever i would still like some help, so would someone please help me with my blight? D:

I guess my first question is what do you mean by "Romance scene" specifically. Do you mean more generally, a roleplay where there's meant to be chemistry between two characters?

As Sato points out, more info would help, but let me see...

I don't do a lot of RP that revolves around romance solely, but I think, first and foremost, it's good to have a developed character. If you really get into your character's head, what they would do in a given situation will often be clear, and if you have an interesting, well-rounded character, you have a better chance to create interesting interactions. Consider your character's background, personality, and motivations. What are they attracted to? How do they react when something attracts them? What quirks do they have; is there anything they do that others wouldn't? Try not to put your character on "auto-pilot" and to go through the motions of a stereotypical, generic romance; really let the character be an individual.

Flaws. Good characters come down to flaws. Having flaws react off of flaws is the core of good character interaction.

The more tension you can have between characters is better. Put characters at odds. Put them in situations where they're forced to react off of each other, even if it is unfavorable. Have you watched many movies with "Will They/ Won't They" characters? There's usually some sort of instance where the characters are forced together in improbably circumstances.
