Welcome! Do you mean you're new to roleplaying in general or just to Role Play Gateway? I'll round up some tips for you based on what you're looking for. Either way, there are a lot of things to learn, but I also think just doing it is as important as anything else. Don't be afraid to get in there and try it out.
