- Characters are on borrowed time. After 365 days, the comet will return to grant them their own heart's desire. They can either choose to stay with their writers or go back into the book in which they originated
- Writers can control their characters. Whatever is written will be done. (As this does affect free will, I ask that you do not god-mod and ask the roleplayer's permission before forcing the character to do anything)
- All of the character's abilities remain intact, even in the real world (i.e. Derek's werewolfism and Agent 626's shape-shifting)
- If the writer were to die, the character would be reduced to a puddle of ink
- If the character remains distant from the writer for a long period of time, they'll slowly begin to fade (similar to the way words fade on an piece of aged parchment)
- Depending on the strength of the character's bond with their writer, the character might experience such phenomenons as: hearing their writer's thoughts, feeling their writer's pain, knowing where their writer is just by sensing it, etc-...
