Benjamin is a tall stoic character. He’s what some may consider “tall, dark, and handsome.” He’s grew up a little on the chubbier side and once he hit high school, that’s when he no longer let it affect him. He started working out and became a well-built young man. Ben stands at 6 foot flat and his build is muscular. His hair is left short and his dark skin comes from his Afro-Brazilian roots.

His sense of style is typically business casual. Benji likes dressing well and likes looking good. His style can appear sometimes simple yet still professional. He likes to dress in simple suits for out of school activities and in simple, Sunday casual for school and such.

As of now, the boy has no tattoos but would like some. He wants to get a few tattoos to cover up his back, chest, and arm. He hasn’t decided yet what kind of tattoo he wants, but he wants something that reminds him of his Brazilian roots. Aside from that, all he has are his ears pierced. He has a few scars; one on his chest of a bullet wound. One on his back that runs from the top of his right shoulder to the middle of his spine, and a long one on his right arm from a knife wound.

P E R S O N A L I T YXT R A I T S
      ✦ Humble ✧ Tender ✦ Curious ✧ Defensive ✦

Ben is a very humble person. By growing up in the slums, he didn’t really have any other options. He had to make games out of sticks and stones, he had to make shoes out of old plastic and rubber material, he wore out hand-me-downs from it being the only clothes he had. He grew up with very little to his name and from that, has learned that being materialistic isn’t everything. Ben had to learn that happiness in life is more than what is given to you, but rather what you make of it. Life is temporary and Ben learned that the hard way.

While he has a tender personality, Ben also has quite a temper. He does what he can to keep himself calm, but one can only do so much. He’s soft spoken and doesn’t like letting this dark part of him appear, but if need be, Ben will most certainly act on it. His temper mostly derives from all the violence that he was in the midst of while as a child. He has what he would consider a form of PTSD. He often finds himself ducking upon hearing the backfire of a vehicle or similar noises, he gets aggressive when he believes someone is lying to him, keeping something from him, or is purposely trying to annoy him. Ben sticks up for himself, he sticks up for his family, and he sticks up for his friends. His temper is more of a short fuse type of situation. If anything is done that will trigger his anger, Ben is known to go into a blind rage of sorts. His eyes glaze over and his body tenses, Ben’s temper comes with immense strength. Get on his wrong side and the guy will pummel you into bits. He doesn’t care who stands in his way, he will rip people to pieces. He has a hard time trusting people and will often seem sort of shady, always keeping an eye over his shoulder and sleeping with one eye open.

Even with the occasional anger, Ben doesn’t really keep to himself. He’s got a very vibrant personality. He enjoys getting to know people. He spends a lot of time exploring new areas of cities and towns with hopes to find out more about not only the area but the people in the area. He is curious as to how social interaction works and how others work well with each other. From growing up in a violent and often less than civil city, when he sees towns where everyone knows each other and gets along, it intrigues him. Ben is charismatic, he knows what to say to please people – he knows how to use this to his advantage and while he doesn’t often because he prefers to try to stay often, Ben is fairly manipulative. You sort of learn how to be when everyone you know wants from you or is trying to kill you. Although he enjoys being around people, his past has taught him to be weary of people and their intentions. He knows that just because he’s true with his intentions, he knows that not everyone else is. He is careful who shares certain aspects of his life with. He may be an open book, it’s only to those who ask and only to those he’s learned to trust.

Ben is a fun guy. He’s flirtatious, he’s fun loving, he’s loud, energetic, charismatic and curious. He knows how to have a good time, unfortunately that’s due to him starting at such an early age, but the things he’s gone through while living in Brazil has humbled him. He’s never had much to live with so when his parents moved their family to the states, there was a bit of a culture shock. He likes to have a good time, but Ben doesn’t like to let the materialistic side of life overtake him. He’s sweet in that sense. He’ll give the shirt off his back to anyone who asks if they sincerely need it. Benjamin doesn’t play minds games, he doesn’t mess with people, he’s clear about his intentions most of the times.

His curiosity goes beyond the world in front of him. Ben enjoys exploring books, stories, poems, and even movies just as much as he enjoys exploring his surroundings. His parents moving him to the states allowed him to get a full and bright future in education and he made sure to delve deeply into the world of education offered to him once he left Brazil. He’s always got his nose deep in some books or website. He’s very intelligent and although sometimes he likes to play dumb, Ben is far from. He’s curious about how the world works and often times can find himself in a little bit of trouble with his exploring.

H I S T O R Y
Benjamin and his family were born and raised in Brazil. Benjamin and his parents lived in the slums of Rio de Janeiro. His mother was a house keeper and his father, a warehouse worker. Both parents were the children of farmers. The Cardoso family come from a long lineage of poor laborers. They had very little opportunities in Brazil and were looking to escape the corrupt world of drugs and gang lords. When Benji was 8, he was recruited by some of the older kids that were in a gang while living in Brazil. He spent the next 5 years of his life running with the dangerous gang. He was almost killed several times; he was shot, knifed, badly beaten. Eventually, his parents had enough of the life their son was living, with the little money they had saved up, they escaped for refuge to America. The young boy knew no English but quickly picked up on it as his parents put him and his siblings into school.

Both Sergio and Fabi were raised on the outskirts of the city in Brazil, making their living working on farms with their parents. Neither had a formal or proper education. However, neither are unintelligent or unaware of the world around them. Rather, they found other ways to learn the languages and wonders of the world around them. They met each other in a library, begging the world around them to teach them. They stumbled upon each other in an aisle and Sergio swears that he immediately fell in love with Fabiana. The way her brown eyes searched for knowledge, the way her lips formed to mouth words she had just learned, the way her hair fell in springs around her face. They were young when they met, 16 and 14. Fab was two years older than Sergio but that didn’t stop him from trying to woo her. It took him a full year before she finally gave in and started dating him. A few years later, Fab became pregnant with her first born, Marlon, out of wedlock. The two got married at a very young age and both were kicked out by their overly religious parents. The two found refuge in the slums of Brazil. Two years after Marlon’s birth came Benjamin, and within the following year came their last child, Beatrice.

While the boys were young, Marlon got into drugs and gang violence. Not long after, his own brother pulled him along into the trouble. The two nearly died several times – the two stuck together at all times and helped each other through the trouble. A few years into the gang violence and the several near death incidents, Sergio and Fabi decided that the life their boys were living was going to destroy the family. So the family packed up everything they had, withdrew every cent they had from the bank, and took their entire family to America. With very little money in their pockets, with no English on their tongues, and with hopes bigger than the sky, they moved to Florida. Now the family of five reside in Florida and the family is living much better than they had.

Moving to Florida wasn’t easy for the Cardosos. Fabiana and Sergio had to leave everything behind, and while their families were no longer in contact with them, they still had to leave behind full lives and friends. Fabiana, who worked as a maid in Brazil, started doing the same when she moved to the states. Sergio continued his work in a warehouse. Both started going to night school and learned English, and while their English is still mildly broken, they are in much better places than they started off with. Fabi now owns her own made service and Sergio is the regional manager of a shipping and receiving company.

“I never pictured myself being part of a fraternity when I was a kid. To be honest, I never pictured myself being in the states to begin with. So, now that I’m here, I’m definitely taking advantage of all the opportunities coming my way and this is just one of those opportunities. I like it, it’s different from what I picture American schools as, but it’s fun.”

For Ben, being able to join Greek Life is a dream come true. He feels as though he fits perfectly in the Kappa Alpha house. He’s there for his charm, his smarts, his all-around ‘good guy’ personality. For him KA is the best house option for him – they allow him to explore his thoughts, ideas, and creative side.

“I plan on taking the police exam and hopefully working with local law enforcement while I continue onto grad school to get my masters in behavioral psychology. I want to work as a behavioral analysist for the FBI so I’ll have to work my way up to that. I was never convicted of any crimes in Brazil so I have a ‘clean’ record so I know that’ll help me get up there.”

Most people spend Sunday trying to prepare themselves for the droll and unwanted responsibilities that come about come the dreaded Monday morning. They sip their tea, drink that last bit of wine, and lay in bed trying to decide if they're really going to be petty enough to pretend like they're sick in this call to their office, scrounging up every excuse in the book as to why they can't go to work, school, or wherever the daylight happens to take them. However, for the students at Fulton University, instead of the lackadaisical doings of their typical Sunday evenings, the air around campus (and throughout the city) is alive with anticipation as people pre-game and prepare for a night of carefree drinking, dancing, and even drama...

...especially drama, particularly when the Greek life students are involved.

Some students are still in dorms, apartments and houses getting ready for the Guys in Ties & Girls in Pearls event hosted by Fulton's own Greek Life Alumna Association. Girls are just finishing the finishing touches to their hair or just sliding into velvet dresses, lacing up and slipping into heels of various styles. Sipping on glasses of wine or champagne, giggling over their shared excitement over how the night could unfold and the plans they've already made. Maybe even the tipsiness they already have. And guys are fastening on cuff links, straightening up the suits some just got from dry-cleaning or delivered by their favorite tailoring services. Quaffing glasses of scotch or taking shots to the head in preparation for how absolutely trashed they're bound to be by night's end.

Regardless of where everyone is - even those who are known for being rather prompt as opposed to fashionably late - it's bound to be a night of sensuous, luxurious, riveting and possibly even scandalous fun...so just like the Alumna Association asked on twitter, where can we find you?

Yaya stood in front of her mirror and applied a bit of highlight to her cheekbones. She examined her dress one more time turning to the side to glance over her shoulder. She had discovered it a week ago after her and Zakia decided to take a last minute trip to Orlando to go to this animal sanctuary that Zay had found online. The dress fit perfectly but she couldn't help wonder if it was a bit much even for her for a school event. She shrugged lightly at the thought, it was too late to change the dress anyways so it didn't really matter.

She reached for Maya's pearl necklace that sat on her vanity and attempted to close the delicate clasps in the back. On her third try she was starting to get annoyed and she growled lightly.
"Need some help?" Yaya turned to see Maya and her father leaning against the doorway. She smiled lightly "Yes please,
Maya smiled lightly, "I thought that you would be more excited." She asked as she lifted her hair and gently closed the clasp. "This wouldn't have anything to do with that boy right?" Yaya made eye contact with her through the mirror and stepped out of her grasp. "Maya please leave it alone."

Her dad, who had moved from the doorway to sit in one of the corner chairs of the room arched an eyebrow at her, "Doe it's okay to say you're sad. It doesn't make you weak" Yaya crossed her arms over her chest defensively "I'm well aware of that daddy but I'm fine. I'm just stressed out I have two papers due next week and I work all week." ''
Her dad looked pensive for a moment but nodded "Alright but make sure you have fun, you work really hard, you deserve it" She gave him a dismissive smile and he and Maya shared bemused look but left nonetheless and she appreciated them giving her space.

A lot of her fellow Alpha's were getting ready at the house and were giggling and laughing and gossiping and she could have joined them but she preferred the calmness of her family's home over the idea of choking on multiple perfume clouds, sharing counter space with like ten girls at one time, the tears of the girl who will inevitably feel unattrative in her outfit, and the girl whose whole night is about to revolve around a Beta boy who only considers her another girl in his rotation.

She thought about driving but she didn't want to have to worry about if she was going to drink and have to pick up her car the next day or not so instead she pulled out her phone and called up an uber. While she had her phone open she sent a few texts out. she send one to Audrey that simply said that was going to arrive a bit early and she telling her that she had decided to show up early. Another text went to Cyrus asking him when he planned to arrive tonight. The last one went to Ben and after typing up four different responses and deleting all of them she simply sent him a text that said hello.

Her uber driver sent her a text saying he was outside five minutes later so she grabbed her phone and keys, not bothering with a wallet because she tucked fifty dollars into her phone case, and headed into the uber. It wasn't a long ride only about fifteen to twenty minutes. So when she arrived there were a few people walking around but it was mostly staff so she went inside and decided to sit on one of the lounges by the pool while she waited.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Ben stood at the foot of his bed, looking at himself in the mirror that hung on the wall across from him. He smoothed out the arms to the all black suit he was wearing for this evening's alumni event. The idea of skipping out on the evening's event still muddled over in his head. Normally, Ben would be overly excited to show off a new suit he got, or to interact socially with others as he loved to do. Tonight, however, was different than most days. He and Ayala haven't had much interaction since their break before the summer started, and he knew that today would be the day where they're forced to interact. Ben knew how to be civil, of course, but they haven't spoken in months. Things between he and Ayala hung in the balance and Ben was unsure which way things would be leaning.

As Ben continued to gaze at himself in the mirror, making sure that he looked presentable, he heard a soft knock at his bedroom door. "Come in," he spoke as softly as the knock landed. The door opened, and his sister's head popped in through the small opening she allowed herself. Ben smiled at his sister as she swung the rest of the door opened and she let herself fully enter the room. "Hey Bea, what're you doing here?" Beatrice sat herself down behind her brother on his bed. "I just wanted to see you off tonight, make sure you're doing okay." Ben turned around to face his sister and shyly smiled. "You mean you came to make sure my heart wasn't still broken over Ayala."Bea stood up and brought her hands to her brother's neck and adjusted his bowtie so that it sat straight under his collar. "Maybe, but can you blame me?" Ben broke eye contact and shook his head 'no' - his phone vibrated in his pocket at the same time. He pulled it from his pants to see Yaya had been the one to text him. He pressed his thumb to the home button on his iPhone and it unlocked. The message read nothing more but a simple 'hello' from the girl. It wasn't much but it was everything to Ben. "Speak of the devil," Ben chuckled, showing his sister the message that just came through on his phone. Beatrice smiled softly, "just be careful, okay? I'm heading home for dinner with mom and dad, I'll tell them you say hi." Ben nodded to both parts of her statement, exchanged a hug with her and walked her to his bedroom door. He closed the door behind him and looked back at the screen of his phone where a five-letter world taunted him. He didn't know what to send her without sounding desperate to see her so he simply wrote back, 'hey. what's up?'

The anxiety of waiting for the three-dotted speech bubble to pop on his phone prompted Ben to quickly slide his phone back into his pocket. He walked over to the his bedside table, grabbed his bottle of Whitewater Rush cologne and sprayed his neck, his chest, and his left wrist with the scent. He spread the smell on both wrists and across his entire neck. He grabbed his watch and made his way downstairs as he strapped it on. As Ben made his way down the stairs, he shouted out to any of the guys in the house, "Anyone riding with me, or are you all taking the shuttle? I've got an uber coming in less than 5!" Ben wasn't sure if Hayden or Danny were in the house getting ready, he knew that Nick was with Amaris, but he wanted to make sure that no one got left stranded at home. A ping came from Ben's phone, he checked it to see the notification that the uber was outside. "If you're riding with me, you've got two minutes to get your ass downstairs and into the uber!" Ben's shoes clacked against the hard floor of the house as he walked out the front door and towards the car that was waiting. Ben got into the car and confirmed the drop off location with the driver, they'd arrive a little early but Ben didn't mind it, he preferred to be punctual rather than make some sort of dramatic entrance well after everyone's arrived. The uber driver pulled away from the house and drove to the evening's event.

Yaya was casually lounging on one of the lounges wondering if she should have actually stopped by the Alpha house instead of simply coming early. The music from the pool DJ casually played a heartfelt love song through the speakers and she couldn't help the rush of disappointment that rushed through her. So she pulled her bluetooth earphones out and stuck them in her ears, they were low enough that they drowned out the song but low enough that if somebody talked to her she would be able to hear.

I heard your man ain't home now you melotone
But you acting young and you hella drunk

Next to her her phone buzzed on a side table. She lazily sat up and crossed her legs exposing a bit of flesh to grab her phone. Two messages popped up. The first was from Cyrus asking her if she wanted him there and she raised a corner of her mouth but sent him a text assuring him that there was no rush. The next was from Benji it was a simple text just a simple "hey, what's up" but it seemes like so so much more.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI need you
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx gonna wait for another moment to come
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I want you
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx And I swear to God, you should miss me when I'm gone

She tapped a series of messages to Benji back ranging from "Can we talk" and "See you soon," to "I miss you" finally she simply said "Nothing I just wanted to hear from you" and she put her phone down. She sighed and picked the phone up but clicked the lock button and she stood, tossing her dense mass of dark hair over her shoulder. Casting her eyes down to her phone one more time she started for the bar. She spotted another English major from her class and her boyfriend casually leaning against the bar.
"Damn Ayala" Charles said with a whistle. She raised a corner of her mouth, "Hello Charles, Hi Cassandra" Cassandra glanced around before cocking her head to the side. "Where's Benny Boy? I thought you two would arrive together" Yaya narrowed her eyes, pretty much everyone including Cassandra knew that her and Ben were taking a break so she didn't know why she was playing dumb. "No, I'm here solo."

Charles, always the mediator for his bitch girlfriend smiled at her but Yaya knew it was a pity smile. "It's fine really you don't have to do that." This time it was Cassandra who had a pity smile except hers was forced and it was to mock her.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI need you
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I'm a lovesick fuck
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I want you
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I'm a lovesick fuck

The song ended and leaned over the bar to request a rum and coke which was prepared for her promptly. With her drink in her hand she sauntered away to the couch area to stand in front of one of the large floor to ceiling windows and watch guests arrive. Her stomach felt tight as each car pulled up and loosen as each guest stepped out. She pulled out her phone and opened a new text to Cas asking him if he could bring some anti anxiety medication with him tonight.

Location: Kappa House || Danny's Bedroom
Outfit: Black and Grey Suit

Traffic is a bitch.

This was all Danny had time to think about as he stormed from his car, into the almost empty Kappa house, up the stairs, and to his bedroom. He should have left home early that morning, but his mom wanted him to come to church with the family. Danny could never so no to his mother. He didn't leave Orlando until the afternoon. This would normally be okay, but the traffic had other plans. So here he was, running extremely late for the first major social event of the Greek year. He threw open his closet and pulled out the first suit he saw. It was one of his favorites though, paring a black jacket / pants combination with a grey shirt, black tie, and black collar. He must admit to himself as he peeked in the mirror, he looked "fresh as hell", as he would probably tell Ben later on that night. Danny smiled at himself and peered back into his closet for shoes and a belt. He selected his pointed grey Tom Ford dress shoes with laces and its matching belt. Funny enough, his suit was also Tom Ford. Danny didn't just like to match color and concept wise, but he was typically found wearing outfits that were all the same brand.

He paced his way into the bathroom, wondering why the house was so quiet. He hadn't really talked to anyone all weekend, opting to focus on his family. Nick was probably with Amaris, but where were Ben and Hayden. Danny reached into a drawer and pulled out his favorite cologne: Bleu de Chanel. He sprayed it on his, rubbed it into his hands, and rubbed his hands along the outside of his sleeves. This was his typical cologne routine, just as his father had taught him before his first date. After brushing his teeth, Danny pulled out his phone and shot out a couple of texts.

TO: Nick Reyes
I assume you're with Amaris... tell her she better save me a dance tonight. :)

TO: Hayden
Where you at bro? Just got back, headed to the party in a second! See ya there? You better show!

Danny slipped his phone in his front right pocket and went back to his room to grab his wallet. Just as he grabbed the Versace wallet his father had given him for his 18th birthday, he heard Benjamin's announcement from the lobby, "If you're riding with me, you've got two minutes to get your ass downstairs and into the uber!" Danny hustled out of his room, only stopping to grab a wine cooler from his mini fridge on the way out. He descended the stairs just as Benjamin was shutting the door. He followed him and slid into the car just before it took off. He looked at Ben jokingly, "Way to rush me out the door bro. I hope I didn't forget anything." he laughed as he turned his attention to the people they passed outside of the window. Now that he thought about it, he really hoped he had his Student ID. He pulled his wallet from his back left pocket and smiled with relief when he saw the card in the top slot. Daniel took the down time to send a few more texts between sips of his cherry wine cooler.

TO: Daisy ;)
Headed to the party. You wearing that dress I like? ;)

TO: Eliza ღ
What time will you get to the party? Can't wait to see you! Missed you this weekend!

Danny's standing with both girls was confusing. Him and Eliza (or El as he called her) had been on a few dates, but things had faded over the summer. He had no idea where her head was. Daisy, on the other hand, had always intrigued Danny. He didn't know if there was a serious emotional connection, but he would smash in a second if given the chance. He didn't want to mess up their playful friendship though. While lost in his own thoughts he noticed Ben glancing nervously at his phone over and over again.

"You good bro? Is it YaYa? Danny made sure to place a note of concern in his voice. He didn't like seeing his friend down. You gotta quit being down over that. It's either gonna work or it won't. Whatever happens will be for the best though. I can tell you that. Don't be nervous! I'm pretty sure she's thinking the same you are." Danny smiled at his friend. He really looked up to Ben, so it was weird to be trying to give him advice. But Danny knew the situation between Ben and YaYa and wanted to see it resolved for Ben's sake.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

The uber ride over to the alum event was a little awkward for Ben, getting advice from Danny wasn't how he planned for the night to go. Ben's eyes stayed pressed to his phone, pushing the lock button on the side of the phone every time the screen went dark. His mind pleaded with his heart to stop hurting and his heart pleaded with his mind to care. But he did, Ben cared a lot. He wanted nothing more than have everything work out with Ayala. Everything just seemed harder than it should've been at the moment. Ben's mind wandered for a bit, away from the uber, away from Danny, away from the moment he was in. He slowly drifted back into the moment and realized he was still alongside Danny in the car. "Uh, yeah, no man," Ben shook his head, trying to bring his attention back to where he currently was. "I'm sure everything will be fine." Ben turns his attention down to his phone again, a text from Ayala arrived six minutes ago - he must've zoned out and not felt the vibration. He unlocked his phone to read the message, 'Nothing I just wanted to hear from you' staring back at him, lighting up his brown skin in the dark shadows of the backseat of the car. The text warmed him up from the inside out. A smile broke across his serious face. Ben looked at Danny, "I'm telling you man, everything will be fine." Ben turned back to his phone and pondered what to write back.

His fingers clacked away at the little glass screen as he typed out message after message, deleting one after the other. He didn't want to sound desperate to have her back, even though he was. He finally sent her 'Well, it's good to hear from you too.' He hit send and then quickly typed up a follow up message, 'will I see you tonight?' Ben hit send before he could even think about what he was sending. The car pulled into the entrance of the concourse and slowly came to a stop. Ben tipped the driver with cash and slid out of the backseat of the car. He smoothed out his suit again and took a deep breath, looking up at the entrance of the building that was going to decide his fate for the night. He walked into the building, making his way into the lobby where staff and few other students started to accumulate. Ben tried to look past the small, yet growing, crowd to see if he could see Ayala. He gave a light tap on the chest to Danny, "I'm going to go look for her, man, I'll catch you later." before walking off to see if he could finally mend things with Yaya.

An assortment of dresses and heels were scattered all over the floor as it was kind of hard for Abigail to decide on what to wear for tonight's event. She sat on the edge of her bed for a minute as she tapped her chin with her index finger then snapped her fingers as she jumped up and waltzed back over to her closet. Abigail grabbed a box that she has yet to open and placed it on her bed then opened it as it revealed a black dress. A soft smile came over her lips as she knew that was the dress that was going to adorn her body at tonight's event.

After she cleaned up her room and placed everything back into its place then grabbed a pair of heels to match her dress, she showered, did her makeup and even curled her hair. She had gotten a manicure and pedicure yesterday but got the clear coat polish, so that was one less thing she really had to worry about. As she was getting dressed, her phone chimed as she raised a slight brow, wondering who could be texting her at a time like this. With her dress not even zipped, she walked over towards her phone that was on her nightstand and saw that it was a text from Yuda. Her eyes read the message and she squealed a little bit, so excited to know that Yuda was attending the Alumni event tonight.

To: Yuda
That makes my heart happy! Can't wait to see you tonight!

After she sent that text, she placed her phone back on the nightstand and zipped up her dress, finally. Abigail then sat in a chair to place on her heels as she then stood up and walked over to her floor mirror and reviewed over herself. After she gave herself a nod of approval and doused herself with a few squirts of her perfume, she grabbed her black clutch purse and cell phone then wandered out of her room and saw some of the girls still getting ready. Abigail managed to slip outside without being seen as she forgot to grab her pearl necklace for the night.

"Oh, shoot." She thought to herself as she opened the door back to the house and it seemed like all eyes were on her as most of the girls commented on choice of wear. She thanked them as she waltzed back up to her room and grabbed her pearls for the night as she took her cell phone out of her purse to send out a few texts.

To: Ben ♥
Hey there. Save me a dance tonight?

To: Daisy
Hey there, girl! Have you left yet? If you haven't, want to ride together?

To: Ya Ya :)
Where are you? Didn't see you in the house. At the event already?

To: Archie :D
Hey there. Tell me that you're going to the Alumni event tonight.

After she sent those messages, Abigail walked out of her room again and back the stairs as she once again walked out of the house. She decided to take a seat on the porch and wait for Daisy's text before she made any more moves.

"Holy shit," Nick practically choked on the shot of tequila - hopefully, his only one as he anticipated being the driver for the majority of the night, regardless of how responsible Amaris could be - and fumbled to set his shot glass on the kitchen counter top upright. Amaris' newly painted deep red lips curved into a light smirk, though he detected their uncertainty and nervousness, at his antics...but was this really his fault? Amaris had told him before how at odds she was on what to wear once she had gotten his attire situated, but she usually had things like that for herself under control. So, he had assumed that she would go with the pink number she had picked up on her derail to New York with him over the summer before leaving for Spain for her internship. Definitely not the curve-hugging red number she had sent him a picture of and had been nervous over. Amaris stepped further into the kitchen on strappy red heels, placing her clutch on the kitchen island Nick currently occupied. Nicholas gaped for a few seconds, blinking stupidly. "Mare Bear..." Nick didn't even know what to say and Amaris' brow furrowed slightly.

"Should I...should I change?" She asked, glancing down at the dress and fingering the top of the slit that lay directly above her left knee. The satiny material clung to her waist, revealing how much she had both lost and toned up within the last year. Amaris critiqued her form in the privacy of her room on most days, but even she knew what improvement was and it wasn't just in the physical. As much as she knew other girls would love her weight loss simply because it meant they could really start wearing "skinny girl clothes," she felt better. Healthier and more fit than she had been in her formative years. That didn't mean her self-conscious didn't make an occasional appearance. "Daisy and Yuda are still here, I think, and they wanted a ride. So, I could probably tell them to - " Amaris could understand the befuddlement to her attire. She wasn't typically this daring. She was typically classy, not a prude, but definitely refined in a manner that would not allow her to show off both cleavage and leg. However, as she had been upstairs finishing her makeup and getting her jewelry together, she had figured that it was senior year. She was always going to be the same, but a little difference - a change - during the final year of her undergraduate career was acceptable. At least, she thought so until Nick couldn't seem the verbalize an actual reaction. However, her inquiry about changing prompted him to storm over to her and grab a hold of her wrist. "You are not allowed," Nick insisted vehemently, hurrying up to pour her a shot of tequila and sliding the glass her way. "If I'm not allowed to change, you are definitely not allowed to even think of going back upstairs. Matter of fact, you take that shot and you text them that we're ready to go. I don't trust you right now, like, at all." He muttered something unintelligible under his breath, which made Amaris giggle, but she acquiesced anyway and threw the shot back, wincing at the burn. She had sent a text to both Yuda and Daisy a moment before entering the kitchen, along with a picture of her in the mirror when she first tried the dress on for the evening to Ayala.

To: Yuda, Daisy
Still here in the kitchen. Nick's driving my Volvo. U want a ride?

To: Ya Ya
Mason by Michelle Mason dress for 50% off...what do you think lovely?"

Once the text was sent, Amaris' eyes shot up to her friend, who looked like he was actually considering another shot. Shaking her head and easing the bottle away from his line of sight, Amaris ran a hand over her hair, allowing the dense mass of her natural curls to fall over her shoulders. "So...it's okay?" She asked quietly and Nick deadpanned. "Get the fuck out of my face, Mare. You look stunning." Her beam made him roll his eyes, but Nick smiled softly at her anyway, in encouragement, before he remembered. "Oh, yeah. Danny said you had to save him a dance tonight." Amaris snorted. She had absolutely no idea why these sophomores insisted upon flirting with her, but Danny and Archie in particular, drove her up the wall with their flirtation. It was flattering, of course, but Amaris wasn't trying to remain a perpetual state of pink, damn it! "Tell that boy he better remember when his curfew is. To grow up big and strong, big boys need to go to bed on time." Nick muttered a "Jerk!" as Amaris chuckled at her own joke, wrapping a hand around the neck of the bottle of tequila and looping her fingers into the mouths of the shot glasses. The two glasses were placed inside the empty sink and the tequila back into the cabinet, the faint scent of her Chanel perfume wafting up to Nick's nose as he text out a response.

To: Danny
She said sure. You there?

To: Ben
You at the venue? How's everything?

"If you're gonna have me here and be on your phone, the least you can do is love me on your Instagram," Amaris stated smartly and Nick rolled his eyes before shooting her a look. "You hate social media," he pointed out. Amaris sighed dramatically and saddled up back to his side, pressing into his side so that she could lay a head on his shoulder. "Just be young and dumb with me, damn it." Snorting, Nick pulled up the camera on his phone and held it over their heads to take a selfie while saying, "Just tell your girls to come on so we can go before you really start to get conceited." Amaris only punched him after she was done cheesing for the selfie, waiting for the click of the camera before executing the attack, scooping up her clutch, and then heading for the door of the kitchen while calling out. "Ladies, I'm heading out now if you're coming!"

xxxxxxx"Can we act like we never broke each others hearts?"

Yaya had always been exceedingly good at people watching. Her mother once even went as far as to say that she was named after the timid doe that she had the eyes of a fierce puma. It was on of the reasons why she made such a good writer. She liked to observe the people around her and portray a version of them in her stories. As she walked through the function she couldn't help but watch the people around her, the people she called peers. Some of them laughed among each other while others of them schmoozed amongst the Alumni, charming with them with stories of their achievements and stories of their professors.

Personally she had no interest in either. She had yet to see the people that she chose to associate with and she was in no mood to schmooze with old men who were more interested in staring at her lush lips and young supple breast then they were interested in contributing to furthering her education. She did spot a specific Beta schmoozing, Andre, and with him was none other than Cyrus's father. She felt her eyebrow raise, though she wasn't honestly sure if it was more in judgement or curiosity. She wasn't very well versed in Cyrus's relationship with Andre or his father all she knew was that there was nothing healthy about it. But then again who was she to butt in? Her own mother considered her to be a selfish bitch and was never shy about telling her about it. She shook her head lightly as if she could shake her mother out of her memory and took a sip of her drink. She was on drink two but far from drunk, not that she would embarrass the Alpha's by getting drunk at an Alumni event.

She felt her phone buzz in her hand, five messages. The first two were from Ben, one from Audrey, another from Abigail, and the final one from Amaris. She decided to respond to Audrey first, she tapped her phone quickly to type out a simple "Of course." She was honestly surprised that Audrey wasn't here yet but it made her think that she had something planned and she wasn't sure she wanted to know what it was. Abigail was next and she also received a quick non committal response of "I'm already here." The text from Amaris had a image so she opened it and couldn't help smiling when she sent a response of "You look stunning." She meant it too Amaris looked absolutely amazing in the dress. She opened up Ben's texts last and she felt a smile make it's way on her face. Her fingers tapped quickly on her screen as she typed out "I'm here." but as she was about to send it she spotted Daniel arriving and could only assume that Ben came with him.

She walked through the growing maze of people looking for him. It wasn't obscenely crowded, not like the parties that the greek system crowded, but it felt like she was moving in slow motion as she got around the people that were moving obscenely slow. Just as she made it out of the crowd she saw a passing figure that was unmistakably him. She reached out and caught the sleeve of his jacket just before he walked away and as he turned around she breathed out "I'm already here"

Ben worked his way through the crowd, lightly moving people out of their spot in order for him to get by. His head towered some of the women and some of the older gentleman that had more than likely started shrinking in their old age. Ben had no idea what she would be wearing so it even be possible for him to spot her by her attire this evening. Nonetheless, he kept looking. He knew what his girl looked like enough for him to be able to spot her in crowd. As he made his way in the maze of people that gathered and grew, Ben's phone buzzed in his pocket. He stopped dead in his tracks to pull it from it's deep abyss of a pocket. His stomach fluttered with emotions as he hoped it was Ayala texting him back. It wasn't. His body's excitement calmed. He received two texts, one from Amaris and one from Abigail. He quickly typed responses - any minute spent staring at his phone, was a minute with Ayala passing him by. He typed out 'of course, you'll always have one saved' to Abby and 'just got here now, looking for Ya, seen her?' to Amaris. He gripped his phone, not waiting for a reply for either, but rather keeping on the alert just in case Yaya walked past. He kept moving from the inside of the crowd, working his way out with hopes he'd run into her. Just as he was nearing the edge of the huddled bodies, he felt a grip tighten on his suits sleeve. Ben turned to see who was grabbing, only to hear a soft and breathy "I'm already here," escape from the mouth of the one he searched for.

The world paused around him. Everything that was moving stood still, every sound the reverberated off the walls were quiet now. His eyes laid in her big hazel eyes and Ben suddenly remembered all of the reasons he loved her, as though they were once easy to forget. His eyes wandered down her body, then back up only to rest on her lips. He wanted so much to lean in and kiss her as though they hadn't been apart for the last several months. He gazed back into her eyes. "You look beautiful," a barely audible compliment stumbled from his lips. Ben was in a trance, seeing and hearing only the girl who stood in front of him now. Her arm still gripping his suit jacket, his arm cupping her arm. Ben held her close to his body, as if he was ready to hold on forever and never let go.

Yaya sucked in a deep breath, as she watched Ben eye her lips she wanted to kiss him, she wanted to kiss him so badly but it would just muddle and confuse things between them. She couldn't, however, resist the urge to touch him and stood on her tiptoes to slide her arms around his neck. She couldn't help but marvel at how good he felt just pressed against her body. Memories of the two of them seemed to flash in her mind. Memories of him laughing warmly at how terrible she was at Portuguese, of their first date, of them lounging in bed casually and for the life of her she couldn't think of a reason for them not to be together, "God, I've missed you."

The way her fingers interlocked around his neck, the way her eyes drew him in, the way her warm breath reached just under his chin. Yaya wasn't short but she didn't quite reach eye level with Ben either. A smile broke across Ben's lips, it was the first sincere smile he's let show in months. "I've missed you too. More than you know." In this moment, Ben was unsure of what angered him to the point of separating for the summer in the first place. "Ya, I was stupid to let you go. Even for a minute." All their bad moments were locked away in Pandora's box. Ben wrapped his arms around Ayala's waist, he pulled her even closer, as though he could infuse the two of them together and never let her escape again.

Yaya stepped out of Ben's arms and crossed hers over her chest, "Ben we needed the break." She tipped her head to the side and considered her words carefully, "I care about you and I know you care about me but you don't trust me. If you did you wouldn't freak out every time a guy hits on me. You would know that no matter how many guys hit on me that I was leaving with you." She reached out and grabbed his hands, not wanting him to feel like she was rejecting him, "I want us to be with each other but I want it to be healthy. How would you feel about staring over? Going on dates and getting to know each other again?"

Ben stood back, carefully considering the words Yaya was saying. He felt a little hurt by them, but he knew he couldn't fight against them because she was only saying them for both of their best interest. A confused look painted itself across his face, Yaya moved in to grab his hands, to assure Ben that this wasn't the end, just a new beginning. Reluctantly, Ben nodded. He knew this meant he could get her back, he just needed to learn how to trust her. "Let's start over," Ben agreed, he pulled her hands in and around his waist, his hands moved her to her waist. Ben arched his neck, bringing his head down to meet her, and softly placed the first kiss in months on Ayala's lips.

Yaya smiled against his mouth, "Agreed." The smile stayed on her face as she wiped a bit of lip gloss off of his lips.

As soon as Danny and Ben arrived at the party, Ben was off. Danny rolled his eyes. Of course his friend was gonna run right to YaYa. Not that Danny objected. He wanted Ben to be happy, and YaYa made him happy... until she started talking to other guys. Then Ben would get pissed off, come to him upset, and the cycle would begin again. After taking a seat at the bar, Danny watched Ben wander for a second before spotting Ayala. It was almost funny to watch. Ben seemed to shoot out of a cannon towards the girl. Danny turned his focus elsewhere when he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He spun the bar chair around and leaned his back against the bar.

When he read the text from Hayden, he chuckled out loud. That boy was like his brother. They were close enough that Danny could laugh off Hayden's freshman year crush. The other text from Daisy left a smile across his face. He couldn't lie. She was right. She looked good in anything to him. Danny wanted Daisy. There was no denying that. The problem was that she was tight with Eliza, and the feeling he felt at this moment when he realized he had no reply from her. That muddled things, but he couldn't let it stop him from having fun. Not until he was sure about Eliza at least. He shook off the inner dilemma and went to type out his replies.

TO: Hayden
lol just get here fast.... Ben ditched me for you know who.

TO: Daisy ;)
You're right ya know ;) I'm chilling at the bar. Come see me when you get here?

The party was filling up, but Danny's friends were absent so far. He swung back around to face the bar and waved the bartender over to order a drink. As he waited he pulled out his fake ID. He'd be 21 soon, and he could throw it away. He slipped the ID across the marble bar top. The bartender took a glance and slid it back to him. These bartenders weren't too concerned with underage drinking. Danny smirked to himself before looking up to order, "I'll take a glass of Johnny Walker Blue Label on the rocks. Please and thank you." Danny slid the bartender his card. When his order arrived, he leaned back and relaxed as he sipped his liquor.

Yaya stood by Ben as she watched people around the party mingle. She felt a weight being lifted off of her shoulders and it almost made her want to go out of her way to socialize, almost. She noticed some people that she knew starting to arrive and as she looked to the bar she spotted both Daniel and Archie. "Hey I see Archie, meet up in like thirty minutes to an hour. Danny is there too if you want to head over."

Part of her thought that this would be a good opportunity to see how he did with watching her communicate with a guy that she was close to. That was their only real problem anyways. They got along amazingly besides that, hell half of the people on campus thought that they were one of the happiest couples on campus, the others didn't know them. I mean he was doting and kind, he made her laugh, they had a great physical connection, and he never judged her or forced her to change in any way.

She smiled and kissed him on the cheek before walking over to where Eliana and Archie were standing. "Well look who's here" She said sidling next to Archie and his lady friend, she nudged him on the shoulder rather than opting for a hug. She also leaned a bit to make eye contact with Eliana and she sent her what she hoped looked like a friendly smile. She made it just in time to watch the bartender hand him a drink and she eyed him in false judgement before sliding her eyes over to his friend. "Who's this?"

She turned to the girl and lifted one of the corners of her mouth, "I'm Ayala." She honestly felt like she didn't need to say who she was and that wasn't being cocky or thinking she was better than anyone but the fact that becoming an Alpha meant that everybody knew her business all the time. As soon as her and Ben took a break people were asking her about it. She bit her lip softly as she began to lose her train of thought. She wondered where to go with this "just dating but not really exclusive yet thing." If she was honest the thought of him being with someone else made her want to lose it and she wondered if that's what he felt every time he visited her at work.

She released her bottom lip and stuck her tongue out to lick it before leaning against the bar to get the bartenders attention. He came over pretty quickly and asked her what she wanted with a flirty look in his eyes but she chose to pretend it wasn't there. "Can I please get a rum and coke?" She asked with a smile. "Here's my very real and very legal i.d." She said sending a playful look to Archie.

The kiss Yaya placed upon Ben's cheek, left a soft lingering feel. As she disappeared back into the crowd, his hand moved from his side to his cheek. He felt where her kiss lingered and was still unsure if the last few minutes happened or if he's grown delusional. Ben slowly moved towards the edge of the crowd where he thought he had seen the other boys from the house gathering. He was stopped occasionally by alumni who knew his name and of the work he'd been doing within the community. He shook hands and teased and joked in a friendly manner, as though these older men and women were old family friends who never lost touch.

Ben's eyes wandered beyond each of their heads, always looking for her. He wanted to keep his eye on her, not because he didn't trust her, but because he didn't trust the guys who hung around her. Ben knew what their intentions were. Guys only ever want one thing and that's a girl - how he gets her and what he does with her is a different story. When they first met, Ben knew what he wanted. He wanted her - and eventually he got her. His intentions with her were different though. They had a connection and Ben wanted more of that; most of the guys Ben's age nowadays want nothing more than a girl they can slid into and toss aside in the middle of the night. They don't care about learning names or how her body moves, as long as they get their fill.

To keep himself from going crazy, Ben excused himself from the weighted grip of these wealthy men who held onto more than just memories of when they attended this event. He pulled his phone from his pocket, no messages. He opened the text from Abby and typed a returning message to her.

To: Abs
How about a drink before that dance? You here yet?

He slid his phone back into his pocket, worked around the crowd of old geezers that he was tired of listening to moan about 'the golden years' they experienced when they were 'young lads of the frat house.' Ben rolled his eyes and moved his way to the bar. He was just under 21 but more often than not, bartenders thought he looked old enough to pass up on carding him. He stood by Danny, who was sipping on his own drink at the bar, and ordered one for himself. "I'll take a Maker's and Ginger, thanks." The trick, Ben thought, was to not give the bartender an opportunity to even ask for an ID. It didn't stop the bartender, "ID, please, sir." Ben forced a smile, his hand slid back into his back pocket and pulled out his wallet that his girlfriend had given to him when they first started dating. He slipped his fake ID out instead of his real ID and held it up for the bartender to see. The man nodded and Ben put away his fake and wallet. Ben looked at Danny as the kid sipped on his drink, "Who're you waiting on, kid?" When Ben got his drink, he turned himself around on the bar. Leaning back on his elbows, Ben held a drink in hand while he stared out at the people crowding around the once open space. Ben sipped slowly on his drink. From afar, he could see Yaya sitting with Archie - Ben wasn't a huge fan, but he knew that if he walked over there right now and tried to interrupt whatever they were talking about, Yaya would believe Ben didn't change at all and he would lose what little trust they had started over with. It made him sweat though - right now, they weren't exclusive yet so technically anyone was free game, and that scared Ben.

She sat on the porch and watched as most of the girls were already leaving to the event. She complimented a few of them as they left but the others she just nodded her head of approval. Abigail's phone chimed and it was a text from Daisy, who stated that she was riding with Amaris and Nicholas. She didn't bother to text her back as her phone chimed again and she looked at it as it was Archie sending her a text. She read it and started to type a reply.

To: Archie :D
Okay. I'll be sure to do that.

She sent the text then looked up at Juliette and Naomi as they came outside just as an uber driver pulled up. Her phone chimed again as Yuda name scrolled across the screen. She went to type a message but looked up again as Naomi asked if her and Juliette were coming. Abigail nodded her head and muttered. "Yeah." Was all she said as she got up and started to type a reply to Yuda whenever she got into the uber.

To: Yuda
I'll try not to. See you there though!

Abigail eyed Juliette and Naomi as she smiled towards them. "You ladies look absolutely stunning." She complimented them as she looked down at her phone and saw Ben's name come across her screen. A soft smile came across her face and she started to type a reply towards him.

To: Ben ♥
Awe, you're so sweet. And yes, a drink would be nice. Everything okay?
I am almost there, riding in an uber with Juliette and Naomi.

She sent the message then turned her head to look out of the window as they drove towards the event. She was excited to get there to have a drink with Ben and to dance with him but she was mostly excited to see everyone and just mingle. Abigail let out a small groan as she eyed Juliette and Naomi again. "Are we there yet?" She sat back in her seat in a kind of impatient manner before she saw the building within the distance. It caused her face to gleam with a certain happiness as she let out a light squeal.

Abigail eyes widened whenever Juliette had asked her who was she texting. She wasn't really going to tell her but then brought up that they were all sisters and that meant something in the Alpha household. A gulp came over her as she continuously eyed Juliette and Naomi even a nervous chuckle could be heard, as well. Abigail bit her bottom lip as she tried to beat around the bush instead of answering her questions. "Uhm, what?" She responded then started to shake her head and waved her hand. "It's no one, honestly." Abigail said as Naomi interjected into the conversation, too.

Abigail swallowed hard again as she let out a sigh with an eye roll. She knew that she wasn't going to get out of not telling them anything so she might as well just tell them now. "Okay. I'll tell you guys but it must be kept on the down low." She eyed them both and pointed a direct index finger at them. She then proceeded to talk. "Well, before Ben and Ya Ya got together, Ben liked me but I shot him down, obviously. So, now that him and Ya Ya are on a break, we've been talking how we were before. It's been amazing, honestly." She opened up to them about who she's been texting and smiling along the ride. "Promise me that you guys won't say anything. Especially to Ya Ya. What I am doing isn't wrong, is it? It's completely harmless." She asked but was honestly scared and nervous of their responses but she knew that they were going to tell her how it is and she wouldn't want it any other way. "Now, if we're done here, I'd like to go inside, please."

The Kappa smiled, as the car pulled up. He took out the money to pay the person, he just had a very interesting conversation about lizards, and how people should be more like them. It was amusing to say the least, because people normally were strange in these type of things, but not like that. He would wave, and see his phone vibrated, as he smirked.

Of course I'm going to be there! And you look fabulous, I think I may need to offer my services as a bodyguard so you won't be crushed by the crowds of people that will undoubtedly fall in love with you tonight.

lol just get here fast.... Ben ditched me for you know who.

Hayden would look towards the door, and open it. Immediately he was struck with the sight of Ben and Ayala. "Hmph, cute," the male thought with an honest opinion. They were good for each other, now if he could find his own Prince Charming, that would be great. He wouldn't respond to the texts as he spotted Daniel. He would tap on his shoulder and in a more feminine voice speak, "So, um you come here often?" An immediate laugh came from Hayden, as he would move near the bar. "I'd like a Bloody Mary, the more vodka the better," the male would show the bartender, his real I.D, and look towards Daniel. "So, any woman so far that caught your eye? Hayden asked, taking a sip of the Bloody Mary he just ordered. Awaiting an answer.

The bar area became very congested very quickly. It was an interesting mix of people, including a few people that Danny wasn't very fond of. Danny noted how fast Ayala got flirty with another guy right in front of Ben. Okay, maybe she wasn't being a flirt, but still. It was almost like clockwork. As soon as things were okay, she was talking to other guys. Danny chose not to say anything though. Ben was gonna do what he wanted. Danny just didn't want him getting hurt. He smiled when Ben approached. "Who're you waiting on, kid?" Ben asked him as he got his drink from the bar.

"Daisy, Hayden... Liz, the usual. Nice choice on the drink." He nodded towards the drink in Ben's hand, placing his own in the air for a toast. The boys laughed at their faux toast, and Danny leaned back once again as he checked his phone. He smiled at the text from Liz. He was ready to see her. He just wasn't so sure what he would say. Daisy's text, on the other hand, made Danny beam. He was in a free spirit, do what I want, kind of mood for the night. Daisy was just what he needed. He shot back text to both girls.

TO: Liz ღ
I'll see when you get here then!

TO: Daisy ;)
I'll order us some tequila. Your shots will be here when you get here ;P

He turned back to the bar to examine the selection of tequila. After a minute or so of consideration, Danny settled on Patron Platinum. He waived down the bartender, "I'll take six shots of Patron Platinum... oh and keep it handy. I have a feeling I'll be needing more." Danny smirked as the bartender walked away to fill the order.

Sure enough, about the time the shots arrived, so did Hayden. Danny laughed as he heard the unmistakable joking voice of his best friend. "So, um you come here often?" Hayden laughed along with him, and the friends did their version of the "bro-dap" handshake. Hayden turned to order a Bloody Mary at the bar, and Danny bristled as he spotted Cyrus in the near vicinity. The arrogance on his face made Danny sick. Hayden's next question snapped him out of it, "So, any woman so far that caught your eye?" Danny glanced around playfully.

"Eh.... not really. I think my cup of tea for the night is on her way." He remarked back at Hayden. He didn't say who, though Hayden could probably figure it out.

Archie had managed to finish his second JD and coke (courteously paid for by his current 'friend') by the time Ayala sidled up to where he was sitting. Beaming at the girl, Archie nudges her shoulder with his own, "If it isn't my favourite girl," Then turning to look at Eliana cheekily Archie adds, "Ah sorry, I mean favourite Alpha - Don't worry El, you'll always be the Theta for me." Forgetting about the fact Amy was even still there, Archie only remembers again when the two new girls he had begun talking to introduce themselves to her. Eliana's quick wit and silver tongue had Archie's smile growing even bigger, however he wiped it off of his face to feign shock. "Damn El, save some of that dirty talk for the bedroom." He winks at her, knowing that this will only rile the Theta up more, but he loved to tease people, especially Eliana.

Watching as Cyrus comes up to the bar and pulls out a fake I.D Archie's eyes light up. "Oh shit," He whispers to himself before patting down his pockets until Archie has found what he is after. Holding it up to the light and looking at it like it was the second coming, Archie inwardly kicks himself for forgetting he had a fake I.D earlier. "Drinks are on me guys." Handing it over to the bartender, Archie orders a round of tequila shots for their little group. "You sure this isn't a fake?" With a roll of his eyes, Archie lets out a sigh, "Wow yeah you got me, 100% fake," Shaking his head, Archie hands the card over to the bartender with a blunt "Scan it then." Thanking heavens that he paid that extra ten bucks to get his to be scannable.

"Alright." The bartender relents, having scanned the I.D and it coming up as real, he turns around to get them all set up, giving Archie some time to talk to the girls again. "So, was that you I saw kissing Benjamin earlier?" He asks Ayala with a smirk, "You going back to basics huh?" Despite knowing full well Benjamin was also stood just a few people down at the bar with Daniel, Archie couldn't care less. However, his eyes did linger over Ben's group as Archie caught sight of Daisy. Not speaking but instead communicating with the girl via a wink, Archie raises his glass at her before looking back to Ayala.

A sigh, and Archie turns his head to look at Amy again, having once more forgotten she was even there. "I'm just gonna go.." She mutters, clearly pissed off that Archie was a) surrounded by a load of girls, and b) spending more time talking to said girls rather than her. "Aight," He replies, not particularly caring but pretending to, "Catch up with me later if you need a ride home." Unable to help himself, Archie has to slip one more little flirt in there before Amy turns tail and walks away from him, seemingly still pissed yet not able to hide that little smile that crossed her face when Archie spoke.

As Archie watched Amy walk off, his eyes glazed over Naomi stood just by the doorway and his heartbeat quickens for a second. Shaking it off, he tries to focus on the others in front of him, they were easier to understand. He'd happily sleep with both Eliana and Ya Ya if they wanted him, but at the same time Archie was also chill just being friends. With Naomi, however, it was different but Archie couldn't quite place his finger on how.

Try, and failing, to refrain from texting her, Archie can't help but shoot off a quick text while he waits for Ayala's response.

To: Omi
I doubt I'm the first person to say this to you tonight - and I definitely won't be the last - but damn Omi, you look amazing.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Danny and Ben made small talk while it was just the two of them. His glass dinged against Danny’s and the boys laughed at their joke toast. Ben wasn’t incredibly close with Danny, or the friends he listed off from his wait list, but he was close enough to delve into conversation with them whenever they were around. Of course, Ben respected the kids for the effort they put into these events and into the frat, but in all honesty, Ben couldn’t be bothered making deep connections with many people anymore. Not because he didn’t care about people, but more so because he reached his limit on how many people he can give attention to at once. He was a people person indeed, but a guy can only take having so many deep connections with people before it exhausted him. He blamed it on the stress that came with the break from Ayala.

Ben knocked the rest of his drink back into his mouth, expanding his cheeks to hold the liquid while he slowly drinks the stinging liquor. He lifted the empty glass in a gesture of gratitude to both the bartender and to Danny. Ben quickly pushed the rest of the liquids in his mouth down into his stomach, and he sharply exhaled. Hayden had snuck up behind Danny just seconds before, and as Ben was readying himself to walk off, he tapped both boys on the shoulder, “Boys, enjoy yourselves tonight. Just don’t embarrass anyone,” and with that, he was off. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, Ben sent a text to Abigail.

To: Abs
Girl, where are you??

Abigail looked at Juliette and shook her head. "It totally is harmless. We haven't done anything but talk and text." She muttered as Juliette said that she was going to keep quiet about it, Abigail gave her a firm nod of the head and chuckled when she said that she was going to look for Naomi a special someone. She remained silent for a little while as the vehicle finally came to a stop, she had pitched in her amount of money to pay the driver and got out of the vehicle first. Abigail straightened herself up and her clothing then turned to face Juliette and Naomi. "Remember, not a word." She muttered towards them as she turned heel towards them now. "I'll see you guys on the inside." She said as she started her small trek onto the inside, her phone chimed twice in her purse. It was Maddox and Ben. She shook her head at Maddox's text but couldn't help but smile at Ben's text. She started to type a reply towards them both but was stopped at the door. Abigail showed the proper items and was admitted inside.

To: Maddy
LOL. I just walked in, love. I'll search for you later. ;)

To: Ben ♥
I am looking for you. Are you still by the bar?

She sent those texts and squinted her eyes as she looked for Ben and tried her best to avoid anybody else before then. It wasn't anything personal but she knew if she'd talk to anyone else before Ben, she'd engage in a long conversation with them and god knows how long they'll talk and who else would interject. Abigail checked her phone repeatedly as she really hoped that Ben would text her back sooner rather than later.

Abigail needed to talk to him about what had just went down but maybe he needed to talk to her, as well. She didn't really bother to think about it but knew that if something was going on, Ben would definitely tell her.

To: Abs
I’m headed towards the door, did you just walk in?

Ben texted Abby as he looked for her. As Ben walked, he did his best to keep his eyes peeled away from Ayala and Archie. The last thing he wanted to do was set himself off. He couldn’t help but peek back occasionally at the girl he claimed to be the love of his life. The sight of Archie so close to his girlfriend – or not girlfriend – made him hot with anger. Benji redirected his attention to looking for his friend, Abigail. He wasn’t sure if the girl thought they were more than friends or not, though. They had once been more than friends, but things changed. Though, now they’re all changing again. Ben and Ayala were on a break and he and Abigail rekindled a bit of that fire they used to have.

As Ben made his way through the little clumps of people, he spotted Abby. Abigail managed to move herself through the sea of people before her as her eyes were directed towards the bar. Her phone chimed in her purse once again as she just waved it off as it couldn't have been Ben since she was on the move towards him. He smiled and strolled up to her, one hand in his pocket, with confidence. “Ab,” He put the one hand out that wasn’t in a pocket and offered it to Abby. Her ears twitched when someone said one of her many nicknames and it was Ben, standing there with one hand in his pocket and the other extended out towards her. Being her, Abigail didn't bother to give him a handshake but a hug instead as she gave him a light kiss on the cheek with a little chuckle. Ben pulled her in to give her a hug and light kiss on the cheek. “You look beautiful.” Ben pulled away from her slightly and looked her up and down, smiling.

"Thanks. You look handsome." She complimented him back as she looked up at him. "So, what's up? I know I am late to the party. Did I miss anything new or exciting?" Abigail asked him as they stood there in the middle of the doorway. She pushed herself and Ben, of course it had no effect, out of the way so that they wouldn't be in the way of the stragglers. While she waited for Ben to respond to her, she whipped her phone out really quick to send out some messages and even read Ben's text, which didn't matter now.

To: Archie :D
Hey! I am here by the door. Talking to Ben.

To: Yuda :)
You here yet, girl? I want to see how stunning you look.

Ben shuffled his feet to the side as Abigail attempted to move the stoic man from the center of the doorway. Abigail had pulled her phone out to check her messages. As she did so, Ben responded to her. "Typical college shit. Ya and I may or may not be back together. I don't know," Ben shook his head and ran his hand over his hair. ”We're sort of doing this 'non-exclusive dating, getting to know each other all over again' thing. I don't really know what it means, but yeah." Ben put air quotes around his words and shrugged, he sported a humble smile to hide the pain he felt from it. "Neither new, nor exciting. How about that drink though?" Ben's humble smile stuck on his face as he extended his elbow for Abs to grab onto so they could walk to the bar together. "What about you Abs? Holding out for someone special tonight?" Ben knew there was a fire between them, but he knew not of her intentions. Perhaps tonight was the night to explore, Ben thought.

Abigail placed her phone back inside of her purse and gave Ben her full attention. She nodded her head at the words that came over his lips and even did a few expressions with her face. She didn't know how to take the whole him and Ya Ya might or might not be together sentence though she did like Ben but don't know if she would ever date him. Abigail shrugged her shoulders at the thought then looked at Ben as he held out his elbow. She took it, of course, and chuckled at his question as they waltzed over to the bar.

"You know me better than that, Ben." She commented as they made it over towards the bar. "I'll just have an Iced Tea, please." She said towards the bartender then looked back over at Ben. "But to answer your question, no. I am not giving up anything tonight or in the near future. You know should know that." She responded towards him as the bartender came back with her Iced Tea.

She thanked the bartender and handed him a ten dollar bill and told him to keep the change. "What about you, Benji?" Abigail asked as she took a sip from her tea then eyed him. "Are you holding out for anyone?" She continued as she slurped on her tea a little bit more.

Ben leaned on the bar as the bartender came over to ask for orders. "Another Maker's and ginger," He turned his body to lean against the bar facing Abigail; behind her head, was full view of Yaya. Ben peered over Abigail's shoulder momentarily. He noticed Yaya paying full attention to the men that surrounded her. His stomach felt like it was a bottomless pit.

"Well, you never know. Maybe you'll find someone that you like enough to have a little fun with," Ben smiled at Abi but thought of Yaya. Ben turned his attention back to Abigail and took a sip of the drink the bartender handed him and slipped the gentleman his card, telling him to keep the account open. "I've got someone in mind," Ben smiled slyly at Abigail and winked at her as he moved the drink back towards his mouth. "I guess, tonight will be a night of mystery in regards to who goes home with who." Ben teased.

Abigail nodded her head at Ben's comments then looked at him whenever he said that he had someone in mind. "I bet its Ya ya." She muttered as she played with the ice inside of cup with the straw then looked back towards him. The last comment of his threw her off a little as she shrugged her shoulders with a smile, her gaze went back towards him. "I guess but we shall see." She chuckled then left her cup on the counter as she sighed a little bit. "So, I have some more people that I need to see. But don't forget to save me a dance, stud." She said as she kissed his cheek again but waited for him to say something else before she would walk off.

Ben furrowed his eyebrows to the mumbling Abigail let spill just loud enough for Ben to hear. He didn't respond though because he knew she wasn't all wrong. Yaya was the girl Ben had in mind but Abigail wasn't necessarily off his mind either. He had a crush on her long before Yaya was in the picture, she was just always the one to shoot him down so eventually, he had to move on. Ben downed his drink in a gulp and ordered another one - tonight was going to be a long one.

As Abigail moved in to kiss Ben on the cheek, he grabbed her around the waist, pulling her into him. Ben left a kiss on the edge of her neck and jawline. He released her and stepped back a bit to give her space. "And see, we shall. I'll come find you for that dance." Ben's smile was playful and flirtatious now, almost seductive. Ben winked at the girl and walked off, letting Abigail take in the moment and giving her the opportunity to see her other friends. Ben made his way towards the far end of the pool, where he sat with his drink in hand away from the ever-growing noisy crowd.

Ben's last actions stunned Abigail right where she stood. She was completely frozen as she watched him walk away after a wink. She didn't know what to say or how to respond as she stood there with her mouth opened slightly. After the display that he just showed, she wasn't sure if she wanted to dance with him now or not but she was taken away from her thoughts by the ping of her cell phone within her purse. It was Ya ya. Just what she needed.

To: Ya Ya :)
We're here, girl. I'm close to the bar. Where are you?

She sent the text then started to type a text towards Archie.

To: Archie :D
By the bar. Just FYI.

She then sent that text and just stood over by the bar, waiting to see who was going to approach her first as Ben's actions still plagued her mind a little.

As much as he understood how important it was for her specifically to network, epecially with her being a president of a Greek organization and all, Nick honestly felt like he should have met Amaris wait for him. At least, made her enter the place with him. That way, she could take up all the attention - she was radiant tonight, more-so than she normally was - and Nick could slither away to get them drinks while she worked crowds and various one-on-one conversations. Because right about now? He was convinced that he either looked a mess and Amaris had just been trying to be nice earlier, or someone else important had walked in beside him. Not that everyone got stares of some kind when they walked in and either ignored it or reveled in it. Because that didn't exist to him, which was why he ended up having a conversation with Amaris. It didn't exactly end on a note that he would have liked, sure, but it did prompt him to text a few of his Kappa brothers to see if everyone had made it and if they were about. After all, some people didn't feel like fulfilling her best friend responsibilities.

To: Hayden, Danny, Ben
Where is everyone? I'm headed out to the pool.

Nick followed one of the side doors he remembered from originally visiting the venue some time in the event's earlier conception days and was surprised immediately by the sight of an old friend, Jessie. Jessie had graduated last year and had gone off to do Teach For America for a year since participation could help offset the financial strain of graduate school. The two had grown comfortable with one another in the time they had both been Kappas. It probably helped that it was Jessie who had even introduced Nick to the rest of the Kappas and the idea of Greek life. The fact that they had slept together prior to that discussion was a topic Nick didn't like dwelling on too much. He had just been thankful that they had kept it between the two of them. And especially that Jessie hadn't become his Big. Nick wasn't sure how he would have handled that situation. "Jess! I didn't even know you were coming back," he exclaimed once they both pulled away from their hug. The older man grinned widely, chuckling to himself. "Figured I'd surprise you guys and all. Chicago's kinda cold this time of year and I missed my Florida people. How've you been?" Nick couldn't help but grin in response. "Good, great even. I was just about to go look for Ben or one of the sophomores." It seemed possible that Jessie's grin widened even further. "Let me go get us drinks and we can look for them together. We can catch up in the meantime." Nick nodded only too quickly, reaching into his pocket once more to pull out his phone once he heard the ringtone for another text message. "I'll wait here." Once he saw the other man off, Nick glanced down at his phone, not even able to stop himself from practically beaming upon seeing a response from Weston. He couldn't even tell if it was relief that things weren't...awkward or elation that he was being acknowledged that had him smiling so hard, but either way he couldn't help but feel some inkling of satisfaction that Wes even text him. The fact that there was a compliment and a seeming desire to see him was just a completely different story and a host of butterflies in his stomach. It was only a second later that the smile dropped and Nick searched around himself, for Hudson in particular or just a Beta who had known the situation, he couldn't say, before going back to the message to type out a response.

To: Wes
Pretty sure you're looking dashing somewhere. I'm outside, near the pool. Ran into a Kappa alum. Where are you?

Was it common knowledge that Mickey was the queen of denial? Because she was - even if she didn't want to admit it. After all, who else could deny so adamantly the fluttering in their belly the second a familiar voice and hands reached them? Only Michaela and she would deny the feeling to the ends of the earth if she had enough weed in her. No alcohol, alcohol made her say stupid and honest things. It wouldn't, however, bereave her of the elation that bubbled forth and formed a grin on her face at the sight of Charlotte Arnault coming up behind her. After all, they were friends - this was her best friend. And after basically being told that they couldn't hang out (even though Mickey made a point of continuing to do so just because what the fuck is authority?), she missed the brunette. Fiercely. A lot more than she wanted to admit. Then again, she could admit that before she would ever admit the way it felt like Charlotte's touch lingered on her side even when the girl had pulled away and was focused on both getting a drink and teasing Mickey.

"Ooooohhh, holding back spicy deets now, baby girl? Should've told me sooner, I would've packed some jammies, made it a sleepover," Michaela replied offhandedly and rolling her eyes in jest with the bartender upon Charlotte slapping down an ID and what looked to be her platinum credit card, but Mickey wasn't really focusing on the smaller details. Not when Charlotte was literally right there and so close. Her hands, as always, itched to touch, but Mickey's first instinct, even when she told herself that she should stop doing that because real friends did not flirt with their close friends, was to flirt. And so she turned to Charlotte a second later with a more salacious smirk and responded indifferently, casually, "I mean, we could still do that, if you want. I sleep better naked, anyway. Might even be a little more fun that way, don't you think?." She couldn't even stop herself from winking at the brunette before returning her attention to the bartender. "You guys do Zombies right? Well, I want two for me and my girl here. And send a rum and coke to the DJ."

In all honesty, Michaela knew that she should text Jazmyn, tell the girl to come find them so that Mickey could find some semblance of control and reign herself in. Because she was capable of it, contrary to popular belief. Except...she didn't do that. Didn't move to do that nor move to see why her phone vibrated - it was probably a response from Cyrus, all things considered - at all, not when Charlotte Arnault had the puzzling capability of widening Mickey's entire scope just so that she could encompass it all on her own. It was honestly selfish, really, especially when she looked this good. All dolled up and untouchable, at least for Michaela. Mickey bit her lip on a hum, forcing herself to keep her eyes trained solely on Charlotte's (and nope, they didn't dip down to the girl's lips at all, thank you very much). Which meant she had to keep talking, if only to get a response out of Charlotte, since the other girl could get a response out of Mickey with little to no words (so unfair, by the way). "But, since we're being all honest and sharing news, Miss Arnault, I must admit that you were correct about one thing," Mickey stated and ignored the voice in her head that said her voice should not be that low or silky. She wasn't trying to take Charlotte to bed, right? Of its own volition, her left hand switched her phone to her right so that it could reach Charlotte, thumb grazing where the girl's pearl earring was connected to her earlobe, reveling in the feel of the encrusted diamonds against the pad of her thumb along with the soft skin she shouldn't be touching pressed against it, while continuing, "I was feeling quite neglected. Horrifyingly, so. Lonely, even. In fact, the only way I can think of you possibly making it up to me is not leaving my side for the rest of the night. You know, just in case I get a little too needy and need my fix. Addiction is a hard thing to crack, after all."
