Fanndis closes their eyes visualizing the lay of the land in his head. “The west needs more guarding then the east…” he mutters as he finds the Captain, “Captain focus some of our archers on the west, on the east we are near the ocean that should deter them.” He explains as he nods his head relaying the order. “Your highness you should go-“ he starts to say as he shakes his head.
“I will not go back to my castle to hide! We are in a war and I can help, even if it is only providing ice and snow to slow them. If we can delay them for a few days we…well the Kingdoms meeting is coming up! Every leader is needed there…and maybe during that meeting I can find a way to end this war for good.” He explains his head held high as he goes to the infirmary for a bit and helps out there, comforting the soldiers who are too far gone for help. Promising to tell their loved ones they fought valiant and that they would be taken care of.
“…So much death…” he whispers as he walks out of the tent watching the doctors go about their work. “I hate that our country is the cause of all this…I curse your name Aage.” he thinks to himself as he clenches his fists. If their last king had been just than none of this would have happened! He would have better control over his power and he could be a King not a Queen.
With a shake of his snow covered hair he wipes that thought away. “Do not be distracted…think…if I was the Y ddareans what would I do now? Where would I strike?” he mutters as he looks at the ice wall. “Wait…” he looks at the doctors. “Be still and silent for one moment please.” He begs them. They nod their head, obeying their Queen.
Fanndis listens closely, hearing the sound of battle, steel clashing against steel the pained screams and the dull thuds, but…something seemed to be missing that had filled the air before.
“The catapults have been silenced…” he whispers. “Why? That was one of their advantages…” he mutters. “And they do not lack for ammo.” He says as he waves his hand allowing them to continue their work.
He goes to the captain, “What is their formation like?” he asks. “Your wall has protected one side, The Y ddareans that have made it through are spread out but are strong enough to keep us busy on the remain fronts, my Queen.” He offers him, “Now go back into the back and help with your magic, you are a hindrance.” He coldly says as Fanndis nods and goes back to their former position in the back, trying to feel their magic flow through them.
His concentration is broken as he turns around at the sound of someone yelling at him over the winds and snow, the sound of slicing flesh made him open his eyes as he turns around to see a Y ddarean falling some of the men.
He steps forward towards the Y ddearan as his guards try to stop him.
“You attack my country with a massive army, at a time reserved for festivities, sneak into the back of my army, kill innocent men and women merchants of my kingdom and you dare call me a cowardly Queen?” he asks, his voice regal as he tilts his head up, his steps measured and his hands resting on his lap gracefully.
“So, I will ask you General, for that is who you must be, are you challenging me to a duel?” he asks calmly, the wind around the two surprisingly calm. “If so I know how that will end…” he remarks, his mind going through the options he had available. The Y ddarreans had a code of honor, though one different from theirs of course...and if he did not draw his weapon hopefully the General would not attack...if this truly was a challenge for a duel. He hold his hand up to stop the guards from attacking him, hoping to spare their lives.

“You attack my country with a massive army, at a time reserved for festivities, sneak into the back of my army, kill innocent men and women merchants of my kingdom and you dare call me a cowardly Queen?”

Feng grinned impishly as he was approached by the Isen Queen. When she spoke out to him, he threw back the hood of his animal skin armor (an ironically pure-white wolf's head which was heavily bloodstained) and gazed at her with eyes full of bloodlust.

"Yes!" He answered simply, his own rough voice bellowing across the icy winds, "You are cowardly because instead of facing your enemy, you run and hide like an animal." He laughed in her (proverbial) face as he continued, "Look! Your men and women fight with honor, and yet here you stand-" He was interrupted for a moment as a random soldier charged at him, prompting him to dispatch the attacker by throwing a hand axe into the poor man's face. The soldier fell at his feet. "-doing nothing!"

The Queen's composure, however, didn't seem to budge- in fact, she went on just as calmly as if she had been speaking about the weather. That aspect of her might have been rather admirable if it hadn't been so damn annoying.

“So, I will ask you General, for that is who you must be, are you challenging me to a duel?”

"Well, I didn't come here to cuddle." Feng found himself blurting sarcastically, stepping over the dead soldier's body in order to get closer to the Queen. He took a leisurely moment to stop and pull out the small axe with a grisly squelch, blood splattering into the air as he did so. Once was done, he began to match the Queen's measured steps. Eventually, he was only but a few feet away from her.

“If so I know how that will end…”

Feng smiled at her in response, his deceivingly playful grin showing only a hint of the annoyance he was feeling. So now she was all-knowing, great. If he didn't like her before, he sure as hell didn't like her now.

Did he want to kill the b*tch? Yes. Yes he did. So, so badly.

Was he willing to sacrifice his dignity and honor for it? Unfortunately, no. Even he was smart enough to know better.

"Face me, Queen! If I win, perhaps that pretty face of yours may yet come to be of use~" He bluffed, attempting to provoke her with an obvious innuendo. Why hadn't she even drawn her weapon yet? He couldn't do anything if she refused to fight him. Hopefully, getting her riled up would do the trick.
