Introduction
Bruce Wayne had been making a difference. As the caped crusader he'd been bringing order and justice to an otherwise depraved and crime ridden city. As his normal self Bruce was making billions of dollars and using the money to help the poor through the Wayne Foundation. The Wayne Memorial clock tower -- an iconic building named after his deceased father -- was being renovated in Bruce's honor. They were building on five more floors which would make it the tallest building in Gotham City.
The day Bruce Wayne was killed, things took a turn for the worst. Competing crime families took hold of the city. The police now work for the highest bidder. Drug and prostitution rings no longer have to hide in the shadows. Lunatics from Arkham Asylum have been set free. The very rich, as always, have found ways to profit from the chaos. The middle class pretends like nothing is different; if they try to speak out they could become the next victims. The very poor either have to turn to petty crime, or starve in the streets.
You're a citizen of Gotham and you were a huge fan of the Dark Knight. The day he died was one of the saddest in your life. The upsurge in crime has effected you personally. One day, while you're nostalgically surfing some of the old Batman fan sites, you see an interesting message from another user:
"Batman is dead but as long as there are people willing to fight for justice his mission will live on. I refuse to sit by and watch criminals and thugs destroy OUR city. If you feel the same then join me at the Knight's Castle (the 151st floor of Clock Tower).
~Knightmare"
It was well known that the Clock Tower only had 150 operating floors. The additional five floors (151 to 155) were built but still unfinished on the inside and off limits to the public. The extra floors were originally built to be the cities most expensive apartments. The rooms are large and have nice views of the city, but there are exposed pipes, rough concrete floors, unpainted walls, and no furniture. Ever since the death of Batman the construction project had been completely abandoned and the floors had been sealed off. These floors, high above the streets of Gotham, will soon be your new home. Grab a duffle bag, pack light because you're sneaking in.

Re: [OOC] Gotham City's New Knights
Don't sweat it;
Looking forward to the intro, reckon this could turn out to be a decent RP!
Re: [OOC] Gotham City's New Knights
Slight delay on starting this one. I had a problem and wasn't able to be online as much as I thought. Other stuff takes precedent but I'll definitely have the first post up by tomorrow night.

Re: [OOC] Gotham City's New Knights
Edit:
On second thought someone else is using an animated character, so you can go ahead and use any pic you want. It's not a big deal.

Re: [OOC] Gotham City's New Knights
Also on GMT here, so there'll be at least two of us on the same time zone, reckon we can work around it :P
Will get a bio up in a bit!
Re: [OOC] Gotham City's New Knights
Robin: I think we can work around the timezone problem.
I added a bit of extra info to the intro:
The extra floors were originally built to be the cities most expensive apartments. The rooms are large and have nice views of the city, but there are exposed pipes, rough concrete floors, unpainted walls, and no furniture. ... These floors, high above the streets of Gotham, will soon be your new home. Grab a duffle bag, pack light because you're sneaking in.
And the character sheet

I'm going to have one of my characters up later tonight. I'm probably going to have 3 in all.
Re: [OOC] Gotham City's New Knights
Why not, I'm in!
EDIT: Forewarning, I'm british, so timezones might decide I'm their worst enemy.

Re: [OOC] Gotham City's New Knights
I'm going to add more to the introduction post a little later. Just so you know I'm thinking the characters could be in their late teens. The plot would be about their struggle to survive and to make a difference in the process (though neither will be easy). The heroes would all come to live in the Knights Castle early on.
