Mysteries surround many things in the world, and no segment of the globe is free from this truth. Even the most seemingly unimportant places have history to them, sometimes these stories of a past are dark, while other times they are inspiring. The Lobelia Islands are no exception to this. Left untouched an uninhabited by people for many years, the islands were only rediscovered and populated again about a century ago, people took interest in the area due to is beauty, and for the fact that it seemed to have rather interesting ruins upon it; signs of an ancient people. However, as these ruins were explored, it came to be blatantly obvious that something was wrong with the places left behind by the people who lived there. This was the fact that there was no sign of those who once inhabited the islands, nothing to indicate that they even existed; no skeletons or anything. . . . It was just as if they did not exist.

Though this was questioned and investigated, no conclusions about this were ever reach, and, as such, the mysteries of the people who once lived upon the Lobelia Islands became of little thought as the islands came to be known only as a resort destination, and for its one metropolis, Bellflower City. . . .

It was only recently that the islands have come back to be known as a topic of general conversation, not due to the mysteries surrounding the ruins and what happened to the people who once lived there, but instead regarding the PokΓ©mon which inhabit the area. There are only one-hundred and fifty one kinds of documented PokΓ©mon on the islands, hailing from the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova respectively. Now, what makes these PokΓ©mon so talked about, so special happens to be the fact that in some of them . . . things are different. They are colored different, or are of abnormal size, etc. . . . In the news of this, trainers had flocked to the islands from all over, looking for these unusual PokΓ©mon.

While these people might just be looking into expanding their own collection of rare PokΓ©mon, there may well be unintended consequences. With so many people coming to the islands, things are bound to happen, encounters are to be had here unlike other places, and the mysteries that once permeated the topic of the Lobelia Islands may well become known once more, and awaken from the darkness of their slumber. What happens from here is up to those who are brave enough to step into the unknown to unlock a lost truth. . . .

Mellko's BTC (Breeding and Training Centre)

Mellko's BTC (Breeding and Training Centre) by RolePlayGateway

A quaint place just north of Bellflower City, the Mellko Family runs the famous BTC of the island. It may not look like much, since the house sticks out on a hillside, but the yard behind it stretches all the way to the beach. It's range of landscapes help keep pokemon of all types happy, yet the property isn't too big that they have lost many pokemon. The Mellko family who reside there are very amiable folk, who strive to appeal to not only the pokemon they take care of, but the people who go through the area. However, business has been on a slow decrease for unknown reasons, and it doesn't help that their only heir to the property has left home...

The Lobelia Islands

The Lobelia Islands by Jakuri-chan

A small collection of islands that are reputed to possess many stories and legends of the past, scattered along these islands are hidden ruins and relics of an era long since forgotten by the present. Hiding upon these seemingly cheerful and paradise-like masses of land are dark mysteries and mythos which are better left to the past. . . . [Look inside for more details and a map!]

Anemone Island

Anemone Island by RolePlayGateway

The largest island of the collection, it holds to it the most noteworthy sites and places, including the resort metropolis known as Bellflower City.

Begonia Island

Begonia Island by RolePlayGateway

The remnants of a once-very large volcano. Having collapsed into itself long ago during a past eruption, what now remains is a crescent shaped mass of land that still produces lava. Because of how it is the land reshaped itself following the large scale eruption in the past, one is able to walk along the rim of the crater remnants to gaze down into the bowels of the earth to see it belching up magma.

Delphinium Island

Delphinium Island by RolePlayGateway

A reportedly dangerous island. Upon it are two freshwater lakes and a rather deep and foreboding jungle. Despite the fact that there are reports of rare Pokemon inhabiting the jungles of this place, many trainers are not courageous enough to brave the thick foliage in order to seek them out . . . and for that they cannot be blamed. There is not a single human soul who consistently inhabits this island, as such it is mostly untouched, with no traces of human life to be found but for a single, collapsing ruin housed deep within the jungle flora.

Mullein Island

Mullein Island by RolePlayGateway

The smallest island of the Lobelia group. Located upon it is not much of particular interest, other than the fact that the place is peaceful, calm and serene, it provides a nice change of pace for anyone who might be tired of Bellflower City's hustle and bustle. One particular thing of interest here, happens to be fact that a number of tropical wild flowers are known to bloom here year round, all over the island.

Heliotrope Island

Heliotrope Island by RolePlayGateway

An island that houses a very large, very clear freshwater lake. Nestled in the center of a rather thick jungle, it lies, home to an array of aquatic Pokemon. Beyond the fact that it possesses an unusually large lake, this island is also home to something of an unusual site as well in the way of a cavern that has to it a rather strange atmosphere.

Cypress Island

Cypress Island by RolePlayGateway

A small gathering of islands compiled together to form one; flat and barren by the standards of the other islands around it, this place is one which is known for the fact that it is otherwise uninhabited by people . . . and for its grasslands. However, lying upon the edge of the largest landmass in this little grouping happens to be a strange and discomforting place. Bearing rocks and strange formations that cannot be logically explained, this spot is eerie and unsettling, as opposed to the rather lax atmosphere of the rest of the area.

Bellflower City

Bellflower City by RolePlayGateway

A large metropolis considered by many to be sitting on the edge of paradise; it possesses all the things one needs to live in luxury, and all the modern conveniences of the world at large. Within its bounds, you wouldn't think you were on a small island that bears no other cities like it . . . it is also more or less considerably one large resort. This is located upon Anemone island, and it is the point in which all travelers to the Lobelia Islands arrive, whether by plane or by boat.

Amaryllis Village

Amaryllis Village by RolePlayGateway

A rather quaint settlement upon the side of Anemone island that could not be more opposite of its sister city of Bellflower. It is more or less lacking in modern day conveniences and most people here live rather peaceful and simplistic lifestyles, it can be harsh here, but the people make due. In itself, this place could be called a paradise of its own since it has everything one needs in order to survive. The people living here are reputed to have a wealth of stories and legends regarding the Lobelia Islands' past collected from generations of stories being passed down by tradition. Many people in this day and age though consider these stories to merely be legends, and fragmented bits of stories that came to be embellished upon as they were passed on.

Phlox Village

Phlox Village by RolePlayGateway

An abandoned settlement nestled on the side of Mt. Gelare. Nearly every building here has become dilapidated and hazardous. Why it was that people up and left this place suddenly is unknown, but there are stories of it being cursed, of people vanishing into the night to never be seen again . . . nowadays it's mostly an avoided site, but those few people who have decided to wander here sometimes have been known to disappear entirely, or to return from this place seemingly so anxious that they refuse to speak of what occurred.

The Iapetus Cliffs - Sanctuary of Coelus

The Iapetus Cliffs - Sanctuary of Coelus by RolePlayGateway

A series of sharp, steep cliff faces located rather close to Bellflower City. A dangerous place, this jagged and rather haphazard location was once a hub of interest for researchers and explorers. Located within its grasp is a ruined and desolate temple. Nothing but ruins now, this crumbling sanctuary is full of murals and hieroglyphs that no one has been able to decipher thanks to the language being one completely lost to time, and unique to the Lobelia Islands. From what people have been able to discern, however, the temple within the Cliffs was one dedicated to the Pokemon who was the embodiment of Space; Palkia. . . .

Marituma Cave

Marituma Cave by RolePlayGateway

A seaside cave where it is that people can come to simply watch the sea . . . it is notable for the fact that it provides an uninhibited viewing of the ocean and the waves which come rolling in onto the shore. Occasionally, abnormally large Pokemon have been known to show up here, whether caught by an angler or merely because of other reasons.

Temple of the Forgotten

Temple of the Forgotten by RolePlayGateway

A nearly forgotten ruin settled upon a small outcrop of land on the boundaries of Anemone Island. Known in the past for the fact that it was sealed up for reasons unknown, and that no matter what was attempted, the temple seal remained impenetrable. To this day it is unknown what lies within the walls of this place, the only clues are the fragmented bits of truth left to the people of Amaryllis Village, and those bits of truth regard the beginnings of a dark myth, which would be better to leave to mere memory. . . .

Florens Woods - Clearing of Grace

Florens Woods - Clearing of Grace by RolePlayGateway

The woods which surround Mt. Gelare, known to possess a worn and beaten pathway that happens to encircle the base of the mountain, this verdant patch of woodland also houses the easiest manner in which to ascend it. Branching off the main path is a nearly forgotten way into the deeper reaches of the forest, and into the stony grasp of Mt. Gelare. Traces of stone and ruins can be found scattered throughout the thick foliage of these woods, what they are and what they were is unknown as they are too damaged and lost to time to know. It is said that two legends can be found within this place.

Mt. Gelare - The Crystal Grounds

Mt. Gelare - The Crystal Grounds by RolePlayGateway

The snow-capped mountain which serves as the most notable eye catch for Anemone Island, it stretches high into the skies and sharply contrasts itself from dark, barren stone until it violently turns to a pure white. . . . Though there are few people who bother ascending to the peak of this mountain, it was climbed in the past to be investigated, as upon the top it lays a strange sort of altar. It appears to be carved of ice, but it is truly a strange sort of crystal that has yet to be found elsewhere in the world. Ancient stories and tales equate this place with the legendary Pokemon, Arceus.

Diamond Dust Trail

Diamond Dust Trail by RolePlayGateway

A path upon Mt. Gelare that is inaccessible from anywhere else upon the mountain but the peak. It does not lead back down to the base of the mountain, it instead leads to a dead end flat area that is still consumed by snow. Despite this fact, the misguided wanderings of a traveller would not have wasted their time in happening upon this place. There is a rather beauteous sight to behold here, in the way of the phenomenon known as diamond dust. It happens most often at night, when the moon is hanging high in the sky, all around it forms and falls to the ground for hours on end. This happening is best observed when there is a full moon.

The Vanishing Marsh

The Vanishing Marsh by RolePlayGateway

A strange bog that is often engulfed in a very thick mist. Called by its known name because of the fact that this mist seems to consume all who enter into it. This place is rather desolate, and is avoided by the few who choose not to heed the warnings and rumors about it. Just what may lie within this foggy place is unknown, even to those who have investigated it and managed to return. . . .

Lichen Port - The Hot Springs

Lichen Port - The Hot Springs by RolePlayGateway

A rather simplistic port that serves as the point of arrival for most people intent on visiting Begonia Crater. There is not much of interest in this particular place, and there are not many people who actually call this place their home, but those few who do should be noted for their pride in carving out a living in such a hostile place. Along with the locals pride, one thing to note within this Port is the natural Hot Springs which can be accessed from inside the Pokemon Center here.

The Fiamme Plains

The Fiamme Plains by RolePlayGateway

A rather flat, desolate stretch of near flat rock that stretches on into the distance. . . . This place is too hot for plants to grow, and scattered throughout it are many geysers and other such things. As reported by tourists and locals, the blurred and shimmering figure of a large creature has been seen dashing across. These stories are believed by some, and are dismissed by others as mere illusion, as simple mirages caused by the intense heat put off by the volcano.

Begonia Crater

Begonia Crater by RolePlayGateway

The crater lodged within the remnants of this once large volcano; within it the ever-active earth can still be seen in action, churning and belching up more and more magma by the second. . . . Legends and stories speak of this place having a Heatran as its guardian; though people of the modern day have never seen it themselves. But, it is said that if one were to play a glass flute, made of the lava spewed up by the volcano itself, that Heatran would show itself before the player. . . .

Celandine Camp

Celandine Camp by RolePlayGateway

A small, somewhat overgrown campsite that seemed to have been used quite frequently in the past. It has not been kept up in the last years due to the fact that so few people actually travel to Delphinium Island, and as such when it is one wants to actually use this place for a reprieve from travelling, they themselves have to clean it up a bit. This place can come off rather creepy due to its rather desolate appearance.

The Shrouded Jungle - Altar of Aevum

The Shrouded Jungle - Altar of Aevum by RolePlayGateway

A rather deep and foreboding jungle. The foliage here is so thick that it's very hard to get through it at times, and it is very easy to get lost. . . . This place is known for the fact that it is home to a deal many Bug-Type Pokemon, and for the fact that it is very dangerous due to the unusually fierce natures present in these Pokemon. It is also rumored that one of the strangest Pokemon to ever exist, roams through the thick flora without worry. . . . Hiding in the heart of the jungle here too is another secret, a very strange and almost completely overgrown ruin of an altar. According to what little has been figured out about it, it was once a shrine and place dedicated to the Pokemon who is Time's embodiment--Dialga.

The Lucid Shores - Cave of Nobility

The Lucid Shores - Cave of Nobility by RolePlayGateway

A very strange place that feels rather . . . vacant. Seemingly devoid of anything but the lapping waves upon the coast, this place makes it seem as if you are one of the very last people alive. There is, however, something quite notable here. Hidden away by the area's natural environment is the mouth of a cave, an opening into an underground grotto right in the ground. It is in this cave that two rather obscure figured have been reported.

Lake Kalliope

Lake Kalliope by RolePlayGateway

A rather sizable freshwater lake located deep within the Shrouded Jungle. Given the untouched nature of the island in particular, this lake is very clean, and clear, and possesses a rather high mineral content to its waters. Because of its purity, it is believed that a beautiful and graceful Pokemon lives here upon its shores, away from the taint of human world.

Chrysanthemum Town

Chrysanthemum Town by RolePlayGateway

A rather picturesque little place . . . although it is rather quiet and uneventful, it is beautiful nonetheless. The whole town is full of ever-blossoming wild flowers that have seemed to engulf the whole town--even the homes are encased by crawling plants and flowers. This place is particularly inhabited by Bellossom and Lilligant, as well as their evolution lines.

Coast of Tranquillity

Coast of Tranquillity by RolePlayGateway

A very peaceful beach which is quiet and relaxing to anyone seeking out such a place. Mostly untouched by people, save a sparse few tourists and perhaps a couple of visitors from Chrysanthemum Town, this coastline sometimes finds itself visited by a legend.

Protea Town

Protea Town by RolePlayGateway

Something of a tourist trap; it once was a traditional little place like Amaryllis Village, but time has changed it greatly. Now it exists only as a way station for anyone who might be seeking to visit the large lake located in the heart of the island. . . . The atmosphere here is fake and shallow, entirely created for people seeking cheap thrills and fun based off the Lobelia Islands' past and mythos.

The Capricious Waters - The Fishing Spot

The Capricious Waters - The Fishing Spot by RolePlayGateway

The large and rather lovely lake located within Heliotrope Island. The main point of interest for anyone who decides to come to the island--it is often visited by tourists. This is also home to a rather reputed fishing spot, aptly named that. . . . Rumors float around of people having reeled in rather unexpected catches.

The Shimmering Edge

The Shimmering Edge by RolePlayGateway

Named for the fact that when the sun is coming to set, it can be viewed perfectly from this beach, and at times, Krabby and other such Pokemon will wander out from their homes to blow bubbles, which are known to refract the rays of light from the sun. In effect, the glittering waters and the glistening bubbles make the whole horizon look as if it is shimmering as the sun sinks below the sea.

Shockstone Cavern

Shockstone Cavern by RolePlayGateway

A cavern that is filled with strange stones which seem to gather electricity and stores them away until they are touched. Heavily populated by Joltik and Galvantula, there are still other sorts of Electric-Type Pokemon which inhabit this place, and most noteworthy and rumored of these Pokemon is a certain beast believed to be of the element itself.

Peony Camp

Peony Camp by RolePlayGateway

Yet another overgrown campsite. Similar in atmosphere to Celandine Camp, this place is unkempt and slightly on the unsettling side. If any misplaced traveler were to try to stay here, it would require them to tidy the place up more than a bit. Seeing the condition of this place makes it pretty blatant that no one actually inhabits this little cluster of islands.

Laetitia Grasslands

Laetitia Grasslands by RolePlayGateway

A flat and rather plain stretch of land that encompasses most of the main part of the island. Due to its rather simple appearance, this part of the island is actually rather relaxing in atmosphere, and time seems to pass relatively slowly here. There are many Grass-Type Pokemon scattered throughout this place.

Ends of Green - The Twisted Rim

Ends of Green - The Twisted Rim by RolePlayGateway

Located upon the very edge of the Laetitia Grasslands is this place. It is where the grasslands come to an end and slowly turn into barren, lifeless rock along the edge of the island. As this change happens, and if one goes ahead and ventures further into it, they would soon find themselves surrounded by distorted and misshapen rocks that seem to have been made that way by forces that cannot be explained of this world, it is for this reason that this area is known as 'The Twisted Rim.' It is said too, that upon wandering too far into the Rim, one can find themselves with a constant feeling of being watched and anxiety.

Land of Stone - Refuge of Integrity

Land of Stone - Refuge of Integrity by RolePlayGateway

A stony patch of land; it is rather flat and simplistic in appearance. Upon this place there are several Rock, Ground and Steel-Type Pokemon found wandering freely, it is also here that one can find themselves wandering into a rather hidden cave. Dwelling within this cave is a supposed myth.

Evande Sterling

She could only let a soft groan escape from her throat as the incessant beeping of the alarm on her wristwatch began to go off, rousing her from sleep. After about maybe of a minute of the beeping continuing on, Evande’s opposing hand reach over and clicked the accursed thing off as she opened her eyes; which were dull with remnants of sleep. No matter how long she’d been travelling, she still hated early mornings, but early mornings were a price she had to pay in order to sleep indoors, and in a bed. . . . Regardless, throughout all of her seventeen years, there was one thing that couldn’t be denied, Evande just wasn’t a morning person, she never was and never would be. With a groan, the pinkette proceeded to rub at her eyes with her hand, doing her best to rid them of the sleep which still made them so weighty.

Mornings were horrible, her body always felt heavy, the sun was too bright, people were too perky . . . it also didn’t help that she had to worry about going through the routine of making sure that everything on her person was in order, the routine of making sure that her identity and gender weren’t discovered. Mornings just sucked. Moving her hand away from her eyes, Evande found herself staring up at the underside of the unoccupied bunk bed above her. She’d spent the night in a PokΓ©mon Center after arriving in Bellflower City the preceding day, after a long and much hated boat ride from the Hoenn region. . . . It was a damn good thing that the Centers were financed to provide services like lodging to trainers for free considering that the boat fare for the trip to the Lobelia Islands was expensive. If not for the fact that beds were free in Centers, Evande knew that she’d be conked out somewhere outside right then. Probably in a park. . . .

The only thing that did suck about having to stay the night in a PokΓ©mon Center was the fact that the beds tended to be old and the mattresses were usually so worn down from being used often that they offered no support and were terribly uncomfortable; this was a lesson Evande had learned time and time again. In the last six years, every time she’d slept in a provided bed at a Center, she always wound up with a sore back the following morning . . . and today was no exception, unfortunately for her. She hadn’t even sat up yet, and already she could feel the beginnings of a nasty backache that’d haunt her for the coming days. Why do I feel like I’d have been better off sleeping in a tree instead of sleeping here in the Center? she asked herself, sighing.

β€œWhatever, I knew what I was getting into when I decided to get a bed here last night, it’s my own fault.” With this, Evande took to trying to sit up, a grimace wandering over her face as she did so, the pain from her sore back getting to her. Free or not, the beds provided by all PokΓ©mon Centers weren’t worth it . . . they just weren’t. β€œOuch, okay I expected to be sore, but maybe not this much.” She rubbed at her lower back, looking uncomfortable as she did so.

Sighing as she removed her hand from her back, Evande simply sat there, slouching, sheets still drawn over her legs while staring into space for a moment. It was in this silence that she realized that there was more noise coming from her bed than there should’ve been. A questioning look formed over the teenager’s face as she felt that she had a pretty good idea what the culprit was. This wasn’t uncommon for most mornings as of late. Looking to her left side, right between her leg and the wall, there was a Cubone-sized lump underneath the blankets that didn’t belong there. With a dull expression forming over her face, Evande moved her hand up and off her lap and peeled the blankets up and away from said lump revealing . . . a Cubone conked out there.

The little thing was snoozing away still, despite the fact that Evande had been moving around and that her wristwatch had its alarm go off before. Evande merely stared at her PokΓ©mon for a moment before she breathed out in an exasperated manner, and ultimately wound up smiling. Micah tended to sneak out of his PokΓ© Ball a lot of night to sleep near her, and really, she didn’t mind that at all, the little guy seemed to have become attached to her like she was his mother or something. Given what happened, I guess he can’t be blamed for latching onto me like he has. . . . Evande remembered Micah’s situation, why he was with her, and not with his actual mother. . . . The recollection stirred a bit of sadness in her heart, and caused her to instinctively reach a hand down, and gentle set it on the Cubone’s little head. The gentle action was enough to rouse the PokΓ©mon from his sleep, because as soon as Evande’s hand settled upon his head, his quiet and even breathing ceased, and his body became disturbed with a small jolt.

It took him a moment, but soon enough, Evande found herself being stared at by a pair of sleepy eyes, and being greeted by a tired, β€œCu . . . ?”

It was enough to draw a gentle smile from Evande, along with a kindly voice responding with a, β€œGood morning to you too, Micah.”

Micah responded by rubbing his own tired eyes with his hands, his bone club sitting next to him against the wall, sitting up while Evande took her hand off the top of his head. Running her hand through the back of her hair, Evande kept her own smile up at him, she couldn’t help it. He really was a cute PokΓ©mon. . . . Micah hadn’t been with her for too long now, he’d been with her through the Hoenn region, but really, that was only about a year, at most. In that timeframe, the little guy had grown seCuusly attached to her; but given what had happened to bring them together in the first place, it might’ve been something that couldn’t be helped. He was a good PokΓ©mon, loyal, gentle, and he made for a good traveling companion.

Finished with rubbing at his eyes, Micah removed his paws away from his face, blinked a couple of time before looking back up at his trainer questioningly, β€œCu? Cubone?”

Of course, Evande couldn’t understand his PokΓ©speak, but, she knew her Cubone well enough to get the general sense of what he was saying to her. β€œYes, I’m staring at you again, I stare at you every morning when I’ve found that you’ve gone and snuck out of your PokΓ© Ball again.”

Micah seemed a bit taken aback at that, and embarrassed. β€œCu. . . .”

Evande laughed just a bit at his abashed reaction before she shook her head and proceeded to pat his head again, β€œY’know I really don’t care that you do that, but you always wonder if I’m staring at you, and by now I know that you know that I am.”

The PokΓ©mon’s eyes wandered back up to his trainer’s face, his expression was dull.

β€œIt doesn’t really matter does it, Micah? Why you get so embarrassed over that, I’ll never really understand . . . last time I heard, your nature wasn’t β€˜Bashful.’”

β€œCubone!!”

β€œHehe, calm down.” A genuinely pleasant smile had happened over Evande’s face at the little PokΓ©mon’s outburst, she knew well enough that Micah’s nature was β€˜Careful,’ but she couldn’t resist the joke anyway. β€œWe go through the same song and dance every morning like this, don’t we?” she asked him, her voice calm.

The question and tone of her voice threw Micah off a bit and he stared at her questioningly again. β€œCu?”

Again, Evande just gave him a happy smile, β€œIt’s a good thing Micah. Knowing that we have something like this is nice, it’s . . . comforting, because it means that we have some sense of normality in our lives.”

At those words, the Cubone simply looked at his trainer, confused. Tilting his head to the side a bit he just continued to stare at her uncertainly, he didn’t understand what she meant.

β€œI don’t expect you to quite understand that, I don’t really expect it from anyone. It’s just something I like having to rely on I suppose.”

Micah simply remained quiet toward this, as Evande had turned her head from him to gaze into space it seemed. She still hated mornings, but still, the fact that she had something of a constant to rely on in the mornings when her little Micah decided to sneak out of his ball in the middle of the night was something she enjoyed knowing she had. Any sort of pattern or anything that one could expect was a sign of having something of a normal, peaceful existence, and given the circumstances of her life, living as she did, running away from home and dressing like a boy, normality wasn’t something one could expect around every corner. I guess it is nice having that much, even if it isn’t a lot. As long as I’m with my PokΓ©mon, I can be happy. she thought before turning her crystal-colored eyes back to her Cubone, smiling at him again. β€œWell, I think that’s enough goofing off for now, don’t you? It’s morning, and we need to get ready to start the on the new leg of our journey.”

A sense of realization seemed to snap through Micah at hearing that, and he appeared to remember where it was they were, that they’d left Hoenn and were now about to begin traveling through a new place in the world. β€œCu!” he responded, nodding.

To this, Evande could only smile again before she completely drew the blankets away from her legs, and moved to set her feet on the floor, grimacing due to how sore her back still was. Okay, that’s definitely going to be with me for days. Taking in a deep breath, she got up to her feet, stretching her arms up toward the ceiling, and loosening up all of her muscles the best she could before she proceeded to go about her usual morning routine. . . . Of which included; straightening up her hair some so it didn’t look completely ridiculous before tying it up into a ponytail, making sure her glasses were on her face, making sure her breast bindings were tight and properly secure so that they didn’t slip off in an inconvenient moment and give her away, and lastly, just getting dressed in general. Today was an, of course, baggy long-sleeved red shirt that more or less hung on her body at her shoulders; the sleeves even went past her hands, and then there were the too-long and baggy jeans that had to be cuffed up around her feet. On her feet were a pair of wearing out old sneakers. . . . Just a usual day’s clothing.

After she made sure that she had herself in order, Evande found herself sighing a bit as she stuffed her clothing from the previous day into her backpack, and zipped it up before she slung it over her shoulder. It was time to start her travels around the Lobelia Islands, to find Ulric . . . but where did she begin? Where did she go first? Of course, she was going to stick with a location on Anemone Island before she went to another of the islands, but to which location did she start for today? She had options, but she didn’t really know which to take. Well . . . maybe I should try the Iapetus Cliffs? But, of course, that’ll mean I have to go around Mt. Gelare and through the Florens Woods to get to the path that’ll take me there. . . . she thought to herself.

A truly unsure look took over Evande’s face before she looked back to Micah, and laughed a bit; he was just staring at her. Probably trying to figure out what it was that she was going to do too. β€œWell, Micah, I’m sorry to say that even I’m not entirely sure where I want to go right now. But, I’ll get it figured out before leaving the city . . . oh, also, do you want to travel with me outside your PokΓ© Ball, or do you want to go back in until I stop somewhere?”

At the question, the Cubone jumped to his feet, grabbed his bone club, and headed for the door, β€œCubone! Cu!” He had his hand set on the door, ready to open it and to go it looked like; which meant he wanted to hoof it with her instead of being locked up in his ball, and that was something Evande was fine with.

β€œWell, all right then. I’ll appreciate the company.” She said with a smile, proceeding to open the door, following right after her Cubone as he quickly wandered down the hallway toward the lobby of the PokΓ©mon Center. Micah waited for Evande in front of the automatic doors before he headed out onto the city streets, his trainer following right behind him. . . .

Bellflower City was a bit of an overwhelming place, considering how undeveloped the other islands were in Lobelia, you’d never think that such a metropolis like Bellflower would exist there. But, it was more or less like any other tropical city; it lay right on the edge of the sea, it was hot and humid, and the sun was relentless. . . . The city smelled of the ocean and asphalt; and the heat of the sun made the air dance and shimmer off in the distance. Bellflower City was a nice place, but to Evande it was like every other city she’d been too, it was uncomfortable; full of people and the potential for a lot of trouble.

The sooner she was out of the city, the better she feel, even if she didn’t know where she was heading after this, anywhere would be better than the city. Evande took in a breath of the city air as she looked on into the blue sky while Micah simply took in the consuming atmosphere Bellflower had to it. After a moment of taking in the morning sun, the trainer looked down to her PokΓ©mon, and gave him a smile before she spoke, β€œWell, you ready to head out?”

In response, the Cubone gave a happy enough nod to her, and with that, the two of them started down the desolate sidewalk; heading away from the heart of the city.

Fyren Blino

Fyren jumped from the tree in a hurried manner; the Umbreon who was resting on his chest landed on the floor in a graceful, angry way. Fyr looked at Tywyll with sorry eyes who simply stared back with calm in his blood red eyes. If his Musharna hadn't eaten his nightmare without his permission, then he wouldn't have been so hyper. It was to be a lovely day, from what Fyr could see in the skies, and he jumped around happily, breathing in the air deeply. He choked, not used to such polluted air, and looked around. Buildings everywhere. To be honest, he was actually rather scared of the grey skyscrapers towering over him since he didn't even know they were buildings at first; he simply guessed from all the people going in and out.

"Oer!"

The boy had been in, or rather, near the city for a total of twenty-six hours and counting. He held an Umbreon in his arms while an Espeon rested on his shoulders. Due to the early-ish hour, his other Pokemon were snoozing in their Pokeballs, not bothering to face the morning sun. He'd learnt a good lesson the last time he'd tried to make his Gengar, Doppel, stay awake before noon and he was rewarded with a day of being tripped up and shoved by thin air. Oh, how fun it was to have a ghost Pokemon, really.

He looked about excitedly, glancing around with a childish innocence in his eyes. Avane stared at him, her boyish face melting into a smile. The only other Pokemon awake, a content looking Sableye was walking alongside his sister, who suddenly looked like she wanted to murder something precious in her life when she noticed Mira clinging around her again. Well, not like Fyren much cared or noticed, too busy jumping everywhere and asking an inexplicable amount of questions. If there was one thing Fyren was not, it was quiet.

Well, unless there were other people around. As they headed into the city, Fyren's voice came to a sharp halt and he slowed down momentarily to catch up with his sister. She wore her usual; a blindfold over her left eye and a large scarf covering most of her torso. If she wasn't wearing a skirt, it would have been near impossible to deem her either a girl or a boy.

And so Fyr walked on, occasionally turning around in annoyance at his older sister who seemed to be hanging back and taking in the sights. After all, that wasn't what they were there for. . . .

He could be here. He could be anywhere, back in his home region even, but he could have been here. Fyr told himself, checking every single nook and cranny. Tywyll, the Umbreon, let out his cry multiple times to grab his trainer's attention, and when he did he only stared at him for a few blank seconds before signalling his head to where he thought he should go.

It didn't take much time for him to be lost in the crowd.

A wave of panic washed over the boy. Even in this beautiful city, he felt worried and turning around showed him why. His sister was gone, completely out of sight. Ans he was alone in this gigantic city; the first he'd ever been in, no less. Goleuni had disappeared also, but he was probably with Diavane. Social protocol was still new to him and therefor out of the window. An old lady edged her way over to him and asked him if he was 'quite alright'. Naturally, he looked puzzled for a second before he remembered the urgent phrases his sister had told him to say.

"L-Lost!" Fyr said quickly, before scrutinising the crows once more. "Have you s-s. . . . seen and blue girl?" When he said blue, he motioned his own hair so as to help her think of his sister. The woman looked around and shook her head, looking apologetic as she gave him some sweets, although they were for Tywyll. He nodded, waving her off before prodding Ty in the stomach. The Pokemon looked at him quickly before letting out his cry and it was returned by the cry of an Espeon, getting further and further away though the city.

Fyr himself ended up on some side street, his hands undoing the soft green bandana around his eyes and retying it quickly. He planned to find a bench or something so he would stay still. After all, his father had always told him to stay put when he was lost so his sister could find him.

Thoughts and memories going through his head halted quickly as he bumped into something, completely knocking said thing to the ground as well as himself.

Not 'thing'. he thought, rubbing his back as he looked at the pink-haired individual in front of him. Human. Fyr's eyes looked at the pink-haired boy. He was dressed weirdly, though Fyr couldn't talk because he was wearing a normal black vest, though a baggy yellow zip-up jumper covered his torso and his knee length shorts were getting big since he had lost weight as they neared the city and he stopped eating as many fruits and vegetables since they tasted odder than the ones in Phlox Village and the Florens Woods.

The blue-haired boy looked over the boy in front of him and stared, before his eyes wandered to the small Cubone. He gasped quickly and his eyes widened, before shuffling on his bottom so he was closer to the person he'd knocked over. Though he'd heard about Cubones and he knew a lot about Pokemon, they were rare where he usually resided. "Hello! Did I hurt you? I'm very sorry." he said in his own, strange language. It usually seemed to calm Pokemon since it sounded graceful and the syllables all worked together to make a speech which sounded like a poem.

Tywyll jumped from his arms and sniffed the Cubone quickly, seemingly on guard of his trainer. "Tywyll, it's okay. I know you're 'careful', but it's fine." Fyren whispered, calming the Pokemon enough for him to return to his arms. He still stared at the Cubone warily and snuggled his body closer to Fyr's for comfort. He received the desired attention when the teen put his hand on his head, stroking carefully and kindly. Tywyll finally looked away from the other Pokemon and his eyes drifted to the floor. A voice behind him made him jump quickly and he turned his head slowly. His tomboy-of-a-sister was practically stomping her way over to him. Fyr's rubbed his head awkwardly before he was about to stand. The girl kicked his shoulder quickly down so he was lying on the floor trying to grab and kick at her ferociously, completely different from before. He'd hit his head, and it had pissed him off to a violent extent.

He seemed to hiss words at her which simply made her laugh maliciously, sticking her tongue out. Fyren scratched her leg, though she was wearing the dark bandages he usually wore to protect himself from injuries. His blue hair covered his face as he growled like a Pokemon himself before he calmed himself. He sat up, shooting dagger-looks at his sister while he stood and offered a hand to the pink-haired boy on the floor.

"Bitch." he spat, frowning deeply. Oh, how his good mood had been ruined quickly.

Diavane simply grinned, looking more boyish than ever. Fyren kicked at her but she jumped back quickly. "If you don't stop, I'll make you." she warned back, her grey eye showing a slightly angered spark. So he decided he had won the argument. "Excuse my brother. He doesn't know how to act around others." Avane said to the boy on the floor. She took in the Cubone, but didn't seem as amazed as her brother. Her brother who, after being split from her, seeming more interested in greeting his Espeon, Goleuni, and nuzzling his velvety fur as the Pokemon jumped onto his neck and looked at him chidingly, as if she were disappointed. The blue-haired girl sighed, turning back to the boy on the floor. It seemed Fyr still had his hand extended so she went though her bag for an outdated map which was given to her by Juren. She checked the area and sighed. Tywyll and Goleuni seemed not to react and they definitely would if their father was there. But there was still a chance. "Fyren! Apologise."

Fyren blinked, before putting his hands in front of him carefully. Making two little fists and pressed them together in front of his heart before spreading his fingers out and faced them towards the boy on the floor before he sighed and walked away, playing a game of chase with the Umbreon around the two. Avane sighed, offering her own hand to help the boy up. "That means 'sorry, thank you'."

As the sun seemingly rose in the background, Bellflower City looked quite beautiful. Too bad there were people living there...

Zachary Mellko

Those were Zacky's thoughts as he entered the city once again, Absol following behind him at all times. To be honest, Zacky never had anything against the city: he was saying the truth when he said that the city look quite mystifying every time he entered the place. Being the only city out of all the islands surrounding, it grew into quite the resort city, with its massive palm trees and luxurious accommodations that made nearly all that stopped here want to stay for the rest of their lives. Zacky, on the other hand, was the exact opposite: He was born just north of the city, on one of the only businesses that wasn't formed for luxury of humans. Instead, Mellko BTC was a hotspot for trainers that were on the Lobelia islands to relax, where they would drop off Pokemon they wanted trained, breeded, or just looked after. So, to Zach, nothing on the Lobelia islands was really all that special to him, and he couldn't wait to leave for his own adventures in the actual pokemon regions. When he had left home, he had headed straight for Hoenn, capturing and raising as many Pokemon as he could and living in a joy life. After a year, he moved onto Johto and Kanto, hitting both regions in the same year since they were side by side. Throughout the last year, he had been cruising through Sinnoh, capturing few Pokemon but defeating quite a few losers.

In reality, Zachy shouldn't have been back at all: He had planned his next trip to Unova last month, but ran into some serious problems: His Gyrados (Gyro), the only Pokemon he had that knew Surf, was becoming a serious problem due to some illness he had contracted. Or something. It took Zacky a month to deduce that regardless of Gyro's problems, he would send him back home to rest up. Now, he could have continued on to Unova without his beloved Gyro using a ferry, but Zachy was somewhat of a cheapskate and didn't think he wanted to pay a lot of money to head off to a distant land with weird, exotic pokemon. So, because of his cheapness, he was back in the Lobelia Islands, to which he dropped off Gyro yesterday at his parents house. Now, he didn't want to be noticed with his parents, or even have his parents know he was back, so he had Gryo crash through the back gate to surprise them. Zacky chuckled at the horror in his parents face when they saw a massive Gyarados smashing up the fences.

Regardless, that mean that Zac was stuck for a while until he either taught another pokemon to Surf for him - which he redoubtably could, he just was confused as to which who to train it to - or got off his lazy ass, made some money, and left himself. Neither option sounded good, as Zacky gave a sigh of disappointment. Until he made a decision, he was stuck dealing with the islands he called home, and all the locals that wanted to bug him or annoy him. His first stop was the Pokemon Centre to check his computer for his Shiny Luxray. He had just caught Tux as a Shinx, his first in the Sinnoh region, and just realized last month that his Luxray was a Shiny Pokemon. Since he had only witnessed one other shiny pokemon throughout his entire life, he couldn't really tell.

Before he made it to PC in the PC (Zac just realized how stupid that sounded...) the old man named Matteo stopped him. Matteo was an old friend of his parents who ran a spa - which was, by the way, the best experience Zachary had ever had without his toque on - and was shocked to see him back in town.

"Well, if it isn't Zachary Mellko! I haven't see your face 'round here in years!" Matteo had a bad habit of over exaggerating, one that Zac bluntly pointed out.

"It's been three, Matt. And yeah, I was gone. Exploring, and stuff." He really didn't like participating in conversations, even if he didn't mind this guy that much. Now, his wife on the other hand... she could bury herself in a hole for all he cared. Speaking of the devil, Hannah showed up behind Matteo and started rambling like she usually did. After a minute or two of listening to her shit, Zacky pounced when she took a breath.

"Yeah no, I'm leaving Matteo. I'll be by the spa later tomorrow." With that rude interjection, Zac spun around and left, Absol bounding behind him. He heard the gasps behind him of the onlookers seeing an Absol - and for some reason, some of them brought out umbrella's - as he went on his way towards the Pokemon Centre.

When he finally got inside, he rudely scared the crap out of the kid that was at the computer, and jumped on for a few minutes. By the end of it, however, he decided not to bring his Luxray with him, simply because he didn't need a bunch of people staring at a shiny Pokemon. With that, he spun on his punk heals, and the small line parted to let him out the door. According to the glances he got from the parents and kids, he looked like a freakshow/scary feller. That was fine by Zachary's standards - the fewer people that spoke to him, the more he could focus on his training and caring for more important matters.

However, as he rounded a corner, he noticed a sight that made literally no sense whatsoever to him. For starters, there was a Cubone - odd how the first thing he notices out of three weird people is their adorable little Lonely Pokemon. Zacky had caught a Cubone two years ago, but decided to trade it for every TM and HM he had, since the guy looked like he really freaking wanted a Cubone. So, for people, there was this pink haired.. dude/chick thing. Zacky narrowed his eyes, confused as to the gender of the person. Sure, it had very feminine features, but it looked definitely like a guy as well. Well, the clothing did. Ignoring the person, his eyes moved onto the kid with the blue hair and his presumable sister. The three seemed to be engaged in a conversation of some weird form, since the guy seemed to be acting like a two year old with his Umbreon, while the elder sister seemed to be talking to pink haired person. Zacky's head turned when Absol brushed up against his thigh, and he posed a question to it.

"What do you think Absol? Effing weirdos or what." Zacky whispered to the Disaster Pokemon, and she only responded with a yawn. That usually meant that Absol didn't really care, so that was a yes for Zacky's answer. He laughed a little, hopefully not loud enough for them to hear him, but he wasn't entirely sure. Though, the entire experience gave him a sense of deja vu - the last time he was watching somebody, that freaky pokemon Darkrai was watching him. At the instant thought of Darkrai, he spun around and checked all the dark corners behind him: Even if he wasn't in Sinnoh anymore, that didn't mean that Darkrai didn't follow him for some creepy reason.

Miles Calvin

Miles was really not a fan of families, but he was totally all for the sweet deals that came with staying overnight in a radical island resort. He could tolerate a hundred chirping brats and mushy honeymoon couples just for another night in that hot tub. He hadn't been the first one in it when he got there, but five minutes and a few sick jokes later, he'd had the whole huge warm pool of heaven all to himself. And no, of course his Pokemon didn't get a taste of the sweetness. Well, they got a little, but not a whole lot. He'd originally planned on keeping them stuck in their pokeballs lodged up in his room, but that changed when someone offered to watch them for him. Some sort of Pokemon daycare for owners who couldn't be bothered watching them on their trip. Although this wasn't exactly a vacation, he sure as heck spent the night like it was.

Now that it was morning, he'd sat straight up in bed and realized that he'd completely forgotten his Pokemon at the daycare. How much was it per hour? Let's see, it was...and they'd spent about fifteen hours there... Great. Great. Miles checked the clock and wondered if they counted the hour if it was five minutes till, but he sighed because he knew that there was no way he'd be dressed and ready and down at the daycare in less than five minutes. He always took forever in the mornings. Groaning to himself, Miles decided he really didn't care anymore--his Pokemon were probably already ticked at him, most of them anyway--so he took his sweet time showering and getting dressed before he finally made his way out of the room. He ended up getting distracted by a group of older girls in bikinis on his way over who thought he was amusing enough to talk to (well, after he'd knocked over a vase in the hotel hallway and pretended it was an accident), but they completely gave up on him when they realized he didn't have any Pokemon on him. He asked what it mattered, but apparently Pokemon were deal makers. Ugh. They weren't even cute.

So long story short: they weren't impressed and he did not get the girl. Or girls, rather. Poo on them, he was adorable. And hilarious. And...a total pathetic loser who couldn't even snag one kiss on the cheek by a pretty girl who was probably older than him anyway. Ugh. Whatever. People sucked anyway. After all that, he ended up getting lost in his own hotel--these things were huge!--and wandered around for half an hour, so by the time he even reached the daycare--by pure luck--another hour had passed by and they were asking for some big bucks. Apparently, the price rose after a certain hour, especially for those who wanted them to keep their Pokemon there overnight. Miles had quickly learned that whining and complaining to a cranky elderly woman got him nowhere in life besides broke. In the end, he'd finally retrieved his stupid Pokemon, who were so not worth the kind of cash he'd been forced to spend on them by the way, and couldn't get out of that stupid, cheapskate hotel fast enough.

"You guys are gonna pay for this later," he mumbled as he walked and shoved the pokeballs into the clips on his belt. "I don't know how, or when, but it's definitely happening and none of you are going to like it." The fact that this whole thing was almost completely his own fault was a hundred percent besides the point here. The Pokemon were always to blame because, well, because he said so. Pokemon were just tools anyway, right? So why should stupid tools--who happened to all be lucky enough to even be captured by him in the first place--cost him so much pain and agony? And cash? Precious, precious cash. Now he was almost totally broke and hungry. He had places to be today, too. Big places. He was going to travel through all the islands and find as many awesome Pokemon as he could before anyone else. And one could simply not accomplish this on an empty stomach.

Unfortunately, no places around the city had food that didn't cost an unnecessary fortune--stupid tourist traps--so he ended up buying as many snacks that his money could buy and eating a couple of them instead. He was still in a pretty crabby mood by the time he was ready to head out of the city, though, and he was definitely looking for someone to take it out on. The only people he really saw this far out on the city limits was a few other people who looked like trainers and he really wasn't in the mood to battle any of them, so he just gave them a mental dose of insults--especially for the idiot with the pink hair who got themselves knocked into by some weird looking creep of a kid. Not too far up ahead, Miles saw some guy who looked like a wannabe cool kid, so he figured he'd have to do. "Hey, Freak, come out here." He let the Gengar out of its pokeball, frowning in distaste as it immediately began making faces at him. "Listen creep, you're paying your dues. See that guy in the hat up there? The one with the Absol. Yeah, go do something scary. I'll watch. Maybe I can save his day or something and he'll let me join him? Who knows!"

Happy to oblige to being able to scare someone, the Gengar quickly scurried up behind the guy and disappeared the second the guy spun around. Miles paused, frowning and wondering if he was on to him, but shrugged and decided he didn't care as long as the guy still got his pants scared off him in the end. He saw Gengar appear once again behind the guy, waiting for him to turn around to show him its glasglow grin and sharp imaginary claws. This better work. If this guy isn't effected, I'm gonna be mad. So Miles hung back a little and waited for the guy to turn around.

Why do people have to be so dense? It makes it harder to avoid them because of it...

Zachary Mellko

Zacky heard some rustling behind him and frowned. The last time he had checked behind him, there was literally nobody. The streets of Bellflower could be oddly empty at times, and Zachary seemed to have caught a break when he was walking. So it was kind of odd to hear something behind him besides the soft breeze and the new noises of people waking up and exiting their homes. Zack scrunched up his nose: he hated the noise of morning people. Zach made every effort to avoid people in general, which was why he was always away by roughly 5 in the morning, so that he could get where ever he was going without the hassle of running into that 'old friend' or the 'lonely' man. He could do without all of that.

So, Zacky slowly turned around, his hand casually moving towards his back pocket as he did so. It was a precaution that had become instinctual, for when words didn't work to get people to piss off, a gun usually did. Besides, for some reason, he always seemed to attract the group of people that looked a lot like him, only they were usually obnoxious, annoying, and kept using awful slang. A Gun got rid of them too, until one of them decided to bring out a Pokemon, which really pissed Zack off.

Regardless of his emotional annoyance, Zachary noticed that nobody was behind him at all. His eyes narrowed, for he knew that somebody had made a noise behind him. He slowly turned back, ready and waiting for the perpetrator to do it again. All the while why he was waiting, he thought of every person/thing it could be: A ghost Pokemon, a creeper, Darkrai wanting to mess with him again. While the list seemed endless, those three categories seemed to be the only ones that made the most sense. Since he didn't feel sleepy at all, he could easily strike off the last point, leaving only two things. A Ghost Pokemon, this far inside the city? Probably not, unless some loser thought it would be funny to scare me. That leaves a physical person, but where would they have hid without notice?

Instantly, he heard the noise again, and instead of spinning around casually, Zachary thought of a better idea. So he pretended to go extremely rigid, and then instantly turned around and whipped out his gun with his right hand. His eyes were stone cold, not giving a crap who it was behind him. All he wanted was for the bastard to leave him alone. He had spun around fast enough that his eyes really didn't register what he was seeing - didn't help that his sunglasses were on - until a few seconds later, when he realized that he was pointing a gun at a Gengar.

Somewhat dumbfounded that an actual Ghost Pokemon was behind him, he started to chuckle a little bit at his own stupidity while the Gengar stood there, attempting to look menacing. Zachary slowly stopped laughing enough to put his pistol away, and he took his sunglasses off as well to get a better look at the thing. It was easily a Gengar, the grin was obvious. While the thing did look fairly scary, Zachary wasn't really effected by it - as a kid, Phantom would constantly scare the crap out of him with his own ghastly stare, until it slowly just didn't affect Zachary any more. Also noted is the fact that Zach didn't find Gengar all too appealing or scary; to him, they looked like puffy balls instead of Gas Pokemon.

Absol seemed to be completely unaffected by the Gengar's appearance, which made Zachary chuckle a little more. Absol never seemed interested in anything nowadays. He gave the Gengar a smirk before saying. "Nice try there, pal. You do look mighty scary, but then again, so do I to some losers." He gave a sigh before letting Phantom out of his ball. The Haunter instantly appeared and gave his customary scary look before giving up on scaring his Trainer to actually listen to what he was saying. "See, Phantom, this is why you are still a Haunter - Gengar's are a little too cute and puffy, and I don't think that would suit you well." Haunter gave a funny look to the Gengar before laughing in its own way, as if to agree with his owner. Zachary then put Phantom back into his Pokeball, and shrugged to the little thing.

"Now, If you could run back to the loser that owns you, I would appreciate that. And have a good day." He gave a smirk before turning back around, as if to walk away.

[Evande Sterling]

For a morning, even as early as it was, the streets and walkways of Bellflower City had seemed to be fairly desolate. Evande had seen hardly a soul out, human or PokΓ©mon. And in truth, that was the way she liked itβ€”solitude and quiet, few people out, fewer chances for her to get mixed up in something she wanted nothing to do with. The last thing she needed was to get drawn up into the problems of another person, if it were a PokΓ©mon then that was something she didn’t much mind, after all, people were entirely different deals than PokΓ©mon, as they brought with them the chance for her secret to be spilt, and her whole search efforts for Ulric to be ruined. . . . So, yeah, suffice to say it, she definitely had enough problems of her own, she didn’t need to go and worry about other people and whatever might be ailing them. That really was the last thing she needed.

How long had it been for her, since she’d gone and left home abruptly? Close to six years now, wasn’t it? In a way, it was funny to think it had been so very long for her since she’d become β€˜Evande Cross.’ Six years, and she had gotten no closer to tracking down Ulric it seemed. Of course, her travels weren’t wasted, she’d come to see the world and things she’d only dreamed of before, yet still. . . . In a way, how her efforts were turning out now, it was dishearteningβ€”bounding from region to region, chasing only wisps of rumors, fragmented tales of a Dragon-type trainer who fit Ulric’s description. . . . That had been her life for six years. What she had to show for it was no real progress in her efforts. Her travels had gained her experience, memories and a PokΓ©mon family she wouldn’t give up for the world, but, her brother. . . . Then, there was La too. Evande did love the PokΓ©mon with her now, with all her heart, they were all precious and unique creatures, even Lambda and Titan who seemed to hate her guts, but La had been her friend as a child, there for her when her health had deteriorated to the point where she could barely get out of bed some days.

It was probably greedy of her, but Evande wanted her current PokΓ©mon family, her brother and her La back. She wanted it all. And, until it was she had that, she wasn’t going to stop looking for her brother, for Ulric and La. With all of this in mind, with all of this true, the only thing Evande desired to accomplish, was her own goals, to worry about her own self and her PokΓ©mon. She in no way wanted to become involved with the petty problems of others; she wanted to avoid people.

Evande had gone and lost herself in her thoughts since it was that she and Micah had left the PokΓ©mon Center behind to head out of the seemingly quiet Bellflower City, and nothing this, the teenager’s little Cubone was staring up at his trainer quietly, until finally he spoke, β€œCubone?” that was enough to catch hold of her attention, and to pull her back to reality. Blinking for a moment, gathering herself back up as it was she found herself trailing down a side street that would lead back out onto a main road, Evande turned her crystal-gaze over to her little Cubone and offered the little guy an apologetic smile. She’d asked him if he wanted to travel with her today as company, and here she was going and spacing out on him.

β€œSorry Micah, I guess mama’s a bit spacβ€”!” Halfway through her apology, and Evande was cut off mid-word, by someone running right into her. The rather sudden and blunt impact of another person just straight up walking right into her was enough to elicit a loud grunt from Evande, as it was she was sent backward, falling to the hard, and warm cement of the sidewalk below. She must have hit the ground with all the force an event like that could bring with it, because as it was she found herself with air coming back into her lungs again, a loud groan came from her throat, as her face squelched up in painβ€”her back had pain shooting up and down it. Damn, th-that . . . damn! that was about all her brain could muster up. As if the discomfort she’d been feeling from that worn down PokΓ©mon Center mattress wasn’t enough. . . .

While Evande was getting her brain back in one piece, Micah was staring at her and at the person responsible for knocking his trainer overβ€”his gaze going back and forth between him and her. After another moment of making her pain verbal, Evande hoisted herself upward, sitting straight with a very unpleasant look on her face. A hand on her the side of her head, she blinked a couple of times before she realized she was staring right at the boy who’d walked smack into her. Blue hair, and the oddest getup she might’ve seen in months. In his arms was an Umbreon. There came from him a small gasp, his eyes on Micah it seemed. When it was the blue-haired boy suddenly shuffled closer to her, Evande flinched back instinctivelyβ€”wasn’t it enough he’d already slammed into her . . . ? Too close . . . ! she thought, though he really wasn’t close enough to violate the personal bubble of a normal person, he was within the proximity Evande had established for herself. And she didn’t like that. Of course, Evande didn’t know quite what to expect from this person. . . .

But, when there’s almost literally no one else out on the streets it’d seem, and the one person there is around slams into you, what can you expect? It seemed he still carried an interest in Micah, though the attention the Cubone was receiving was making him seem rather shy at the moment. He was fidgeting uncomfortably under the boy’s stare before it was the blue-haired boy spoke. Evande was expecting English to come from his mouth when it opened . . . not whatever in the hell language that he prattled out. β€œHulli! Dok I hers wie? I'm zurw sirrw.” Upon hearing that unidentifiable bit of dialogue, she found her eyes going wide, as she moved her hand away from her forehead, her pain temporarily forgotten, as she had absolutely no idea how to react to what had just been said to her.

While she just stared at him, the Umbreon in his arms leapt to the ground and took to sniffing at Micah, who shuffled himself closer to his trainer, feeling timid in the presence of the Eeveelution, it was no wonder, the Dark-type seemed to be feeling defensive. β€œTywyll, os's irauw. I rniw wie'ru 'caurufel', les os's fonu.” the boy whispered, again in that language Evande had no idea how to react to. Whatever it was he said though, it seemed his Umbreon understood well enough, as it returned to the boy’s arms, nuzzling closer to its trainer. β€œUhh. . . .” Evande was ready to try to say somethingβ€”anything at all, even if she weren’t understood by this odd boy who was now petting his Umbreon’s head.

However, it seemed that she wasn’t going to get her chance to speak as there came from behind him another person, also gifted with blue hair, seemed to be a β€˜she,’ though it was kind of hard to discern that at first. After a moment of staring at her though, Evande was able to tell easily enough her gender . . . given what she’d been up to for six years, she ought to be an expert at reading genders on people. The pink-haired girl’s eyes went from the girl, to the boy, and she blinked once or twice as the girl stomped over to the Umbreon’s trainer. Brother and sister? she questioned, They sure look enough alike. When it was the two of them went at it, wrestling one another like wild PokΓ©mon, a yelp escaped from her own throat as she moved backward a bit, something of a stunned expression on her face.

The boy’s demeanor couldn’t have been different from before, even if Evande hadn’t been able to understand what the hell he’d been saying to her, he’d seemed to be pleasant enough, polite, at least, but now . . . he was like completely the opposite. A sigh escaped from Evande as the two continued to go at it a minute more, the boy hissing words, growling like a Mightyena before he stood, and spoke audibly again, while a hand was offered to her by him. β€œBosch.” Yeah, Evande didn’t have to be an expert on whatever the language was he spoke in to know that was probably an insult none too pleasant.

Her eyes went back and forth between the two again, as did Micah’s. What to make of these two, neither PokΓ©mon nor Trainer knew for sureβ€”though Evande was certain enough that she didn’t need to be involved with them, people brought in chaos and trouble, and a couple of minutes around these two was enough to display that. Again, the boy kicked at his β€˜sister,’ before it was she seemed to chide him. β€œIf wie kin's ssiph, I'll mauru wie.” Evande simply kept herself quiet while it was the girl turned her attention back to her it seemed, the boy going off to play with a newly arrived Espeon, and his Umbreon. β€œExcuse my brother. He doesn't know how to act around others.” At hearing the girl speak English, Evande stared at her in honest shockβ€”yeah, she hadn’t expected that at all. Given that the boy and she spoke the same, unknown language, she didn’t think either knew English. . . . But, at least her suspicions were confirmed, these two were brother and sister.

β€œFyren! Aphilijosu.” the girl snapped at her brother, who retracted the hand he’d been offering to her for assistance up. In response to whatever his sister had told him to do, he managed some rather bizarre hand gestures. A sigh slipped from his lips before he turned away and turned to playing a game with his PokΓ©mon. What in Arceus’ name did that mean . . . ? Following suit, the girl herself sighed before she offered her own hand out to Evande, β€œThat means β€˜sorry, thank you.’” she explained. To that, Evande managed a nod.

I really, really don’t want to be involved with these people, that boy bumping into me was enoughβ€”any contact with other people is enough to blow my secret, and worse yet, I think the amount of force that went through me managed to loosen my bindings. . . . Evande thought with a sigh, finding a hand balling itself up into a fist as it found its way to her chest, sitting there. She wasn’t sure if her breast bindings were loose or not, if that fall had done that, then if she weren’t careful about moving for the next few minutes, her cover would be so blown. With an exhale, Evande resumed her composure; a calm and blasΓ© look formed over her features as she turned her gaze back to the blue-haired girl. She moved her hand and took hold of the girl’s outstretched one, and took her assistance in ascending to her feet. β€œYour brother needn’t apologize to me, if anything I’m as much at fault for our little run-in as he is since I wasn’t paying much attention to where I was going.”

As Evande had come to stand back up, Micah was now clinging onto his trainer’s pants leg, bone club in hand as he glanced at the girl and her brother nervously. Feeling the tug on her clothing, Evande turned her gaze down to the Cubone. β€œMicah, you’re all right, y’don’t have anything to worry about, no need to be so meek.”

β€œ. . . .bone? Cu, Cubone.” He responded, quiet. Ready to let go of his Trainer’s pant leg, Micah loosened his grip until it was the little Lonely PokΓ©mon went rigid, and began to shake. To this, Evande’s expression changed, a questioning look overtook her features and she blinked, before concern took hold.

β€œMicah, what’s the matter . . . ?” she asked quietly, before the poor little Ground-type responded with a, β€œCUBONE!!” leaping up from his place on the ground to cling onto Evande’s frontβ€”namely her shirt without warning.

β€œWaah!” M-Micah!” she exclaimed, eyes widening at her little one’s outburst. The sudden action he’d taken about knocked her off-balance again, making her stumble around a bit on her feet before regaining her footing, her arms finding their way around the Cubone who was really holding onto her too-large red shirt for dear life, quivering out of . . . fright, it seemed. Fright of what? she questioned, holding onto him. β€œYou’re okay, I don’t know what’s got you so scared Micah, but it’s okay. . . .” she consoled him. She probably didn’t look too much like a guy as she was at the moment, but there were plenty of seventeen-year-old guys out there who had motherly quirks to them with their PokΓ©mon. . . .

Still shaking in her arms, Micah let out another terrified yowl, β€œCubo-o-o-o-o-one!!” This one full of enough fright to elicit a reaction from a PokΓ©mon Evande didn’t quite expect to pop out. When it was that a burst of white light sprung forth from her backpack, forming into an identifiable shape at her side, Evande yelped, spinning on her heel when the form seemed to be facing the opposite way than she.

No, no, no, no, no! she thought as the light wore away whilst it was the PokΓ©mon stretched its wings out in a rather intimidating manner, arching its neck to the sky to call out with a rather protective sounding roar. β€œFafnir. . . .” Evande spoke, voice wavering a bit. Hearing his trainer’s voice, the black Charizard turned his red eyes onto her familiar form and the cowering Cubone in her arms. β€œUgh, Fafnir, you didn’t have to . . . you know that you don’t have to pop out every time you hear Micah cry. . . .”

β€œZard, Char.” He responded, sounding as strong as ever, as certain, which only earned him a sigh from the pink-haired trainer.
The last thing she needed was her shiny Charizard bursting out of his PokΓ© Ball in the middle of a city, even if the stretch of the city they were in was a pretty desolate one. β€œI know, you want to protect me and all of us, but y’know if things were really serious, I’d call you out. . . .” In response to this, Fafnir huffed, turning his head forward to look at the little scene that’d been playing out behind them. A guy dressed in a manner that screamed punk, an Absol, a Gengar and a Haunter. Seeing this made Evande just blink a bit before her crystal-colored eyes went back down to the Cubone in her arms. β€œLet me guess Micah, you sensed the Ghost-types and that’s what got you . . . ?”

β€œCuuuuu. . . .” he responded.

β€œZaaaaaaard!” Fafnir called out, rather too loudly for Evande’s tastes. Was he trying to be intimidating . . . ?

β€œFafnir, don’t start something with anyone, or those PokΓ©mon . . . !” Evande hissed at him, hoping to Arceus that things were going to simmer down in activity soon so she could just get on with her life alone. Just as that thought crossed her mind, the dark-haired guy with the Absol and the Haunter turned around. . . . Damn it.

Miles Calvin

Miles watched the events unfold from his position around the corner of a building. He peeked around it a few times--probably more than he should considering he was trying to hide and not get caught--but he wanted to see what was happening and this guy was taking forever. At first, the guy seemed to be suspicious, even a little paranoid, but his movements were slow. Miles figured it was because he was being cautious, but he nearly jumped out of his shoes when the guy spun around and pointed lethal weapons at his Pokemon! He yelped and instantly came out of hiding, but didn't move very far from his original position since, well, the guy had weapons. Was that even allowed?! Who in the world did he think he was pointing those things at an innocent Pokemon? Of course, the lives of Pokemon weren't as precious as those of humans, but he'd spent too much time and money on training that stupid Gengar and Miles would rather this guy not ruin that for him just because of a stupid little prank.

Still, even Miles had to admit he was a little impressed by Freak's ability to keep his scare up even with a gun in his face. Of course, this was one of his Pokemon that he was talking about, so of course Freak was tough as nails. Naturally, he must have developed this ability through watching his master. Miles didn't hide himself again, but didn't want to approach the man even though it was a little obvious that his plan to scare the guy had failed. Miserably. He made a mental note to give Freak an earful about that when he had a chance to later. For now, he leaned against the building and watched, ignoring the few other people around for the time being. They held no interest to him, even though he kept catching glances of them out of the corner of his eyes. The pink-haired guy was a little distracting with the way he kept mumbling to his Pokemon, although Miles couldn't really hear anything he was saying from where he was; not that he cared.

It was then he realized that the guy was also saying something, but Miles was still unable to hear him properly from where he was so he sighed and ended up pushing himself off the building, heading over to him to retrieve his stupid failure of a Pokemon. Really, what was Freak even good for if he wasn't good at scaring people? Wasn't that like half the point of having a ghost Pokemon? Tch. The stupid thing still tried scaring him on a daily basis and it still got into his head at night, but Miles would always wake up in the middle of the night and threaten to cut off his food supply until Freak agreed to leave his dreams alone. He wasn't going through that fiasco again.

Miles had made it about halfway there when the guy let a Haunter out of the Pokeball, probably to greet his Gengar. Great, because all any of them needed was another ghost Pokemon floating around and being creepy and weird. An involuntary shudder ran down his spine. He really hated ghost types. They were the worst. He rolled his eyes when the guy put the Haunter away and started approaching again when he realized he was finally within earshot. "Now, If you could run back to the loser that owns you, I would appreciate that. And have a good day."

"Excuse me!?" Loser?! "I'll show you a loser, punk wannabe!" Oh wait, this guy had a weapon, didn't he? Was that thing fake? Or maybe it was just for show. Yeah, yeah, that was probably it. It was probably a fake weapon because this guy was a total wannabe. Miles marched up to the guy and glared at Freak. "You were totally useless, thanks." He sighed and returned the Gengar back to its pokeball before turning back on the guy, regarding him with an annoyed expression. He wasn't so much mad anymore as he was just disappointed that this guy seemed so unphaseable. And that Freak was a total failure. He glanced down at the Absol with moderate interest and held Freak's pokeball out. "I'll trade you this failure for your Absol."

He opened his mouth to continue to ask the guy's name, but paused when he saw a Charizard come out of that pink-haired guy's pokeball, not too far away. It's roar was loud enough for him to nearly feel the ground shake. He momentarily lost the attention he had on the guy to watch the Charizard, a smile ghosting over his lips. A shiny Charizard. That dude had a shiny Pokemon?! He didn't have any of those! How come he got the cool-looking one? Oh, that was the coolest thing ever! He had to have it. Somehow. Glancing down at the pokeball in his hands, Miles brought it back and brushed the 'wannabe punk' off. "Nevermind! I bet I could totally trick that dude into trading this Freak for his awesome Charizard. Look at that thing!" He took a step towards the Charizard, paused, and turned around again. "Wait here, wait here! I'm gonna follow you, n'kay? So be a good cool guy and don't move."

With that said, Miles was pretty convinced that the guy was going to do as he said and ran off to the guy with the pink hair, coming to a stop right in front of him--her? No, totally a guy--and grinning, holding out the pokeball with the Gengar inside. "Hi! Here! I offer you the best Pokemon this world has to offer! It's totally rare and totally strong and it can be alll yours for the small trade of...this awesome Charizard of yours. It's unfair on my end really, but I'll survive. Just for you." He had to accept. It was a fool-proof deal.

The truth behind people is that they will do anything to further their own gains. It takes more of a man to put his companion first.

Zachary Mellko

It was when he turned around that he heard the voice of a kid, and instantly suspected who it was: a snot nosed child that probably owned the Gengar, and was probably pissed off that a 'punk loser' had just insulted him. Zachary turned and gave a smirk when he heard the expression of the kid, for it was, in essence, too perfect. Excuse me!? First came the disbelief, as always, and then came the insults. 'll show you a loser, punk wannabe! Well, Zach had to admit, he hadn't heard himself be described as a 'wannabe' in quite some time - roughly a year actually. It was when he lost to a trainer in Sinnoh - apparently he had taken a few wrong turns and ran into some hardcore trainer while he was just trying to help his new Shinx to become one of his newest teammates. After two weeks, he showed back up in that very same area, and crushed the trainer with his Luxray. It was one of his more fonder memories.

Zoning back into the real world, he noticed that the kid had called his Gengar 'useless' which sent a pang of annoyance through his body. Zachary hated people that called their own pokemon useless - for after all, it was the trainer's job to train them to become the badass pokemon they should be. If they were useless, that was the trainer's fault for being a failure at training. What made it more insulting was that, now that Zach was facing the kid, he pulled out the Gengar's pokeball and shoved it forward in the air. 'll trade you this failure for your Absol. Zachary's eyebrows flung up to his forehead, visible behind his sunglasses as he turned to look at Absol - she too felt the same complete confusion and annoyance, or at least her facial expression somewhat showed that.

He suddenly heard a wail from behind him, and turned around. Over in the distance Zachary saw Pinky (his new nickname for the guy/girl thing with pink hair - honestly, could that person not just pick a gender or something?), noticing that the Cubone was now in Pinky's arms and crying about something over near Zach. The punk guy looked around himself, somewhat confused as to why a Cubone would be so scared of him - Zach realized how stupid that sounded after the fact - until he realized that Phantom had not actually returned to his Pokeball. Zach hung his head and gave a chuckle along with a sigh - a chigh? - as he pulled out his pokeball to return Phantom. "Dude, not now, alrighty? Maybe later." Phantom just laughed, and finally returned at the same time that Zachary turned around to fact the kid behind him that now was talking again.

Nevermind! I bet I could totally trick that dude into trading this Freak for his awesome Charizard. Look at that thing! Zachary felt a surge of random emotions flood his body. For one, he was sort of pissed off that the kid just brushed him off because 'that dude had a Charizard'. However, he was also quite relieved that he had brushed him off, for now he could just disappear. A pang of jealousy was also felt, for he turned around at the mention of the Charizard to see the thing roaring and... shiny. Damn. Pinky seemed to have more balls than Zachary gave him credit. Wait here, wait here! I'm gonna follow you, n'kay? So be a good cool guy and don't move. AAAAAAnd that was when the annoyance came back. Zacky almost smacked himself in the forehead out of sheer annoyance.

Zack gave a sigh, cussed a little, and looked over at Absol, who still seemed to be highly uninterested by what was going on. He gave a smirk. Figures. Absol live on mountain regions, and probably see this kind of crap all the time. With that thought in mind, Zacky began to walk in the direction he had been heading the entire time, passed all the others. Before he continued though, he stopped to watch this little 'deal' go down, and made little wagers with Absol.

"Here's the deal Absol - if Pinky here is stupid enough to fall for the loser's proposal, I will lose all faith in humanity and the gang can eat my meals for the next three days. I'll eat your food. If Pinky is bright, then I win. Deal?" He gave a smirk after whispering to Absol, and she seemingly understood his proposal, for she instantly turned her head to watch the exchange go down, hoping that Pinky was indeed that stupid. (Notice, he calls his 6 pokemon 'the gang'.)

Fyren Blino

β€œYour brother needn’t apologize to me, if anything I’m as much at fault for our little run-in as he is since I wasn’t paying much attention to where I was going.” The pink-haired boy said, and Avane laughed. This boy was the most well spoken person she'd met since she saw Juren. Hey wait, maybe he was from Unova? No way; from what she'd learnt via her father, not everyone in Unova is eloquent and there are some punks there. A roar broke through the air as the boy's Cubone fretted over something and a Charizard, shiny no less, popped out of the ball on her hip.

Speaking of punks however, Fyren stopped his game with his Pokemon when he felt the Pokeballs on his belt rattling as if they wanted out. He put his hand on them to calm the lot, yet Doppel seemed restless. Maybe they recognised their trainer's hostility, but he could feel they were worried. And finally, his eyes rested on the two who's recently arrived. It seemed almost as if a row were to break out and Doppel wanted to protects her trainer. He found it hard to keep her under control; if they were taking interest in the pink-boy's (who Fyren had now named 'Pinky' in his head) shiny Charizard, would they not take an interest in his Gengar? And he did not want that. Fyren almost growled at the ball as he concentrated on keeping it shut. After all, it was just a regular ball since Doppel had practically given herself up, so it wasn't too strong on keeping her in. Avane saw the struggle, and Fyren looked at her apologetically.

"Hi! Here! I offer you the best Pokemon this world has to offer! It's totally rare and totally strong and it can be alll yours for the small trade of...this awesome Charizard of yours. It's unfair on my end really, but I'll survive. Just for you." At this, Fyren literally growled. He didn't sound human, but certainly not like a weak Pokemon either. Although his growl was rather quiet, he sounded like he could have been siblings with that Charizard if it weren't for the whole Human thing seperating them. He wanted to trade his Pokemon? Just like that? He'd seen a Shiny and thought "Who cares about this Gengar?" and just decided to pass it on even after seeing the close relationship between 'Pinky' and his Pokemon?

"Bastard." Fyren said, for once speaking the language others understood. Avane blinked at him. "Idiot, moron, bastard!" His voice turned into a low growl once more before fizzing out and he felt the Pokeball under his hand stop her struggle suddenly. He blinked. "I'm sorry Doppel, but you can't come out just yet. If this turns into a fight, I'll let you out. I promise, I promise." Avane was looking at him with a slight shock in her eyes, before she recognised the glare he had in his eyes. Oh, how Fyren hated those sorts of trainers. Occasionally, some would pass through the woods and Fyren would creep them out to the point of tears. Heck, he'd even climb on their backs and whisper creepy-nothings into their ears.

But now he was face to face with one of these people, but he wasn't a 'ghost' of the village anymore and his sister wasn't too sure on how he'd react to this anymore. And Doppel had begun fighting again when she felt danger from the other Gengar getting nearer and the Charizard. She'd already hurt her trainer, so no one else could. No one.

A burst of light flashed though the air and from the white came. . . . Pheon? Since he's spent so much time trying to keep Doppel under control, he'd never noticed that Pheon wanted out. Fyren looked at his Eeveelutions and told them to return to their balls, as well as his Sableye so that they didn't attract too much attention from the trainer in from of him. Avane looked from 'Pinky' to the weird one who'd tried to trade off their Pokemon.

"I doubt she'd give you her Pokemon." she said, a mocking smirk on her face. "They're close, can't you see? Or do you just not have the ability to perceive the emotions of Pokemon? That Ralts over there in my brother's arms. . . . " Avane pointed at Pheon, who looked worried even if she couldn't see his eyes, and smiled kindly. ". . . . He treats my brother like a father. And that Cubone does the same to this boy. The relationships, the bonds between humans and Pokemon are, or should be, so tight that we can't just part with them and we'd risk our lives for them, as they would for us. That's my translation of what Fyren is saying." As she said, Fyren was communicating by signing slowly. He sighed and stroked the Ralts' head, smiling softly at it while singing something quietly so he would sleep.

#, as written by Kuroe
Mira Asphodel yawned and looked up through the branches at the blue sky. It was a beautiful day out, perfect for traveling. She was glad that she hadn't made it to the city the day before, actually. Maybe it was just the air, or the temperature... A loud howl interrupted her thoughts.

She looked back at a huge Arcanine growling and advancing on some poor creature that had found itself in the bushes on the side of the path, dangerously close to the sniffing nose of the great beast.

"C'mon, Mo'Ai! isn't it time to get to the city? Do you want something to eat or not?" she called back.

When Mo'Ai had transferred trainers, from her brother to her, Mira had kept its name the same, if only for sentimental reasons. Still, now, even the sight of the Arcanine failed to do more than stir memories of her brother. It made Mira worried that she had begun to forget him...

She shook herself as she snapped out of her reverie. Now wasn't the time to be worrying about such things. She had had a very successful trip in the year since she had last been to Bellflower city, and she had a much larger amount of money to spend this year. Her job, selling medicines and herbs she put together, was not usually all that profitable, but this year she had managed to net herself a good sum.

Enough, actually, that she would be able to buy some new clothes and traveling goods, as she thought of her currently ripped and worn down clothes and bag. They genera;;y tended to go fairly fast, but at least she was at the city another year.

Later, in Bellflower City

Mira looked around at all the wonderful sights, colors and sounds. She didn't remember anything from her visits in previous years, so it was like a new experience every time.

Mo'Ai voiced his annoyance with the setting in the form of a soft huff. He had never liked large groups of people.

"Oh, come on... Here, I'll find you a place to get some food... If I can, that is..." she murmured the last part more to herself.

She didn't know where she, or any place, actually, was in this city. Looking around, she couldn't find anyone to ask, either. Not anyone that she would want to at least. Pulling an unwilling Mo'AI along with her, she walked quickly around. Maybe she could find a Pokemon centre instead? They might have a map of some sort there...

She sighed. It was rather odd for her to be dragging around a Pokemon that was nearly three, maybe four times her height and weight around a city. She just hoped that she wouldn't attract any unwanted attention.

After taking a good number of turns, going down who knows how many streets, she stopped, groaning inwardly. It was probably useless. She wouldn't find anything this way. Might as well as someone... She spied a large group off people standing around with some of their Pokemon out. Was it a good idea to interrupt them? She stood, awkwardly hovering and looking at them from the other side of the street. Mo'Ai huffed and stared at the Pokemon across the street, as if hoping for entertainment of some kind.

Sighing a final time, she started her way across the street, hoping to not be rude and interrupt whatever was going on.

"Um... Excuse me...?" she said loudly when she was about halfway across the street.

The setting changes from The Lobelia Islands to Bellflower City

[Evande Sterling]

A sigh escaped from Evande’s lips at the air her β€˜dear’ Charizard had taken on, it was indeed not the happiest of ones. Fafnir was on the defensive thanks to the fact that Micah had gone ahead and unleashed a rather blatant death wail in regards to the presence of Ghost-type PokΓ©mon. There was no way possible for a person to remain discreet when they had a shiny, roaring Charizard ready to strike something/one in the middle of a city. So much for her plans of keeping her life on the quiet side while on Anemone Island. Those were more or less now screwed because luck had to go and have her run into the one person who’d been traveling down the same street as her. The one single person. With her Cubone still quivering in her arms, his face pressed into her bound chest, Evande’s expression had taken on one that was . . . less than pleasant. Fafnir had definitely managed to draw some attention to himself, and worst of all, to her.

Not only was she dealing with the blue-haired siblings now, but the attention of the dark-haired trainer with the Haunter and Absol had been caught, as well as that of a shorter, blonde-haired trainer . . . The short blonde had been talking it up with the former trainer, looking as if he’d been holding a PokΓ© Ball out. Evande could only chalk that up to him trying to coax a trade off or something; she’d seen that more than a few times in her travelsβ€”trainers randomly trying to trade their PokΓ©mon for other’s. Fafnir is sooooooo getting scolded for his outburst when I can get some space between me and other people.

The blonde took a step past the dark-haired trainer, looking at Fafnir, an expression on his face that neither trainer nor PokΓ©mon much cared for. Seeing it, Fafnir responded with a huff, and all Evande could do was stand and stare with a rather blasΓ© expression as it was the boy said something to other guy before he darted toward her stopping too close to her for her personal comfort. The hell is it with the people in Bellflower City sucking at keeping out of my personal bubble . . . ? she thought, taking a step backward before the boy began speaking, grinning in a manner she found unpleasant, holding out a PokΓ© Ball toward her. I already know what this is going to lead toward. There came from her a sigh.

β€œHi! Here! I offer you the best PokΓ©mon this world has to offer! It’s totally rare and totally strong and it can be alll yours for the small trade of…this awesome Charizard of yours. It’s unfair on my end really, but I’ll survive. Just for you.” Well, the shortie definitely had some confidence in himself, that was for certain. Evande could read his manner of thought in this situation like a book, he was sure that he was going to get his way, and that she’d trade him Fafnir without a problem. Evande remained quiet a moment, just staring at him like he was an idiotβ€”her expression could not have been more blatant regarding that one. Even Fafnir was staring at the kid like he was the stupidest person on the planet for what he was trying to pull.

Before she could even speak, the dark-haired trainer trotted passed herself, the shortie, and the blue-haired siblings with his Absol in towβ€”though Evande knew he was watching this little scene play out. She opened her mouth to speak, but found herself cut off by a round of insults she assumed were directed at the blonde. β€œBastard.” Evande turned her head back and looked at the boy, the one who had run into her beforeβ€”Fyren, her crystal-eyes wide behind her glasses as she simply blinked and stared at him. β€œIdiot, moron, bastard!” he shouted, in English, growling like a feral PokΓ©mon again.

A couple of more blinks, and Evande had a ghost of a smile happen upon her lips. So, it looks like the only English he knows are insults, but whatever, he sure did sum up my thoughts~ Evande thought, snickering just a bit. Funny to think that the one person among the little group who probably couldn’t speak much English at all had more or less vocalized the obvious before anyone else. There was a flash of light from Fyren’s belt, a PokΓ©mon popping out of its Ball unannounced, a Ralts.

The sister spoke then, β€œI doubt she’d give you her PokΓ©mon.” there was a scornful smirk on face, β€œThey’re close, can’t you see? Or do you just not have the ability to perceive the emotions of PokΓ©mon? That Ralts over there in my brother’s arms. . . .” she pointed at the little thing now cradled in Fyren’s arms, similar to how Micah was still in Evande’s own arms, clutching onto her shirt while looking on at the situation with teary little eyes. β€œ. . . . He treats my brother like a father. And that Cubone does the same to this boy.” Hah . . . yeah, boy. . . . β€œThe relationships, the bonds between humans and Pokemon are, or should be, so tight that we can't just part with them and we'd risk our lives for them, as they would for us. That's my translation of what Fyren is saying.” The entirety of the time the sister had been speaking, Fyren had been doing more of his weird hand gestures. Even if the kid couldn’t speak English beyond insults it seemed, he definitely had PokΓ©mon-Human relations figured out.

That little factoid made Evande break into an honest smile, the first caused by another person in ages. It was nice to actually see a trainer who regarded their PokΓ©mon as their family rather than lower beings, or as pets or collectibles, like it seemed so many did anymore. Micah still in her arms, and Fafnir still at her side, his arms crossed, his crimson-gaze still set upon the blonde-shortie of a trainer before her, Evande turned her own gaze back toward the boy, smile leaving her features. Looking at him a bit better, the boy looked like he was probably her age, despite his height. I am tall for a girl, I sometimes forget that. she thought with a sigh.

She inhaled rather sharply, before exhaling in an exasperated mannerβ€”yeah; she was tired of people already for the day. Tilting her head to the side, and looking at the boy, expression bored, she responded to him herself. β€œLet me take a wild guess about what you were thinking . . . you thought this was going to be infallible, and that you were going to be able to talk me into relinquishing to you one of my precious, and beloved PokΓ©mon, didn’t you?” Evande asked him, her voice about as monotone as could be. Fafnir had his eyes on her, something of a smirk was happening upon the dragon-like PokΓ©mon’s face at hearing his trainer drone on in that practiced voice of hers. A couple of years ago, she couldn’t have managed to go on in a situation like this sounding so very . . . bored of it, she’d have been beyond emotional about it.

β€œWell, I’ve got a newsflash for you, shortie, I wouldn’t trade any of my PokΓ©mon for the world. They’re my family and I love all six of them, my Milotic, Togekiss, Garchomp, Metagross and my Charizard and Cubone hereβ€”all of them are my family, and you really should learn to regard yours as the same.” Evande’s voice had gained an edge of annoyance and anger as she went on, she ended her little speech very nearly hissing at the kid, her expression having changed from one of boredom to one of being honestly irked. Ugh, the Hell am I doing? I don’t have time to be lecturing idiots on how to treat their PokΓ©mon, I have a missing brother and PokΓ©mon to track down. . . . she sighed to herself, remembering her true intentions in the Lobelia Islands, Ulric and La.

β€œCu, Cubo-o-o-one!” Evande looked down at Micah when the little one prattled on about something, looking up at his trainer with something akin to . . . starry eyes it seemed. She blinked dully at the look in his eyes before giving him a wary smile, seems the little Lonely PokΓ©mon was . . . fanboying over his maternal-figure for her little speech.

β€œCharizard, Char.” Fafnir nodded his head, as if agreeing to whatever it was Micah had said, a look of sureness on the Charizard’s features.

Evande made a motion to move herself, a surge of pain jolted up her spine from both the fall and the shoddy PokΓ©mon Center bed she’d dragged herself out of that morning, a wince going across her features as a result before something of a yelp slipped from her throat at another feeling that was definitely more alarming than the ache she’d felt. Before, she’d thought her breast bindings might’ve been loosened by the force with which she’d been knocked back . . . she hadn’t been sure but now, she couldn’t have been more certain. Oh dear Arceus, they’re loose, they are definitely loose! she thought, forcing composure back over herself in front of the people and the PokΓ©mon around her. Okay, so, I don’t know what to do at the moment about this . . . I have to fix it, but I can’t since I’m more or less surrounded by a load of people I want nothing to even do with . . . !

Both Fafnir and Micah noticed the discomfort their trainer was in, though they didn’t know why. Both their eyes went to each other for a moment, questioningly before they looked back to her.

It was at this point in time that a somewhat timid, yet loud voice echoed through the near-desolate streets, and caught hold of Evande’s attention. β€œUm… Excuse me…?” Drawing her head over toward the direction it came from, Evande found there to be a small, young blonde girl standing there, in the middle of the street, looking at the lot of them with an Arcanine trailing behind her.

Oh for the love of . . . why? Why are all these people appearing around me today!? she thought with a groan, head tipping downward. She needed to get away from this and to fix her damn breast bindings.

Miles Calvin

Miles had his doubts that this was going to work. Of course, he knew most people weren't so stupid that they would trade one of their best Pokemon to some random kid they'd never met before. It was obvious that he couldn't be trusted by his word, but the point stood that he, at the very least, gave it a shot. The look on this guy's face told him he was less than amused however and this dude--whatever he was doing was just kind of weird. It was enough to draw Miles' attention from Pinky over to him, the weirdo making sounds. Oh, jeeze, wow, he looked mad. What was he so mad about? Oh, right, he'd just jumped right in the middle of their conversation, hadn't he? What if it'd been something important? Oops. Well, whatever, what was done was done and there was no point in getting so mad about it. Jeeze.

"Bastard." Oh, woah, hey. Name calling was not cool. "Idiot, moron, bastard!" Miles mouth gaped slightly in the utmost offense. Who exactly was this blue-haired weirdo to call him such rude names!? What, just because he interrupted some dumb conversation? All he had to say was 'excuse me,' and the point would of been taken. Miles liked the shiny Pokemon a whole lot, but if Pinky here told him no to the trade then he'd just have to give up, right? So it was a two-second exchange and this guy was totally throwing it out of proportion.

A Ralts popped out of the pokeball, surprising Miles. He felt a little stupid afterwards and would have laughed it off if it weren't for the next person who spoke, a girl who looked close enough to the weirdo that it was a safe bet to say they were related. "I doubt she'd give you her Pokemon." What? Wait. Ohhh, so this wasn't about him interrupting their conversation it was about--ohhh. Well, that was just dandy. He'd stumbled right in the middle of a bunch of tree-hugging Pokemon right's activists. Just what he needed. "They're close, can't you see? Or do you just not have the ability to perceive the emotions of Pokemon? That Ralts over there in my brother's arms. . . . " Miles let out a long, over-dramatic sigh, shoulders slumping as he gave the Ralts an unamused expression. It looked like a small, weak Pokemon. Uninteresting. Lame. Not strong at all, probably. ". . . . He treats my brother like a father. And that Cubone does the same to this boy. The relationships, the bonds between humans and Pokemon are, or should be, so tight that we can't just part with them and we'd risk our lives for them, as they would for us. That's my translation of what Fyren is saying."

Who the heck is Fyren and who the heck cares? Of all the types he could of run into, it had to be this type. Miles straightened his stance and brushed himself off, looking down at his shirt and smoothing the wrinkles out of it. Despite looking like he blatantly couldn't care less about what this chick had to say, he wasn't smiling anymore. He felt a lot like a child who'd just been caught stealing cookies from the cookie jar, stuck standing before these strangers being scolded. Okay, so he felt a little bad, but not about what he'd been trying to do. He didn't care that much about his Gengar. Freak was a good asset to his team, but that big, shiny Charizard would have been even better. And isn't that the point? To be better than everyone else?

β€œLet me take a wild guess about what you were thinking . . . you thought this was going to be infallible, and that you were going to be able to talk me into relinquishing to you one of my precious, and beloved PokΓ©mon, didn’t you?” Ohmygod are you serious. Miles turned his attention back to the boy with the pink hair, his expression pained. He looked away briefly to make sure Mr. Coolguy was still back there and was relieved to find that he was. Maybe if he was fast enough, he could just walk away from this lecture and...no, probably not, that would be rude. β€œWell, I’ve got a newsflash for you, shortie, I wouldn’t trade any of my PokΓ©mon for the world. They’re my family and I love all six of them, my Milotic, Togekiss, Garchomp, Metagross and my Charizard and Cubone hereβ€”all of them are my family, and you really should learn to regard yours as the same.” Pinky's speech was wrapped up by a chorus of agreement from her Cubone and Charizard, killed out by another over-exaggerated sigh from Miles.

"Look, I didn't need your life stories, I just wanted--"

"Um... Excuse me...?" Oh, what, who? Miles looked around and spotted a girl crossing the street towards them. He blew out his cheeks when he realized Pinky had his attention on the new girl rather than him. Talk about rude.

Ignoring the blond girl for the moment, Miles snapped his fingers to get the attention back on him. "Yeah, hi, hello, whatever. Listen, Pinky, I didn't mean to 'offend' you or anything." When saying 'offend,' he moved his fingers to sarcastically quote the word. He turned his head and glanced at the weirdo siblings. "Or you either, I guess. Like I said, whatever. I mean, I don't get what the big deal is. It's not like I'm the first one on Earth to wanna trade my crappy Pokemon for a better one. It was a flawed plan." He shrugged before forcing himself to brighten up, bring a small smile to his lips and holding out a hand for Pinky to shake. He would much rather shake his hand than the blue haired jerks who insulted him. "My name is Miles! There, now we know each other and we're no longer enemies." He glanced at the weirdos again, his smile turning slightly sour. "Right?"

He took a step back so he could feel less intimidated, Miles took a deep breath and pointed at each individual person as he went on. "I wanna know all your names! Yours too, blondie!" He raised an eyebrow at her as she neared them. Maybe she would hold a good enough distraction from whatever he'd done to peeve off these three for them to take all the negative off him and onto her.

[Evande Sterling]

Did some sort of unknown force on the Lobelia Islands have it in for her and her secret . . . ? Here she was, the first day she was ready to go out and about to look for Ulric, and she runs into a bunch of people at random, and in the midst of this, her bindings loosened up to the point that even the slightest of wrong moves might cause them to slip off completely. With a rather obvious look of discontentment and annoyance, Evande kept Micah pressed to her, the little Cubone realized that his trainer was holding onto him tighter than she normally would, so it caused him to glance up at her questioningly, uttering a soft, β€œCubone . . . ?” in response to this.

Evande didn’t respond to Micah’s call, only she shut her eyes and let out a breath, trying to keep herself as composed as she could. As long as she could keep Micah in her arms, she’d be all right until it was that she got a proper chance to fix what needed to be fixed. Doing that though, meant her finding some sort of escape from all of these people. The siblings, the dark-haired trainer with the Absol, Shortie, and the newly approaching blonde girl, she needed to get away from them all. But, really, had she turned into some sort of magnet for people overnight or something, and that was why a group had suddenly gathered around her? Hopefully, she could just shake these people and get on with her search.

When it was someone began to snap their fingers, Evande found herself pulled back to the scene around her, to the boy in front of her, the one who had tried to trade his PokΓ©mon for Fafnir. Her crystal-eyes came upon him, an irked glint still running through them. β€œYeah, hi, hello, whatever. Listen Pinky, I didn’t mean to β€˜offend’ you or anything.” He air-quoted β€˜offend’ as he spoke, sarcastic about it. Someone knows how to really apologize in a convincing manner. He looked over to Fyren and his sister, β€œOr you either, I guess. Like I said, whatever. I mean I don’t get what the big deal is, It’s not like I’m the first one on Earth to wanna trade my crappy PokΓ©mon for a better one. It was a flawed plan.” The gaze Evande held on him dissolved into a glare in regards to him saying β€˜crappy PokΓ©mon.’

Fafnir as well realized what it was the boy had said and had his eyes shut, arms crossed as his jaw was clenched up with unresolved annoyance and anger. Micah was still looking up at Evande, keeping himself quiet. Yeah, I already know, I don’t like this kid. a bitter smile surfaced over her features while the blonde boy shrugged, and seemingly became all the more cheery in a moment’s notice, smiling while it was he held a hand out toward her.

Her eyes glanced down at the outstretched hand before rather coldly slinking back up to the kid’s face. β€œMy name is Miles! There, now we know each other and we’re no longer enemies.” Ugh, wonderful, now we’re undergoing introductions? β€˜Miles’ looked over at Fyren and his sister again, his smile taking a turn for the unpleasant. β€œRight?” he asked.

The shortie took a step back from her, much to her own relief before he inhaled deeply and pointed at every one in the vicinity, ”I wanna know all your names! Yours too, blondie!” he pointed to the approaching girl as well, causing Evande’s eyes to happen upon her yet again. She wanted something; after all, she worked up the courage to catch their attention.

Letting out a small huff of her own, Evande took her eyes away from the young girl before looking back to the boy, and his hand. There was no way she was going to shake it, for one, because she didn’t want to move her arms at the moment, to even risk her secret for such a shallow, annoying gesture, and for two, because she wanted nothing to do with this kid. He held no respect for his PokΓ©mon, obviously. . . .

β€œ. . . .Evande Cross, that’s my name.” she spoke after being silent for a moment though, her voice rather bored sounding. β€œYou can put your hand back to your side, Shortie, because I’m not going to shake it.”

She turned her gaze back over to her Charizard, β€œFafnir, please, return to your PokΓ© Ball.” To this, the PokΓ©mon looked at his trainer, and he flared his nostrils seemingly not wanting to do so, not with this Miles kid around. But, he gave a hesitant nod to her before doing as asked. His hand found its way into her backpack, and in a moment’s notice, the dragonic PokΓ©mon was reduced to a figure of light before he vanished altogether into his PokΓ© Ball. She looked back at Miles for a moment before it was her eyes went upon the girl again, and she spoke, β€œCome on now, you wanted something from the lot of us, so don’t just stand there!”

It's as if people are begging me to find them annoying, so I can totally make fun of them.

Zachary Mellko

The next few moments would seem pretty unnatural and awkward for the average person, but to a kid that thought humans were completely retarded (including the fact that his social skills were on par with a slowbro), the course of the next few minutes were a total clusterf***. Zachary could barely keep up, so he saw everything as random glimpses and really short scenes.

Starters, the annoying kid left him. That was already established. Blue haired boy/possessed kid started using low grade cusses for no apparent reason. Sure, Zachary could relate - sometimes swearing was the only response he could think of to randos - but the kid's English sounded horrible. Started speaking in some gutteral language to his pokemon, which was kinda cool but more stupid than interesting. Ralts appeared on with the blue haired kid, confusing probably the rest of everybody. Older... sister person - Zachary was really starting to go out on a limb with all of these assumptions, and it was really pissing him off. Why couldn't people just explain on contact with another 'Hi, my name is ____ and this is my sister. And I think you look like an ass.' But no, that was apparently too blatant. Anywho, off topic. Older sister starts talking to loser annoyance about how Pinky won't give up Shiney Charizard because of bonds. DUH was all Zachary could think of. Older sister explains that she basically translated what her younger brother had said, and that equals an assumption win for Zachary.

Next, rando girl shows up - blonde hair, sort of cute. Hovers in background, unsure of to join into the onslaught of confusion. Zachary then notices that annoying kid has a look of annoyance - possibly about himself - and Pinky basically says ditto to the Blue haired people. Pinky then has an expression of pain surge through his body for some reason, and gives out a yelp of surprise. Again, no real reason. Blondie finally decides that she wants to join the party of confusion, but comes in timidly. Annoying kid continues to remain annoying with a comment about life stories, then decides to give out his name - Moron Miles has a good ring to it - and basically demands that everybody share theirs, like some form of powwow - or something. Pinky refuses handshake - double smart move. Somehow, Zachary's faith in humanity restored a little bit - and gives name of Evande Cross. Zachary had originally hoped that Pinky's real name would help the gender problem that Zachary was feeling, but it didn't. It felt more like when he was a kid, and some old guy asked him to see if a ghost pokemon was male or female. Conclusion? Impossible.

Now, after that massive onslaught, Zachary finally had the time to rest up his overworked brain and place a hand on his temples in annoyance, a sigh escaping his lips. He didn't realize that over the years he had left, Lobelia Islands had gotten populated with the confused and moronic. What made it worse was that the kid just had to point his little finger at him as well, so now Zachary was basically singled out - just like the rest of them - to say his name. Not that he planned on doing so, for he had no reason. These people didn't need to know who he was, or that his parents ran that BTC out of town. Nobody needed to know anything about him, and that was just the way he liked to keep things. Fair and simple.

So, as Pinky told the quiet girl to spew it, Zachary did a recap on all of these peoples. For starters, Miles was an idiot, and the kind of person that Zachary beat up in middle school. Zachary liked to think of Evande as one of those gender-less Pokemon that wanted to be left alone - good on you, Pinky - and there were two siblings with blue hair, and one of them couldn't speak English. Glorious, what the hell have I walked into today? Zachary shook his head, a small chuckle escaping his lips. He thought that this may be Arceus throwing some karma at his face, or Darkrai messing with his mind again. Regardless, it sucked, and he really wanted to get out of there.

Zachary pushed his sunglasses back onto the top of his nose, covering his eyes again, and hoped that nobody noticed him turn to walk away. While he turned, he gave Absol a funny look and said "Guess like I won Absol - looks like life is gunna stay the same with us." Absol looked a little annoyed by the outcome, but let it go fairly easily - no point in getting annoyed by somebody that was thinking clearly. So when Zach finally got himself turned fully, and Absol no longer cared about the group, the punk merely stated in a hoarse voice.

"Zach." He really didn't care if it was loud enough, since it didn't matter to him. If they heard his name, good on their hearing abilities.

#, as written by Kuroe
Mira stopped in front of the group. She hadn’t expected to have someone answer her quite like that… She had hoped that she wouldn’t disturb them, actually. It was a bit too late for that, though.

β€œSor-β€œ she began, barely glancing at the blonde-haired boy in the group before Mo’Ai dropped into a crouch and growled menacingly, though uncertainly. She jumped slightly and took a step back as her gaze snapped to him. He wasn’t like this very often… No, he wasn’t like this at all, actually.

She hugged his neck, trying to hold him in place, though, of course, he could have just dragged her with him with very little extra effort. β€œI’m sorry, he doesn’t usually do- Ow, Mo’Ai, stop! Come on!” she let go of him as he calmed down slightly, though he still glared at the group of people. Why? He never growled at a person unless… No, she thought, even if they had been acting threatening, he hadn’t reacted quite like this… Now he was snarling softly, his eyes fixed on… The boy with blonde hair? She was confused.

β€œI don’t know what’s gotten into him… I’m really so-” she stopped dead as she focused on the boy’s face. Her mind seemed to go blank, grasping for answers that weren’t there.

The feeling was like a switch being flipped in her mind. The rims of her vision flickered as if with tendrils of shadowy flames, slowly creeping towards the middle of her sight. The sounds of the world dulled and finally disappeared, replaced by the he sound of a memory. Of a nightmare.

Her vision went next, replaced by dancing flames and the image of a boy, one with the same face that the blonde boy wore. But… Mira was yet unsure if the blonde boy had even existed. Was her life since the moment that she was in now all a dream, a dying wish of what could have happened? She was tempted to believe so, as she watched the boy who stood, amid the flames, armed with nothing but a defiant smile against the hell that surrounded him. But she couldn’t. She wouldn’t let herself believe that his efforts had gone to waste… Though in her heart she desperately denied it, she knew that the better of the two, the boy who stood defying death, and her, succumbing slowly to despair, had died that day. And she was the one that lived.

((NOTE: anything beyond this point is at the discretion of whoever posts next; she could have blcked out for ten seconds. She could have blacked out for ten hours. She could be sleeping in the pokemon center. She could have simply fallen on Mo’Ai. For whoever feels like I interrupted something, I apologize profusely. You may continue by making her black out for an extended period of time, and continue in a bit, or have her wake up and keep going. Also, for those of you who want to know what the hell just happened, please pm me. If not, it’ll be explained later.))

Her eyes snapped open, as she lay on a soft surface, without knowing where she was, tears falling freely from her eyes. She weakly reached up and wiped them away. She bitterly noted that she was still not strong. But… She had to… Was going to become strong. Another silent tear rolled down her cheek, and she, for the moment, told herself that her fears and weakness had gone with it.

Fyren Blino

"Look, I didn't need your life stories, I just wanted--" Fyren's sister stood closer to him as blondie spoke. She whispered a translation so Fyren understood juts what was going on, but the blonde boy was soon interrupted by, coincidentally, a blonde girl. Fyren found it weird; they even had almost the same eye colour.

The girl spoke up timidly. "Um... Excuse me...?" she said, but it seemed that her efforts to ask a question had simple been overlooked and forgotten. No one even payed much attention to her, apart from Fyren, who observed her stance, the awkwardness surrounding her, and came to the conclusion that she was lost.

Fyren didn't even listen to the next part of the conversation. He had become distracted and was discussing something not-so-important with his Ralts, to which he mumble quietly. Pheon, however, didn't much feel the need for discretion and replied loudly with "Ra! Al, Ra!", to which Fyren smiled amiably, before he snapped back into the conversation. His sister began speaking once more, and he actually paid attention now, for his need to actually feel engaged in a conversation had been satisfied.

β€œMy name is Miles! There, now we know each other and we’re no longer enemies.” Fyren raised an eyebrow. Was that how it worked around here? β€œRight?” Miles asked. Fyren didn't seem to really note the undertone in the boy's voice and simply took it as normal. However, Avane didn't seem too happy with the situation and frowned slightly, crossing her arms. She glanced at everyone around her, before setting her arms on her brother and frowning even more so when he looked at her with a childish innocence. It seemed he hadn't understood Miles' rudeness on the word 'right', and how it was directed towards the siblings.

The blue-haired siblings both blinked widely when they were pointed at, as was everyone else's. ”I wanna know all your names! Yours too, blondie!” Isn't he the only blonde one here? Oh no, the other girl. he thought, though a few seconds late due to the translation being a bit slow.

Pinky let out some weird huff-sigh-thing which made Fyren look at her with a confused frown, before she spoke. β€œ. . . .Evande Cross, that’s my name.” Apparently, she then went on to say something about not shaking Miles' hand, but she'd addressed him as 'Shortie' or something. Avane seemed to be getting annoyed at the amount of stupid small-talk she had to translate and she started shortening it down.

"That guy over there says he's Zach, unless 'Zach' means something and it's some stupid codename. He could have at least said 'My name is'. Jeez." Diavane sighed in annoyance, before blinking at the silence Fyren created. "Well, go one then. Introduce yourself."

Fyren looked nervously around, going slightly pink at the idea of using his English. At least this sentence was within his vocabulary for this annoying language, but he still struggled. "I-H-M-My name i-is Fyren. You can call me. . . . Fyr." he said, looking awkwardly at his sister. "Was that alright? I don't know, was it okay? Did I say it right? Should I go back and tell them to call me Fyren and not Fyr, or ask them if they've seen Juren?"

"Oh, shut up!" Avane said, slapping her brother lightly on the arm. He kicked her in retaliation but stuffed his hands inside his big pockets, frowning. "I'm Diavane. You can call me Avane. As you can probably tell, unless you're ridiculously stupid and think that blue hair is a natural occurrence, this annoying little brat is my brother."

"I heard 'brat'."

"You heard wrong." Avane snapped, and Fyr frowned. He patted his Ralts in his hands, before looking over at the blonde girl. She was the only one who hadn't answered yet.

Her Arcanine, however, seemed to be acting up towards Shortie-Miles and she was apologising profoundly. β€œI’m sorry, he doesn’t usually do- Ow, Mo’Ai, stop! Come on! . . . . I don’t know what’s gotten into him… I’m really so-” The girl seemed to black out, falling slowly to the ground, but in a flash of light, Fyr's Espeon and Umbreon had jumped out and ran underneath the falling girl to cushion her fall. Avane went to pick up the girl, laying the blonde on her lap carefully, and Fyren didn't even seem to remember her falling since he picked up his Pokemon and lay them in his arms carefully.

"Ty, Gole, you're not meant to do that! You could have hurt yourselves! Are you all right?" Fyr now walked away from the conversation altogether and crouched on the floor in front of his Pokemon a few metres away from Avane. "You did a good thing." He patted both of them on the head and as he walked back towards his sister, they circled his legs happily, glad of the confirmation that their trainer wasn't angry. "Is she okay?" he said quietly, and Diavane shrugged.

"I don't know. Just fell. I'm not one for medicine." she said, waving her hand in front of the girl. "Hey, heeeey. Wake up." she said, clicking her fingers in front of the girl. Blonde-Girl opened her eyes, tears falling and Avane blinked. "Woahwoahwoahno!" she said quickly, before turning up to her brother with a look of desperation. "What should I do? I don't know what to do when someone cries!"

Fyren actually laughed, kneeling next to the girl. "Maybe because you're a heartless git. The blue-haired boy knelt next to her, wiping her tears with his hand calmly. "Shhh." he whispered calmly. "Ask her what's wrong." he said, and his sister did as she was told. The blue-haired siblings both glanced around, especially at the girl's Arcanine who was glaring at the two angrily.

Miles Calvin

The pink-haired androgynous person did not shake his hand. Miles could be a little airy at times, but he knew when he was being blown off and it wouldn't be a far shot to say he felt thoroughly offended by his, her--Pinky's--lack of courtesy. He dropped his hand to his side, his smile dropping along with it. Well fine then. Who needed Pinky anyway when there were plenty of people of interest standing around, all standing at attention to him and him only. How great was this? β€œ. . . .Evande Cross, that’s my name.” His smile picked up just slightly. Evande? Well crap, was that a girl's name or a guy's? It sounded more feminine, but...oh, whatever, that wasn't even important. He'd just ask about it later. It couldn't be too offensive to ask. For now, Miles was sticking with male. β€œYou can put your hand back to your side, Shortie, because I’m not going to shake it.” Miles huffed, resisting the urge to mimic him in a high-pitched voice.

The blue-haired siblings were really starting to grind down on his gears. What were they even arguing about? It was obvious that one was much more adept in the English language than the other, the brother, but man it was annoying trying to figure them out. They were just so weird. "I-H-M-My name i-is Fyren. You can call me. . . . Fyr." Miles snrk'd, but he resisted the urge to let out a laugh. The boy didn't seem all that bad considering he didn't look much older or younger than Miles himself, but the guy's sister looked like the type who probably wouldn't think twice about smacking him for making fun of her younger sibling. Miles supposed that should come across as cute, but really he just found it lame.

"I'm Diavane. You can call me Avane. As you can probably tell, unless you're ridiculously stupid and think that blue hair is a natural occurrence, this annoying little brat is my brother." Miles nodded in reply, watching the two of them through a blank expression. Baw-riiiing.

β€œFafnir, please, return to your PokΓ© Ball.” Aw, but it was so cool. Even Miles didn't think a Pokemon of that caliber deserved the pitiful chamber of a pokeball. No, instead, it should be flaunted and shown off. If that Charizard was his instead of Pinky's, he would fly it around cities full of people and land it right in front of a Pokecenter where all could ooh and ahh at the magnificence only someone like he deserved to acquire. ...Okay, maybe that was pushing it a bit overboard. He wasn't that conceited. Evande had to have some good talent going on to have that thing in his position. Either that or it was luck. The attention was directed past him and to the girl approaching. β€œCome on now, you wanted something from the lot of us, so don’t just stand there!”

He jumped as an Arcanine, one who belonged to the blond girl, began acting negatively towards him. He took a step back, hands flying up defensively. What the heck was its stupid problem? Trainers should learn to discipline their crap-attitude Pokemon, he thought bitterly, glaring at it. He was sure Burn was much better. No comparison. β€œI’m sorry, he doesn’t usually do- Ow, Mo’Ai, stop! Come on! . . . . I don’t know what’s gotten into him… I’m really so-” The girl cut herself off as she affixed her gaze on Miles, who merely stared halfheartedly back. He was more concerned with the Arcanine, watching it carefully in case it decided it wanted to do more than just growl at him from a distance. And...then...she just dropped. The girl just dropped to the ground, fainted, in a moment's notice.

Even Miles felt relieved that there was something to cushion the girl's fall. There was no way he could have reached her in time and he didn't want to see something like that at this time of the day. Not that he wanted her to be hurt or anything either. Despite popular belief, he wasn't that terrible. He stood on tippy-toes, leaning curiously over the girl in Avane's lap. "Hey, heeeey. Wake up." With relief, the girl's eyes opened...and immediately filled with tears that spilled out over her cheeks. What had her so worked up? She seemed only moments ago. "Woahwoahwoahno!" He watched as the younger blue-haired sibling kneeled beside the girl and wiped her tears away before Avane asked her what was wrong. Yeah, that was a good question.

Another weirdo. Miles looked around momentarily before taking a step back away from the group. "Yeah, okay. She seems...good. Fine. She's alive. So I'm just gonna...go." He pointed a thumb over his shoulder at the guy who was probably already leaving in the distance. Oh no, he was not getting away that easily. He shot a halfhearted smile at Evande. "We'll talk later about that Charizard, okay? Okay." He did not want to get mixed up with a group of weirdos this big. Well, the size of the group didn't matter so much as the sanity level. Obviously, a normal guy like him couldn't get mixed into a crowd like this. It just wouldn't work out.

With the two siblings tending to the unresponsive blond, Miles decided that this was as good a time as any to take his leave--whether it was morally right or not. But why wouldn't it be? Why should he feel guilty about leaving? Just because he didn't know if that girl was okay or not? Please, she would be just fine. She just had a panic attack or...something. Maybe she was hungry? There was a whole number of reasons she could have passed out. It wasn't really his concern. Those three could take care of her. Meanwhile, he'd catch up with his cool new friend and they could go on a Pokemon-catching adventure together. "Hello, best buddy of mine! I told you I wouldn't leave you waiting for long!" Miles grinned as he caught up with the guy. "Did I hear your name was Zach? I barely caught it from back there. You got mine, right? Just in case: it's Miles." He waved a careless hand behind him. "I'm soooo done with those losers, so we can go wherever you want now! We're gonna have the best fun together."

[Evande Sterling]

Her eyes happened upon the turning figures of the punk-like trainer and his Absol as they seemed to be on their ways, leaving while it was the guy left behind an uttering of what she could assume was his name, β€œZach.” Of course, she could barely hear him say that, he definitely was the type who couldn’t have cared less about this little gathering here. Wonder why he was lurking about then. she thought, shaking her head to herself. Shortie had demanded their names, she’d given hers and so had that Zach, apparently, those who’d yet to give their names too were the blue-haired siblings, one of whom whose name she already knew, and the timid, slowly approaching blonde girl with the Arcanine.

Though, it really wasn’t as if their names mattered to her . . . these people were just nuisances, things she didn’t want drawn around her, to be around, the last thing she really needed was to be within a group. People brought with them the potential for her to up and have her one secret revealed, and the last thing she needed now was to be found out as a female. Before that could happen, before she could go back to being Evande Sterling, she had to find Ulric and La. Nothing else was as important as that. Until that time, people were something she didn’t need in her life. Maybe after she found her brother . . . maybe after that she’d try to let people into her life, but for now it was a no, she didn’t want it, couldn’t have it.

With that in mind, a breath slipped from between Evande’s lips as she held Micah close to her as ever, a maintained expression was kept over her features. β€œ. . . .shuru sauws hu's Zach, enluss 'Zach' muauns simushonj aunk os's simu ssephok cikunaumu. Hu cielk hauzu aus luauss sauok 'Mw naumu os'. Juus.” Picking up again on that rather odd language spoken by Fyr’s sister, Evande found her head turned back toward him and her, she managed to make out the name of β€˜Zach’ two times in that mess of speech. Even if she didn’t understand a lick of it otherwise, the pink-haired woman knew enough about people to at least make out a tone of annoyance within the sister’s voice there.

Maybe unhappy about how abrupt he was? It was true, he’d been rather cut and dry there with his introduction, already having been turned around before speaking his name barely loud enough to be heard over the background noise of Bellflower City. Though the part of the city they were within was indeed desolate, other parts were notβ€”chatter could be heard from people, cars, and lots of other sounds resonated throughout the whole metropolis.

Evande kept her crystal-eyes on Fyren and his sister while it was the Ralts holding boy was quiet. ”Wull, ji inu shun. Insrikecu wiersulf.”

As soon as it was those words were said, Fyren seemed to look around in a rather anxious manner, face tinged a shade of pink similar to her own hair. β€œI-H-M-My name i-is Fyren. You can call me. . . . Fyr.” he stuttered out, before looking back to his sister. β€œWaus shaus aulrojhs? I kin's rniw, waus os irauw? Dok I sauw os rojhs? Shielk I ji laucr aunk sull shum si caull mu Fyren aunk nis Fyr, ir ausr shum of shuw'zu suun Juren?”

While it was that the girl shouted something back at her brother, Evande just kept staring, quiet with that same expression on her face, Micah was staring on at the scene in curiosity as well. While it was that the sister frowned, she spoke, β€œI'm Diavane. You can call me Avane. As you can probably tell, unless you're ridiculously stupid and think that blue hair is a natural occurrence, this annoying little brat is my brother.” At least Evande had a name to go with the face now instead of just associating her as Fyr’s sister. . . . But she’d been right at least, definitely siblings with how they regarded one another, no doubt about that at all.

It was at this point that the blonde girl finally managed to wander up to the group, standing near them seeming as uncertain as before, she began with an apology, seemingly looking around to all of their faces, before she stopped mid-word upon looking at Shortie. One of Evande’s eyebrows rose at her reaction to him and to the fact that she looked surprisingly similar to the kid. Geez, they could be related. The girl’s Arcanine suddenly lurched down, a fierce growl working from the Fire-type’s throat while it looked at Miles as well. Hugging her PokΓ©mon’s neck, she seemed to be trying to keep him in place, β€œI’m sorry, he doesn’t usually do- Ow, Mo’Ai, stop! Come on! β€œI don’t know what’s gotten into him… I’m really so-” When it was she looked right at Miles, the girl stopped speaking altogether as it was her Arcanine continued to stare at Miles, not looking so nice.

Even though she wasn’t so fond of Shortie, Evande kept herself on guard in case the Arcanine decided to spring on him or something, if anything, it hadn’t been provoked. . . . The idea of a PokΓ©mon attacking a human for no reason didn’t sit well with her. Okay, so something weird is obviously up. So, she went from an all around pleasant morning to suddenly being surrounded by people, after it was she managed to run into the one other living soul on the sidewalk too. There had been no one else around, and yet somehow. . . .

When it was that the girl suddenly just dropped over like a bag of bricks, seemingly having fainted, Evande took an instinctive step forward, a yelp slipping from between her closed teeth at the suddenness of it. Even if she didn’t want to be around people, it wasn’t like she was going to wish that they’d up and drop dead where they stood! Or fainted for that matter! Micah cried out in surprise himself at seeing the girl tip to the side, though he was unable to do anything as he was still clinging onto his trainer’s shirt, held in her arms. When it was that the blonde girl had her fall broken by Fyr’s Umbreon and Espeon, a collective sigh of relief left both Evande and her Cubone, thankful that she hadn’t fallen smack to the pavement. Last thing she needed to get was a concussion, but why did she faint when she saw Shortie’s face . . . ?

Avane set the girl’s head in her lap, while it was she and Fyr chattered among themselves in that Arceus forsaken language of theirs. . . . When it was that she did indeed awaken though, she was in tears at the drop of a hat. Her Arcanine was still giving the lot of them the stare down, looking ready to jump at any second. A sigh slipped from Evande though while it was Fyr seemed to be doing his best to console her, wiping her tears away, Avane asking her what was wrong.

An expression broke over Evande’s face though at seeing the girl’s tears though, she didn’t care for people, or she tried not to, she did her best to avoid others so that she might not get involved with their problems, she had enough of her own to worry about, but anytime someone showed up in front of her with a clear display of discontentment or anything of the sort, she always caved. Gaaaah, for the love of Arceus, damn it. . . . Evande mentally cursed, letting out an exasperated sigh. The girl’s crying pulled at her heart, she was a young girl, probably only fourteen or so, and something was very apparently wrong if she suddenly just passed out before it was she broke into a fit like this when she woke up.

I’m going to hate myself for getting caught up with this later, I know I am, but she’s crying and I cannot just leave her like this. Evande had the urge to plant the palm of her hand into her face for going ahead and making the choose to stayβ€”she wasn’t so very desperate to find Ulric that she would ignore a kid in tears.

A step was taken forward by Evande, Micah in her arms looking down at the girl with his head turned in an awkward angle from how he was being held. Evande knew that her breast bindings were loose, but she had a little leeway for now to move with, she’d be all right so long as she didn’t snap around. A look of concern on her face, the pink-haired girl was about ready to kneel down when it was she heard, β€œYeah, okay. She seems...good. Fine. She's alive. So I'm just gonna...go.” With that, she turned her head back to look at Shortieβ€”hearing the tone in his voice, the awkwardness of it. . . . He threw his thumb up and over his shoulder, pointing to the direction that Zach had gone off in. A lackadaisical smile was thrown her way from him, "We'll talk later about that Charizard, okay? Okay."

β€œUhhh. . . .” was about all she could manage out before it was that Miles turned and left. Staring off in the direction he’d gone still, blinking while not wholly knowing what to make of how he’d acted as opposed to before, a musing noise slipped from her throat. Even the most immature people have soft-sides. she rationalized it, shaking her head. And of course he’d go and tack on a comment about Fafnir before going, probably to try to save face or something like that. Taking in a deep breath though, Evande turned her head back toward the sniffling girl and knelt down above her, sitting uncomfortably close to both her, Avane and Fyr with his PokΓ©mon. The girl’s Arcanine was still a menacing presence. . . .

Setting Micah down for the moment, Evande sat there, quiet, not completely sure what it was she needed to do here. Soothing another’s tears was not something she was always good at, but she could certainly try, she’d been through enough tears in her lifetime to know how miserable you had to feel in order to succumb to them. She just sat there awkwardly, looking at the tear-ridden girl while it was she really had no inkling of what to do in order to make her feel better, all Evande knew was that she’d looked at Miles before managing to faint. And Shortie had . . . left.

β€œI-It’s okay now, you don’t have to cry. . . .” she said softly, before it was there was a noise, followed by a blue tinted light shooting out of the side of her backpack. Eyes wide from the abruptness of it, she turned her head up and looked to her side as it was the light wore away and left in its stead a serpentine, graceful figure. Tail waving in the air, form as lithe and lovely as always, there was Maris. Geez, everyone sure loves popping out of their PokΓ© Balls on me don’t they? she asked herself as it was Maris looked at her trainer, and to the still crying girl.

β€œMiiiiiiilo?” she seemingly questioned, gesturing to the girl with her fan-like tail. Evande didn’t have to know PokΓ©speak to understand what Maris was asking.

β€œAh, y-yeah, she’s upset over something; I don’t quite know what though. . . .”

The Milotic gave a nod in response to her trainer before it was she bent her head down, gazing at the blonde in a gentle manner. β€œLotic.” Maris spoke softly, and Evande knew what she was up to, she was doing what Milotic did best, and that was using their strange empathy to soothe one of their strife. Maris had her eyes shut, and seemed to be focusing upon the girl, her body taking on a rather unearthly glow. Anytime there was a person in tears, Maris never hesitated to come out to pacify them, ever since she’d evolved from a Feebas.

A bit of a smile formed over the bespectacled woman’s lips at this notion, the girl would feel better in no time if she accepted Maris’ aid. But, why it was she’d so suddenly fainted as she had, that was something that Evande didn’t know, and it was something she wanted to know. It’d happened as soon as she had set eyes upon Miles, and if he was gone, so was the reason behind the girl’s sudden incident. He’d left rather awkwardly. Shortie definitely rubs me the wrong way, but he’s the catalyst for this girl’s little outburst.

Shutting her eyes, Evande decided on what to do nowβ€”pulling her bag toward her front, Evande dug around inside the thing for a specific ball, and upon finding it, she yanked it free of the bag’s confinesβ€”a Heal Ball. Bringing the ball up to full size, she released the PokΓ©mon that lay waiting inside in yet another flash of light as Maris continued at what she did best.

Appearing perched on the cement after the light ebbed away was a rather unusual sight, with a rather oval body, wings drawn in, as it stood on the tips of its feet was a Togekiss, Evangeline. β€œToge?”

β€œEvangeline, I need you to track someone down for me, and to draw them back here if you would?” Lowering her arm, Evande looked at the avian PokΓ©mon.

It came with a nod, β€œKiss!”

A smile formed over Evande’s lips, β€œThank you . . . now who I want you to find won’t be too far from hereβ€”he should be easy to spot because he’s a short blonde kind of has an annoying look to him and he’s probably tailing a trainer who has an Absol with him as well, his name is Miles and the other’s name is Zach. Got it?”

β€œTogekiss!” she announced, before it was she spread her wings up, taking off to seek out this person. It didn’t take her too long to do so, as her trainer had said, the blonde trainer hadn’t been far away at all . . . so, she did what she was asked, Evangeline swooped down before the boy and the Absol accompanied trainer. Remaining there, midair before prattling on, β€œToge, Togeki! Kiss!” She urged the them on. Whether they followed, or even got the gist of the message was up to them. . . .

#, as written by Kuroe
Mira was trying to figure out what was going on. All she could tell was that she was lying with her head in someone’s lap, and they were wiping away her tears… Who would be doing that? She couldn’t really see clearly right now, but she could hear someone asking her questions. She brought her own hand up to her face, rubbing away her tears and trying to mumble her apologies. It came out more like gibberish than anything else, and her voice broke like she was about to cry again.

She was going to let herself, too. The feelings she had been pushing down for so long had come rushing back to the surface when she had seen that face… Feelings of fear, the fear that she was just living in a dying dream… But more so was the fear that, even in a dream, she couldn’t hope to live up to what she asked of herself.

It felt, and sounded, to Mira, that her heart was beating so fast that it would burst out of her chest. But… It sounded like it was fading. Like there was a lullaby playing. It was so peaceful… Calm… Mira’s vision snapped into focus and her back straightened and shot up straight. What was… she looked behind her. Another girl, one of the people who had been standing in front of her earlier was sitting on the ground… As if…

Mira turned bright red. Had she just fainted in front of all these people…?

β€œAh… I…” She was about to say something, but realized that there were wet feeling streaks running down her face. She looked behind her again and nearly jumped into the air when she saw the face of a Milotic right in front of hers. Mo’Ai, who still looked angry, padded over to her and placed a paw on her forehead. β€œEh? What’s-β€œ she was cut off as he pushed her back into the girl’s lap by her head and looked at the Milotic, growling softly.

Mira blinked and stayed still. When Mo’Ai did something like that, it was usually because she was making herself freak out. So, right now, she just had to… She felt the calming sensation fall over her again. It wasn’t very comfortable, but she tried not to fight it. Though she did sit up again, much to the annoyance of Mo’Ai.

β€œI’m sorry for the trouble…” she said while looking at the small cluster of people around her. The boy from earlier… The blonde one who… She cut herself off before she thought of his face. Before she thought of Him. Needless to say, he was no longer here. She didn’t know whether to think of that as a good thing or a bad thing, but… she sighed. Better to just not think about it. Like everything else…

I believe I have found out my problem, and its standing right in front of me.

Zachary Mellko

Once again, Zachary was completely confused by the turn of events that had followed. Sure, crazy things always happened on the midget islands of Lobelia, but this: this was just insane. He went from finally leaving all of those peoples behind, hoping to catch up on some old places and ruins, and now there was a small, annoying blonde behind him. What the hell? Zachary put his hand to his temple, and did a quick recap.

As soon as Zach walked away, the two blue haired people introducing themselves in weird, hard to pronounce names: Zach wasn't even going to bother, so he simply thought of them as Av and Fyr. Then the little blonde girl started getting mopey. From what he could hear, it sounded like an Arcanine had gotten loose that belonged to her, and was being all heroic and such. Whatever was going on, Zach then heard the girl make a sound like she was about to pass out, and only then did he glance back to see her falling towards the ground. In a wicked flash of light, an Umbreon and Espeon jumped out of their pokeballs to rescue the falling girl. Zack remembered giving a small smirk before turning around to continue walking, thinking about how amazing Pokemon were to be able to react. No mere human could have done such a feat, and everybody knew it.

With that, the two blue haired people continued their incoherent chattering in that foreign language of theirs, but it was slowly getting quieter the more we walked away. He remembered turning his head to his Absol, thinking about that Umbreon and Espeon. He then made a statement about how it would be interesting if little Eve became one of those two, but he dismissed the thought. For now, he just wanted to find some piece and quiet. After all the scramble around the girl, Zack heard a faint, annoying voice in the background mentioning that he was happy she wasn't dead, something about a Charzard, and then Zack heard the echo of footsteps. A pit formed in his stomach, and led to where he was now.

Hello, best buddy of mine! I told you I wouldn't leave you waiting for long! Did I hear your name was Zach? I barely caught it from back there. You got mine, right? Just in case: it's Miles. I'm soooo done with those losers, so we can go wherever you want now! We're gonna have the best fun together." All Zack really caught out of that was a bunch of sped up garbage being spewed from this kid's mouth. Zack resisted the urge to punch him as he stopped walking and turned around to face him. Zach stood roughly half a foot taller than the short stack, but that didn't make him feel any better. His sunglasses were right overtop of his eyes, hiding the harsh stare that he was giving the Miles guy. Absol, however, had nothing to hide her annoyed stare.

"Kid. Piss off. I don't like you, and don't need you." Zack said in his normal rude tone. He wasn't in the best of moods at the moment, but he knew that sounding like his normal self wouldn't go over well with all of those people around. "All you are is deadweight and hot air, so do us all a favour and go the eff away." Zack turned swiftly around, Absol giving Miles a hard, narrow stare before following suit. However, as soon as he turned around, a Togekiss was in front of him, and he couldn't help but curse. "Oh for..." It wasn't just that the thing had annoyingly startled him, but it meant that somebody had taken the time to track him down and give him some form of message. Zachary tilted his sunglasses down and motioned for the Togekiss to do whatever it was going to do, to which it kept doing what Pokemon always do and was trying to lead them back to where they came. He hung his head in annoyance, and muttered a 'For the love of Arceus.' as he turned around.

"Alright loser, we're turning around." That was all Zack said to Miles as he turned back around, hands shoved into his pockets. His gun, at least, was in his back pocket; if he needed some form of leverage, he would get it easily.

As Zachary and Absol walked back, not caring if that Miles dude had followed, Zach began to study the Togekiss. He actually quite enjoyed the little pokemon, but liked it better as a Togepi. It wasn't because it was more badass then, it was just more useful as an 'adorable' bargaining chip. Now, Zachary rarely used Pokemon in such a heinous way, but he didn't have much use for a Togepi: to him, all he could do with it was give it to some trainer that wanted one, to which he was more than happy to do.

Finally reaching back and Zach's sunglasses pushed back to his face, he pushed his toque up a little and stood a piece away from Pinky and the rest. He figured that the Togekiss belonged to one of them. He left it like that for a bit, then bit out some words. "Well, I'm here." His tone was more annoyed than rude, as if someone had awoken him from a fine slumber. It sure as hell felt like it though, since Pinky (or whoever the Togekiss belonged to) was intruding on his own peace and quiet. He waited for a few more seconds, and then added. "If this is about my name, I already told you."

The Iapetus Cliffs - Sanctuary of Coelus

Located within its grasp is a ruined and desolate temple. Nothing but ruins now, this crumbling sanctuary is full of murals and hieroglyphs that no one has been able to decipher thanks to the language being one completely lost to time, and unique to the Lobelia Islands. From what people have been able to discern, however, the temple within the Cliffs was one dedicated to the Pokemon who was the embodiment of Space; Palkia. . . .

Marituma Cave

A rather simplistic port that serves as the point of arrival for most people intent on visiting Begonia Crater. There is not much of interest in this particular place, and there are not many people who actually call this place their home, but those few who do should be noted for their pride in carving out a living in such a hostile place. The Fiamme Plains

The Fiamme Plains by RolePlayGateway

A rather flat, desolate stretch of near flat rock that stretches on into the distance. . . .

Protea Town by RolePlayGateway

Something of a tourist trap; it once was a traditional little place like Amaryllis Village, but time has changed it greatly. The atmosphere here is fake and shallow, entirely created for people seeking cheap thrills and fun based off the Lobelia Islands' past and mythos.

Shockstone Cavern

Shockstone Cavern by RolePlayGateway

A cavern that is filled with strange stones which seem to gather electricity and stores them away until they are touched. Peony Camp

Peony Camp by RolePlayGateway

Yet another overgrown campsite. Similar in atmosphere to Celandine Camp, this place is unkempt and slightly on the unsettling side.

The Mellko family who reside there are very amiable folk, who strive to appeal to not only the pokemon they take care of, but the people who go through the area. However, business has been on a slow decrease for unknown reasons, and it doesn't help that their only heir to the property has left home...

Chrysanthemum Town

A rather picturesque little place . . . although it is rather quiet and uneventful, it is beautiful nonetheless. The whole town is full of ever-blossoming wild flowers that have seemed to engulf the whole town--even the homes are encased by crawling plants and flowers. This place is particularly inhabited by Bellossom and Lilligant, as well as their evolution lines.

Coast of Tranquillity

A very peaceful beach which is quiet and relaxing to anyone seeking out such a place. Mostly untouched by people, save a sparse few tourists and perhaps a couple of visitors from Chrysanthemum Town, this coastline sometimes finds itself visited by a legend.

Lake Kalliope

Delphinium Island Lake Kalliope Owner: RolePlayGateway

A rather sizable freshwater lake located deep within the Shrouded Jungle. Given the untouched nature of the island in particular, this lake is very clean, and clear, and possesses a rather high mineral content to its waters. Because of its purity, it is believed that a beautiful and graceful Pokemon lives here upon its shores, away from the taint of human world.

The Lucid Shores - Cave of Nobility

A very strange place that feels rather . . . vacant. Seemingly devoid of anything but the lapping waves upon the coast, this place makes it seem as if you are one of the very last people alive. There is, however, something quite notable here. Hidden away by the area's natural environment is the mouth of a cave, an opening into an underground grotto right in the ground. It is in this cave that two rather obscure figured have been reported.

Celandine Camp

A small, somewhat overgrown campsite that seemed to have been used quite frequently in the past. It has not been kept up in the last years due to the fact that so few people actually travel to Delphinium Island, and as such when it is one wants to actually use this place for a reprieve from travelling, they themselves have to clean it up a bit. This place can come off rather creepy due to its rather desolate appearance.

The Shrouded Jungle - Altar of Aevum

Protea Town

Heliotrope Island Protea Town Owner: RolePlayGateway

Something of a tourist trap; it once was a traditional little place like Amaryllis Village, but time has changed it greatly. Now it exists only as a way station for anyone who might be seeking to visit the large lake located in the heart of the island. . . . The atmosphere here is fake and shallow, entirely created for people seeking cheap thrills and fun based off the Lobelia Islands' past and mythos.

The Shimmering Edge

Named for the fact that when the sun is coming to set, it can be viewed perfectly from this beach, and at times, Krabby and other such Pokemon will wander out from their homes to blow bubbles, which are known to refract the rays of light from the sun. In effect, the glittering waters and the glistening bubbles make the whole horizon look as if it is shimmering as the sun sinks below the sea.

Ends of Green - The Twisted Rim

A stony patch of land; it is rather flat and simplistic in appearance. Upon this place there are several Rock, Ground and Steel-Type Pokemon found wandering freely, it is also here that one can find themselves wandering into a rather hidden cave. Dwelling within this cave is a supposed myth.

Mellko's BTC (Breeding and Training Centre)

A quaint place just north of Bellflower City, the Mellko Family runs the famous BTC of the island. It may not look like much, since the house sticks out on a hillside, but the yard behind it stretches all the way to the beach. It's range of landscapes help keep pokemon of all types happy, yet the property isn't too big that they have lost many pokemon. The Mellko family who reside there are very amiable folk, who strive to appeal to not only the pokemon they take care of, but the people who go through the area. However, business has been on a slow decrease for unknown reasons, and it doesn't help that their only heir to the property has left home...

Laetitia Grasslands

A flat and rather plain stretch of land that encompasses most of the main part of the island. Due to its rather simple appearance, this part of the island is actually rather relaxing in atmosphere, and time seems to pass relatively slowly here. There are many Grass-Type Pokemon scattered throughout this place.

Peony Camp

Cypress Island Peony Camp Owner: RolePlayGateway

Yet another overgrown campsite. Similar in atmosphere to Celandine Camp, this place is unkempt and slightly on the unsettling side. If any misplaced traveler were to try to stay here, it would require them to tidy the place up more than a bit. Seeing the condition of this place makes it pretty blatant that no one actually inhabits this little cluster of islands.

Begonia Crater

Begonia Island Begonia Crater Owner: RolePlayGateway

The crater lodged within the remnants of this once large volcano; within it the ever-active earth can still be seen in action, churning and belching up more and more magma by the second. . . . Legends and stories speak of this place having a Heatran as its guardian; though people of the modern day have never seen it themselves. But, it is said that if one were to play a glass flute, made of the lava spewed up by the volcano itself, that Heatran would show itself before the player. . . .

Shockstone Cavern

A cavern that is filled with strange stones which seem to gather electricity and stores them away until they are touched. Heavily populated by Joltik and Galvantula, there are still other sorts of Electric-Type Pokemon which inhabit this place, and most noteworthy and rumored of these Pokemon is a certain beast believed to be of the element itself.

The Capricious Waters - The Fishing Spot

The large and rather lovely lake located within Heliotrope Island. The main point of interest for anyone who decides to come to the island--it is often visited by tourists. This is also home to a rather reputed fishing spot, aptly named that. . . . Rumors float around of people having reeled in rather unexpected catches.

Lichen Port - The Hot Springs

A rather simplistic port that serves as the point of arrival for most people intent on visiting Begonia Crater. There is not much of interest in this particular place, and there are not many people who actually call this place their home, but those few who do should be noted for their pride in carving out a living in such a hostile place. Along with the locals pride, one thing to note within this Port is the natural Hot Springs which can be accessed from inside the Pokemon Center here.

Heliotrope Island

An island that houses a very large, very clear freshwater lake. Nestled in the center of a rather thick jungle, it lies, home to an array of aquatic Pokemon. Beyond the fact that it possesses an unusually large lake, this island is also home to something of an unusual site as well in the way of a cavern that has to it a rather strange atmosphere.

Cypress Island

A small gathering of islands compiled together to form one; flat and barren by the standards of the other islands around it, this place is one which is known for the fact that it is otherwise uninhabited by people . . . and for its grasslands. However, lying upon the edge of the largest landmass in this little grouping happens to be a strange and discomforting place. Bearing rocks and strange formations that cannot be logically explained, this spot is eerie and unsettling, as opposed to the rather lax atmosphere of the rest of the area.

Amaryllis Village

Mullein Island

The smallest island of the Lobelia group. Located upon it is not much of particular interest, other than the fact that the place is peaceful, calm and serene, it provides a nice change of pace for anyone who might be tired of Bellflower City's hustle and bustle. One particular thing of interest here, happens to be fact that a number of tropical wild flowers are known to bloom here year round, all over the island.

Delphinium Island

A reportedly dangerous island. Upon it are two freshwater lakes and a rather deep and foreboding jungle. Despite the fact that there are reports of rare Pokemon inhabiting the jungles of this place, many trainers are not courageous enough to brave the thick foliage in order to seek them out . . . and for that they cannot be blamed. There is not a single human soul who consistently inhabits this island, as such it is mostly untouched, with no traces of human life to be found but for a single, collapsing ruin housed deep within the jungle flora.

Anemone Island

The largest island of the collection, it holds to it the most noteworthy sites and places, including the resort metropolis known as Bellflower City.

Begonia Island

Anemone Island Begonia Island Owner: RolePlayGateway

The remnants of a once-very large volcano. Having collapsed into itself long ago during a past eruption, what now remains is a crescent shaped mass of land that still produces lava. Because of how it is the land reshaped itself following the large scale eruption in the past, one is able to walk along the rim of the crater remnants to gaze down into the bowels of the earth to see it belching up magma.

Phlox Village

Anemone Island Phlox Village Owner: RolePlayGateway

An abandoned settlement nestled on the side of Mt. Gelare. Nearly every building here has become dilapidated and hazardous. Why it was that people up and left this place suddenly is unknown, but there are stories of it being cursed, of people vanishing into the night to never be seen again . . . nowadays it's mostly an avoided site, but those few people who have decided to wander here sometimes have been known to disappear entirely, or to return from this place seemingly so anxious that they refuse to speak of what occurred.

The Iapetus Cliffs - Sanctuary of Coelus

A series of sharp, steep cliff faces located rather close to Bellflower City. A dangerous place, this jagged and rather haphazard location was once a hub of interest for researchers and explorers. Located within its grasp is a ruined and desolate temple. Nothing but ruins now, this crumbling sanctuary is full of murals and hieroglyphs that no one has been able to decipher thanks to the language being one completely lost to time, and unique to the Lobelia Islands. From what people have been able to discern, however, the temple within the Cliffs was one dedicated to the Pokemon who was the embodiment of Space; Palkia. . . .

Diamond Dust Trail

A strange bog that is often engulfed in a very thick mist. Called by its known name because of the fact that this mist seems to consume all who enter into it. This place is rather desolate, and is avoided by the few who choose not to heed the warnings and rumors about it. Just what may lie within this foggy place is unknown, even to those who have investigated it and managed to return. . . .

Mt. Gelare - The Crystal Grounds

Florens Woods - Clearing of Grace

The woods which surround Mt. Gelare, known to possess a worn and beaten pathway that happens to encircle the base of the mountain, this verdant patch of woodland also houses the easiest manner in which to ascend it. Branching off the main path is a nearly forgotten way into the deeper reaches of the forest, and into the stony grasp of Mt. Gelare. Traces of stone and ruins can be found scattered throughout the thick foliage of these woods, what they are and what they were is unknown as they are too damaged and lost to time to know. It is said that two legends can be found within this place.

Marituma Cave

Anemone Island Marituma Cave Owner: RolePlayGateway

A seaside cave where it is that people can come to simply watch the sea . . . it is notable for the fact that it provides an uninhibited viewing of the ocean and the waves which come rolling in onto the shore. Occasionally, abnormally large Pokemon have been known to show up here, whether caught by an angler or merely because of other reasons.

Temple of the Forgotten

A nearly forgotten ruin settled upon a small outcrop of land on the boundaries of Anemone Island. Known in the past for the fact that it was sealed up for reasons unknown, and that no matter what was attempted, the temple seal remained impenetrable. To this day it is unknown what lies within the walls of this place, the only clues are the fragmented bits of truth left to the people of Amaryllis Village, and those bits of truth regard the beginnings of a dark myth, which would be better to leave to mere memory. . . .

The Fiamme Plains

A rather flat, desolate stretch of near flat rock that stretches on into the distance. . . . This place is too hot for plants to grow, and scattered throughout it are many geysers and other such things. As reported by tourists and locals, the blurred and shimmering figure of a large creature has been seen dashing across. These stories are believed by some, and are dismissed by others as mere illusion, as simple mirages caused by the intense heat put off by the volcano.

Re: Pokemon: Legends of a Sleeping Sun

Pfft, oi, the whole matter of reverse traps got me again, I managed to place Evande in the shoes of another RT and it got me laughing due to the situation. XD Ar tonelico Qoga, character was pretending to be a guy because her life was way under threat and stuff, but before this big whole race ordeal thing she has to undergo, she decides to chill out alone, bathe in peace . . . but then her male best friend, thinking she's a guy, wanders into the public bath himself, finds her as well, a her and winds up getting a very loud scream out of her before she slaps him and runs off, leaving him confused and not realizing that she was his friend.

Yeah, it doesn't actually dawn on this guy that his male best friend is female until afterward. But . . . putting Evande in her shoes just made the situation funnier to me.
