Introduction

Retribution is a funny word. Unfortunately it’s no longer recognized or used in this time and in this world. Some people would describe the world as great, fun, surprising, but ever since the plague hit and the new widower king has taken charge. Ever since this happened, both at the same time, the kingdom, Balor, had gone to chaos, and worse, the plague has started to spread. This led to the separation of the rich and the poor, the people with less money being put closer to the plague while the wealthier are kept behind a wall and safe from the infected.

They were like two different worlds. The rich had everything they wanted, two story houses, backyards, beautiful horses, quality food, and an actual roof over their heads. The poor, on the other hand, suffered greatly from the plague. Riots broke out downtown and the place just reeked plainly of death because of how many dead corpses were found lying around without being properly disposed of. Usually, the king would do something about this, burning the bodies and searching for a sort of cure, but he did nothing after finding out his wife was taken by it without even baring a child. In fear, he hid his adopted child within the walls of the rich, shielding him from the impurity of the poor and ill. Because of this, the little prince had no clue of what suffering lied just beyond the large walls he had no permission to go near.

It's been a while 20 years since the plague began and started to spread. Luckily it hasn't gotten out of Balor yet, but people now fear that the plague will eventually leak out of their small kingdom and affect others. On the 21st year of the plague's start, there became the recognizing of four special people; a simple low-life thief, a young guard in the line of duty, the wealthy daughter who cries over the poor, and the prince who found out the truth of his future kingdom the hard way.

This is the story of four young adults who eventually come together on, at first, bad terms with each other until they realize how many similarities they share. That is when their plan developed to overthrow the king was put into action. They called it Retribution.

The Thief - The thief was originally born a low life, one of those poor children who grew up in the dirt and worked to earn money rather than inheriting it from rich parents like most wealthy. He's not your typical "Robin Hood" figure, since he plays it solo when he steals. He does, though, hand it back the poor, mostly those that need medicine for their plague. Even though this puts his life in danger, having to cross the wall of guards between the two separate worlds, he still does it anyways, his identity remaining unknown for his whole life and continuing without stop until his actions make a change. But he almost always steals from one house in particular, the richest of the rich besides the King since he sees them on having unlimited money, but his only problem is being stopped by the guard that just never seems to give him a break. The Guard - This young woman actually used to be a regular girl who lived outside the kingdom of Balor on farmlands. She was one of those middle class citizens, not being too poor or too rich, which she seems to be content about. Her parents then moved her to Balor which was just when the plague appeared. After losing his family, she became a guard in hopes that she could do something to assist the stopping of the plague and save lives though all she has been ordered to do was make sure no one crossed into the rich, and no one crossed into the poor, which she is still bothered about and wanting to change although she cannot. The only way she thinks she is changing things is by letting a friend of hers through the gates to donate money, but while that happens, she has a thief to stop who continuously leaps over the walls. The Wealthy Daughter - She is the richest person in the kingdom, besides the King himself. Although she is rich, and her parents care nothing for the poor and only for themselves, she is the exact opposite and is forced to put on an act to blend in. She, unlike her parents, has a very strong love for the ill and helpless, constantly sneaking out of her house and asking the female guard to let her though since they are close friends. That's when she smuggles out money from her housekeepings and gives it away before quickly returning back, only to find many expensive items, like necklaces and gems stolen by a thief. Also when she gets back, she finds herself being visited by a handsome young man who questions about the world beyond the gate. (May control her wealthy family | Reserved - Kileon)

The Prince - Finally, there is the young prince who is almost always kept hidden inside the small castle or at least within the walls of the rich. Because of his father's loss of his wife, the King grew extra protective of his adoptive son (since the Queen could not bare children in time) which made him stay as far away as possible from the plague, or people in general, explaining the reason why he hardly knew anyone besides the butlers and maids that passed in and out of his room. From time to time though, he'll sneak out of his room and the castle to take a peek at the dark and cloudy world outside. He never has crossed into the world of the poor because all the guards don't allow him, but he has constantly been hanging around a rich girl who's been explaining to him about the world of the poor. Rules

1 - Please Reserve ; Reservations are going to be taken in the OOC or by PMs! Unfortunately, I won't be accepting anything other than that such as someone just randomly submitting a character sheet. Even if it's well done, I'm afraid I'll just have to ignore it! (´；д；`)

2 – Only lasts 42 hours ; Yup, only two days for you to get a character in, unless you ask for more time. I’ll give you more, but if you don’t say anything, your name will be taken off the character and free for anyone else to take. Just like that! (´Ａ｀。)

3 – Literacy ; Hey, I don’t really care about this rule very much, but that doesn’t mean you should try typing in another language to us! Seriously, try to write decent English, yeah? Oh, and also that means at least 7+ sentences per post. You can go under a few times, but you know the saying, three strikes and you’re out!

4 – Romance, Gore, Etc ; Romance is encouraged, Gore can be included, Drama is encouraged, Swearing is allowed [color=red]only in character, but all has to be PG-13 or slightly R rated. I’m sure we all know what that means. ┐(‘～`；)┌

5 – Anime ; You weren’t expecting this were you? Maybe you were. I don’t know. But yeah. Use anime pictures please? And stick to using the same character. It doesn’t matter how many pictures as long as there is one. (ﾉ-ω-)ﾉ

6 – Sticking To Story ; I made this story, I made the four main characters, so try your best to stick with their story and the whole rp in general! If you do, I’ll love you. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

7 – Effort ; School’s started (sucks, I know) but try your hardest to do a nice job on your character, posts, and try to post at least twice or three times a week, please? (✌ﾟ∀ﾟ)

8 – Don’t Be A Butt ; Exactly as its put. Don’t be a butt. Don’t fight in OOC, seriously, just don’t. It makes me feel sad. You don’t want me sad. （；へ：）

9 – Creativity ; Make your characters different from others! Sure, a few things in common are alright, but what I don’t want to see is a super nice character and another super nice character, or a rebel and another rebel. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

10 – Random Words ; I want the rules to be ten because that’s a nice number. Did you like my faces? If you did, answer me in the OOC so I know you read over my rules, yeah? (;ﾞ°´ω°´)
