The mysterious island of Neverland is where anything is possible. The very aura of the island oozes magic and innocent belief in the mystical. The island is a place of adventure, where evil pirates, seductive mermaids, a gang of Indians, mysterious fairies, and a group of rambunctious youths run about. The island is large, with beautiful forests and beaches with clear blue sea water along the banks. The island has many caverns and undiscovered caves that only the truly adventurous would ever explore. But, how could people not know about such a lovely island?

Peter Cross is the leader of the Lost Children. These children are those who couldn’t survive much longer in the regular world. Whether is was abusive parents, homelessness, depression, or any other issues that once could have, Peter would bring a youth he thought that could be saved back to the island. By brining the youth back to the island he gave them eternal life, and essentially eternal childhood. If they remained on the island, they could never grow into adults. Some left the island after a while so that they could grow up and have families, while some children have been on the island for over 100 years. No one truly knows Peter’s motives. But, all of the Lost Children consider Peter to be their savior.

The pirates are those who wish to steal the immortality from the inhabitants of Neverland. They believe that the fairies have bestowed magical capabilities to the people of Neverland, Being pirates who are lead by greed, they can not stand others having the power they themselves lack. Therefore, the pirates are constantly attempting to capture and kill the Lost Children. The mermaids are often assisting the pirates, due to their spiteful nature.

The Indians are the oldest inhabitants of Neverland. They do not have eternal life for they believe that the fairy magic is evil. The Indians are a strong people, who have a love-hate relationship with the Lost Children. They will join forces when fighting the pirates, but when outside the battlefield they will often capture members of each other’s groups for a sort of game. They never injure the kidnapped person, but rather let them go after about a day’s time.

Some of the youths of Neverland are old enough for more teenage and adult emotions such as love. The Lost Children have made a vow to remain like children and to not have relationships, and yet it seems as though some can’t resist the calling of true love.

So, what will happen to the children who have been taken to this island, saved from their wretched existences in the real world?
