Places to be...
Convent Garrison Alpha- The most active human settlement in the crusade against the bots. This nano-city consisting of roughly 100,000 mercenaries, soldiers, pilots, mages and hackers lies approximately fifty miles from London, and consequently, Sector Konig.

The Outskirts- Pretty much all of the area outside of Garrison Alpha, moslty consisting of ruined cities and badlands. These areas are almost constantly under bot surveillence and patrols.

Convent Reaper- What was once a settlement rivaling the size of Garrison Alpha, this convent was wiped out by an accidental lapse in the guard shift that allowed the bots to overrun the settlement in the dead of night. Now the only person that lives there is Reaper himself, a slightly deranged young man with nothing better to do that wallow in self pity. This area is barely a mile from Alpha.

London, Sector Konig- One of the greatest cities in the world, or at least what's left of it. The decrepit metropolis lies in the shadow of the massive city-like mothership known as Sector Konig; The center of machine activity. Almost no intelligence about this place is readily available due to bot patrols, but most leaders assume this is where the bots replicate themselves and where the 'central intelligence' is located.

Things to know...
People- Barely 5% of the human population remains scattered across the globe, and over the past ten years or so racism has almost completely vanished. It was of course, replaced by hate for the bots. Almost everyone lives in a convent somewhere. In this day and age, everyone, and I mean everyone has to have some sort of special skill to not only stay alive, but to keep up with the metahumans and mecha pilots in being useful to the communities. The most valuable of these specialists are probably hackers, mechanics, medics and of course, teachers.

The Bots/Toasters/Machines/Gearheads/Frackin Cyl...is that copy-writed?- Pretty much everyone has at least a basic knowldege of what we're up against. Big metal guys, aim for the joints, never let them get close enough to take a bite of you. You see an even bigger metal guy, a mech, you run like hell unless A) You have your own mech. B) You can bust out a storm of arcane fury. Or C) You have the manpower and resources to take em' out then and there.

The Outskirts- Never. Ever. Go out of your convent.

Flora and Fauna- Plants and animals have been mostly untouched by the bots flesh-eating spree, as they seem to prefer us over all other meats for some reason. However sad for humans, this has left each convent with a hefty amount of livestock and crops. On the outside, most cities whose parks weren't totally destroyed have been overrun by plant life.

The sky- Ever since the ships arrived, they pumped out some sort of exhaust...it's not like what we would consider exahust though. Whatever it is, it creates rain. This has kept the planet in a near-constant state of downpour, and even when it isn't raining the sky is heavily overcast.

Classes-

Civillian: The average humans of this post-apocalyptic nightmare. They can use any weapon physically possible by the human frame, and accomplish complex tasks spanning a wide variety of areas. Each Civillian has a 'job', such as medic, soldier or historian.

Pilots: The next step up from normal humans, pilots are those with the raw skill and affinity for machinery to pilot our own variations of the enemy machines: Mechs. Mechs are the iron steeds of humanity, giant robots spanning from ten to fifteen meters in height depending on make and decked out with weaponry and power. Each mech comes in one of the three basic types;
Attack type, the mid-weight mecha with balanced ballistics and missle-based weaponry.
Mobile type, the light-weight mecha with good speed and automatic weaponry, but suffer from low armor.
Defense type, the heavy-weight mecha with good armor and missle-based weaponry, but suffer from low speed.
All mechs have basic lever controls and a low-impact radar, and run on gasoline. For some reason, Pilots are clumsy when it comes to handling weapons of any kind and therefore only keep a single gun in the cockpit for those just-in-case moments.

Armorslayer: Humans who have been physically mutated by the chemical exhaust of the ships, these metahumans have been gifted with enhanced physical attributes. This includes strength, dexterity, speed, durability and agility. The strongest of Armorslayers have been known to be able to punch through the chestplate of the some enemy machines, hence the classe's name. The average metahuman can run up to sixty miles per hour for a short period of time, as well as lose a fair amount of blood before succumbing to wounds. Armorslayers have limited martial intelligence for an inexplicable reason, and choose to master only one specific weapon.

Mage: Easily the most powerful type of humankind as well as the rarest, practicioners of arcana have gained the power to manipulate certain attributes of the physical world via mutation by the exhaust. Mages can easily destroy a band of enemy machines, and solo an enemy mecha under the right conditions. Mages come in three types;
Force Mage- Utilizes psychic abilities to inflict or reduce kinetic damage, lift objects via telekinesis, and even bend light rays to become invisible.
Fire Mage- Creates and manipulates the raw power of heat a flame, forming explosions, controlled fires and melting metal.
Frost Mage- Controls the water vapor found in the air or any water present to shape ice armor, freeze joints and sometimes freeze a fully operational power core.
Like Pilots and Armorslayers, Mages have a severe dis-inclination towars wielding weaponry. They're clumsy with guns at their best, and absolutely dreadful with melee weapons. Even moreso than their conterparts though, Mages cannot even wear armor or most forms of clothing without feeling an extreme discomfort and ungainliness. Most believe it hinders their spellcasting, and choose to wear robes and wield staves to aim their magic. All Mages have a limit to how many spells they can cast a day, usually between three and seven before they become exhausted...and pushing any further would cause the individual to black out or worse.

Enemy Units-

1) Warriors- The basic units of the machine forces, weighing in at over 200 lbs. and standing at a height of 4 meters, almost twice the size of even the taller folk. They almost never use weapons, preferring to use their strength and size to pin down, pulverize or devour their target by opening the crevice connecting the neck and head to reveal a grotesque maw of dripping fangs and acidic saliva.

2) Shells- The primary mech units used by the machines, heavy, tough and damn hard to kill. They stand at 10 meters high and sport thick armor as well as heavy rifles, cannons or rocket launchers. Rarely, they are seen with laser cannons.

3) Guards- Another common mecha type for the bots, guards are mid-weight mechs specializing in mid-ranged combat. They are 12 meters high and utilize a shield in conjunction with either a rifle, machine-gun, laser rifle or a beam sword.
