Muscles aching, sweat dripping off of his forehead, the young man seethed and hissed as he tried to pull himself up the rocky crag surface of the mountainside. His fingers holding a death grip on the ledge, he briefly lost his footing and nearly let go of the outcropping, but he kept his iron grip on the rock to just barely avert plummeting to his doom. Summoning all of his strength, he managed to haul himself up despite the overwhelming pain in his body. Laying back once he had safely reached the platform, he gasped and wheezed from the exertion of climbing up as high as he did.
Sitting up a few moments later, he sighed, before wiping the sweat from his dirty brow with the back of his arm which was just as equally filthy.
"Hot damn. Where the HELL is Coral Resort Bay?" Pulling out a map he had came across during his travels, his finger traced around where it was supposed to be....and, with some confusion, he traced out and calculated his path....and where he eventually wound up currently. Eyes wide, he couldn't help but shout out. "What the--?! HOW DID I END UP ALL THE WAY OUT HERE?!" He groaned, flopping back and moaning, hand over his eyes. "I knew I shouldn't have made that left turn..."
As Tekno continued to walk along Route Zero, he crossed his arms back behind his head and glanced skyward. Taking things at a decent clip, he pulled his satchel in front of him and began to dig through his satchel, before pulling out a granola bar. He never much cared for the things, but he knew that they were nutritious and would give him needed energy for the travels ahead. Breaking it in half, he smiled as he turned to his partner walking beside him.
"Here," he stated, stopping just long enough to hand Tealth his half of the bar. Blinking, the Pokemon took it with his tail--using it as a sort of a makeshift limb. Gazing up at his trainer munching away, the Grass-type sniffed it lightly, before popping the whole thing in his mouth and beginning to chew. After a few seconds, he began to hop up and down--a sign that Tekno took that he liked it. Smiling lightly, he reached down to rub the small creature on his head. "Heh. Like it? Good. I'm glad."
Yawning lightly, he turned away to gaze off and wonder just precisely how far it would be for him to reach Coral Bay. It shouldn't take much longer than a day or so, he figured, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to stay out here and train Tealth a bit or not. ...No, he figured, find the Old One first, then focus on training. The Gym Challenge could wait until he got his priorities taken care of, first. Besides, Tekno needed to make sure the Mankey he recently caught (if that was technically legal) would be okay.
