In the prehistoric times, the Unova, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and other regions were combined into one single continent known as Pangealand. Pangealand split into the many different regions that it is now after several hundred million years. One region still holds clues to the mystery of pokemon as scientists are looking for the answer behind the creatures. A tribe of nativemen who call themselves the Pangeans have been trying to send away the scientists and using pokemon to harm them. As police and squads arrive to fend off the Pangeans, two legendary pokemon appeared to stop the battling, Sigmation and Omegatron. These towering gods stopped the fighting with a single strike tearing the region into two seperate landforms, the mainland and a small island off the coast. Now you, as yougs trainers, will go off on your journey and unlock more to the mystery of pokemon, but becareful since the Pangeans might attack at any time!

"Oh, I didn't see you there. Hello, my name is Professor Ash and I'm guessing you're the new trainers? Let's begin then, shall we? You must be Kanon, and you Tekno? Ah yes, Adrian! Good good. You're all here. Now, let me say this, you three are about to embark on a grand adventure. What mysteries might you solve, who knows, but your story starts now." Said Ash as he looked at the three new trainers. Ash looked at them and realized the potential they had and couldn't help but smile. He wears a long white lab coat and has his black shoes, clean as though they were new. His hair dangled down to his shoulders and shimmers silver in the light. He looked over at his assistant who brought out three pokeballs and set them on the table nearby. "Now then, within each pokeball I have a rare pokemon. Near extinct pokemon, though you might find them as not the greatest right now, trust me, they have potential. Each of these are your basic Fire, Water, Grass starter, but with caring love and hard work, they grow strong enough to balance out and become even in the battlefield. You see, Dark is weak to Fighting as Fighting is weak to Psychic and Psychic weak to Dark. These pokemon will balance out in this manner, don't ask me how or why. Pokemon are mysterious creatures and I am trying to solve the mystery of their existance. Now then, shall we get strarted?" he finally asked the three trainers as he walked over to the table and leaned over the pokeballs. "How shall we figure this out? Youngest to oldest? Rock, Paper, Scissors?"

(PS. He's not Ash Ketchum. Professor Ash is a whole nother person)

Kanon had to smile at the joke that Ash had just made. "Kinda corny Professor," He said as he leaned back against the wall, putting his hands behind his head to get comfortable.
"Those two can do what they want to decide who gets to choose first, I am fine getting whatever is left. My mom got her pokemon last and so will I," Kanon said as his mind wandered down memory lane. His mom had died ten years ago today...

Ten Years Ago
"Mom!" Kanon yelled as he ran into the house, "I got a perfect score on my tes..." He never finished his sentence, He noticed that his mother was lying face down on the floor.
"Mom!" Kanon shouted for a second time, this time the call was filled with urgency instead of jubilation, "Mom get up!" He said shaking her body but she didn't move. Kanon raced to the phone and grabbed it dialing for the police to come.
When they arrived they declared Kanon's mother dead, the cause of her death had never been discovered. Kanon knew in his heart that the death was not a natural one, but he also knew his mother would want him to be successful and happy.

Present
"This is all for you..." Kanon said softly as he shed a single tear, today marked the 10th anniversary of his mothers death.

*(I see we're still continuing the series running gag of naming Professors after trees. :3 xD)*

Pokemon are mysterious creatures and I am trying to solve the mystery of their existence. Now then, shall we get started? How shall we figure this out? Youngest to oldest? Rock, Paper, Scissors?"

Tekno Lahjik stood in the middle of the room, arms crossed lightly. He smirked, shaking his head. He glanced over towards Kanon, who had smiled.

"Kinda corny Professor," He said as he leaned back against the wall, putting his hands behind his head to get comfortable. "Those two can do what they want to decide who gets to choose first, I am fine getting whatever is left. My mom got her pokemon last and so will I,"

The young mechanist paused as he spotted a single tear sliding down the side of the young man's face, while it was all for someone. Confused as to who he was giving it for, the mechanic figured it had to be somebody he was close to. It had to be a family issue, or at perhaps just a close friend. He was a bit concerned, but now wasn't the time nor the place to pry into somebody else's personal life.

"Well, in that case, I suppose I'll go first." Tekno stated, stepping forward. He looked over the PokeBalls, and the displays that were set forth on the three Pokemon available. ...All of which Tekno had never seen before. Hell, this entire region had Pokemon that he had never seen before. Tekno had hailed from the region of Vokhan which was--relative to Psyonica, at least--completely on the opposite side of the planet. All of these Pokemon were unusual--foreign, to him. In front of him were three he had at least taken the liberty to do a bit of research on before coming to the lab this morning.

The first one was Krish, a Water type. Used to be found in great numbers, the Wailord population hunted them for food until they were all but extinct. They would evolve into Crall and Kinetiboster, both of which were also Psychic type. ...That had intrigued him, because his parents Nero Lahjik and Saika Lahjik were the Gym Leaders of Selenium City back in Vokhan, which specialized in Psychic types. However, while Tekno thought it would be amusing, he personally was more interested in taking a different direction than his parents, following his own path instead of their example...

Imber was the next one, a Fire type. Fire was interesting to Tekno, as he was a mechanist and inventor...and a LOT of machines, predominately automobiles, used some sort of internal combustion. However, Imber were known for being mischievous, to the point of being brats from what his research had told him. Of course, Tekno was sure that sort of behavior could be easily curbed with the proper training and if raised properly...but Imber evolved into the part-Dark type Garblaze and Bombardemon, the former of which was lazy and the latter of which was said to be so hot it was constantly conflagrant. ...The thought of being burned, as well as a Pokemon that was perpetually aflame probably wouldn't be propitious for his automations.

Which left the Grass type, Tealth. It wasn't particularly powerful, but it WAS fast. Again, Tekno assumed that weakness could be curved by proper training...and he was sure that the said weakness would be counteracted by the fact that once it evolved, it would become part Fighting type. Heh...now THERE was an interesting antithesis to his to parent's Psychic training. On top of that, it being a Grass type put it slightly at odds against Tekno's mechanical nature...though Tekno never designed anything in mind that wasn't eco-friendly, so...

The young man shook his head, realizing he was being over-analytical. Again.

"I think the choice should be fairly obvious to me," He spoke at least. "I'll go ahead and take the Grass starter, Tealth."

Of course, it would definitely be interesting, that was for damned sure. Besides, it was said Grass types were easy to raise, right?

Axel wandered around the small village and looked up one of the trees to see a Bellsprout hanging off one of it's branches. "A pokemon," Axel began looking away and towards the rest of the village, "is a tool of destruction." He walked over to the only place with technology in this village, the pokecenter, and entered where he was greeted by a Nurse Joy at the counter.
"Welcome," she said, "may I heal your pokemon?" Axel sat down on a brown sofa near the entrance and turned his attention towards Nurse Joy.
"No. We're fine." he said and pulled out his pokeball from his belt. He looked at it and was disgusted with the fact that the creatures were held in these containers. "Why must humans be so cruel?" he asked himself and put the pokeball back. He leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes, seeing a vision of his future. A world where everything is perfect and nothing is wrong. This is what he wishes to accomplish, but he couldn't do it alone. He'd need the Legendary Titans of Psyonica to complete his life-long dream. "But first... I'll need to ask the Old One about the Titans." he thought and got up and walked out of the pokecenter. "His house is in this village, I know." he said to himself and smiled as he breathed the fresh air the resonanted the village. "But where is his house?" he asked himself out loud and began walking around the small village.
After asking a couple people, he finally found the house of the Old One and entered. Inside was nothing more than a small table, pots on a stove, and a bed made of straws. This village was like that, very underdeveloped, but that's how they wish to live their lives. "Hello?" Axel asked as he entered and the straw curtains fell behind him closing the exit. "Old One?" he asked and no one responded.
"I'm sorry, young boy, but he left a few days ago." said a frail old woman coming out from another room by the kitchen.
"Uh... I'm sorry," he began bowing, but not really meaning the respect it resembled, "Do you know when he'll return or where he went? I need to speak to him right away." he said sounding somewhat desperate.
"Oh... you must be the trainer, right? One of the new batch?" she asked and Axel found the perfect excuse, grinning at his luck.
"Yes, ma'am. I'm just wondering about the old stories about Psyonica and the Legendary Titans. I want to learn so much about this world." he lied and saw the old woman's eyes lite up.
"Oh... well I'm not supposed to say, but you're such an egar young boy I just can't help myself. My husband went on a little trip to Coral Resort Bay to try and find some good vitamins for us. Old age has hit us hard recently and our medicinal herbs can only do so much. Please, if you run into him tell him to hurry. I miss him so." she said and Axel waved as he left the hut.
"What a joke! That was almost too easy! Now I just got to find the Old One and learn all I can." he thought, ginning so widely, but then his grin dropped slightly. "A new batch of trainers? You mean there's going to be more of those people trying to contain and use pokemon for their own purpose? Disgraceful! Good thing I'm heading towards their destination then. Coral Resort Bay is where the first Gym is and now I'll be there to confront them!" he thought growing infuriated at the thought. He left Bell Village and continued towards Gray Coast which was about midpoint from the two towns.

Adrian Sarno was in doubt. He was irritated that he had not been the first to choose. It was his battleplan from the get-go. Get the pokemon first, and it would be the strongest. But, this time his plan did not come to fruition. That Tekno kid had beaten him to selection. He had picked the grass type. Now, Adrian was most definetly not a person to pick a grass type pokemon, but he hated to lose a selection, even if that selection was out of the question.
The water type vaguely interested him. It was a water type after all, and had mutiple reasons it could be used effectivly, but none of them seemed to satisfy the bloodthirsty trainer. He did not need a pokemon who can break your spine with his mind, he needed a pokemon that could reach into an enemy back, show Adrian his victims horrified look when he begins to rip out his spine.
The Fire type is what interest him the most, Imber, it would grow into a dark type, something Adrian did not paticuarly enjoy out of all of them, but not too bad as compared to psychic type, which he hated with a burning passion. Psychics can tap into your innermost secrets, something Adrian finds both disturbing and sickening. Adrian loves having his own little secrets, keeping everyone else in the dark about him, but what does that mean to a stupid pokemon with a weird built up brain? Absolutly nothing, and it pisses him off.
" I want the fire type."Adrian said, prouncing his world slowly and with effect.

Kanon shrugged and walked over, grabbing the last pokeball. "Guess that leaves me with the water type," Kanon sais as he flipped the pokeball up into the air over his head and spun around easily catching the ball behind his back.
"So Professor, what exactly are we supposed to do with these guys? There has to be some catch to you giving us these pokemon..." Kanon shrugged as he shoved the pokeball into his pocket and leaned against the wall again.
What exactly do you want old man? He thought to himself as he relaxed.

(FYI, you guys are posting in wrong area...)

"Well," began Ash when Kanon asked what to do with the pokemon, "You are going to go on a little task for me. In return, I give you each a rare pokemon to befriend and cherish. Pokemon are our friends and, as such, should be treated with the utmost respect. I trust you with these pokemon and now, for the catch. Have you ever heard of the Legendary Titans?" He finally asks looking at them and smiling to himself. "Of course, you probably think you know, but in reality, everyone tries to cover the truth. You see, I respect you and trust you, and so in return, I expect you respect me and trust me." he began walking towards a window and looking out at the small town. "The titans forged Psyonica with their bare hands, fists, and their raw power. Apparently, when they broke open a fissure on this region, it released a bunch of energy that, in turn, formed into a solid partical of energy, a sphere of power. This could be a key to unlocking the mysteries of pokemon, but me and my colleagues are still unsure. There is someone who knows more about this region and about the legends than me in Coral Bay Resort. Please, could you go there and find a person called the Old One? He's already expecting you and I'm sure you'll know who he is once you see him." Ash finished and looked back at the trainers and smiled. "Whadda ya say?" he asked awaiting their reply.

(Might be a little out of order, but I tried to make it flow as smothly as possible...)

Kanon looked at the professor and smiled widely. "If you’re asking us to go on an adventure to far away dangerous places where children shouldn't be going...I'm in." He laughed as he finished his joke.
"This piece of technology is worth more than a ditto sex slave..." Kanon said but noticed no one was laughing and his smile slid off his face. "Not that I'd do that, just saying...you know..."
Adrian Sarno sighed."Sure....".He held in laughter over the Ditto joke, taking a note that this man was very sick minded, almost as sick minded as Adrian himself when it comes to violence."I get a chance to bust a few heads..that I am all in."
Tekno turned around to face Kanon, narrowing his eyelids at the young man's less than tasteless "joke". "You're disgusting." Tekno flatly told him, with no amusement at all in his voice...though, he had to admit he did feel a twinge of respect in recognizing the fact even Kanon knew quality work when he saw it.

However, he turned back to Professor Ash, smiling a bit. Yes, he had heard of the legends--and had even done a bit of minor research on them as well. However, with all Legendary Pokemon there wasn't as much information on it as he would have liked to study...especially since that was part of the reason his Aunt Jio had even sent him in the first place. Reaching out to take the PokeDex, he began looking it over, turning it around in his hands and admiring it himself. However, he quickly slipped it into his pocket with the thought he'd look at it later as he turned his back attention to the man before him.
"Thanks this will come in handy," Kanon said as his pokedex reached his hand. He looked it over admiring its craftsmanship and whistled to himself.
-"That won't be a problem," Tekno stated, nodding and thumping his chest lightly. "That was half the reason I even came here in the first place. You can count on me, Professor. I won't let ya down!"

He looked over the pokedex, scanning through entries and examining them.He slowly walked out of the lab, focusing on training his newest pokemon.First thing is first, after all. So he ran into the thick grass, and attempted to search for a pokemon. It did not matter to him what type it was,he just needed a battle to get his blood flowing, here and now.

Tekno thanked Professor Ash and nodded again, stepping out from the lab himself...though, he paused a small bit.

"Well, there's no point in rushing off to the Coral Bay right away, is there?" He asked out loud, though he spoke mainly to himself than anything--which, admittedly, was a rather odd habit of his but was quite prone to doing. Pulling out the one PokeBall, he tossed it off and upwards. "Alright, Tealth! C'mon out and meet your new partner!"

As the PokeBall cracked open, there was a burst of white light and a flash of white energy, as the Pokemon materialized before him. Pausing, Tekno blinked down--he smiled, grinned, actually, as he knelt down to its level. He...couldn't quite describe what it was--words, oddly, failed him at this point. It was definitely reminiscent of amphibious lifeforms, that was sure. A tadpole, to be a bit more exact...almost vaguely reminded him of another foreign Pokemon called Poliwag.

It wasn't quite a Poliwag, however. In fact, it seemed to be a significantly smaller, rounder and armless version of Politoed. It was definitely a Grass-type, with its long tail having a leaf-like structure, and its legs weren't very developed--but enough for it at least enough for it to be move at a surprising speed, though it seemed more suited to hopping than outright running. It looked like it was fairly quick regardless. It's mouth was rather developed, with big, bright brown eyes staring up at him. The only noticeable differences from it and Politoed was that it lacked the pink cheeks and the long curled hair atop its head.

"Hey there!" He spoke to his new partner, raising his hand lightly. "My name's Tekno!" He grinned, thinking being friendly was the best way to start things off--trying to ascertain its mannerisms, its nature and personality, gender..."How are you?"

The Tealth was a male, Tekno noticed, and it seemed friendly. It smiled, blinking up at him. The young man wasn't quite sure...and extended its hand to it. The Tealth paused, sniffing him lightly, before letting out a small squeak of acceptance and moving closer to him. Chuckling a bit, Tekno rubbed the small creature on the top of his head, and was pleased was Tealth seemed to enjoy it. Grinning, and standing up, the young man clenched his fist and pumped it once.

"Alright!" He grinned down at his new friend, relieved to know it wasn't going to try and eat him or something. That was always a good thing. Now, the objective remained--get to Coral Bay Coast, and find the Old One.

...Problem was, where was it, precisely? He remembered it was some distance off--he recalled seeing a map back at Professor Ash, and he knew it involved crossing a stream or a river or something at some point, and probably two or three days travel if he took his time. Maybe securing some quicker transportation was in order. He would definitely need to secure a map, if nothing else. ...And definitely some extra PokeBalls. Perhaps some medicinal supplies. He knew he'd have to balance his purchases out, though....he only had a limited supply of cash.

...Perhaps Mom and Dad might help him out, he figured.

Right. First things first, he nodded. Picking up Tealth and allowing him to settle in his trainer's arms, Tekno began to walk away from the lab and into the town of Gray Coast proper, hoping to locate a general store or something.

Adrian glanced at the Professor and stepped out, clutching the poke-ball that contained his Pokemon. He walked into the grass, heading towards the the nearest poke-center.He felt the grass rub against his side and he thought the close that was wearing was a bit to skimpy for the adventure he was about to take. But Adrian wasn't going to give any mercy, no mercy to anyone or anything that decided to be stupid enough to enter his way.
A brown imp of some kind jumped out of the grass and Adrian was forced to jump to the side.It growled something like "KEY!" it wanted his keys? Whatever it wanted, it wasn't going to get it. Adrian stood up, glaring at the brown creature. He quickly removed his poke-ball from his belt, letting his Pokemon out. It formed into a little flightless Pokemon.
The Mankey ran at it, its claw forming into a fist. It began to travel very quickly. The new Pokemon looked back at Adrian and almost panicked. Adrian waited a few second then screamed "Scratch!"It turned around and its own claw began to glow white. It sidestepped then launched it forward in a uppercut like maneuver. It caught the attacking Mankey under his mouth and send it flying forward. The Mankey caught itself with its long arms and began to run towards Imber once again. Imber was a bit more calm and used the same maneuver, this time throwing it into a nearby tree. Then suddenly, the Mankey began to glow red. It was suddenly much faster and Imber did not have the speed to dodge it.The Mankey began to punch it very rapidly and Imber cried out in pain. It began to scream louder and louder but then it countered with a strong Scratch attack. The Mankey flew again but it caught itself, still moving really quickly.
Adrian did not believe what he saw. Imber's red fire was not only burning bigger but it also turned blue. Imber glared at the Mankey and began to breath in.Adrian did not have a single idea what was going on. Imber waited until the Mankey was close and suddenly shout out small red fireballs at his opponent.Mankey was moving to rapidly and was caught in the fire. It screamed out in pain and then its dark red eyes were closed.
Adrian heard a growl and saw a puppy Pokemon of some sort run rapidly at Imber. Imber turned and fired fireballs at this creature too, but it was not hurt and thus could easily dodge them, jumping from piece of tall grass to the other, making it hard to see. Imber was confused by the sudden motion and got a bit dizzy. He fired more shots of fire and a few of them met there mark. Inupup cried out in pain but kept going. Adrian knew it was weak but for some reason it was still moving quickly.Imber suddenly stopped firing fireballs and sat down, exhausted. Then the Inupup decided to strike. It jumped in the air, attempting to tackle the Pokemon. It finally regained it sense of direction but it was simply too late as the Pokemon was to close to be dodged. Imber closed its eyes awaiting for unconsciousness. Then he felt a light bump on its head. It opened its eyes and looked down, it was a poke-ball which was shaking softly. It was beeping red and the Imber looked at Adrian, saying a silent thanks. Adrian nodded his head and then flipped his baseball cap back to its frontal position when the ball stopped and he had captured the Inupup.

Axel, walking in the direction of Gray Coast, sees the tender trees sway in the wind. "If the world was only a better place, one without human interuption." he thought to himself and noticed a bush moving closeby. He stopped walking and watched the bush as it ended it frenzy. Axel slowly approached the bush and suddenly a wild Ponyta burst out and shot an Ember at him. He jumped out of the way, but part of the tail end of his trenchcoat was seared and he stepped on it putting out the fire. He now had a burn on the bottom of his jacket, which made him slightly frustrated, but he was perfectly fine with it. "What's the matter?" he asked the pokmeon as he approached it. "A male Ponyta with a bad attitude. Perhaps something happened to it recently?" he asked himself and walked cautiously towards the pokemon. "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you. I only want to know what has happened." he said and walked up to the Ponyta to notice it has a sickly look on its face. "Poisoned?" he asked somewhat shocked. "There are no poisonous pokmeon nearby here unless there's a trainer trying to catch this Ponyta. Disgusting!" he thought and heard someone behind him finally catch up.
"Ha ha! There it is! Use Poison Sting!" commanded the youngster at his Ekans. The snake opened its mouth and hurled a lot of purple pins at the Ponyta, to which Axel stood in front and covered his body with his cape-like coat. It blocked the weak attack and he threw it open and faced the youngster. "Hey! That's my Ponyta!" he cried out and Axel pointed at the Ekans.
"Ponyta, use Ember. Show him that force isn't everything." Axel said and the Ponyta followed his orders and fired a burst of Ember at the Ekans which burnt it leaving a black coat of soot over the pokemon as it fell of the youngster's arm. "Now then..." began Axel walking up to the youngster, "Release your pokemon." he commanded.
"What?" asked the youngster nearing tears.
"You're using pokemon as tools for your own desire. Release them and you shall not hurt them anymore. I promise you that you will become friends with them one day, but right now you do not understand the fundamentals of pokemon battling or even how to take care of them. I am sure you still live at your own house? Leave your pokmeon here and you may return in one piece... otherwise..." he explained poiting at the youngster and the Ponyta behind him grew its flames higher, "You might not see them again."
The youngster, with tears blinding him, dropped everything he had and ran back the way he came from. Dropping two pokeballs and his wallet, Axel was ready to continue on the Gray Coast, but first, there was something the Ponyta wanted to deal with (+450PD).
Axel walked over to one of the bushes the Ponyta was found in and noticed it was bearing a pink fruit known as a Pecha Berry. He slowly gave it to Ponyta and smiled as the pokemon took it from his hand and chewed it a couple of times before swallowing it. The fiery horse let out a little cry as the berry had a sweet taste to it and enjoyed it plenty. "Better take a couple of these just in case." he said to himself and picked off a couple, rip Pecha Berries (+2 Pecha Berry).

After a couple hour nap, Ponyta nudged at Axel's arm. He was busy looking off into the distance and wondering what the Old One would say to him. "Ah, you're awake? Well then, hopefully you'll be more cautious around trainers." he said and began walking away. The Ponyta watch, but finally came after Axel and let out a cry. Axel turned around and saw Ponyta behind him, preparing for a battle. "You wish to accompany me on my journey? Very well." he said letting out his only pokemon at the moment. "Go out, Larzle!" he shouted and the metalic bee came out with grace and fierce rivalry. Larzle did not like new companions joining his trainer's side, so to ensure no one that can hold him down joins he tests them to see how they can manage. "Larzle, use Bide." Axel called knowing full well Larzle's defense could take a couple Embers before falling. The Ponyta whipped its head around and shot out an Ember striking at the Larzle. The bug did not move and grew intensly red letting everyone know it was ready to strike soon. The Ponyta ran up to the Larzle and Tackled it, but surprisingly did not move the Larle's position. It then unleashed the mighty power of the Ponyta back and struck it with great force. The Ponyta flew back and landed on its feet, ready to continue fighting. "Larzle, use Bug Bite!" Axel commanded knowing that the effets of Swarm might've activated from the Ponyta's strength. The bug struck at the horse and began gnawing at it's body, but was hardly effetive and the Ponyta looked at the Larzle and blew a powerful Ember scorching the bug and making it almost faint. Larzle did not want to give up and tried its best to stay conscious. "Use Pin Missle!" Axel said knowing the probability that Ponyata has won was great. Larzle did not follow Axel's orders and charged at the Ponyta and tried using Bug Bite, but the Ponyta slammed into it and made it fly back and hit the ground. Ponyta had succeeded and Axel found a new friend.
"You are quiet wonderful in battle. Even though I may have lost... will you join us in a grand quest? I only allow this for pokemon that can actually defeat Larzle." he said thinking about the Egg he had with him. The Ponyta lifted its front two legs and kicked them in excitement and Axel grabbed one of his pokeballs and let Ponyta bump and activate it capturing it with ease. He finally continued towards the town leaving behind the youngsters two pokeballs on the road.

Kanon walked out of the Professors lab and watched the others release their pokemon. He walked past Tekno and laughed slightly at how he was treating his newfound friend, enjoying the sight. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out the pokeball and looked at it not releasing the pokemon trapped inside. "Well Krish...just its just you and me. But you seem kinda lame for my tastes, turning into a psychic pokemon? I like physical contact," as he said this he flexed his muscles and smiled, "But I guess you will have to do for now.".
Kanon replaced the pokeball and walked out unto route 0 to begin the first part of his long arduous journey, the trip to Coral Bay Resort. Maybe I can catch something besides this thing... He thought to himself as he walked into the short brush that lay along the trail.

Tekno continued walking through the town of Gray Coast. Still in his arms, Tealth looked rather comfortable in his grip, as Tekno continued to walk through the streets of the town.

"Store, store, store, store..." Tekno mumbled to himself softly, glancing back and forth between the buildings. Finally, he spotted a building some distance towards the edge of Gray Coast, leading out towards Route Zero, leading to Coral Bay Coast. The building wasn't what Tekno would call ramshackle, but it certainly was dilapidated. Unlike most of the buildings in the town that appeared to be made from brick and mortar, the shop was still constructed out of wood with certainly looked mellowed with time. The wood wasn't rotted, but it had certainly seen its fair share of rainstorms and bugs. Some of the mesh on the screens in the door and the windows had a couple of tiny holes which still needed to be patched, and there was a distinctive musty smell of an antiquated building emanating from it.

The sign, which simply read Ma and Pa's pretty much confirmed it as...well, a mom-and-pop store. Shrugging, Tekno decided to head inside, figuring there was nothing to lose from simply checking it out.

As Tekno entered the building, the screen door opened with the tiny dinging of a bell. The owner and proprietor of the building--a grizzled and bearded yet balding man who appeared just as decrepit as the building that Tekno could only assume was Pa--glanced up from his newspaper momentarily to give Tekno a toothy grin and a wave. He was sitting behind a rocking chair behind his counter, which held a rather old fashioned cash register that looked it was straight out of the Old West era. A Growlithe lay right next to the counter, asleep, its fur mattered and grayed with age. It was probably just as old as his master.

Glancing around, Tekno noticed that the building on the inside had an appearance that was just as old-timey as it did on the outside. A frayed woolen rug covered most of the floor of the store, and the musty air inside of the building was still rather thick, even with the windows open. A small scent of what the young man suspected to be tobacco could be hinted at in the air. It felt just a tiny bit stuffy and--as he glanced up--saw that was likely because the wooden ceiling fan wasn't in operation. It was just as well, considering that there was a rather thick layer of dust on it and starting it up probably would have sent it all over the place.

In fact, the place looked pretty dusty on its own without the fan added to it. The floor appeared in desperate need of a broom and the two shelves of items available, if they were capable of moving about and speaking on their own, would have been crying out for some Pledge. Snorting a bit, the young man tried not to kick any of it up as he began to browse the limited merchandise available. There didn't seem to be a whole lot available--some PokeBalls, some Potions, and some Awakenings, but the shelves for what seemed to hold Antidotes and Paralyze Heals were completely empty. Setting Tealth down, checking his wallet and making sure he had enough money, Tekno grasped five PokeBalls, and five Potions. He didn't bother with the Awakenings.

"Mornin', sonny!" The old man wheezed, a small whistling sound being heard through the gap of his front two teeth as Tekno came up to the counter. "That'll be all for you?"

"Yes, sir." Tekno nodded, placing the merchandise down, before turning his head and letting out a sneeze.

"Bless you, sonny!" The old man man smiled. "Gotta watch out for yer health. Weather's getting to be mighty unpredictable. Don't wanna come down with a cold!" Tekno didn't have the heart to tell the elder that it was really just due to the copious amount of gilings in the air. "That'll be 2500 -P-."

Shelling out the cash, Tekno suddenly realized something.

"Say, Pops," He started. "I'm heading out towards Coral Bay, and I'm afraid I'm rather new to the region. I don't suppose you have any maps for sale or anything, do ya?"

The bearded man scratched the white fluffy hair on his chin, furrowing his brow. "No, sonny, I'm 'fraid I don't. You might wanna ask that nice young man down the road, Doctor Ashes or whathiswhoha. He's a nice young fella. Needs to eat more often, though."

"I just came from Professor Ash's lab." Tekno said. "He didn't have any." ~Well, there was one hanging up on the wall, but that was a fairly large one. I don't think he wouldn't have given us one if he had any to give out.~

"Ah. Well, that's too bad. I'm sorry, sonny." The owner shrugged as Tekno pocketed the PokeBalls and slid the Potions into his Satchel. "You said you were headed to Coral Bay, right? 's not too far from here, really. Just head along Route 0 and keep on headin' west. Just stay on the road. You can't possibly miss it."

"Meh," Tekno stated. "Well, I suppose that's the way the cookie crumbles. Stay on the road, eh? Sounds simple enough. I'll do that. Thanks, sir!" He grinned, nodding, and turning over to Tealth--who was examining the sleeping Growlithe on the flooor. "Tealth! C'mon, buddy, we're going."

"Have a good day!" The old man waved them off as the Grass type jumped back to attention, hopping after his trainer. The young man waved him back, nodding, and left.

"Right." Tekno stated, as he stood in front of the store. Glancing down at his partner, Tekno pumped his fist again. "Follow the yellow dirt road, eh? Sounds like a plan. C'mon, Tealth, we gotta 'nother old person to see!"

"Teal-eal-eal!" He spoke, eyes closing in a standard happy smile. With that, Tekno grinned, turned and started heading on down the path towards Route 0, towards Coral Bay, and towards his destiny.

Stepping out onto the grasses of Route Zero, Tekno paused at the entrance to the route. Tealth was standing beside him, and the young man smiled down at him.

"You ready, Tealth?!" Tekno pumped his fist. The Grass Pokemon jumped up and did a fairly impressive backflip, landing with a squeak. The young man laughed. "Alright! Let's go!"

Moving to head along the path, Tekno remembered the old man's advice to stay on the road...and did so, at a fairly decent jog. Along the way, he kept an eye out for some Pokemon that were on the road, trying to figure out what sort of Pokemon he wanted to catch. As he did so, he spotted a group of eggs along the side of the road nearing the forest--about approximately six of them, one of which seemed to be fairly cracked. They didn't seem to notice Tekno and Tealth, and kept on hopping into the forest.

"Exeggcute," Tekno murmured... He shook his head. Exeggcute were wor--well, no, no Pokemon was worthless, but Exeggcute were definitely not a great choice. Perhaps if one needed a Grass type or a Psychic type, but there were far better Pokemon out there...especially since Exeggecute was weak to no less than seven types and was one out of five Pokemon in the entire world that was. Besides, he already had Tealth, and he didn't want to catch a Psychic type if he could out and out help it. Not that there were anything wrong with them overall. Continuing to glance around, however, he didn't see much of anything else...

After a moment, he spotted a Mankey hopping and swinging from branch to branch among the trees, although it had also seen them and was actually eyeing them cautiously. Tekno smirked. A Fighting-type. That would be useful, but again, he already had one--or rather, he would once Tealth gained some experience and eventually evolved. Then again, he supposed it wouldn't hurt to have a second one on the team. Grinning, Tekno moved to point at it, before--

"Wait a second." Tekno mused, pulling out his PokeDex. Scanning Tealth, he wondered precisely what sort of moves it already knew...the registration came up with it already knowing Tackle and Leer and...that was it. Closing his eyes about halfway, he sighed a bit. "Alright, well, I suppose a bit of training is in order here. Right, buddy! Are you ready to battle!?"

"Tealth Tealth!" It did another backflip, narrowing its eyes at him in an affirmative cry.

"Awesome!" Tekno grinned, turning around at calling up at Mankey. "Hey! Mankey! Yo!" He grinned, grasping a PokeBall. "We want to battle! How about it?"

The Mankey hung from its branch, glaring at them...and then, unusally, it actually turned around and began swinging away!

"Guh-?!" Tekno caught his breath, nearly falling forward in shock. "What th--?! 'EY! Get back 'ere!" He called out, raising a hand and beginning to give chase. Tealth blinked, hopping behind his trainer as he began to run after the Fighting type...

Adrian sent out his Inupup. He was goint to train it to the point of exhaustion.Just watch him.
"Inupup,I choose you!"He shouted as he let out his pokemon, extending it's pokeball and releasing the creature. It blinked at him, baring his teeth. Adrian crouched down and began to pet it softly, staring into it's eyes. It was certainly a quick pokemon, and he could use that to his advantage. He was petting it when he noticed a small brown creature begin to make it's way towards them, Adrian lifted his Inupup and began to speak to it."I want you to dash into it. It is a Mankey, so you are going to have to avoid it's scratch attacks."Adrian would say, letting it down and giving it a wink.It just had to win for him.
The Inupup ran quickly, suddenly turning the distance between them to nearly nothing. He quickly jumped to the side, avoiding a scratch attack. It jumped foward, hitting the creature square on it's forhead. It began to glow red, and Adrian began to shout at him."Dodge!NO MORE ATTACKING,DODGE!".The Inupup dodged, and quickly rolled, getting behind it. The mankey turned and nearly caught it in an attack but the Inupup rolled again, this time it noticed that the red shade on its body has disappeared. "ATTACK!"Adrian would shout, slightly startling his Inupup, and making it jump a bit quicker then he expected, accidently hitting the mankey's left eye with his forehead. It screamed out in pain and Adrian laughed shouting "ONE MORE DASH!" and it rammed its entire body against the Mankey, knocking it unconcious. Adrian smiled then called it back, to Adrian's suprise, it leaped at him, landing in his arms and licking his cheek.Adrian laughed silently, and walked towards the city very rapidly.
When he got there it was dark out so he decided to sleep in one of the free rooms they had avaliable. It was kind of dirty, but it was free so he could not complain...

As Tekno continued to chase the one Mankey, it quickly gained speed as it swung away from the young man, before disappearing into the trees entirely. Stopping, and moving to catch his breath, he leaned down to press his hands against his knees. His eyes closing a small bit, he heaved lightly as he rested up. Running full-sprint was not something he did often, and it was something he figured he would need to work on as he traveled.

Glancing up as Tealth glanced up at him, having easily caught up to its trainer, the young man noticed a brown, fuzzy shape in the grasses some distance off. Confused, Tekno took a few steps over to it cautiously, only to realize--

"It's another Mankey." He mumbled out loud, though more to himself than anything. However this Mankey looked far more beaten up. It was unconscious, and its left eye appeared to be swollen shut. It didn't appear to be critically injured--nothing a good night's rest and possibly an ice pack couldn't fix--but the young man appeared to be contemplative of something. It didn't seem right, since he didn't battle it, but...well, hell, if it just laying there...

The young man decided to lazily toss a PokeBall at it, figuring if nothing else he'd have it treated at the Pokemon Center and release it later. Picking up the ball as it stopped shaking, Tekno slipped it into his pocket and nonchalantly continued to walk down the path, whistling away as if nothing had happened.

Axel, finally reaching the town where Professor Ash resides, enters the nearby Pokecenter and sits in the waiting area. "Once I find the Old One, what is it he'll say? Will he banish me from his sight? Ugh... I need to get my act together. I'm a new trainer that wants to learn about the legends of Psyonica. That's my plan. Once I learn what I need, I'll be able to get on with my next task: acquiring the titans." Axel then turns and walks over to the counter and asks for his pokemon to be healed. Once that finally resolved, Axel walked out and towards Ash's laboratory. "I wonder if he'll recognize me?" Axel thought as he stopped in front of his house. "I can't be noticed... but there's not time for this foolishness." he thought as he put his hand on the door handle. He turned it slowly and opened the door, letting himself in.
"Hello?" asked Ash as he turned around and saw Axel.
"Proffesor Ash, I just wanted to ask you of something quick," Axel began letting his hair cover his face and tilted it down slightly so his face was completely covered and unrecognizable, "Do you have any starting pokemon left? I want to exchange this pokemon egg I have with one." He finished pulling out an aqua egg with dark blue waves on it.
"I'm sorry, youngster, but I'm afraid I'm out of pokemon at the moment, and even if I had one I would never trade pokemon as if they were expendable! Pokemon are precious creatures that deserve love and care." Ash replied and continued to ramble as Axel smirked.
"You say it so instinctively when in truth you gave away pokemon earlier today knowing that they were rare creatures. How hypocritical." Axel thought and looked up and whipped the hair to his left side. Ash immediately stopped talking and widened his eyes.
"Y-you? A-Axel?" Ash stuttered.
"If you truely have no pokemon, then I am free to grab whatever I so choose? What protection do you have against me? Something of useless strangth? Bah! You sicken me Ash and knowing that you are the smartest man about pokemon in Psyonica sickens me as well. At least there are other people who know something useful in this world." Axel said and turned around and began walking out the door.
"You cannot catch them! It's impossible to tame them!" Ash yelled as Axel closed the door behind him and started walking towards Route 0.
"Impossible to tame them? That may be so, but befriending them is possible." Axel thought as he took his first step onto Route 0.

Kanon had fallen asleep under a tree as soon as he found a nice shady spot and when he opened his eyes he saw another person walking along the route.
"Hey are you a trainer? That's cool I am too, but I don't really like this thing...." Kanon said as he released the Krish from its pokeball. "I prefer things can actually do something," He finished and laughed at his joke punching the air a couple times and practicing his moves.
"What's your name?" He asked as he got more serious.

Axel looked over at the trainer and grinned as he saw the Krish. "My name... is Axel." he said and pulled out his pokemon egg. "I have this egg which contains a rare pokemon," he lied, and I don't belive someone as myself worthy of it. But you, a virgin to this journey, could possibly tame this pokemon?" he walked over and handed the egg to the trainer. "I only ask that we trade pokemon. I'll take Krish off your hands and in return you protect that baby pokemon and turn it into a great ally." He waited for this trainer's response.

Somewhere in the Distant Range...

Muscles aching, sweat dripping off of his forehead, the young man seethed and hissed as he tried to pull himself up the rocky crag surface of the mountainside. His fingers holding a death grip on the ledge, he briefly lost his footing and nearly let go of the outcropping, but he kept his iron grip on the rock to just barely avert plummeting to his doom. Summoning all of his strength, he managed to haul himself up despite the overwhelming pain in his body. Laying back once he had safely reached the platform, he gasped and wheezed from the exertion of climbing up as high as he did.

Sitting up a few moments later, he sighed, before wiping the sweat from his dirty brow with the back of his arm which was just as equally filthy.

"Hot damn. Where the HELL is Coral Resort Bay?" Pulling out a map he had came across during his travels, his finger traced around where it was supposed to be....and, with some confusion, he traced out and calculated his path....and where he eventually wound up currently. Eyes wide, he couldn't help but shout out. "What the--?! HOW DID I END UP ALL THE WAY OUT HERE?!" He groaned, flopping back and moaning, hand over his eyes. "I knew I shouldn't have made that left turn..."

As Tekno continued to walk along Route Zero, he crossed his arms back behind his head and glanced skyward. Taking things at a decent clip, he pulled his satchel in front of him and began to dig through his satchel, before pulling out a granola bar. He never much cared for the things, but he knew that they were nutritious and would give him needed energy for the travels ahead. Breaking it in half, he smiled as he turned to his partner walking beside him.

"Here," he stated, stopping just long enough to hand Tealth his half of the bar. Blinking, the Pokemon took it with his tail--using it as a sort of a makeshift limb. Gazing up at his trainer munching away, the Grass-type sniffed it lightly, before popping the whole thing in his mouth and beginning to chew. After a few seconds, he began to hop up and down--a sign that Tekno took that he liked it. Smiling lightly, he reached down to rub the small creature on his head. "Heh. Like it? Good. I'm glad."

Yawning lightly, he turned away to gaze off and wonder just precisely how far it would be for him to reach Coral Bay. It shouldn't take much longer than a day or so, he figured, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to stay out here and train Tealth a bit or not. ...No, he figured, find the Old One first, then focus on training. The Gym Challenge could wait until he got his priorities taken care of, first. Besides, Tekno needed to make sure the Mankey he recently caught (if that was technically legal) would be okay.
