A brown imp of some kind jumped out of the grass and Adrian was forced to jump to the side.It growled something like "KEY!" it wanted his keys? Whatever it wanted, it wasn't going to get it. Adrian stood up, glaring at the brown creature. He quickly removed his poke-ball from his belt, letting his Pokemon out. It formed into a little flightless Pokemon.
The Mankey ran at it, its claw forming into a fist. It began to travel very quickly. The new Pokemon looked back at Adrian and almost panicked. Adrian waited a few second then screamed "Scratch!"It turned around and its own claw began to glow white. It sidestepped then launched it forward in a uppercut like maneuver. It caught the attacking Mankey under his mouth and send it flying forward. The Mankey caught itself with its long arms and began to run towards Imber once again. Imber was a bit more calm and used the same maneuver, this time throwing it into a nearby tree. Then suddenly, the Mankey began to glow red. It was suddenly much faster and Imber did not have the speed to dodge it.The Mankey began to punch it very rapidly and Imber cried out in pain. It began to scream louder and louder but then it countered with a strong Scratch attack. The Mankey flew again but it caught itself, still moving really quickly.
Adrian did not believe what he saw. Imber's red fire was not only burning bigger but it also turned blue. Imber glared at the Mankey and began to breath in.Adrian did not have a single idea what was going on. Imber waited until the Mankey was close and suddenly shout out small red fireballs at his opponent.Mankey was moving to rapidly and was caught in the fire. It screamed out in pain and then its dark red eyes were closed.
Adrian heard a growl and saw a puppy Pokemon of some sort run rapidly at Imber. Imber turned and fired fireballs at this creature too, but it was not hurt and thus could easily dodge them, jumping from piece of tall grass to the other, making it hard to see. Imber was confused by the sudden motion and got a bit dizzy. He fired more shots of fire and a few of them met there mark. Inupup cried out in pain but kept going. Adrian knew it was weak but for some reason it was still moving quickly.Imber suddenly stopped firing fireballs and sat down, exhausted. Then the Inupup decided to strike. It jumped in the air, attempting to tackle the Pokemon. It finally regained it sense of direction but it was simply too late as the Pokemon was to close to be dodged. Imber closed its eyes awaiting for unconsciousness. Then he felt a light bump on its head. It opened its eyes and looked down, it was a poke-ball which was shaking softly. It was beeping red and the Imber looked at Adrian, saying a silent thanks. Adrian nodded his head and then flipped his baseball cap back to its frontal position when the ball stopped and he had captured the Inupup.

"You ready, Tealth?!" Tekno pumped his fist. The Grass Pokemon jumped up and did a fairly impressive backflip, landing with a squeak. The young man laughed. "Alright! Let's go!"
Moving to head along the path, Tekno remembered the old man's advice to stay on the road...and did so, at a fairly decent jog. Along the way, he kept an eye out for some Pokemon that were on the road, trying to figure out what sort of Pokemon he wanted to catch. As he did so, he spotted a group of eggs along the side of the road nearing the forest--about approximately six of them, one of which seemed to be fairly cracked. They didn't seem to notice Tekno and Tealth, and kept on hopping into the forest.
"Exeggcute," Tekno murmured... He shook his head. Exeggcute were wor--well, no, no Pokemon was worthless, but Exeggcute were definitely not a great choice. Perhaps if one needed a Grass type or a Psychic type, but there were far better Pokemon out there...especially since Exeggecute was weak to no less than seven types and was one out of five Pokemon in the entire world that was. Besides, he already had Tealth, and he didn't want to catch a Psychic type if he could out and out help it. Not that there were anything wrong with them overall. Continuing to glance around, however, he didn't see much of anything else...
After a moment, he spotted a Mankey hopping and swinging from branch to branch among the trees, although it had also seen them and was actually eyeing them cautiously. Tekno smirked. A Fighting-type. That would be useful, but again, he already had one--or rather, he would once Tealth gained some experience and eventually evolved. Then again, he supposed it wouldn't hurt to have a second one on the team. Grinning, Tekno moved to point at it, before--
"Wait a second." Tekno mused, pulling out his PokeDex. Scanning Tealth, he wondered precisely what sort of moves it already knew...the registration came up with it already knowing Tackle and Leer and...that was it. Closing his eyes about halfway, he sighed a bit. "Alright, well, I suppose a bit of training is in order here. Right, buddy! Are you ready to battle!?"
"Tealth Tealth!" It did another backflip, narrowing its eyes at him in an affirmative cry.
"Awesome!" Tekno grinned, turning around at calling up at Mankey. "Hey! Mankey! Yo!" He grinned, grasping a PokeBall. "We want to battle! How about it?"
The Mankey hung from its branch, glaring at them...and then, unusally, it actually turned around and began swinging away!
"Guh-?!" Tekno caught his breath, nearly falling forward in shock. "What th--?! 'EY! Get back 'ere!" He called out, raising a hand and beginning to give chase. Tealth blinked, hopping behind his trainer as he began to run after the Fighting type...

"Inupup,I choose you!"He shouted as he let out his pokemon, extending it's pokeball and releasing the creature. It blinked at him, baring his teeth. Adrian crouched down and began to pet it softly, staring into it's eyes. It was certainly a quick pokemon, and he could use that to his advantage. He was petting it when he noticed a small brown creature begin to make it's way towards them, Adrian lifted his Inupup and began to speak to it."I want you to dash into it. It is a Mankey, so you are going to have to avoid it's scratch attacks."Adrian would say, letting it down and giving it a wink.It just had to win for him.
The Inupup ran quickly, suddenly turning the distance between them to nearly nothing. He quickly jumped to the side, avoiding a scratch attack. It jumped foward, hitting the creature square on it's forhead. It began to glow red, and Adrian began to shout at him."Dodge!NO MORE ATTACKING,DODGE!".The Inupup dodged, and quickly rolled, getting behind it. The mankey turned and nearly caught it in an attack but the Inupup rolled again, this time it noticed that the red shade on its body has disappeared. "ATTACK!"Adrian would shout, slightly startling his Inupup, and making it jump a bit quicker then he expected, accidently hitting the mankey's left eye with his forehead. It screamed out in pain and Adrian laughed shouting "ONE MORE DASH!" and it rammed its entire body against the Mankey, knocking it unconcious. Adrian smiled then called it back, to Adrian's suprise, it leaped at him, landing in his arms and licking his cheek.Adrian laughed silently, and walked towards the city very rapidly.
When he got there it was dark out so he decided to sleep in one of the free rooms they had avaliable. It was kind of dirty, but it was free so he could not complain...

Muscles aching, sweat dripping off of his forehead, the young man seethed and hissed as he tried to pull himself up the rocky crag surface of the mountainside. His fingers holding a death grip on the ledge, he briefly lost his footing and nearly let go of the outcropping, but he kept his iron grip on the rock to just barely avert plummeting to his doom. Summoning all of his strength, he managed to haul himself up despite the overwhelming pain in his body. Laying back once he had safely reached the platform, he gasped and wheezed from the exertion of climbing up as high as he did.
Sitting up a few moments later, he sighed, before wiping the sweat from his dirty brow with the back of his arm which was just as equally filthy.
"Hot damn. Where the HELL is Coral Resort Bay?" Pulling out a map he had came across during his travels, his finger traced around where it was supposed to be....and, with some confusion, he traced out and calculated his path....and where he eventually wound up currently. Eyes wide, he couldn't help but shout out. "What the--?! HOW DID I END UP ALL THE WAY OUT HERE?!" He groaned, flopping back and moaning, hand over his eyes. "I knew I shouldn't have made that left turn..."
As Tekno continued to walk along Route Zero, he crossed his arms back behind his head and glanced skyward. Taking things at a decent clip, he pulled his satchel in front of him and began to dig through his satchel, before pulling out a granola bar. He never much cared for the things, but he knew that they were nutritious and would give him needed energy for the travels ahead. Breaking it in half, he smiled as he turned to his partner walking beside him.
"Here," he stated, stopping just long enough to hand Tealth his half of the bar. Blinking, the Pokemon took it with his tail--using it as a sort of a makeshift limb. Gazing up at his trainer munching away, the Grass-type sniffed it lightly, before popping the whole thing in his mouth and beginning to chew. After a few seconds, he began to hop up and down--a sign that Tekno took that he liked it. Smiling lightly, he reached down to rub the small creature on his head. "Heh. Like it? Good. I'm glad."
Yawning lightly, he turned away to gaze off and wonder just precisely how far it would be for him to reach Coral Bay. It shouldn't take much longer than a day or so, he figured, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to stay out here and train Tealth a bit or not. ...No, he figured, find the Old One first, then focus on training. The Gym Challenge could wait until he got his priorities taken care of, first. Besides, Tekno needed to make sure the Mankey he recently caught (if that was technically legal) would be okay.
