Takashi remained quiet throughout the rest of their voyage. He had upset Nina, it was pretty obvious. The last thing he had planned to do was separate them like this, but he wasn't about to let the girl run head first into trouble. And, he wasn't about to risk Torhu's safety so Nina could get back into the death trap they just left. So, he'd try and talk some sense into her. But later, once she'd calmed down. In the meantime, Takashi would continue rowing, trying to fit together the plan that was unfolding inside his head. He had a good idea of how to find the avatar, but there was still the problem of finding suitable benders who would be willing to help. He guessed Nina would come along, once they told her why they're doing all this. But, as for when to tell her, that was another obstacle.

Night soon fell, which was rather good news for Takashi. They had finally made it to the Earth Kingdom. Omashu was still a few hours' walk, but it was getting closer. Takashi found a quiet, hidden cove to hide the boat, and slowly crept onto the land, checking to be sure the Fire Nation hadn't made another checkpoint. Everything seemed to be natural, which had the fire bender worried. "I don't like this.. If the Earth King has declared war on the Fire Nation, there should be a huge wall around the coast, or some other kind of protection. But, there's nothing here.."
