John was still moving around in the darkness of the creepy basement as Mattie and Mathew discussed his encountered with the dark ghost force which had momentarily taken over his body. The sheer immensity of the dwelling was also apparent within this basement, although there were walls of dirt which separated the various chambers which existed beneath the house, John's only means of getting his barring within the basement was the light coming from the basement doors. John had turned a corner when he heard several sudden disturbing sounds, John was terribly frightened as he stepped back into the main basement area, with the addition of several other strange sounds John had lost his barring and the door which provided his light had been violently shut by some unseen force, "Perhaps it was the wind" John thought.
