With a flick of the brim of his hat Jess excused himself from Daiyu presence and made his way to the reverends wagon to see if he could lend a hand with repairing the broken wagon wheel. The reverend told Jess that he had all the help he needed in his young servant. With a light kick Jess commanded his horse to move on, this time he made his way toward one of the abandoned buildings. There was very little that needed to be set up for the night, seeing as there were plenty of empty buildings in the old abandoned town. A few of the residents of Hell on Wheels had grown tired of the ceaseless travelling and had their doubts about the fortune which supposedly awaited them in the Sawtooth mountains. It had crossed several of their minds that the town of Hope Falls would be a great place to set up a permanent residence, completly unaware of the towns history. There were still many hours before dawn and so the men started one of their immense bonfires, for which the townsfolk of Hell on Wheels were famous for.

On this particular night the huge fire helped to illuminate the creeping darkness which engulfed the dilapidate dwellings which stood backdropped against the pitch black night. The introduction of light within the town created strange shadows which protruded from the holes and breaks in the old buildings, casting their eerie patterns upon the ground. As the others settled around the fire and told ghost stories Jess was standing within the old church at the far end of the town. The church pews of this godforsaken place were in varying degrees of disrepair, with many of them being nothing more then splintery-stumps. Neither Jess nor the townsfolk were aware of the figures stalking toward their position.
